A/N: Woo here's another chapter! I feel like if Remy had been a part of the X-men in Evolution he and Logan would have helped Rogue through her power surge. Also I feel like he would get a kick out of making Scott mad especially during danger room sessions. Anyways! Here's chapter 10! Lemme know what you guys think!

Chapter 10: Power Surge and Problems

Rogue woke up that morning rubbing her head, groaning a bit. Since she hasn't been practicing controlling her powers for a while, she can feel the psyches start to come back up from the back corners of her mind. They hadn't bothered her before when she was on her trip as she was distracted but also learning how to control her powers and had worn a power dampening collar a couple times.

Another thing that has been happening since she's been home is her nightmares returning. There were nights when Remy couldn't sneak in, due to Logan, but other nights he was able to and helped calm her down. This morning was entirely different for Remy as he watched his girlfriend groan a bit and rub her temple. "Y' okay?" He asks, a bit concerned.

Rogue gives him a small smile. "Yeah. Jus' the psyches actin' up… Er ah should say the consciousness of those ah have absorbed that are left in mah mahnd. Ah'll be fahne!"

Remy gives her a bit of a skeptical look, feeling like something might happen, but he nods and trusts her. Though he couldn't shake the feeling he was getting in his gut. He offers to drop her off to school, Rogue smiling and saying 'that would be great' as she didn't want to hear about Jean gushing about Scott in her car.

Remy stops his motorcycle engine when he arrives in the parking lot, several people looking over. Rogue gets off, placing her helmet in it's spot, then swings her backpack onto her shoulder. "Rogue!" Risty greets her, hugging her arm a bit. "Oh, hello, Rogue's boyfriend I didn't know about."

"Name's Remy." Remy nods with a small smile, but his eye were a bit cold, same as Risty's.

"Well, Remy. I'll be taking my friend here to a concert tonight." Risty smiles. "If that's okay with you?"

"She's able t' make 'er own decisions wit'out m' input o' sayin' where she can an' can't be." Remy shrugs, wondering why he was getting weird vibes from Risty.

Rogue looks back and forth between the two, clearing her throat. "Well, ah'll see ya aftah school, shugah." Rogue smiles apologetically and kisses his cheek, whispering 'I love you' in his ear.

Remy smirks, then kisses her lips. "'Ll be back t' pick y' up."

Rogue blushes at the public display, nodding, then her and Risty walk off. Remy ponders why Risty was giving him a weird feeling, figuring he should tag along to the concert later. Before he could leave, as all the students were going inside for first period, he felt several presences behind him, a gust of wind wizzing past him. He smirks a bit. "An' what do y' losers want?" He asks, knowing it was the Brotherhood.

"You playing hero, Gambit?" Pietro asks, hands on his hips.

"'M not playin' anyt'in'." Remy gets up and turns to face them. "Now why don' y' run along t' class."

"Ey yo, what's with you and Rogue?" Toad asks.

"I don' gotta tell y'." Remy plays with a deck of cards he had in his pocket, leaning against his parked motorcycle. "What happens between me an' Rogue is none o' y' concern."

"So does Magneto know you're an X-man?" Lance asks.

Remy glances up, a bored look on his face. "'S dat all y' wanted t' ask?"

"We just want to see if you're still considered an ally or an enemy." Pietro steps up. "And I'll make sure my father knows you are part of the X-men."

Remy shrugs. "Go ahead. Jus' know dat I can still kick y' asses wit'out even takin' out a single card, so yeah, 'm wit' de X-men, but don' go after Rogue."

Remy gives them a look as he warned them, then he gets back on his motorcycle and speeds off. The brotherhood watch, then Lance tells them to go inside. Meanwhile, Rogue and Risty were talking, Rogue walking towards a drinking fountain, but got a flash of Storm and made the fountain spout electricity and spew water. Rogue freaks out, running off while leaving Risty and some students stunned.

Risty finds her later on a bench outside, her head down. "Were..those your powers?" Risty asks as she stops in front of Rogue.

"Yes-ah mean no," Rogue sighs. "Look, if ah were ta touch you raght now, ah can put ya unconscious in a coma… or worse. Ah'd absorb all yoah memories an' thoughts."

"Whoa…" Risty looks at her friend, feeling sympathetic. "Hey, I know what would cheer you up. Making fun of the geeks at the concert tonight, what do ya say?"

