Late that same night in a secret laboratory deep within Oscorp, Harry Osborn is in a chamber breathing in the chemical gas of super soldier enhanced goblin formula.
"Wonderful Osborn, now what about the rest of us?" Roddrick Kingsley asked the bitter, wealthy man while standing impatiently alongside Jason Macendale, and new recruit Robert Ferrell.
Harry angrily stares into the eyes of the criminal, coldly stating "not so fast Kingsley, you have to earn this power and so far you haven't earned shit." Before just walking past him without another thought.
Over at the coffee bean, Peter Parker has just arrived to Flash Thompson's party, surrounded by people he's learned to call friends from Liz and her brother Mark to Mary Jane Watson and even Randy Robertson but he still couldn't escape his guilt over everything that's happened to Gwen since he first put on the mask. No matter how much good he does as Spider-Man, he's always ended up hurting those he cares about the most, Harry's dad, Gwen's parents, Gwen's legs, WHAT HARRY DID TO GWEN. 'OH SHIT THAT'S RIGHT! I HAVEN'T CONFRONTED HARRY FOR THAT YET, AFTER ALL THIS SHIT ABOUT VENOM.'
"Hey Parker!" Flash called out when he noticed the nerdy hero, "you ok bud? I heard about Gwen, I know shit's been weird between you two for a while but I always thought you dorks would make it work" "not everything works out Flash" he replied somberly, obviously eager to leave. "I'm sorry Flash. For far too long I've judged and held who you were against you but you're a good friend and I'm sorry." "Hey it's all good Pete. I deserved it but that's behind us now buddy." "Take care of yourself over there Flash." He said while shaking the hand of his former bully before walking out of the coffee -filled building.
After Peter left the party, he had business to attend to, business at the Osborn penthouse and Oscorp. First stop was the penthouse, he entered through the balcony and found Harry standing there holding a glass of scotch. "What the hell is wrong with you Harry! How could you drug and rape Gwen! She was your friend that trusted you, you once loved her and you do that to her…?!" But Harry has become a master at turning the tables on everyone, especially Peter Parker. "How could you lead the symbiote into creating that monster and then let him paralyze her? On top of everything else you've done to her I'd say my actions are rather insignificant." The young Osborn says with this infuriating smugness that makes you want to punch him and that's exactly what the wall crawler does.
Harry wasn't surprised at the reaction, in fact it's what he was counting on, what was surprising was when Harry hit back, hard. Harder than any average human. "Oh no… Harry what did you do…? You actually took the goblin formula!? That stuff makes you crazy! Come on Harry, listen to me, stay with me! Snap out of it!" But Harry just laughs "hahahaha save your pathetic emotional attempt to reach me, I perfected the serum. No more madness, I'm doing this because I WANT TO PARKER!" he screamed out before knocking the red and blue hero clean out the window, when he swung back in, Harry was gone.
Over at the hospital Gwen was packing up all her belongings in preparation for going to England to learn to live without the use of her legs and to get away. Just as she finished up, MJ walked in, it was hard seeing the young blonde sitting in a wheelchair and the Watson woman knew two things: that Peter was blaming himself and that Gwen was pushing Peter away.
Mary Jane didn't even know where to start but eventually she said "hey girl" anytime she's ever greeted Gwen like that, It's always been happy, excited but this was just sad. "Can you believe that we used to completely hate each other?" Gwen asked the usually unshakably confident redhead. "Ha yeah you thought I was trying to steal Pete away from you and I thought you were an uppity control freak, we've come a long way. I'm really gonna miss you, I'm so sorry Gwen so sorry. I'll always be here for you." MJ said while tearing up at the end. Unfortunately standing outside the window on a goblin glider was an individual dressed in what looked like a more armored, modernized, and flight ready version of the green goblin suit. "Harry!?" Gwen asked in horror but already knowing it was him, even if he didn't just start laughing wickedly in a way only who Harry is now would do.
The web head decided enough was enough. 'It's time I finally shut Harry's operation down for good and since Harry's like any Osborn he's got to be held up at Oscorp. When he enters the scientific facility he sees not only Harry, dressed in an updated green goblin suit 'I guess he's fully embraced his dad's legacy, I'm sorry I couldn't save you buddy.' But he also saw hobgoblin, jack o lantern and an African American kid in high tech goblinized skateboard gear. 'wait I think I know him… Robert Ferrell! He's in Miles and Gankes grade, I should really check up on them. It's been a while, job for another day.'
The subsequent fight was really out of control and led into populated streets, neighborhoods and homes. Rocket Racer was actually taken down pretty quick, not only was his equipment pretty shitty but he had absolutely no idea how to use it. However the fight between the amazing Spider-Man, the horrific hobgoblin, the jilted jack o lantern and his once best friend the now new green goblin had led to a heavily populated apartment building being engulfed in pumpkin bomb fuled flames.
Harry is flying the hero through the fiery rubble, crashing him through debris. While he yanks the glider out from under Macendale, he tries one last time to appeal to Harry's humanity. "Harry! These are innocent people in danger, help me save them." But the green and purple armoured man just laughs before repeatedly punching him in his spider powered face. It takes everything he has to get away and even more to rescue the civilians from their burning home, just when he thinks everyone is clear he sees Brian Quinn yelling at him that his neighbor, Mrs. Calabash, is still inside.
