In udder contrast to yesterday, he couldn't bring himself to get out of bed, laying facedown on his pillow. After his insane stunt yesterday, he has never felt more like crap, this felt worse than shark teeth in his gut. But he promised her he'd show up, so after pushing himself out of bed he casually walked down the hall. His stomach churning painfully.

He didn't know what to say, obviously apologize, but would she accept that? He knows he really messed up, he let his feelings get ahead of him and it ruined the night. One he made it to the end he looked out, seeing her stare out into the expansive ocean. He sighed, scratching his head. What to do? He takes a few deep breaths, calming himself down and preparing for anything she'd say, or do. After enough time spent relaxing he stepped out onto the deck.

Walking to the mast, he stepped firmly, making sure she knew he was there.

"Hey."

He spoke, standing a few feet behind her. She let out a breath of fresh air.

"Hey, you… took your time."

He groaned as he rubbed his arm.

"Yea, uh… I was just thinking."

She let out a small snort and turned partly to look at him with a gentle expression.

"You've been thinking a lot lately."

His eyes widened sorrowfully, before looking down.

"I… I'm sorry. I got ahead of myself."

He went still seeing her walk toward him. He looked up to see her hooded eyes look over his face, bringing a hand to his cheek he hummed into her palm.

"You didn't sleep at all?"

He furrowed his brows crossing his arms.

"I didn't- I was… a party pooper… yesterday and… I ruined everything."

"Luffy."

He felt shame looking at her, to think he'd go too far on her. He didn't stop thinking about her shivering and her nervousness all night. God it hurt his chest so much.

"It… wasn't you. I pulled away."

She whispered to him, moving her hands to his shoulders.

"I'm sorry. I got scared."

He wanted to argue against that, but hearing that, made the pain in his chest alleviate just slightly.

"I didn't know you felt that way about me, and you never told me you did so I… I overreacted."

He looked at her confused, but realized what she meant.

"I… couldn't find the word."

He said, sighing.

"Then you… mentioned it once and…

He blushes a deep shade of red as he thought what he wanted to say.

"Nami…"

He spoke, getting her full attention. He repeated the words constantly, a line thatd change them for better or worse. But after yesterdays events… he took a deep breath.

"Can I make up for what happened yesterday?"

She reeled back a bit.

"Y-Yes?"

He smiled, and walking toward the hallway, similar to their fist night he stretched his hand to his room, grabbing a blanket and pulling it from what he believed to be his bunk. He laid it on the ground and sat cross legged. She followed him and sat beside him. For what he did yesterday he scooted away, giving her space, but that seemed to irritate her as she grabbed his arm pulling him back closer.

"Just wanted to make sure you were comfortable."

"By scooting away? That's the opposite of making me comfortable."

He groaned, it's already going bad and it's still his fault. He yawned loudly, grunting as he stretched his arms up. She took this moment to pulling him down, making him lay on his back as his head rested on her lap. Her soft thighs were felt through his body, and the smelled of her body was was a blessing to him. He blinked confused till she looked down at him.

"I already told you it was my fault. Please don't blame yourself."

"I… I'm not."

"Sure you aren't."

She said sarcastically.

"I ran, I overreacted. Of course I… wanted that too…"

She murmured caressing his hair as he her other hand rubbed his chest. As if she had healing powers he felt all the bad feelings in his stomach fade with her touch.

"You seemed to know what your feeling.

So, until you ask me,-

Or tell me,-

Let's, stay like this."

She whispered leaning over his head to press a chaste kiss to his forehead, unintentionally pressing her chest into the side of face but he didn't care. His mind went blank as he processed that kiss. Her soft warm lips giving a gentle smooch to his forehead, yea they hadn't actually kissed her but that made him hopeful for how a real kiss would feel. He looked up at her like a begging puppy, something she found cute and pinched his cheek.

"It was in return for your kiss on my knuckle. Now we're even."

"Even?"

"Y-Yea. We've each given each other 1 kiss."

