'well it's now the night of Christmas Eve, just an hour before the watsons, stacys and harry come over for dinner but where am I? I'm in the middle of time square fighting off 5 of my terrible villains the kingpin created.'
Meanwhile harry and the two stacy women have already arrived at the beat up house in queens, harry was sitting on the couch while gwen was standing in the kitchen helping may make the cookies when suddenly gwen had enough and marched over to harry demanding an explanation. "Ok that's it! I've tried not to be pushy but I just can't take it. What is this secret you have with Peter and why is it so important that I not know about it?!" She downright demanded of the young osborn, where's harry is like a chicken with his head cut off. "I….. umm.. I can't tell you… I wish I could but I can't gwen I'm sorry." After that he just walked outside and sat on the front step.
After getting his ass kicked severely he decided he needed to retreat, I mean between getting fried by Electro, rammed by rhino, pounded by sandman,slashed and spat at by acid courtesy of scorpion and annoyed by mysterios illusions he was definitely outgunned at least for now especially since he ran out of web fluid. He changed into normal clothes and started to limp his way back home when a particular advertisement caught his eye fisktronics science scholarship for ESU. 'alright there's my way into college!'
Gwen had decided when Peter arrived she was gonna be pissed but as soon as she saw him limp into the house with a giant bruise on his head and a slip bleeding lip all her anger melted away and was replaced by worry. He practically collapsed in her arms while harry ran over to distract may so she wouldn't see, even gwen understood he didn't want his aunt to worry. She brought him upstairs to the bathroom to get cleaned up, his shirt was all bloody too so that had to go but when she saw all the scars on him she finally knew the truth even if she didn't want to accept it.
Meanwhile downstairs in the kitchen harry is going on and on to may about different seasonings to use on different kinds of potatoes for the best flavor, apparently harry was an expert on potatoes when gwen comes back down with Peter looking much better but as soon as their off the staircase she speed walks away from the young parker into the kitchen past harry leaving two very confused teenage boys watching her retreating form. "Whoa what's with that? You okay dude? You looked like you got run over by a sleigh of rhinos" harry questioned his injured best friend. 'she seemed to tense up when she saw some of my painful reminders maybe she put it together!? I can't exactly ask her but no no it'll be ok' "well har this kingpin guy put together a team of my enemies: the fearsome five. I got my ass kicked man." He told his rich friend.
When gwen saw pete and harry talking she figured it out 'so that's the secret you guys have and why you couldn't tell me, but then how come he told harry?' by now may could tell the young blondes mind was somewhere else. "What's wrong dear? You've been pouring sugar on that one cookie for 2 minutes so unless you really want liberty medical diabetes testing supplies something's bugging you honey." The ageing woman pointed out in no uncertain terms. 'what do I do? I can't exactly tell her I just found out her nephew wears a mask and fights crime! Oh wow is this what Peter has to deal with every day!? I've been way too hard on both halves of him, no wonder he told harry.' "nothing may just it's Christmas and my mom got called into work and my dad's…. You know, it's just hard" the girl covered for her super powered boyfriend, that she will try not to freak out about. But something about her answer concerned the caring woman who was like a second mom to her. "Your mother already went back to work? Oh dear is that a good idea so soon after brain surgery?" Aunt may definitely has a point there.
When gwen was distracted in the kitchen Peter went upstairs to work on some special web fluid, web fluid that could insolent against electricity AND resistant to scorpions acid. When he came downstairs after finishing up it was just in time for dinner but Harry stopped him in the living room by the TV. "Hold up dude look at this. That fearsome five has taken hostages at oscorp. My dad is there right now pete, you gotta go man." He told him but gwen noticed him leaving and couldn't bite her tongue any longer "what you're just leaving?! (She glances at the report) oh of course! Is this Spider-man nonsense really more important than all the people you care about?! More than me?" Peter goes up to her holding her close and kissing her but unlike the other times where she couldn't get enough this time she's just stiff as a board. "Gwen I'm sorry but I gotta I gotta go" the webhead choked out before rushing out the door to deal with this mess.