"Ah don't know…" Rogue looks at her hands, hesitant.

"Come on, it'll be fun. I wanna catch up with my friend!" Risty insists.

"Well… alraght." Rogue nods.

The school day went on, Rogue keeping an eye on herself incase something happened again. She rubs her temple as she walked on the path, hearing Remy's motorcycle pull up. "Y' okay chère?" He asks, getting up and looking at her concerned a bit.

"Ah'm fahne, just a headache." Rogue nods, opening her eyes.

Remy makes a face, but then sighs. "Alright, 'll take y' home."

Rogue leans her head against his back after she got on the motorcycle, her arms hugging his frame. They get to the mansion, Remy looking at his girlfriend as he felt like something was off. "Y' sure y' okay, Rogue?"

"Well… taday wasn't great. Somehow ah used Storm's powahs and accidentally blew up a drinkin' fountain. Ah think it's cause ah haven't been practicin' controllin' mah powers evah since we came back heah." Rogue looks at him, her guard down as she gazed at him with a soft expression.

"Did y' wanna stay home instead o' goin' t' de concert?" Remy asks.

"Ah promised Risty ah'd hang out with her as a lil catch up." Rogue sighs. "Ah think ah should be fahne. Ah'll just try ta hang out in the back where there's less people." Rogue tries to reassure her boyfriend, but she could tell he was a bit uneasy.

Remy nods and the rest of the evening went on as it was time to go to the concert. Risty and Rogue enter the building, tons of people there. Scott had an arm around Jean, commenting on how Kitty brought Jamie. Kurt and Amanda were together and having fun as they watched, while Rogue tried to stay in the back, but Risty grabs her arm. "Come on! Let's get closer!" She grins as she pulls Rogue along.

They get near the stage, Rogue wrapping her arms around herself. "Ah don't think this was a good idea. Ah'm not good with crowds. Ah think ah should head home."

Risty looks at her. "What?! But we just got here! This is fun Rogue!"

"Yeah, but ah'm kinda feelin'… claustrophobic. Ah think ah'll call Remy ta come pick meh up." Rogue glances around, trying to make sure people didn't bump into her, but everyone was dancing and jumping.

Risty makes a face. "So what? I'm not cool for you anymore?"

"What?" Rogue looks at her surprised and shocked. "Ah nevah said that."

"Ever since you came back, you suddenly have a boyfriend and you were gone for a long period of time. Plus, I don't think your boyfriend is right for you." Risty says, her arms crossed.

"Ya don't know Remy." Rogue's face changes, her stance defensive with her arms still around herself. "Ya got no say in who ah should see, Risty."

Risty's eyes were on Rogue, but then her expression changes and lightens. "Hey, why don't we just forget this conversation and have fun?"

Meanwhile, Remy arrives and starts to look around for Rogue, following his gut instinct. He ignores some girls trying to flirt with him as his focus was on finding his girl. He saw her and Risty near the front, seeing how uncomfortable Rogue was and noticed it looked like the two were arguing.

Rogue makes a face. "Ah'm just gonna go. This place is way too crowded fer mah lahkin'."

Rogue starts to leave but Risty grabs her arm, pleading. "Please, Rogue, don't go! Just relax and have some fun!"

Her sleeve rips a bit as a of couple people bump into her and Risty still held on, her powers absorbing them and Rogue letting out a gasp as her whole sleeve is ripped off as she stumbles. She stumbles into Risty and absorbs her, getting flashes of Mystique flooding her brain as she lets out a yell, sweat forming on her brow. Mystique shape shifts back and falls down, rubbing her head while Rogue falls, the psyches taking over as Sabertooth emerges and takes charge first-her body shifting into his. "Rogue!" Mystique's eyes widen as she sees she took the form of Sabertooth.

Remy stops in his tracks as he witnessed what happened, then his eyes catch Mystique and they narrow. People start running and screaming as Sabertooth wrecks the stage, the X-men that were at the concert in shock and got ready. Remy charges forward towards Mystique, feeling anger bubble up. "Mystique, what'd y' do t' Rogue?" He asks.

Mystique looks over, noticing Remy coming towards her. "I didn't do anything, it's all the psyches taking over." She growls.

