Sam and Alina watched Roy leaving his house with his wife, knowing they were heading to the next service. The hunters now had to hurry up and find the spell book Roy was using to control the reaper. However, Sam had to catch his friend as she almost fell on top of him when she followed him through the window. She didn't even seem bothered by that sudden clumsiness of hers, while Sam was more than intrigued by it. She hadn't said a word after coming out of the bathroom last night, wearing dry clothes and looking as upset as Dean looked frustrated lying on the couch. They'd both went to sleep, and ever since then, Alina was avoiding any conversation not related to their job.
"Are you gonna tell me?" Sam finally lost his patience, staring at the silent girl already searching the place.
"Tell you what?" She knew what...
"You know what."
Alina stopped in front of the bookshelves with a long sigh, before eventually turning to her best friend. He wouldn't let it go, so did she really have another choice but to tell him the truth?
"I kissed Dean before coming to Nebraska. And last night, when you heard me screaming like a total idiot, I was confessing my stupid feelings, thinking he would actually...I don't know what I thought. To be honest, I don't even know what I expected him to do, because he obviously wasn't gonna feel the same way. But I'm fine. I mean...it's not like I am completely head over heels for him, I'll get over it."
Sam was completely stunned by her answer. Of course, he knew about her feelings for his brother, but she'd actually told him about it. After months of lying to herself. And the worst thing, was that Dean felt the same way about her, but for some reason had decided to let her think the opposite. Why? Because they'd brought him here to save his life, but ended up trading someone else's life for his? They had no idea this would happen! Sam wanted to go find his brother now and tell him how stupid he was to push away a girl like Alina. But she stopped the youngest brother before he could even say anything about it, pointing her finger towards the only book that didn't have dust on the shelf in front of it. "Encyclopedia of British History". They shared the same look, back to their serious selves, and Alina grabbed the book to flip through it. When she found nothing, Sam noticed the smaller book hidden behind the larger one on the shelf. A picture of a skeleton reaper and the same wooden cross they'd found during their researches, definitely confirmed their theory. But the newspaper articles about the people whose lives had been traded, made them feel uneasy about this case. An openly gay teacher, an abortion rights advocate...and there was a third one. David Wright, the same man they'd seen the day of their arrival, protesting in front of the tent. And since they'd also seen him alive just a few minutes ago, they realized how urgent the situation actually was.
The two hunters ran out of the house, calling Dean to share the new informations with him. He had to stop Roy from healing someone else.
Sam and Alina started searching for the next victim in the car park, but of course they couldn't find anything.
"Where is he?!" Sam anxiously looked everywhere around him when they stopped in the middle of the cars, after long minutes of running in circles.
"That guy's constantly yelling, you can't tell me he suddenly decided to shut his mouth!"
"Help!"
The hunters turned, surprised that their words had actually worked, but also too concerned about his scream not to follow his voice immediately.
"Help! Help me please!"
They found the poor man leaning against a car, terrified of something only he could see. Sam tried looking around wildly when they reached the man. "Where is he?!"
Wright grabbed his shoulder, and pointed at thin air in absolute fear. "Right there!"
Sam looked at the girl standing next to him. "You see him?!"
"No!" She was confused. She'd seen him back in the tent, why couldn't she see him now?! "I can't see him, Sam!"
Sam however, didn't want to stay here long enough to find out why this was happening. He grabbed Wright and pulled him away with him. "Fine, come on."
The hunters ran throughout the car park with him, trying to buy some time for Dean to stop Roy. And they didn't stop moving until Sam's phone finally rang. Alina, still standing next to Wright, watched him hold the phone to his ear before turning to them. "David, I think it's ok."
They all sighed in relief. It almost seemed too easy for the young woman, still wondering why she hadn't seen the reaper this time. Was it because she didn't have with Wright, the same connection she had with Dean. Her Empathy was easier to control with the brothers, but what if she needed to...push it, with other people.
"No!" The scared man grabbed the hunters' attention back when he started yelling again. It wasn't over.
"Dean it didn't work!" Sam informed his brother still on the phone. "The reaper's still coming!"
Alina watched the innocent man fall to his knees, and didn't even think before falling right next to him to take his hand and hold it tight.
"Alina no!"