He got the hostages out pretty quick but norman was strangely absent. Spidey was doing everything he could flipping around, web punching electro, getting rhino to charge into thick walls, anything really and just when he thought he had an advantage he is suddenly pulverized by a large metal tentacle slamming back and forth in the floor. Now sporting a forest green and black body suit, long brown trenchcoat and big block circular goggles otto octavius arrived on the scene. "Huh? Doc? Doctor octavius? What are you doing this isn't you! You're better than this!" He pleaded desperately trying to save another teacher that lost his way but otto just started laughing. "You're right Spider-man I am better than this for I'm not here to join up with the fearsome five I'm here to take control of the sinister six and I'm not just Otto anymore! I'm an octopus, doctor octopus!" 'well so much for trying to save otto… doesn't sound like there's anything left of him but I still got to fight.' as he pulled the metal limb off of himself slingshotting a kick right in his face as soon as their new leader was knocked out and on his ass mysterio bolted.
As Spider-man was wrapping electro in his insulted webbing he couldn't zap through "just put a bow on you and your already for Christmas Electro" sandman smashed him through the wall in a lab that had a concentrated air pressure chamber and a now broken case of black slime. The red and blue vigilante taunted the small time crook with his terrible singing "mister sandman, bring me a dream bung bung bung bung make him the cutest that I've ever seen bung bung bung bung" that did it and sandman was now charging straight for the wall crawler and got locked in the pressure chamber. "Oh wooooooowwwwwww hero I'm locked in a room whatever will I do" the crook taunted but stopped as soon as Spidey turned it on flattening him into a pile of dust. Of course rhino charged in knocking him right into the strange black slime now sticking to him, when rhino charged again Spidey was airborne dodging but midway through his jump the goo had completely covered him forming around his suit turning it black and the formally black web lines white. With the sudden surge of energy this sludge suit gave him he grabbed rhinos horn and toppled him over knocking him out and sticking him in the floor in the process.
All that was left was scorpion, the acid proof webbing worked like a charm 'hello fisktronics scholarship project!' but just as he was going to take down scorpion chief yuri watanabe was there practically shoving her gun in his face "nobody move! Including you Spider-man, that is you right!?" But in the midst of her demanding questions scorpion took off and as Spidey started to go after him "I said hold it wall crawler! You're not going anywhere, you're under arrest!" "Scorpion is getting away!" "At least I finally got you Spider-man." But that set our hero off in ways that weren't exactly normal. "What is wrong with you?! I'm out here every day risking my life for this city just like you and you think I'm a bigger threat than the homicidal Merc with an acid spewing scorpion tail?! I don't know why I even bother! You're hopeless chief and I'm done trying to convince you. You want to arrest me, go ahead and try!" He yelled as he shoved her to the ground and swung away.
When he got back home he landed in front of his bedroom window upstairs just looking at this weird black suit 'what are you? Well whatever you are you make me stronger and feel better so you're ok in my book' he preceded to climb in still in uniform only to find gwen sitting there at his desk. "So were you ever gonna tell me Peter?" She asked with such coldness but Peter for some reason only reaction was anger "well you weren't exactly shy about how much you hated me gwen. Constantly blaming me for your father every 10 minutes yeah no thanks I thought I'd just keep this secret to myself!" "But you told harry!" Now they were basically just screaming at each other "harry found out when scorpion attacked his party! I never told anyone gwen! I never wanted anyone else involved in this especially you! (Now instead of yelling he was basically sobbing) if anything happened to you because of this gwendy I don't know what I'd do, it'd be like uncle ben all over again. All my fault." Gwen has now calmed down a bit too "look I'm not gonna pry anymore right now BUT I do want to know EVERYTHING eventually and you WILL tell me but for now I can't handle this, no matter what good you think you're doing you are still a criminal Peter. I'm gonna need you to keep your distance for a while so I can process all this." She told him as she sadly walks out of the room and out of the house but Peter can't help but wonder 'why did I get so mad?'
Less than 15 minutes later inside new York state pen former police captain george stacy has a visitor standing on the ceiling right outside his cell door "captain we need to talk" said the visitor and before even turning around to face him george asks "what happened?... Parker."
A/N originally I was going to have a lot more time before gwen found out but honestly I just got so sick of the same thing over and over again so I jumped the gun, we'll see if it works out or not but I've been doing WAY too much drinking today so I'm gonna pass out now.