Remy hears a crash as Scott had blasted Sabertooth into a wall, rubble covering Rogue's body. Kurt teleports to see if Sabertooth was still there but was thrown back when Juggernaut appeared. Remy glares back to Mystique. "Y' need t' stay away from Rogue." Remy growls.

"Or what? Your going to come after me? Aren't you supposed to be under Magneto's orders, boy?" Mystique challenges back.

Remy's eyes narrow. "Not anymo'. I knew dere was somet'in' suspicious de moment I saw y' wit' Rogue."

Mystique was gonna open her mouth but both snap their heads back towards Juggernaut as he bursts through a wall to escape. Mystique takes this opportunity to sweep Remy under his legs and runs after Rogue. Remy groans then gets up, instantly running past Scott and the others as they help Kurt and Jamie. "Gambit! Wait for the others!" Scott yells.

"Don' got time fo' dat!" Remy yells back, jumping over debris then he was gone.

Rogue opens her eyes as she finds herself in an alleyway, breathing heavily and tears streaming down her face. "Rogue?" Mystique's voice calls out.

"Get away from meh!" Rogue yells. "Ya used meh!"

"Rogue, please just hear me out." Mystique tried to plea, but Rogue transformed into her and threw her on the ground.

"No! You used me!" She yells. "I can't trust you!"

Rogue felt Sabertooth emerge again, running off as his psyche caught a whiff of Logan's scent. Logan gets taken aback when Sabertooth tackles him off his motorcycle. He growls, ready to fight only to pause. "You're not Sabertooth." He says.

"Fight me!" Sabertooth roars.

"Stripes! Fight him!" Logan calls out.

Sabertooth clutches his head, Remy appearing and sighing a bit in relief at finding Rogue. "How do we help 'er?" Remy asks.

"I don't know…" Logan thinks, then Scott's eye beam shoots Sabertooth in the chest. "Cyclops! What are you doing?!"

"Don't worry, Logan. We can handle Sabertooth." Scott says as he runs up to the two.

"Dat's not Sabertooth, it's Rogue!" Remy yells, then he heads to the warehouse Cyclops shot Rogue through.

The others catch up, looking around, while Rogue was trying to steady herself from her head spinning, but the psyches were fighting back, using Avalanche's powers to get her teammates away from her. "Rogue! We're your friends! Let us help you!" Scott shouts out.

"Ah have no friends, not after ya'll left meh in that lab!" Rogue felt Scott's own psyche take over and blasts Scott back into a crate.

Remy uses his bo-staff to steady himself, wincing as he looks up through the now broken roof after Rogue turned into Storm and used her wind powers. "Rogue! Fight 'em!" Remy shouts to her.

Rogue's features soften a bit, but she winces and clutches her head as the psyches were all pounding at her mind to get out. The Professor and Storm land and get out of the blackbird, seeing what was happening. Kurt tries to get her down by porting her but she ports herself back into the spot in the sky while Kurt was flung onto the ground. Jean tries to use her powers but it backfires and she gets flung into Scott's arms. "I can't get to her. It's like all the powers she absorbed are fighting for control." Jean looks up, eyes a bit wide.

"We need to get Rogue down so I can help her. If we don't I'm afraid we can lose her." The Professor says as he wheels forward.

Remy's eyes widen, then he steps forward and looks up at Rogue. "Chère, y' gotta fight dose psyches in y' head! Listen t' my voice." Remy shouts up.

Rogue's features soften again, clutching her head as she forces herself to levitate down. "Ah can't… they're too strong." Rogue whimpers out as she clutches her head, tears rolling down her cheeks.

Remy grabs her wrists, looking at her. "Y' can do dis. I know y' stronger den dem. Fight dose psyches, chère. Focus on m' voice. 'M heah t' help y', mon amour."

Rogue's eyes look into Remy's as she shakes. The Professor comes forward, using his powers, Remy letting go and watching Rogue fight to get all the psyches out. She lets out a cry as she collapses as all the pysches were wiped out of her mind, Remy instantly catching her and looking at her worriedly. "Charles, is she…?" Logan asks, stepping forward.

Charles closes his mind to try to look into Rogue's but lets out a soft gasp and frowns. Remy moves a strand of hair away from Rogue's face gently, holding her close to his body. They all go to the mansion, Rogue being put in the medical wing downstairs, Remy staying by her side on one side of the bed while Logan sat on the other, arms folded. "Y' t'ink she'll wake up soon?" Remy asks, his voice soft while his eyes gazed at Rogue's sleeping form.