Sam tried stopping his friend, but it was too late. She could already see the terrifying familiar figure standing above her when she heard her friend's voice. It was the same man, wearing the same black suit, with the same wrinkled face. Her whole body froze as the reaper pulled his hand away from his new victim, and turned to the girl in confusion. It wasn't the first time Alina was facing death, but for the first time, death was staring back at her.
"Sam!" Alina screamed from the top of her lungs, right before the freezing hand grabbed her cheek.
Sam watched his friend's face and eyes turning white, as if her life was being sucked out of her. "Dean! He's taking Alina!"
LATER
"So Roy really believes."
"I don't think he has any idea what his wife's doing."
The brothers were sitting in front of each other, on the side of their motel beds. Dean was trying to focus on the conversation with his brother, but also couldn't take his eyes off the sleeping girl lying on his bed. He felt guilty about her current state. Roy's wife was the one responsible for the reaper's binding, and if he'd found that out sooner Alina would be okay. She was trying to defend Sue Ann's next victim, and had almost died in the process.
"Well, we found this." Sam handed his brother the little book they'd found in Roy's house. "Hidden in their library. It's ancient. Written by a priest who went dark side. There's a binding spell in here for trapping a reaper."
"Must be a hell of a spell."
"Yeah. You gotta build a black alter with seriously dark stuff. Bones, human blood. To cross a line like that, a preachers wife. Black magic. Murder. Evil."
Dean quickly flipped through the book, agreeing with Sam on the subject until he once again took a glance at the third hunter behind him. He watched her beautiful, peaceful, sleeping face, relieved to see her chest slowly going up and down with each breath. She was alright. If he hadn't been able to stop that reaper...
What Sue Ann had done was wrong, but she was...
"Desperate." Dean corrected his brother, surprising the youngest with his seriousness. He usually wasn't the one trying to understand people's feelings. "Her husband was dying, she didn't have anything to save him. She was using the binding spell to keep the reaper away from Roy."
From the way he was staring at their friend worryingly, it became pretty obvious why he sounded so touched by Sue Ann's suffering. Sam smiled at the sight, even though he couldn't completely understand his brother's actions.
"Alina told me about last night. What happened?"
Dean didn't think he would have to talk about this with his brother right away. He was surprised Alina had told him about it, since she'd spent the entire day trying to avoid the subject. She seemed really hurt.
"I don't know, Sam. I don't know how to do that. How do you tell someone you've always known that...you suddenly feel so different about them?"
Sam frowned, even more confused by his brother's doubts. "The same way she did? I mean...she did the biggest part, Dean."
"Yeah..."
Dean didn't know what to say to defend himself anymore. And luckily, he didn't have to think about it any longer. The brothers were interrupted all of a sudden, when their friend sat up on the bed with a panicked look on her face. The moment she'd opened her eyes, she'd seen the face of the reaper standing above her, back in that car park.
"Hey it's okay, you're fine."
She was relieved to see the brothers in front of her after hearing Sam's reassuring voice. She was back in the motel room, so she assumed she'd fainted right after the reaper had left them. The memories she had of that terrifying man stealing all the energy out of her, brought shivers all over her body. "What happened?"
"You scared us." Sam replied right away. "The reaper attacked you."
"Yeah I know that, genius. That dude's hands are so cold, he should definitely wear gloves." Her attempt to lighten up the mood completely failed as the brothers kept looking at her with concerned eyes. Obviously they didn't want to laugh at her jokes, so she went back to the case even though she'd just woken up. She just didn't want to get too personal with Dean right now, and him sitting just a few inches away from her on the same bed wasn't helping. "So what did I miss?"
The young woman's feet were already touching the floor when the brothers tried to stop her.
"Maybe you should get more rest." Sam insisted.
"Yeah Sam's right, you almost died back there."
Alina knew she couldn't say the words she had on her mind in that exact moment. She knew she had to keep them to herself. But...
"Really?"
...it was so tempting.
"Well I don't get what you're so worried about. If I'd drawn the short straw, you simply would've had to resume the course of your life normally, right?"
The young woman gave him a simple satisfied smile, which didn't reflect at all, the pain these words caused her. Even if she didn't want to behave so childishly, she was so furious and hurt that she ignored Dean when he looked away, frustrated by this exchange. He couldn't say anything to that.
Sam watched them silently, knowing it wouldn't do any good if he decided to join the argument. Right now they just couldn't think straight. It would probably be easier for them to talk about this after the job was done. So he went back to the main subject.
