Chapter 12:
The team was far ahead, but Brie had a feeling. "We should head back.".
"Agreed." Brogues said.
"But Aiden said to keep moving." Stevie said, unsure of the sudden change of mind.
"No need." Came Aiden's voice.
Brie's jaw drops when she sees two of them, and for some reason, it was affecting her lady bits, two Aiden's, gives her a lot of ideas. "Uh, babe, which one are you?".
The one on the right lifts his hand, "Right here sweet cheeks.".
Brie groans, "I hate that nickname.".
Aiden chuckles, "I know, just proving its me.". He walks up to her and kisses her, "Seems to me I got a double.".
Kai sneers, "Pure coincidence.".
"Lieutenant, come in." came through Aiden's radio.
Aiden grabs it, "O'Neill here.".
"Shall we send the Calvary?".
"Negative, I will sort this out.". He then looks over to his double. "We have required some assistance on the planet. O'Neill out.".
This was it, the final shot to the mission. "Are you in, or out?".
Kai looks at him, "I am in.".
"Sir, is this the smartest idea?" asked Brogues.
"Nah, but what choice do we have?" asked Aiden back.
"Nirrti's stronghold is across the valley, a two-day trek." Kai informs.
"If it's two days on foot, how did you get here so fast?" asked Stevie.
"I teleported myself. But my mistress will know I am missing, we must find a way into the stronghold, undetected.".
Aiden listened, but there was no way they will walk for two days, everyday counts. "Call the Prometheus, tell them to send down some transportation.".
"On it." Brogues grabbed his radio.
"Is there a faster route?".
"If we have transportation, we can cut it to a day and a half, terrain is very rough." Kai points to a tree line, "If we head through there, we can remain undetected, the Jaffa won't be able to trace us.".
"But a good spot to setup Guerrilla Warfare." Aiden liked it. "I like it.". "But if we remain riverside, we can follow-up to a potential water system. Right?".
"Yes.".
"Huh. How many Jaffa do we need to expect?".
"Her whole army.".
"Well shit, all we have are P-90s, 9 mils and a couple explosives.".
"There is a way.".
Behind them, four dirt bikes get beamed down. "Alright, who's pairing up?".
Brie lifts her hand. "We can.".
Kai picks up on the scent, "She's your special someone, isn't she?".
"Yup, I am one lucky bastard." Aiden smirks.
They ride out. Kai learned quite quickly in five minutes, somehow, he knew how to ride. Riding along the river and treeline, they cover ground, but sundown was getting them. So, along the river, they set up camp.
"Kai, you and I will get firewood, Brie, gather rocks for the fire. Brogues, Stevie, watch for uninvited guests.".
Aiden and Kai went of for the wood.
Deep into the woods, Aiden walks, picking up pieces, making sure his companion doesn't plan on attacking him. "Why? What made you help us?".
Kai seemed hesitant, "It was your eyes, Nirrti claimed I have my mother's eyes. Which I don't understand.".
"Funny, they say the same for me, mother's eyes, dad's attitude." Aiden remarks. "My parents were both SG-1.".
"Nirrti said I was bred to fight, that my parents were warriors.".
"Wouldn't surprise if we are blood related." Aiden chuckles.
"I have these dreams, I can't explain them, of, a dark-haired girl, copper skin, beautiful. I think her name is…".
"Gabriela." Aiden finished. "My ex. Fuck! This is bad! My memories are linked to yours somehow!".
"How is that possible?".
"I don't know, but we have some serious shit going on here.".
The two men return with firewood, and Brie just packed the rocks in a circle formation, "All set.". Aiden, the smug one, grins at his girlfriend. "Thanks." Packing the wood, Stevie and Brogues keep a keen eye on Kai. Kai, merely grunts, "If I wanted you all dead, you would've been already.".
Aiden didn't trust him one bit, but what other choice does he have. " I can kill you in seven ways, with only my bare hands.".
Kai laughs and points to himself, "Ten.".
Brie snorts, as much as this guy looks like Aiden, he was so different. "Sun will be down soon, what's the plan?".
"Spend the night, I'll take first watch." Aiden said.