"Hard to say. Xavier said her mind is fractured after having all those psyches fight for power and control of her body." Logan sighs.

"Mystique was dere…" Remy mumbles, but Logan heard and looks up at him.

"What do you mean?"

"She was takin' the guise of a girl named Risty. I knew dere was somet'in off 'bout 'er, but it took me till de concert t' figure it out. Feel like dis would 'ave gone differently if I had confronted 'er earlier." Remy looks at Logan with a hard look on his face.

"Mystique was probably trying to manipulate Rogue again… but you couldn't have known for sure that it was Mystique earlier before the concert. She covers her tracks well."

Logan goes to get up, glancing at the two southerners. "Lemme know when Stripes wake up. I'm gonna go talk with the Professor."

Remy nods, then goes back to looking at Rogue, his hand holding hers and rubbing small circles on the top. Eventually he fell asleep, his head on his arm as his hand still held hers. Rogue groggily wakes up the next morning, feeling something holding her hand. Her sight was a bit blurry as she looked down, her eyes adjusting and noticing Remy asleep while his hand held hers. She gives a weak smile and squeezes his hand very lightly, but noticed him stir a little bit and wake up. Remy sees her awake and sits up immediately, relief washing over him. "Rogue…" His voice was soft.

"Hi…" She says weakly and sleepily.

"Y' okay? How're y' feelin'?" Remy goes close to her, his eyes showing concern.

Rogue gives him another weak smile. "Ah'm fahne.. just tired an' mah head is poundin'…"

Remy gives her a small smile, placing a light kiss on her hand, feeling content she was okay. Rogue was to stay in the infirmary for a week, per Hanks orders. Kitty tried bringing her food but Rogue refused to eat anything Kitty made so Remy would bring her food that he made her, which surprised the goth but she was happy to eat food that was edible. "You, like, sure you don't want me to make you dessert?" Kitty asks.

Rogue makes a face. Remy gives a sympathetic look to Kitty. "I don' t'ink Rogue would want t' 'ave anyt'in' else happen t' 'er after havin' 'er head wiped, chat."

"Alright. Maybe I can, like, buy you something instead." Kitty sighs.

"It's fahne, Kitty. Thank you." Rogue tries to give her friend a smile.

Logan walks into the infirmary, his uniform on as he looks directly at Remy. "Suit up, Gumbo." Logan says.

Remy looks up to Logan. "Why?"

"You're coming on your first mission with us. Xavier needs us to go to this museum where an artifact is." Logan explains as he crosses his arms.

Remy looks to Rogue, squeezing her hand, giving her his trademark smirk. "'Ll be back, chère."

"Don't do anythin' stupid." Rogue teases.

"Hm, can't promise but 'll try." Remy teases back.

He leaves the room with Logan, getting on a new suit that was given to him as he felt his acolyte suit did not fit his new life, but he kept it in his closet as a back up suit. His new suit had a blue collar with a reddish-magenta shirt and black pants with the same reddish-magenta cut out squares on the sides. He still wore his silver boots and his cowl, his signature trench coat going over his suit. Remy made sure he had enough cards as he does not know what is going to happen.

He gets on the Blackbird, Scott, Beast, Jean, Logan and Xavier getting settled in. Logan sniffs and sighs, opening a cabinet after they already had taken off to find Bobby snacking on chips. "Oh… hey." Bobby says sheepishly.

"What are you doing, bub?" Logan asks.

"Uhhh…." Bobby trails off.

"Can't turn back now." Scott sighs.

"De more de better." Remy shrugs.

"Bobby's not even a full X-man yet." Scott gives a look to Remy.

"Hey! I can fight like you guys!" Bobby huffs as he sits down.

"You're still in training." Scott points out.

"Maybe dis trip will be good fo' 'im." Remy shrugs as he shuffles his cards.

Scott gives him another look, Remy glancing up and giving a smirk. Logan just groans. "Quit fighting or I'll make you two do a danger room session."

"I could take One-eye on in a danger room session any day." Remy grins.

"Oh yeah? How bout one tomorrow morning? I'll kick your ass, Gambit." Scott bickers.

Remy chuckles. "I like t' see y' try. Y' fo'get, 'm a master t'ief trained in a guild and one o' Magneto's best. Y' don' stand a chance. Y' head would jus' get in de way."

