Chapter 20:
Earth, San Diego, a month later:
Basic training his ass, he was rocking it, top of his class! Hell, he got his drill sergeant's approval, he was just that good! Hell, he was so good, he was appointed platoon commander. (That is correct right? I know Navy stuff; Marine Corp is new territory for me.)
The 24-hour break was coming up, and he thinks he could use the day off. But since none of the recruits wish to talk to him, he had to do something on his own. Ah well, he'll find something to do.
He heard there was a close by park, he'll just chill on a bench there, contact his brother or something. Luckily, Thor, the little Grey Alien, gave him a device that can link the two together.
The park is quiet, the birds chirping, a cloud here and there. Ah, perfect. Pulling out the device, he clicked on it, hear a humming sound.
"Hey Kai, what's up?".
"Brother, how's Pegasus?".
"Tough, got my first assignment, my team and I are on a routine check-in with local allies. I'm getting weird stares from the local ladies again.".
"Yeah, tough having the O'Neill genes.".
"No way, did my long-lost twin brother just crack a joke?".
"Yes, I did. Anyway, I see a very attractive lady I wish to talk to.".
"Good luck.".
Pegasus, some backwater planet:
As his team were checking in on the locals, the women were all ogling over Aiden, which Brie noticed. And boy was she jealous. And Aiden will never admit it, but when his queen gets all fired up, she is sexier than ever.
While walking up and down, the women from a certain building look oddly at him, but their clothing seemed different from the rest, why, he doesn't know. But then he reads the sign on top. "Ah, that explains it.". He walks fast away. Nope, not his type of planet. He needs to get out of here, FAST!
Luckily, Lorne catches him, "Let's go kid, we're getting out of here. SGC is looking for ye.". Turning around, one of the younger ladies gave a seductive fingers wave, which pissed Brie really off. "Let's get out of here." Lorne suggested and the team left ASAP.
Back at Atlantis, Aiden along with Lorne arrive at the control room, waiting for the SGC to call in. And as the gate activated, General Samantha Carter-O'Neill was on the line. "How's Atlantis.".
"It's great mom." Aiden responds.
Sam then holds two envelopes, "I got two invitations to the annual Military Ball, one for Sheppard, and one for Aiden.". John and Aiden look at each other and then… "Why us?".
"Presidential Order.".
"Oh, that make sense." Aiden smirks, old Hayes, making him look good for his enemies. "Each may be accompanied by one plus one.".
John smiled; oh, Teyla is gonna love this. Aiden smirked, he was so taking Brie, but was she going in uniform or a dress? He'll ask her. So, leaving, he walks to her, who was in the shower. "Mind if I join ye?".
"I've been waiting." She smirks, turning around, merely to tease him. Oh, she asked for it…
An hour later, both wrapped in towels, snuggled up, he decided to pop the question, "You ever been to a Military Ball before?".
"No." she smiled.
"Care to join me?".
"Yes." She kisses him, and slowly removes the towels.
