Chapter 3:
Thousands of Jaffa were marching to a balcony, where Nirrti was waiting, five hundred thousand Jaffa, waiting to serve their false god.
"Jaffa! Kree! Today, we launch our onslaught! Today, we go to destroy our true enemy, the Tau'ri! Today, we reclaim, WHAT WAS LOST TO US! And the universe will know, that Nirrti, is their true god!". The Jaffa cheer to their god's words.
Kai, who stood behind his mistress, places his hand over his dagger, knowing, he will destroy the Tau'ri, no matter the cost. For years the enemy took the fight to them, this time, he'll bring it to them.
Meanwhile, on Atlantis, Aiden just got released from the infirmary, but to remain under in the city, which made no sense, he healed all his wounds, but he knew Carson was making sure he stuck around as long as possible. Oscar, decided to take a snooze in his little dog bed, while Aiden, sat behind a desk, a photo of his family, it was funny, how he serves the USAF, without a high school degree. He's an officer for crying out load too!
A knock on his door distracts him, mentally commanding it to open, there she his, Moon, at the door, worried. "May I come in?".
"Of course corporal." He stands out of the way, letting her in.
The door shuts, or slides closed, and when they were sure they were alone, Brie jumps him, kissing him passionately. Aiden, returns the kiss, his hands not leaving her cheeks once. "I am sorry, for today. I lost my nerve.".
Brie didn't let him continue, she kept kissing, purposely making his hands move down her body, just to be sure he was really here.
"Don't you ever do that again! I can't lose you.".
"I can't promise that.".
Remaining silent, the two continue making out, and ripping clothes off.
Hours passed, and the couple were sleeping, Aiden's arms around her, her hands over his.
Oscar, sleeping at their feet.
But Aiden wasn't sleeping peacefully, twitching, grunting in his sleep, Brie, squeezes his hand slightly, calming him.
But it had no affect.
Dream:
Running, running through a swamp, being chased by an unknown threat, no gun, no weapon, why was he running? What made him run? He doesn't want to find out, so he kept running, but something trips him, falling onto his stomach, his leg injured.
Cold hands grabbing him, turning him over, a Wraith! A Wraith!
Before he could get away, the wraith's hand slams onto his chest, the life being sucked out of him!
He jumps with a scream. His hand lands on the feeding scar. His breath picking up pace. Why the scar never healed, he'll never understand.
Brie hugs him from behind, "Hey, it's okay, you're safe, here, with me.".
"I have to go back. I have to see my family.".
Sighing, Brie gets out of the bed and dressed.
"Where're you going?".
"I am going with you, to Earth.".
"No, Atlantis needs you.".
"But I need you.".
Aiden looks upon her as if she grew a second head. "What?".
"This whole, friends with benefits routine, at first, I could deal with it, but now, I can't deny the fact that I LOVE you. Please, I know you said you don't want a romantic relationship, but…"
Aiden gets out of bed and kisses her deeply.
This was no ordinary kiss; this was something more.
"I feel the same way.".
