Chapter 160

Rodney was inspired by Bigweld to become an inventor just like him but after getting into an argument with his father's boss he realized he wasn't going to be somebody back home so he had to go to Robot City

Rodney had a suitcase and was at the train station preparing to leave

Roundtrip or one-way? the train station worker said

One-way. Rodney said

Rodney was about to leave until his parents showed up

Rodney. Lydia said

Son. Herb said

Mom? Dad? What are you guys doing here? Rodney said

There you are. I told you I'd find him. It's a mother's instinct. Lydia said

Instinct? He left us a note: "I'm leaving. I'll be at the train station." Herb said

Seriously what are you guys doing here? Rodney said

Never mind. Pick up that suitcase. You're coming home right now. Lydia said

No, Mom. I have to do this. I'm going to Robot City tonight. Rodney said

Why? Lydia said

I'm gonna get a job and I'm gonna help Dad pay back Mr. Gunk. Rodney said

You can't be serious. Lydia said

I am. I really am. Rodney said

Wow Rodney that's... Herb said

Talk to him. Lydia said

Uh...Ro... Herb said

Robot City? You're just a kid. Lydia said

I'm never gonna be someone here. Rodney said

What do you mean someone? Lydia said

I wanna be an inventor. I wanna meet Bigweld. I wanna be somebody. Rodney said

And what would that be? Rodney said

Somebody who's not getting on that train. Lydia said

Herb looked at his family before approaching the train station worker

One ticket for Robot City. Herb said

Where are you going? Lydia said

Dad? Rodney said

Lydia we have to let Rodney go. Herb said

But he...but why? Lydia said

Yeah dad? Rodney said

Could i talk to you for a moment? Herb said

Sure. Rodney said

Herb what are you...? Lydia said

Lydia i need to talk with Rodney alone. Herb said

Lydia looked at his son before looking at her husband

(Signs) Alright fine. Lydia said

Thank you. Let's talk Rodney. Herb said

Okay. Rodney said

Rodney and his father walked for a bit before stopping

Rodney, did you know that when I was your age, I wanted to be a musician? Herb said

A musician? Rodney said

Yeah. I played pretty well too. But... Herb said

But what? Rodney said

My dad was worried i wouldn't be able to make a living. Herb said

So...? Rodney said

So I got refitted to be a dishwasher. Now, I'm not complaining but.. Herb sad

What? Rodney said

But I've always said to myself...if I could do it over again, i would follow my dream. You've got greatness in you, Rodney. Herb said

I do? Rodney said

Yes. Never doubt it. Herb said

So what should i do? Rodney said

You go to robot city You go meet Bigweld, and you show him your big ideas. Herb said

I will. Rodney said

Good. And Rodney... Herb said

Yeah? Rodney said

Never, never give up. Herb said

I won't. Rodney said

Suddenly the train to robot city arrived Rodney looked at his mother who had a sad look on her face while holding the suitcase

Mom...i have to do this. Rodney said

I know. Here. Lydia said

Lydia gave Rodney back his suitcase

Thank you. Rodney said

Lydia was still feeling sad but Rodney tried to cheer her up

Mom? Rodney said

Yes? Lydia said

Could i get a hug? Rodney said

Of course. Lydia said

Rodney and his mother hugged each other while the train conductor was crying

All aboard. the train conductor said

Rodney tried to back off from the hug but was stuck

Mom? Rodney said

Yes? Lydia said

Could you let go of me now? Rodney said

Not yet. Lydia said

What? Rodney said

I just want to hold you for a little more. Lydia said

But i have to go. Rodney said

I know. But not yet. Lydia said

Uh...dad? Rodney said

What is it son? Herb said

Could i get a little help? Rodney said

Sure. Herb said

Herb then tried to pull his wife off Rodney so he can leave

Lydia come on let Rodney go. Herb said

But i... Lydia said

Lydia? Herb said

(Signs) Okay. Lydia said

Lydia let go of Rodney who took his suitcase and got on the train which started to move and flew off

I won't let you down, Dad. I'll make you proud. Rodney said

I know you will. Herb said

Be careful out there honey. And good luck. Lydia said

A few minutes later

After a very long trip Rodney had finally arrived at Robot City

(Is this Robot City?) Rodney said in his mind

Rodney looked around and saw everything even a sign which said: Welcome to Robot City with Bigweld on it

Wow. Rodney said

Rodney then looked around at some of the people here

(Okay i better start asking around.) Rodney said in his mind

Meanwhile

The warriors had also arrived in Robot City

Where are we? Sophitia said

I don't know but there are lots of robots here. Punk said

Hulk see so many robots. Hulk said

Robots? Sophitia said

Yeah. Robots. Punk said

What's a robot? Sophitia said

You've never seen a robot before? Punk said

No. Sophitia said

Wow. Punk said

But i would like to know what it is. Sophitia said

They're like these cool awesome machines. Punk said

Machines? Sophitia said

Yeah. Punk said

Some of them are either good or bad. Batman said

But they can be pretty cool. Punk said

Amazing. Sophitia said

Hulk need to know where we go to. Hulk said

I don't know. Punk said

Perhaps someone could help us. Batman said

We'll have to check around. Batman said

Back to Rodney

Rodney looked around and saw everything even a sign which said: Welcome to Robot City with Bigweld on it

Wow. Rodney said

Rodney then looked around at some of the people here

(Okay i better start asking around.) Rodney said in his mind

Excuse me... Rodney said

Nope. a robot said

I was wondering if you... Rodney said

Sorry. another robot said

Could you direct me to Bigweld Indust...? Rodney said

Before Rodney could finish a bright light flashed in his eyes as a red robot was holding a camera along with a short blue robot

What the? Rodney said

Perfect. That will be 50 bucks. the red robot said

50 bucks? For what? Rodney said

A beautiful picture of your first moment in Robot City. the red robot said

What? Rodney said

The red robot took another picture with Rodney

There. I captured your second moment. That's another 50 dollars. Are you keeping track? the red robot said

The short blue robot turned his mouth into a dollar sign

Huh? Rodney said

Come on, work with me, work with me. More pout, less pose. the red robot said

Hey. Rodney said

Great. Inside of you is a fashion model waiting to throw up. the red robot said

Could you... Rodney said

Give me those eyes. Big eyes, big eyes. Give me big anime eyes. the red robot said

Look i don't... Rodney said

Yeah! Loving it, loving it, loving it! the red robot said

The red robot kept taking so many pictures of Rodney until he had enough

I don't want any pictures. Rodney said

You don't? the red robot said

No. Rodney said

That's all right. There's no film. Would you like a map to the stars' homes? the red robot said

The red robot and the short blue noticed that Rodney was gone

Where did he go? the red robot said

The short blue robot shrugged

Rodney has gotten away from the red robot and his friend however they will meet each other again but for now Rodney was continuing to explore robot city stay tuned
