Chapter 2:
"Heal, heal my body." Aiden mutters in Ancient, Moon grabs his hand, holding it tight she has a tear down her cheek, their relationship might be physical, but as they say about sexual intimacy, it can form the deepest bonds known to man, and she loves him, real love, not sexual love as some would guess, but real love.
His eyes open and he sees her first, "Hey, you, okay?".
She laughs, he always asks about other before about himself, a dog jumps on the bed and licks Aiden's face, the man laughs as he hugs his dog, seriously, that dog is on the old side buts still jumps around like a puppy. "I am okay Osc, really.".
Moon laughs at the sight; Aiden truly was a sucker for dogs. "You and dogs.". Aiden smirks, "Hey, dogs are man's best friend.".
She agreed, watching the interaction between him and his dog was worth it, Oscar was like a child to him. But he was troubled, when Oscar accidentally clawed his hospital gown open, you could see the feeding mark on his chest. He freezes, cursing at himself, "And once again, I am reminded that I am only half human.".
Doctor Weir heard it, she grew rather fond of the young man, she admires him for his will and determination. But she could see the boy, sorry, young man, was hurting, he hasn't seen his family in over a year, sure, he gets video tapes from them, but it isn't enough in her opinion. "Lieutenant, once you are fully recovered, I think you should take some leave.".
Aiden looks shocked, "But, why? I have a job to do!".
"Lieutenant, you have been away from home for over a year, it's time that you just be you.".
"Ma'am, this is me, I am a fighter, not a family man!" Oscar winces, and Aiden immediately sees his mistake, "I am sorry bud, I didn't mean it that way.".
Oscar then barks in forgiveness and jumps into Moon's arms. Moon catches him and was met with a lot of dog kisses.
"Ma'am, this is my home, I need to fight for it." Aiden argues.
"My order stands, you shall take leave the minute you're released out of Doctor Carson's care." Weir wasn't taking no for an answer.
"Ma'am, as soon as I have him released, I will keep him for 24-hour observation for any changes, meaning he'll need to stay around for a wee bit." Carson came to his rescue.
Weir, obvious about the fact that Carson was looking out for Aiden, rolls her eyes and merely nods. "Very well.".
After she left, Aiden mouths a 'Thank you' to him, Carson winks and went back to his duties.
A few minutes past before Aiden received another visitor, "Is Lieutenant O'Neill here?".
"Right here buddy." And a box is placed on his lap. It was from his parents, opening it, to find a picture of Grace in her ballet outfit. Sniffing lightly, he misses his sister. Moon, seeing the tears, gives him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"Maybe you should go home.".
"I can't, the whole damn world knows who I am, who my family is. The IOA already wants my head.".
Brie felt for him, she fell for him too. There was something about him that made him different, well of course dummy, he's half replicator, but the truth is, she saw passed that, she sees a sweet guy who is willing to give anything for those he feels need to be protected.
"The IOA doesn't have to know, didn't Hayes win the election again?" she pointed out, knowing the kid's friendship with the president.
"Oh yeah, Kinsey only received 20% of the popular vote." his head falls back as he laughs. "Worst candidate those idiots could ever pick!".