"Enough." Logan groans. "You two are giving me a headache."

Charles and Hank exchange looks but have small smirks on their faces, Jean just sighs and rubs her temple. The Blackbird lands in front of the museum, Angel already waiting on the steps as he asked Xavier to come. Bobby looks at everyone as they all walk towards the museum, his body encasing itself into an ice form. "Oh yeah, the cool guys." Bobby comments, mostly to himself.

"Spread out, we don't know what we are dealing with here." The Professor says.

"Well, well, well, look who it is!" Pyro cackles as he ignites his flamethrower. "It's the X-men! Would ya like ta play?"

He spews fire towards the group, the flame taking the form of a ghastly ghoul as it headed right for Angel. Pyro cackles maniacally, then glances over and sees Remy throw a charged card at him. "What a minute… Gambit? OOF!"

He gets flung backwards into a bookshelf, the ghoul disappearing for the moment. Piotr and Beast fight while Bobby helps. Remy throws another card at Sabertooth as he was about to tackle Scott. Scott looks over. "I'll only thank you this once." He says.

Remy shrugs. "Y' welcome."

Logan tackles Sabertooth to the ground, the Acolytes were outnumbered, but Magneto enters and uses his powers to tie up Angel to clip him, while he pins Logan to the wall. Scott hits him right in the chest though, causing him to loose his focus. "Magnus, why are you here?" The Professor asks.

Magneto glances at the X-men, noticing Remy standing along with them. His gaze narrows. "Trying to stop Mesmero, Charles. He plans on using a relic to unleash the most powerful mutant on this planet."

"The most powerful mutant..?" Beast ponders.

"He must be stopped. That is why I plan on destroying the relic." Magneto starts to levitate away, going down a hallway that lead to an Egyptian Mythology exhibit.

"We must stop Mesmero." Charles says, him and Beast going after Magneto while the others had a stare down, ready to fight again.

"Well, I'm still fired up!" Pyro starts to create figures again with his flames.

"An' 'ave y' burn de place down, not a chance." Remy throws a card at one of his flamethrowers, Pyro crying out in protest.

"What the heck mate!" Pyro makes a face. "You one of them now?"

"'Ave been fo' a while." Remy shrugs.

"You've gone soft." Sabertooth growls, inching closer to Remy but Logan growls back and aims his claws at Victor in front of Remy.

"Yeah? So what, bub. People change. Now we can either do this the easy way, or the hard way. You're outnumbered."

A loud rumble was heard, alerting the whole group, a green spider bursting through the side of the building. Everyone heads outside as the spider starts crawling in one direction. Jean uses her powers to lift the spider off the ground but it fought against her and eventually she collapsed due to its power. Magneto ordered his Acolytes to go after and stop the spider, sending a silent glare to Remy as he levitates by. Charles and Hank come out a minute later after Hank deciphered what the spider actually did. "We have to stop Magneto from destroying that spider." Charles says.

"Why?" Scott asks.

"It is a Guardian made to prevent the strongest mutant from awakening," Hank explains. "If it's destroyed then Mesmero's plan would work. He wants Magneto to destroy it."

"Don't worry Professor, we got it." Scott says, then the X-men and Angel take off.

Both teams did everything they could to stop the spider but it kept moving, eventually Magneto using his powers to seal it back up. Xavier's eyes widen as he watched his frenemy struggle to seal away the spider. "Erik! No! Don't do this!" Charles exclaims.

"I… must!!" Magneto grits out as he finally encapsulates the spider in it's artifact form, breathing heavily.

"You just sealed away a guardian that would have protected the tomb. Without it, Mesmero will now be able to open the tomb with the keys. He was using you, Magnus." Xavier wheels up to Magneto, a hard facial expression on his face.

"No…." Magneto breathes out. "It can't be…"

After the Professor and Magneto talked, the X-men return back to the mansion, uneasiness hanging in the air as they don't know what Mesmero plans to do next. Remy goes down to see Rogue who was turning away Kurt and covering herself with her blanket, a small smile appearing on his lips as he watched his girlfriend. "Tell Kitty ah don't want any of her food, Kurt. It's bad enough ma head hurts, ah don't need ma stomach hurtin'." Rogue protests to her brother.

