In the holy land of Meridian, the capital of the World Government, Fleet Admiral Sander had just been informed of the return of Kuma.

"Kuma Bartholomew has returned, Sir!"

Within moments, Sander was in the same room with Kum and Wrinkly, and he wasn't best pleased.

"This is a joke!" he roared furiously. "How is it that even with your power, you couldn't stop the Dragon Riders from escaping? I am the one who has to explain this to the top brass, are your story had better be damn good."

Wrinkly laughed. "That's my grandson for ya."

"I don't want to hear it, Wrinkly," Sander glared and looked back at Kuma. "You order to exterminate every pirate on Breakneck Bog, but you even failed to bring back Hiccup Haddock's head! This is a disgrace!"

"Don't worry about it, Sander," said Wrinkly. "I mean, sure, Hiccup roared down Moria, but he's not the type to go blabbing about such things. Even if he did, who would believe him?"

Sander scoffed and looked back at Kuma. "I hope you didn't take pity on those pirates just because they were injured, Kuma. Compassion is wasted on them; it won't make them change their course one bit. And speaking of course, if they keep following their Log Pose, they will be on the doorstep of Navy Headquarters in no time."

The Dragon Riders were still making their way to Fishman Island and attempting to catch some fish in the meantime.

"How is it we have in catching any fish?" Hiccup asked.

"Bad luck," Snotlout suggested.

"They just don't seem to be biting," said Ruffnut.

"But why?" Tuffnut asked.

"It is kinda strange, huh?" said Chopper.

"More like annoying," said Snotlout.

"Fishlegs, are we there yet?" Tuffnut asked.

"Yeah, we want to be on Fishman Island right now," Ruffnut agreed.

"We are getting closer; you just have to be patient," said Fishlegs.

"Them being patient, that some wishful thinking," said Astrid.

"Hey, I see something!" Hiccup yelled as he looked through his spyglass. "Look, we're coming to a big school of fish. Looks like we finally hit the jackpot."

"Looks like good things come to those who wait," said Skull.

"They seem to be heading straight for us at quite a leg," Hiccup observed.

Fishlegs made his way over to them.

"You want to try, Fishlegs?" Chopper asked, holding out his next.

Fishlegs, however, looked over the side, looking deeply concerned.

"What's wrong?" Chopper asked.

"I'm not sure, but something feels off here," said Fishlegs.

They then watched as the school of fish swam right by them without stopping.

"Uh, the fish swam by?" Ruffnut asked.

"Do they look scared to you?" Tuffnut asked.

"Maybe they're running away from that," said Toothless pointing ahead of them.

They looked up and saw that the cloudless skies had now been replaced by massive storm clouds.

"You're kidding me," Fishlegs moaned.

"What is it, Fishface?" Snotlout asked.

Then suddenly, the waste became rather rough and whirlpools all around them.

"It's a sea snake current!" Fishlegs panicked.

"Okay, but what is that?" Chopper asked.

"Brace yourselves!" Fishlegs yelled.

Suddenly massive twisters began to shoot out of the whirlpools; some of them even coiled around one another like snakes.

"The waves… it looks like they're alive," Astrid gasped.

"I get why they're called sea snakes," said Eret.

"This is quite the site," said Skull.

"I'm taking a wild guess that this is a very rare phenomenon and a very dangerous one," Hiccup assumed, looking at Fishlegs.

Fishlegs nodded. "Snotlout, we need you on the helm!"

"On it!" Snotlout yelled, ran as quickly as he could towards the wheel, and grabbed it.

One of the twisters then began heading straight down towards them. Upon seeing it, Snotlout attempted to turn the wheel, but it wouldn't budge.

"It won't budge!" he panicked.

Chopper screamed, and Toothless quickly jumped at the twister and then sliced into pieces with his blades. A second one then came straight towards them, and Eret quickly activated his bazooka.

"Weapons Left!" he yelled and quickly fired at it, blowing into pieces.

A third one then headed straight towards them from the rear, but Astrid quickly jumped at the end to her battleaxe.

"Valkyrie Storm!" she yelled, swinging her battleaxe, creating a powerful tornado that blew the twister away, and then quickly glared at Snotlout. "Snotlout, what are you doing? Turn the ship already!"

