'The first stop on my symbiote-related apology tour is aunt may, last time I was here she kicked me out telling me not to come back until I was myself again… she couldn't possibly know right?' As the young hero walked through the front door of his childhood home with a backpack full of some stuff for the next couple days, he came face to face with the woman who raised him as her own. "Hey aunt may. Look I'm sorry about tonight and the last time I was here, I guess I haven't been dealing with everything as well as I thought I was…" but with that she just hugged him tightly "you forgive me just like that? How?" "Peter Parker I was upset at how lost you were but you have found yourself again. Unfortunately it's not gonna be so easy with the others…" tilting his head to the floor he asks his aunt "how's Randy?" "He's not hurt but he's more than a little upset and confused but that's business for tomorrow. Go get some rest." She told her nephew poking him towards the upstairs.
The next day he payed a visit next door to the three other women he needs to make things right with… "hey Mrs. Watson I'm sorry about last night. I guess I've been dealing with a lot lately, I'm sorry. Are Gwen and MJ around?" He asked timidly but at that moment Mary Jane walked out from her bedroom into the living room "hey tiger! What was up with last night? You kinda freaked." "Yeah I'm sorry about all that MJ, I guess I…" but she suddenly cut him off "I'm sorry too. You've got a lot to deal with everyday and I just left you to deal with it alone" but as soon as she saw the confused look on the brunette boys face the fiery redhead quickly started fumbling over her words as if she was trying to hide something. "I mean with all your money problems, your aunt, your job, school, all this drama with Gwen. You do too much, you need to take a break, you know." At the mention of the blonde he moved his head to look around the house. "Speaking of Gwen, where is she?" He asked but MJs face took on a look of anger and disgust. "She's out with Harry." She answered full of venom. "Harry…? But why? What about Randy?" "He broke up with her this morning, as for why she's with Harry I'm gonna go with insanity brought on by crippling loneliness. You gotta fix this mess Pete." She told him before jestering to the door to say to hurry up.
He swung all over the city but he couldn't find Gwen and Harry anywhere. "Where are they?! Where are they! With what Harry's become there's no telling what he might do. Where is she!?" He cried out in desperate fear for the safety of the woman he loves. Eventually he found her being dropped off by a limo at her dorm building 'good at least she's safe. Now to change and clear the air.' Once he had begun to Walk back over as Peter Parker he was intercepted by Randy Robertson. "Oh hey Randy. Look I'm sorry about the way I've been acting around you, I've been under a lot of stress lately and seeing you with Gwen, I guess I just kinda snapped. You seem like a good guy and I hope we can start over and be friends." "You were being all kinds of toxic parker but you were right about one thing: Gwen doesn't love me, I'm just a rebound. She loves you Peter so be good to her" he responded, shaking his hand. 'well at least he didn't tell me to go to hell or anything, that's…. something.' as he was watching Randy walk away he suddenly thought he saw 'Eddie Brock?' but when he focused back to that spot he was gone.
When he reached Gwen's door and knocked he was greeted by a very angry blonde girl. "I told you last night that if you weren't going to get rid of that thing then I was cutting you out of my life! So if you're here to get possessive or shove me down again then you can just f…." But the webhead interrupted her angry venting "Gwen. It's me. No more symbiote, ever again. I'm sorry." "Oh well I'm glad you finally came to your senses but it's gonna take a while for me to forgive you" "in the meantime stay away from Harry." But Gwen's face contorted back into shock and anger. "Excuse me? What's your excuse now for telling me who I can and can't spend time with!? No symbiote to blame now peter!" "Gwen he's dangerous. He's been arming criminals with goblin tech for months and who knows what other illegal activities. Who knows what he might do to you, please Gwen for your own safety stay away from him." "Sorry Peter Parker but you don't tell me what to do. Harry is still my friend and I'll spend time with him if I want to." She brushed him off coldly before slamming the door in his face. 'well that could have gone better…'
As the down on his luck heroic young man exited the dorm of his scientific ex girlfriend, who chose to ignore his warning, he is suddenly hoisted up to the roof by a black slimy web line. When he slams on the hard roof surface he sees a big burly figure standing over him looking directly down at the hero, the large figure had what looked like the symbiote suit on but much larger with sharp claws and a big mouth full of sharp teeth and a long slithering tongue. "No time to relax now parker! Things are just getting started!" The figure said in a constant shifting pitch from deep and booming to a high pitched growling wine and everything in between. "What….? The symbiote..? But… but how!? I thought I destroyed it!" The wall crawler said with wide eyes as he tried to avoid the large symbiote man. Almost immediately Spider-Man is pinned down head first. " Ha! You can't destroy us! We're a force of nature, we're poison to Peter Parker and Spider-Man! WE'RE VENOM!" Before tossing him across the roof like a ragdoll. "It'd be too easy for us to just kill you know but you have to suffer first, you have to lose everything, everyone first. Just like we did. Only then will you welcome our embrace of death. After all, we know everything about you, everyone you care about!" The monster calling himself venom taunted before web swinging away, leaving the poor battered hero in terror, completely terrified for the lives of his loved ones. He's lost too many people already.
A/N well I'm drunk. Peter is making some progress repairing the social damage from the symbiote, Gwen is pulling a Lana and not listening to reason just because she's mad, Harry now is starting to get his hooks into Gwen that can't end well…. Venom has arrived… to troll Spidey for a little while first. Until next time true believers!
