Title: Face To Face

Transcript Of Cornelius Slate's Recording:

On my way back, I came across a young man and a private detective. He was looking for me, hoping to ask some serious questions about Comstock and his past. Fitzroy and her people already know who this man is and what he is doing, but I never asked why they were watching him from a distance. So, the young man and I sat down, and I started explaining to him what sort of man Comstock really was. I told the detective about how Comstock wasn't there at the Battle of Wounded Knee, how he told lies and false tales, his mistreat of the poor, and how Comstock stripped me for everything. During my talk with the young man, I noticed something about his voice whenever the topic switched to Comstock. It was like he himself hated Comstock as much as I did, but I never asked him about it though. After our talk and business was done, the detective and I shook hands and left. I'm not exactly sure what this Jerome wants with the information he's gathering up on Comstock or that ghastly businessman Fink, but if the information he's building up leads to something big. Well… then Comstock is finished.