"What you think I'm trying to do!" Snotlout snapped, still unable to move the wheel. "The blast wheel won't budge!"

Another twister headed straight at them from the front, but Hiccup quickly got onto the figurehead and transformed into his hybrid form.

"Plasma Blast!" he yelled, blasting the twister with the plasma blast.

Chopper and Fishlegs screen when they saw another one heading straight down from above. Skull quickly jumped into the air and drew his sword, swinging it at the twister. When he landed back on the deck and sheathed his blades, the twister was cut to ribbons.

"I trust no one is injured," said Skull.

"Whoa, that was cool," said Chopper.

Skull turned towards the twisters. "The term sea snakes certainly implies the current situation."

The twins immediately burst out laughing.

"Current situation," Ruffnut laughed.

"That's a good one," said Tuffnut.

"Now is not the time to be making jokes!" Fishlegs snapped.

Hiccup was now fending off three twisters from three different directions by spinning around, unleashing plasma blast.

"Plasma Storm!" he yelled.

Eret was on the crow's nest and activated his shields, using them to block two twisters that were heading straight towards the mainmast.

"Star Shield, baby!" Eret yelled.

Toothless and Skull then use their swords to cut through the twisters.

"Are we going to keep on cutting these things forever, or what?" Toothless asked.

Another twister was heading straight towards the deck, and Heather blocked it by summoning a number of arms. She then spun the arms around like a propeller to redirect the twister.

"Any idea when this will stop?" Tuffnut asked, looking at Fishlegs.

"I've got no idea," Fishlegs admitted.

"Then how are we going to get out of this mess?" Chopper asked.

"You think we can fly out here with a Coup De Bust?" Eret asked.

"I forgot about that," Snotlout beamed.

"That won't work," said Fishlegs, who was now looking for a pair of binoculars. "I cannot see an end to these currents. In other words, even if the Night Fury took takes to the skies, there's no escape for us."

"No! Why?" Chopper cried.

"In that case, so I play a song for everyone?" Skull asked as he pulled out his violin. Everyone immediately stared at him. "In times like these, we must remember that no matter how terrible the storm, it will eventually pass. So I'll play some music to see us through, and you can all sing along."

"Well, it can't do any harm," said Hiccup.

Skull was about to play his violin when the entire ship shook. They suddenly found themselves being lifted up into the air.

"What now?" Hiccup asked.

"Oh hell, no," said Eret as he looked down.

A twister had appeared below them and instantly launched them into the air.

"We're falling!" Eret yelled.

Chopper tried to hang on to the mast but lost his grip and was sent flying off the ship.

"Chopper!" Heather yelled.

She then created a rope of arms that grabbed Chopper and quickly pulled him back onto the deck before he hit the water.

"I-I thought I was done for," he groaned.

The Night Fury landed on the water again and kept sailing; everyone stayed alert in case they hit another twister. Fishlegs was still looking for his binoculars, trying to find an opening, when something caught his eye.

"Hey, look!" he said, beaming.

"No way!" Snotlout gasped.

"I see it," Hiccup smiled. "We're there."

Not only could they see the storm's exit, but they could also see a large stone wall right in front of them. They had finally reached the natural barrier that spans the world… the Red Line.

"It's the Red Line!" Hiccup announced.

"It is the Red Line!" Astrid gasped.

"So we finally made it," Fishlegs beamed.

"You guys remember, there was a terrible storm last time, too," said Ragnar.

Skull, in particular, found the place daunting; the last time he saw this massive wall was 50 years ago.

"Hello, Red Line, I've kept you waiting for 50 years, haven't I?" he said.

"We can do this, you guys," said Hiccup.

Then suddenly, shooting outright in front of them was the biggest twister they had seen all day.

"Here it comes," said Heather as if expecting it.

"Don't suppose we can paddle our way out?" Eret asked.

"Not even your that super," said Astrid.

"Snotlout, don't fight against. Just ride the wave!" Fishlegs yelled.

"What? Are you crazy?!" Eret yelled.

"Just do it!" Fishlegs snapped. "We're simply going to do the same thing we did to get to Skypiea! And we turned out just fine!"