"Okay...so we were just talking about the book you and I found in Roy's house. According to Dean, it doesn't belong to him. Roy really believes what he's doing is right."
"What?" That didn't make sense. The book was clearly proving the opposite.
"His wife's the one controlling the reaper." Sam added, expecting his friend to be at least a little surprised by the news. But she simply sighed and shrugged, walking towards the kitchen to get some water. "You already knew it was her?"
"No but I should've had suspicions. You never suspect a woman..." She grabbed a bottle of water, noticing and ignoring her trembling hand when she lifted it up. Obviously she was still tired from her encounter with the reaper, but she couldn't show that weakness. She thought about the newspaper articles they'd found in the small book. What that woman was doing, was absolutely disgusting. "So she's killing people who she thinks are immoral. How do we stop her?"
"We gotta break that binding spell." Sam answered, not knowing what that truly meant, until Dean showed him the picture of the familiar cross in the book.
"You know Sue Ann had a coptic cross like this. When she dropped it the reaper backed off."
Alina felt stupid for not thanking him about that. He'd saved her life. If he hadn't stopped Sue Ann, she would be really dead right now. Well that could wait anyway.
"So you think we gotta find the cross or destroy the alter?" Sam asked his brother.
"Maybe both. Whatever we do we better do it soon, he's healing Layla tonight."
LATER
The Impala parked near the tent, and for a moment, none of the hunters moved when they saw Layla's car was already here. Alina hadn't gotten to know her very well, but she felt terrible about this. Especially because she'd felt her mom's suffering and it was still haunting her.
"Dean..." Sam called his brother's name when he noticed how conflicted he looked.
"You know if Roy would've picked Layla instead of me she'd be here right now. And if she's not healed tonight she's gonna die in a couple of months."
Alina couldn't say anything. Sitting in the backseat of the car, she hated herself for being so hypocritical. She knew what Layla and her mom were going through, yet she was about to take their only chance away. The same 'chance' she'd got with Dean.
"What's happening to her is horrible." Sam kept trying to comfort his brother. "But what are you gonna do? Let somebody else die to save her? You said it yourself Dean, you can't play God."
Dean didn't speak for a moment, silently sitting in his seat before getting out of the car angrily. The other two followed him to look inside the tent where Roy was standing in front of a small group of people, including Layla and her mom. But Sue Ann was missing.
The hunters went to the house, where Dean surprised Alina and Sam when he suddenly pushed them away. "Go find Sue Ann, I'll catch up."
They tried to protest, but the eldest Winchester was already yelling at the two cops coming down the stairs. "Hey! You gonna put that fear of God in me?!"
Alina had no idea what he was talking about, but he got what he wanted when the two cops dropped their coffees and ran after him. Sam and Alina decided to split up to find Sue Ann. Alina went behind the house, searching for a few minutes for any signs of human presence. The house was in complete darkness. She kept walking, until she eventually felt something wrong. It wasn't a headache. It felt more like…a heartache. A tear started to roll down her cheek and she wiped it away, afraid of what that meant. That was her Empathy. And unfortunately, she quickly recognized this feeling because it was the same she had at the hospital. When she'd found out that Dean was dying…
Dean.
Alina turned around and ran as fast as she could towards the car park. She wasn't sure she would find him there, but he was running in that direction with the cops following him. The young woman searched desperately between the cars, gasping for air, feeling a strong pressure on her entire body. Not again. She couldn't do that again.
She only stopped when she finally spotted Dean a little further away…standing in front of the reaper.
"Dean!" She was completely out of breath but she didn't care. She rushed in full speed towards the hunter, anxiously watching the reaper put his hand on his head, just like he'd done it with her earlier. "Stop!"
She didn't think twice once she reached them, violently pushing the reaper's arm away from her friend. Dean's face and eyes had already turned white, but he was breathing, he was alive. Alina wanted to throw herself to the ground and wrap her arms around him to make sure he was alright. To make him feel her presence. Instead, she turned back to the reaper with a determined look. The old scary man, watched her as if he was intrigued to see what she would do next. That human was interrupting him in the middle of his task for the second time today.
Alina's whole body was shaking, but it didn't stop her from grabbing the reaper's hand to put it on her head. "You wanna take someone? You take me, not him."
"Alina no…" Dean was grunting in pain behind her, trying to get back up even though both his legs were still weak. "Don't do that!"