He made a noticeable hum, and thought if he kissed her again, she'd half to kiss him back. He honestly wondered if they could make a game out of it.

"Wait. You… said once I ask or tell you, we're staying like this?"

She blushed and bashfully nodded.

"Yes."

"So… does that-"

"Yes! Yea! It does! Just… don't say it out loud… it's a little… embarrassing."

"Why?"

"W-Well…"

She paused whining as she thought of what to say.

"I don't just… it doesn't usually… cause I'm me! I don't just… I have trust issues…"

He snickered at her struggle, before yawning again.

"I'm glad we can hang out like this. I thought I really messed up yesterday."

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to leave you like that. To be honest I was worried you wouldn't show."

"I didn't wanna leave you alone out here, no matter how much I messed up."

"Well, while we're out here. How bout you tell me about yourself? You kinda dodged the question before."

He slowly recalled her asking about his past, he said it wasn't a big deal earlier but, he didn't want this moment to end.

"I guess so. What did you wanna know?"

"Were you always like this?"

"Like what?"

"A goofball?"

He made a annoyed hum, getting a chuckle out of her.

"If you wanna call it that. Yea I've always liked meat and adventuring. Got it from my gramps I think."

She tapped her chin in thought.

"You mentioned him before, what's he like? Your grampa?"

"He hurts."

"Erm… what?"

"He would train me himself to… be a marine."

He sighed happily recalling his younger years.

"A marine?"

"Yea… he was a well known marine I think… but he'd beat me around and toss me into the wild to fight off strong animals."

"Good lord!"

"It wasn't all bad, he'd bring a ton of food afterword."

"No wonder you don't see it as a bad thing, he basically beat you up then fed you to forget about it."

She said, obviously explaining it in a silly way.

"Probably. But he was all I had for a while. But eventually he got too busy with work and… I didn't see him as often."

His tone getting somber as he explained. She brushed his hair with her fingers, comforting him as he remembered. He smiles up at her, reaching up to rub his eyes as he yawns again.

"Sorry."

"Your tired. Maybe you should go back to bed."

"Aww… but I don't wanna leave."

"Well I'm not sitting here till morning while you sleep on my lap. As cute as it sounds…"

He pouted as he sat up, stretching with a long grunt.

"Ok."

"Hey, we'll met up tomorrow night, right?"

He nodded.

"Then we'll continue this, and MAYBE I'll let you rest on my lap again."

He liked the sound of that eagerly jumping to his feet with a grin. She stood up and to his surprise hugged him from behind.

"It's so nice to talk to you again like this. I… didn't sleep all that well either."

He felt a smile spreading across his face.

"Yea."

"And hey, if you try any of that stuff again?"

He gulped, suddenly feeling a bit anxious.

"Just say the words, and I'll gladly let you continue~"

He felt a blush cross his cheeks and hummed in acknowledgement.

"Ok... uh... Goodnight."

He said speedily walking back to his room. His heart exploding in joy as he felt like everything went back to how it was, or, back to how he liked it. He didn't know when he'd say those words to her, but hopefully it wouldn't be in the too far future. Once he got to his bunk he utterly passed out.

She was left with his blanket, seeing as how he forgot it in his rush to bed. She thought about taking it back before keeping it for herself, at least for tonight. She put it over herself like a hood, blushing a bright red.

"I gotta get used to this, I don't wanna made him sad again…"

Hey so, I'm sorry about the last chapter. I probably went too far in their "relationship" to even consider they'd do that. I got caught up in the moment. So I apologize if it felt too soon for them to do that. Hopefully this fixes that, at least for now. I'll try to make them closer but without the physical affection besides glances or some casual touching. And sorry if this one felt rushed, I felt like I needed to fix my mistake of the previous chapter before everyone got accustomed to them being like that. But besides that, thank you to everyone supporting this, I don't typically finish multi chapter stories, so you guys reading this are perhaps the lucky few who might have a finished multi chapter story by me.