"Oh yeah, that knock upstream," Ragnar smiled.

"We did once. We can do it again," said Hiccup.

"And we had a lot of fun doing it," said Ruffnut.

"How was that fun?" Chopper asked.

"We didn't die, right? So it was fun," said Tuffnut.

"If we can survive that, we can survive this too," said Snotlout.

The end of the twister then suddenly slammed right down in front of them, and they used that to ride on top of it.

"All right, the Coup De Bust should do the trick," said Eret taking over from Snotlout.

"Pull in the sails!" Astrid yelled.

Skull and Ragnar immediately unfurled the sails as quickly as they could.

"You ready?" Eret yelled, and moments later, they flew off the twister. "Coup De Bust!"

They then suddenly took off, heading straight towards the clear open skies ahead of them.

Moments later, they landed on the ocean without a sea snake storm.

"We made it," said Chopper relieved.

"Yeah, well, I wasn't scared," said Snotlout.

"We're here," said Hiccup as his eyes laid upon the Red Line in front of them. "We're finally here! We made it!"

Chopper was the only member of the crew not to bear witness to the Red Line, and he just stared at it in wonder and awe.

"I can't even see the top," he said. "It's huge! So this is the Red Line."

"It's strange; I feel sort of nostalgic," said Astrid.

"Yeah, I'm getting choked up," said Fishlegs with tears in his eyes.

"It hasn't been that long since we last saw this, but I feel like we've grown up," said Toothless.

"A lot has happened since we last saw it," said Ruffnut.

"Yeah, we came close to death a number of times," Tuffnut nodded.

"And seeing this big wall again means we're halfway there," said Hiccup. "The Twin Capes where we met Laboon are connected to the Red Line on the other side of the world. We've had some close calls, but I'm glad that we made it without losing anybody."

"When I was a baby, I came from the South Blue down Reverse Mountain, but that was well over 20 years ago," said Eret. "The Red Line means a lot more to me this time."

"I came from the West Blue to this ocean five years ago, but it seems like forever now," said Heather.

"If we keep this up and sail around the rest of the world, we'll come to this wall one more time, and when we do, and I'm going to be King of the Pirates," said Hiccup.

Now that they had reached the Red Line, the new problem figuring out how to get to Fishman Island, which was below the water.

"We have to be extra careful from here on out; we're right next to the holy city of Meridian, home of Navy Headquarters and the World Government," said Astrid.

Chopper, Snotlout and the twins were currently playing in the water. The Number Four Dock System turned out to be a swimming pool.

"How did we survive without a swimming pool before?" Chopper laughed as he paddled the life preserver around his waist.

Toothless, meanwhile, was in the crow's nest doing some exercises; he barely survived Kuma's attack, meaning he needed to get stronger.

"I'm still too weak," he said as he lifted a number of weights. "I want to be powerless again! I won't let myself be weak. I won't fail my crew."

Hiccup, Heather and Skull meanwhile had operated the final Dock System, which contained a mini-submarine in the form of a shark. Everyone else was on the deck, communing with them for a transponder snail.

"Okay, Hiccup, Heather, Skull, do you see anything?" Astrid asked.

"No use it's pitch black," said Heather.

"Even with a lighted at full beam, we can barely see anything," said Hiccup.

"Wait, I think I saw something just swam by," said Skull. "No, it's gone. We might have to go even deeper to find something."

"Shark Submerge Three has a max depth of 5000 meters," Eret informed them. "So be careful you don't get yourselves in trouble down there."

No sooner had he said that they heard the entire submarine creaking.

"I don't think this submarine is supposed to be making that noise," said Skull.

"Oh no, that's bad," said Heather as she noticed the gauge. "I'm afraid we've already surpassed 5000 meters."

"Ah, that would explain things them," said Skull. "Then I suggest that we resurface before the pressure crushes this submarine like a tin can."

"I'm afraid we got another problem," said Hiccup as he looked out the window. "I think our friend has come back to play."

They looked out the window when sure enough, they saw the sea creature he encountered earlier, some swimming beside them. The top part looked like it belonged to a rabbit with razor-sharp teeth, while the other half looked as if it belonged to a shark.

"My, what big teeth he has," said Heather.