She ignored him. She kept her eyes on the reaper, almost challenging him to do it. She was ready to die for Dean, no matter what was going on between them at the moment. That was an easy choice to make.
"Alina!" Dean finally stood up at the same time the reaper was walking away from the girl. At first she was scared that he might go back to Dean, but the confusion on his face made her realize how wrong she was. He'd been freed from the binding. Sam.
Dean pulled his friend away from the reaper with both his arm holding her tight. They kept staring at the man, waiting for him to do something. But he just vanished.
The hunters stopped holding their breath, gasping for air, both exhausted and relieved to be alive. Dean let go of Alina when she took a step away from him and grabbed his face in her hands to check his eyes. She was so glad to see them back to the beautiful green she knew so well, even if he was just staring at her awkwardly. He wouldn't say anything, he was still shocked by what that girl had done for him. She'd challenged a reaper, she was willing to sacrifice herself just so he could live a life he didn't even deserved. And even after doing that, she was still smiling at him in the comforting way. She even started to laugh once she'd made sure he was alright.
"That was insane." She said as if the realization of her actions had just hit her.
Dean kept frowning at her, upset of how careless she'd been. How could she laugh at that? "Yeah, Alina. It was. What were you thinking?!"
She rolled her eyes, knowing it was the moment for her to get yelled at. It didn't matter, at least he was still able to yell. "I don't know." She replied in her usual sarcastic tone. She'd faced death twice today, she didn't want to waste any more time with that stupid sulking attitude. "I just saw that creepy dude attacking you, and…yikes, you think I've got the Hero Syndrome or something like that?"
When he didn't reply, her smile slowly faded. He looked really upset. "Dean…"
"I don't get it, Alina. Why…I don't deserve that."
His words instantly reminded her of what Mary Winchester had told her back in their old house. She'd said Dean didn't think he deserved someone like her in his life, and Alina couldn't believe her at first because it was absurd. But was that the reason why he hadn't been able to answer back in the motel parking lot? It was Alina's turn to be upset. "What are you talking about, Dean? You've spent your whole life putting people's needs before yours, how could you not deserve everything?"
Dean couldn't understand how someone as amazing as her would want someone as messed up as him. She made him forget about all his worries. She made everything else seem…pointless.
A faint smile appeared on his lips when he slowly caressed her cheek with his thumb, unable to stop his heart from beating faster when she closed her eyes and leaned her face deeper into his hand. The contact was so warm, so soft. It just felt natural.
"Guys?"
They both turned to Sam, who'd been staring at them from afar for a few seconds now.
"I hate to interrupt, but we need to leave. Now." He wished he didn't have to stop them because he'd also been waiting for this, but the group of believers were about to come out of the tent and find Sue Ann's body. They couldn't stay here any longer. The reaper was free, the job was done. "Come on!"
Dean and Alina shared one last frustrated look before following him back to the Impala.
"You okay?" Sam asked before getting in the car, worried to see his brother wincing in pain while Alina was helping him walk.
He was still pretty tired, but he was slowly getting his energy back. So he shook his head, more angry at his brother for ruining the moment, than worried about himself. "Hell of a week."
Alina opened the passenger door for him, letting out a small chuckle after hearing his answer. "Can't agree more…"
She was about to help him get in the car when Dean just refused to wait any longer, lifting her face towards him, to kiss her lips like he'd always wanted to. For the first time he didn't have to hide his true feelings. He didn't have to worry about getting rejected for it. And even if he still had some doubts, they all disappeared the moment he felt Alina's hands behind his neck, pulling him closer. She couldn't help but smile against his lips, as Dean slowly pressed her body against the car behind her, to trap her completely into his arms.
They had to end the kiss after just a few seconds of pleasure, because they knew Sam was waiting in the car, ready to leave this place as soon as possible. But while their lips had separated, their hands just refused to leave each other's bodies just yet. They stood there, breathless, and Dean almost lost it again when he saw Alina biting her lower lip to hide her grin. They both wanted to do it again.
Yet the screams suddenly coming from the tent forced them to pull away. It really was time to go. They quickly jumped in the car, getting an exasperated and proud look from Sam as he quickly started the engine and left in the middle night.