As he slingshots himself back into the building he's intercepted and flown away from the fire by the hobgoblin. "Nnnoooo!" He screamed out desperately trying to get free, to be able to save everyone but all he could do was struggle and watch as the building completely collapsed, sealing the fate of the elderly woman dear to Q. With the newfound rage of the needless death he broke free and broke the glider, beat hobgoblins stupid rubber serpent face into unconsciousness and set his sights on Harry who was just hovering there grinning.
As Pete prepared to attack the goblin, not Harry not anymore, Q threw a burnt brick right at the webheads head, spider sense of course he dodged. "I used to be a fan, I used to think you were a hero! But you did this and you didn't save Mrs. Calabash. You're not a hero Spider-Man, not to me. Now get outta here!" The tv comedian ranted out his anger for the young man that does his best but that's not always enough. At this point Harry was long gone but there's not many places he could go. 'i want to make sure Gwen isn't in any more danger first and then I'm hunting you down, Harry.' the hero thought bitterly, with a burning rage not really common for him.
When he got to Gwen's hospital room he found shattered glass all over the floor, a missing Gwen and a barely conscious Mary Jane Watson. Quickly running over to her side "MJ? What happened here? Are you ok? Where's Gwen?" "He took her! Osborn, that Maniac took her! You have to find him, Peter, find her!" She cried out in a desperate panic, suggesting that what she knew of Peter was capable of doing anything about this. 'She seems to think I can do something, maybe it's shock, maybe it's something else… either way that's not important right now.' "MJ I promise I will bring Gwen back alright but you need to see a doctor, where the hell is everyone? An explosion goes off in a hospital and there's not a doctor to be found?!" But at that moment an Asian nurse perhaps in her late 20s walked in doing the rounds and checking up on everyone, her name tag said Sha Shan Nguyen, she was a nurse there and Peter really needed to get moving so he helped MJ over to her before heading towards Harry's fancy penthouse to end this madness.
He smashed through the window and immediately started attacking the young goblin man. "This ends now! Where is she, Harry?!" He screamed again and again while throwing everything he has at his now arch enemy. The glider was flying around all over the room crashing into walls trying to shake the web-headed hero off until they crashed through a very thick metal door to find Gwen tied to a chair and gagged. At the sight of her, Peter kick off the glider and went to get her out of there but Harry ejected blades from the front of his glider and made his way right towards them but Spidey webbed goblins purple booted foot yanking him right off before immediately catching the now empty glider. He then proceeded to smash it over and over again against the metallic floor only to then rip the remains in half and throw them to the side.
He then quickly approached the goblin successor, punching him in his green armored mask only to realign his head before repeating the process again and again until finally he punched the mask off into shattered fragments, staring down at the redheaded, angry, bloodied face of the man that was once his BEST friend. "No more Harry. Your vendetta is with me, no more wannabes, no more innocent people, but if you come after me again I will bring you down, this is your last chance." He told him before going over and picking Gwen up and exiting the penthouse.
The next morning Peter was at the bugle, Gwen was leaving today and no matter what he would be there to see her off as she puts this dangerous and traumatic part of her life behind her, but he saw the bugles big story being SPIDER-MAN MENACE BOMBS APARTMENT COMPLEX, KILLS woman. 'I did everything I could but no matter what I can't always save everyone. I'm only one man.' but his melancholy thoughts were interrupted by a text message from MJ. Sorry tiger but Gwen took an early flight this morning, she's gone... 'Gwen already left…? Will I ever see her again? Is the woman I love gone?'
It was now a few weeks later on Christmas day and Peter Parker was sitting there in the living room, big metal Christmas tree and warm digital fireplace, with the only person he has left, the one person he can always count on, the woman who raised him, his aunt May Parker. She hands him a small box "I know it's not much but it was your uncle Ben's. Merry Christmas Peter." She tells her nephew when he's still seemingly at one of his lowest points, he opens the box to see his uncle's old, but favorite watch and just hugs his aunt in a caring embrace.
'No matter how hard things get, no matter what people think, no matter who i lose, it will always be my responsibility to keep my city safe, this will always be my burden to bare, in the most tragic of times and the happiest of memories I will always be Spider-Man.'
In a strange office there's a rather slim man in a trench coat, hat, gloves but his most distinct trait was his black and white textured almost skulled mask. "SilverMaine, kingpin, hammerhead, tombstone all dealt with, now it's the big man's turn.
In a secret lab underneath midtown high school, a 14 year old foreign genius with long dark hair dressed in a green button up shirt and long black Jacket is strapped to a large table, surrounded by all sorts of chemicals and machines as a figure dressed in a lime green dress shirt, maroon jacket,gray gloves, silver blood stained apron and a metal mask, black and gold with long pointed animal ears coming up off it slowly walks up to the captured young teenager. "Ok Michael, it's time for the final phase of our little experiment."
A/N ok that's season 2. Season 1 was really really long compared to 2 because season 1 was almost Peter's entire senior year while season 2 was only one college semester, until college isn't a setting anymore each subsequent season will be around this length give or take. Gwen is off to England, Flash is off to the military, Harry has been dealt with for the time being, the public is going to start to become much more divided about Spider-Man, not everyone will love him or hate him. Looks like we got some new big bads showing up, we got the new crime lord the big man and we got the jackal and his dangerous human experiments.