The sea creature then attempted to bite down on them, but Heather quickly avoided the teeth and immediately took back up towards the surface.

"He's following us," Hiccup noticed.

"Here he comes again!" Skull announced calmly.

On the surface, Astrid and the others weren't entirely sure what was happening as everyone in the submarine was extremely calm.

"Are they in trouble or not?" Eret asked.

"Hard to tell," said Fishlegs.

Ragnar then showed up with freshly made tart. "Heys, I just finished making the tart. I made it from horror pears I found on Breakneck Bog. It may sound scary, but I can promise you it is delicious."

"Can't wait to try it," said Astrid.

"It's behind us," said Skull's voice.

"And he appears to be determined to eat us," Hiccup observed.

"This really is a mess, isn't it?" said Fishlegs.

"This tart sure isn't a mess," said Astrid as she bit down on the tart.

All the others then tried the tart. They nodded in agreement.

"So good!" they yelled.

Ragnar folded his arms and frowned. "I thought we knew where we were going, but it's like Skypiea all over again."

"No kidding," said Fishlegs as he looked at the log pose, which was still pointing down. "Even if we knew which direction to go, that doesn't tell us how to get there. Give me a break Fishman Island. Where are you?"

It was then that the submarine resurfaced.

"We're back!" said Hiccup as he opened the hatch.

"My, that was fun," said Skull.

"Nice job staying alive, you guys," Astrid smiled.

"All the good it did us, we couldn't see a thing down there," said Hiccup.

"We would have gone further down, but the water pressure would have crushed us," said Heather.

"I don't know what else to do," Fishlegs sighed. "The log pose is definitely pointing straight down."

"I should ask my father when he visited about what to do to get to Fishman Island," said Hiccup.

"Don't beat yourself up. I should have asked Lola the same thing," said Astrid.

Then suddenly, shooting out of the water was the same sea king that had been chasing their submarine.

"It's the monster!" Hiccup yelled.

"It followed us!" Skull yelled.

The sea king then roared loudly, and Hiccup instantly transformed into his hybrid form to face the beast.

"If you think you can beat me out of the water, you're in for a surprise," said Hiccup.

The sea king then pounced down straight at Hiccup, who then suddenly straight at the beast clenching his fist.

"Dragon Fist!" he yelled and punched the creature in the stomach as hard as he could.

"You know what, it doesn't seem all that big," said Tuffnut.

"Yeah, it feels rather tiny to me," Ruffnut agreed.

"We did just right, Oars; now everything is going to seem small," said Chopper.

Hiccup punch the creature so hard that something shot out of its mouth.

"Hey, something flew out of its mouth!" Ragnar yelled.

Sea King slammed back down into the water, but whatever shot out of its mouth was heading straight towards them.

"Is that the fish?" Hiccup frowned.

They then heard the cries of a young girl coming from the fish.

"A girl?" Fishlegs blinked.

"Wait, is that…" said Skull.

"I think so," said Heather, equally surprised.

Snotlout eyes immediately lit up. "It's a mermaid!"

He was so enthralled with the mermaid that he failed to notice her crash into him before it was too late. It wasn't just the mermaid that came out of the creature's mouth; there was a talking starfish wearing a hat.

"I made it," said the starfish.

The mermaid was certainly beautiful, and her hair was green as seaweed.

"You saved us," she said. "Whoa, that was a lot of fun!"

"Oh yeah, that was a blast," the starfish said sarcastically. "In fact, I had so much fun that I wouldn't jump right back into his mouth. Now you want to tell me why you didn't run away from that thing when you saw it?"

"Well, that's the thing, I kinda didn't see it," she admitted.

"Of course not; it's not like it was freaking huge or anything," he grumbled and noticed Snotlout by her tail. "In case you haven't noticed, you got a little something by your tail there."

She then looked down and saw Snotlout for the first time. "Argh! I crushed the human! Oh, no! I'm sorry. Are you okay?"

"Better than okay," said Snotlout, still a little dazed.

Hiccup and the others just looked at the mermaid, speechless.

"That's a tail," said Astrid finally.

"With fins," Fishlegs added.

"Then that means… she's, uh…"

"Mermaid," said everyone in unison.