Kurt goes to open his mouth, but Remy walks in, leaning on the doorframe. "Y' heard mon chère. Don' need 'er remainin' in dis bed now do we?" He smirks a bit as he looked at the two, Rogue smiling up at him.

"Oh, alvright." Kurt sighs then teleports away.

Rogue looks up at her boyfriend, noticing his new suit. "Wow, ya look nice in yer new suit." She smiles as he walks towards her.

"'S fittin', non?" Remy smiles back.

"Yeah. Just shows that yoah officially an X-man." Rogue leans on her elbow as she looked up at him, her eyes checking out his new suit. "Did anythin' happen when ya'll were out there?"

"Magneto stopped dis guardian artifact dat was not supposed t' be stopped. Mesmero was dere t', he wanted Magneto t' destroy it." Remy explains, his brows furrowing. "Don' know what Mesmero's plan is on findin' dese ot'er keys but de Professo' wants us all t' keep an eye out and said somet'in' 'bout usin' dese mental block shields t' keep 'im outta y' head?"

"Yeah, the Professor had us all learn how ta keep other telepaths outta our heads aftah the first Mesmero incident. He's really strong though but ah guess the Professor wants everyone ta maybe buddy up." Rogue nods as she explains.

Remy gives her a grin. "Guess 'll be y' buddy, den."

"Maybe." Rogue teases. "Ah haven't decided."

Remy feigns being upset, which makes her laugh lightly. The two spend the rest of the evening together, Remy changing into sweatpants and a tee as he sits with Rogue in her medical bed while they play a game of cards. Rogue wins against him after the four times he has won during their time, but she gives him a look that asked if he had let her win this round to which Remy says she truly won. She yawns a she starts to feel tired, settling back against her pillow and her blanket pulled up, Remy setting the cards aside and laying down next to her. His gaze was on her face as he watched her start to relax. "How y' powers been since we last practiced?" He asks, his voice soft.

"Ah think ah have made progress again… but ah can't be soah." Rogue says softly, her eyes gazing up into his. "Ah just hope ah didn't lose too much progress as it was nice ta be able to feel someone."

"Y' can always practice on me, chére," Remy gives her a half grin. "Y'know I can take it. 'Sides, I like seein' y' happy and would also love t' take y' out on a date again, when y' all better dat is."

Rogue grins back. "Ah'd love ta."

Remy presses a light kiss to her lips, quickly. "Je t'aime, mon chère." His voice whispered to her as his hand was on her waist.

"Ah love ya too." Rogue whispers back, smiling, nuzzling herself into him as she relaxes against her pillow.

Remy had been bringing Rogue her homework from Kitty who gathered it at school while she was still recovering. He was glad she would be getting out the next day, which is a Saturday as today is a Friday. He rides his motorcycle back to the mansion, Rogue's backpack attached on the side of his motorcycle as he rode. Remy rounds a bend, the mansion in view up the road, when suddenly, Sabertooth bolts out of the foliage on the left side of the road, knocking Remy off his motorcycle. He grits his teeth as he could feel a burning sensation on his side from scrapping the pavement, his motorcycle laying on its side in the road. Sabertooth grins as he lets out a low chuckle. "Now that you're no longer an Acolyte, I can beat the shit out of you with no consequences."

Remy glares at the feral man, his hand reaching into his jacket pocket for a deck of cards. "'Ll gladly take y' on, Victor. I ain' goin' down so easily." He then tosses some cards at Sabertooth, but he dodges.

Remy jumps out of Sabertooth's path, the large, beastly man pouncing in the spot Remy stood in. He throws more charged cards, hitting him in the shoulder and chest to which Sabertooth lets out a roar. He extends his hands out, slashing at Remy, his sharp nails actually cutting across his chest and one across his cheek. Remy grunts as he skids back, glaring at the older Acolyte. Victor grins. "You want to play hero? Magneto still got dirt on you, thief. There'll be hell to pay."

"I don' care. 'M not goin' back." Remy growls.

"Then die!" Sabertooth lunged forward again, claws extend out.

Remy rolls out of the way, throwing more cards, but Sabertooth was able to reach and scratch his back back, causing Remy to yell out and tumble. Victor laughs maniacally, stalking towards the injured Cajun. Remy struggles to get up, crawling forward to try to get away, but he lets out a grunt of pain as Victor places his boot on his back. Sabertooth grabs him by his hair, grinning. "Perhaps I'll pay your little girlfriend a visit once i am done with you."