THE NEXT DAY
Just like Alina had lost consciousness after her encounter with the reaper, Dean had fell asleep the moment they arrived at the motel. He'd simply felt Alina's body joining him in the bed a few minutes after that, and was pretty sure he'd wrapped his arms around her like a kid with his teddy bear. But everything seemed fuzzy when he finally woke up in the morning, finding nothing else but an empty spot next to him. He sat on the bed, confused about the previous night. Maybe he'd dreamt everything. Maybe they'd never kissed, and Alina was still mad at him. Maybe…
"'Morning sunshine."
Dean instantly looked at the table where Alina was sitting in front of the laptop, with a cup of coffee in her hand. She was wearing his shirt again. The one that got soaked up by the rain. She'd let it dry all day yesterday, and was now wearing it like nothing had happened. But that morning was different. The smile she gave him was enough to confirm that the previous night's events weren't just a dream he had. Her hair were down, messily falling on her shoulders, her shorts were almost completely hidden by the large shirt, and the sound of her voice in the morning…everything about her looked ten times more attractive after the kiss they'd shared. How was that even possible?
The hunter didn't realize how silent he was being, watching her with a little smirk. His face made the girl laugh and snap her fingers in his direction. "Earth to Winchester? Watcha looking at?"
"You."
He hadn't hesitated to reply with that single word, and Alina hoped she wasn't blushing like an idiot when she laughed again. "Okay weirdo…" And she took another sip of coffee to hide her smile. Dean got out of bed, walking straight to the coffee machine to pour himself a cup of the precious liquid before sitting next to Alina at the table. She seemed focused on the laptop's screen, quickly typing on the keyboard.
"What are you doing?" He asked in a yawn.
"Sending Lucie an Email."
Curious, he turned to the screen, only to find a text written in a language he couldn't read. Of course she was writing in French for her French friend. He lost his interest for it, checking his surroundings to find something to do while she was busy. And something was missing…
"Where's Sam?"
Alina kept her eyes on the screen. "Laundromat."
Sam and her had been so busy worrying about Dean, they hadn't washed their clothes or eaten properly in a few days.
"Really?" Dean thought for a moment. "I though it was your turn to go."
"Yup. But I guess he really wanted to do the laundry. I wonder why…"
Of course he'd left to give them some privacy, and that was really nice of him, although he could've gone with a more subtle way to leave them the room.
Dean looked back at the girl still typing like she was writing an entire book. He wanted to wait for her to finish with her Email, but his lack of patience got the best of him.
"Hey, so…about what happened last night…"
"What happened last night?"
Alina finally met his eyes with an interrogating look on her face that made the boy panic for a moment. Was it really a dream? Or had she just forgot? He couldn't have imagined all of this. The reaper, the kiss…
The young woman chuckled at his face after she'd closed the laptop to give him her full attention. "I'm kidding, Winchester."
Dean rolled his eyes with a grin he couldn't hide. Of course it was a joke. She just loved messing with him, but she also knew when to stop and get more serious. And this was a serious matter so she dropped her joking tone, ready to be completely honest with him. "Look, about what happened, and I just wanna make sure we're both talking about the…kissing and sharing feelings part…I don't regret doing any of that."
"Really?"
Once again, he looked and sounded like he couldn't believe her words and that was so heartbreaking for her. "Yes really! Dean, stop acting like I'm this perfect person who shouldn't even be talking to you. I'm far from perfect." She stood up in frustration. "I mean, I'm always so reckless and I get angry so easily. I'm fainting all the time, like, what the hell? I can be a real smart ass, just like Sam. And if you don't stop me right now, I'll still be talking like that when he comes back, because once I get started I can't stop..."
"Okay I get it!" Dean also stood up from his chair with an amused look on his face. He walked towards the hunter and put his hands on her shoulders. Her chaotic energy had made him more confident in this situation. He didn't need to be embarrassed with Alina. "I don't regret the kissing and sharing feelings part either. Especially the kissing part."
Alina was glad to see him back to his normal, irritating, confident self. She hated it when he doubted himself. She rolled her eyes in amusement and walked away from him to go put her mug in the sink. "Okay but you know, I don't want things to get awkward between us. So whatever…'that' is, we should probably…"
She almost jumped when she turned around and found him standing right in front of her with a childish smile on his face. She sighed and finished her sentence. "We should probably take it slow. We're already sleeping in the same bed, last night wasn't obviously the first time we'd ever kissed, and we're always flirting, joking, fighting with each other so…wait, now that I hear myself talking about it, I get why everyone thought we were together all this time."
The two hunters looked at each other, until they couldn't help but smile at how ignorant they'd been for the past months. They'd been attracted to each other all along, even when they didn't know about their own feelings yet. The night Alina was drunk and had kissed him outside that bar wasn't even the beginning, but it was the little spark they needed to slowly start realizing it.
Dean resumed after a short moment of silent. "So we're acting normally, right?"
"Yeah. We are."
"Alright, Frenchy. I'll start." And after saying these words, he simply leaned over her and sealed their lips in a soft and tender kiss, running his fingers through her hair like he'd always wanted to. He loved the way Alina's lips instantly kissed him back eagerly. He loved the way her hands instantly reached his shirt to get a grip of it, and keep him pressed against her body as she quickly made him spin, and pushed him against the sink. He loved that she was so confident and able to take control of the kiss even though he'd been the one starting it.
Damn it…
He just loved everything about her.
LATER
The hunters were finishing to pack their bags, ready to leave this new town. Dean sat at the end of his bed, thinking about the last days, about Layla. He looked at Alina as the young woman passed by him to go get her stuff in the bathroom. The joy he felt when she simply smiled at him for a second, made him feel even more guilty about what happened. How could he be this happy when a good person could've been saved from her tragic fate? Why couldn't she have the same opportunity to live as him?
Sam watched his brother, noticing how troubled he looked. He'd found him and Alina smiling innocently when he'd came back from the laundromat, and hadn't made any comment. He was genuinely happy for them, even if he didn't know at which exact point they were in their relationship. But right now…
"What is it?" He asked his brother who looked at him for a moment and shrugged.
"Nothing."
Sam waited for a few seconds, then asked the same question once again. "What is it?"
His gentler tone seemed to convince Dean to share his doubts. "We did the right thing here, didn't we?"
Alina came back at the same time, instantly sharing a knowing look with Sam. Yes, they both felt terrible for the people who'd died, but they also couldn't ignore their guilt towards the ones they'd condemned by stopping Sue Ann. So the way Dean felt was more than understandable.
"Of course we did." Sam tried to reassure him while Alina was sadly putting a hand on his shoulder.
Sam's comforting words and the warmth coming from Alina's hand, didn't even help him feel better about this. "It doesn't feel like it."
Alina wanted to say something, she wanted to cheer him up, but a knock at the door stopped them from going further into the discussion.
"I got it."
Dean had a confused expression when his brother quickly went to the door. He looked up at Alina, and she wasn't surprised by this either. So they were both expecting a visit right before leaving town?
"Hey Layla. Come on in."
Layla? Dean quickly stood up from the bed, confused to see the young woman standing in the doorway. "How did you know we were here?"
"Sam and Alina called. They said you...wanted to say goodbye?"
The hunter glanced at the other two, now standing next to each other near the entrance. They both looked away immediately, knowing they'd been busted.
"We're gonna…" Alina started.
"…grab a soda." Sam finished.
And they left. They just walked out of the room and closed the door behind them to let him talk with Layla.
Outside the room, Sam was stunned to see Alina so focused on the options of the vending machine. She was acting so normally, it almost felt weird. "So what happened when I was at the laundromat?"
Alina bent over to grab her soda. "I sent Lucie an Email."
"And?"
"I took a shower."
"What happened with Dean?" Sam insisted.
His friend smiled at him, satisfied to see him get so frustrated by her silence. He deserved it. "I think you already know what happened, since you decided to keep it to yourself for months."
Sam rolled his eyes in amusement. "It's not just me, Alina. Everyone knew and it was painful to watch."
"Why didn't you tell me how Dean felt about me?"
"Why didn't you tell me how you felt about Dean?"
Alina opened her mouth, ready to reply…but then realized he was actually right. Every time she wanted to tell him, she'd just decide it was too embarrassing and gave up. She should've trusted her best friend.
"Whatever…" The young woman sighed, annoyed by her smart ass best friend. "You don't need to know everything about me."
Sam was clearly happy to see her get so flustered. "Right. So I guess you don't need to know everything Dean told me about you."
He once again got full control of this exchange, and although Alina wanted to kick his ass for being so manipulative, she hated the fact that it was working on her. They'd talked about her before? When? Why? What could Dean have said? Yeah, she needed to know.
She tried to stay serious when Sam also grabbed his soda and started walking towards a bench a little further away. She really tried. But…she ran after him less than ten seconds later. "Come on Sammy, I'll answer all your questions! Tell me! You jerk!"
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