Remy growls, glaring with one eye shut. "Y' touch 'er an' 'll kill y'."

Sabertooth drops his head, getting ready to slash him again. "You'll be dead before you can stop me."

Before he could slash him, he hears metal claws, looking up only to be slammed into by Wolverine. "You okay, gumbo?" Logan growls.

Remy struggles to get up, a cold stare glaring at Sabertooth. "'Ll be fine."

Logan nods, then snarls at Sabertooth. "You got some nerve getting this close to my territory. Didn't think I wouldn't smell ya Sabertooth?"

"No. Thought I could get done what I needed to quickly before you came out." Victor growls.

Logan sniffs to his side, smelling the blood that was coming from Remy. It soaked his back and part of his chest, Remy breathing heavily but still standing ready to fight again. "Get to the mansion, I'll take care of Sabertooth." Logan commands Remy, side eyeing him.

"Lemme help y'." Remy grunts out.

"You're injured, not going to let you fall unconscious or further injure yourself. Now go."

Remy glares at Sabertooth, holding his arm over his chest and making his way to his bike and standing it up. Logan pounces on Sabertooth to get him to focus on fighting him instead of going after Remy. He hears Remy's motorcycle start up and drive off, then he gets back to focusing on fighting the intruder.

Remy drives up the long driveway, wincing in pain as the wind stung his injuries. He stops his motorcycle, struggling, but luckily Storm noticed him and made her way out. "Remy? Are you okay? What happened?"

"Jus' got ambushed by Sabertooth," Remy winces, Storm helping him inside. "Luckily, Wolverine came jus' in time."

"I'm taking you to Hank, those wounds look really bad." Storm walks him to the elevator that would take them to the medical wing, passing some students along the way.

The two exit the elevator, Storm calling out to Hank who snaps his head up from his clipboard. "Oh my stars and garters. What happened?" Hank asks as he walks over.

Rogue hears Hank and Storm's voice, sitting up in her bed, curiously. Then her heart stops for a moment when she hears her boyfriends voice. "'M fine. 'S not so bad."

Rogue quietly gets up from her bed, her feet lightly padding towards the trio. She gasps very softly at the sigh of a bloody Remy. Remy sensed she was there and turned and gave her a small, sheepish smile. "Uh… heh. Got y' homework."

Remy had her backpack in one hand hanging at his side, but Rogue's eyes were on him. "What happened?!" She asks, worry filling her.

"He was ambushed by Sabertooth, but Logan got to them in time," Hank explains. "Now, Remy, I need you to sit down so I can get a closer look at your wounds."

Remy reluctantly sat down, Rogue sitting next to him anxiously. Storm excuses herself, leaving to go find Logan and see if he needed help. Hank had to put some stitches in Remy's back after cleaning all his wounds, his chest just needing to be bandaged and the scratch on his cheek patched with gauze tapped on top to keep it there. "Well, you'll be staying down here for a couple nights, just to make sure your wounds are okay and don't get infected." Hank sighs.

"Fine by me." Remy shrugs as he glances to Rogue who was holding his hand on the bed.

Hank walks out to go to the Professor's office to discuss with him and Logan about Remy's incident with Sabertooth. Remy turns to Rogue, opening his mouth to speak but she pulls him to her in a tight embrace. "Don't scare meh lahke that evah again." Rogue jabs her finger into his chest lightly as she pulls back a bit.

Remy gives her a small smile, putting his arms around her. "Don' worry, I won'. Jus' glad Wolverine got dere in time."

Rogue lets out a soft sigh as she lays her head on his shoulder. "How're ya feelin' now that ya wounds are patched?" Her voice was soft as her eyes glanced up to his face.

"Bit sore, but nothin' 'm not used t'." Remy answers as he rubs her arm.

The two sit together, embracing as they sit on the medical bed, Rogue eventually falling asleep against Remy's shoulder as he rubbed circles on her back. Noticing this, Remy chuckles softly, placing a soft kiss in her hair and laying down-while wincing with her in his arms. His free hand fumbles with the bandages on his chest, eyes staring down at the wrapped gauze. His back mostly stung, making him switch on his side stealthily so he did not disturb Rogue's sleep. Remy slowly moves his hand to her hair, moving a stray lock of white hair away from her face and behind her ear.
