Timeline- Sometime after 'The Robotic Turnabout'/the events of the game Sisters vs. Sisters.
WARNING- SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS for the True End of Sisters vs. Sisters. DO NOT proceed if you don't want to know what happens.

*Someplace deep underground...*
"Lord Thales?"
"Yes?"
"This just arrived for you from above- for your eyes only."
"Thank you. You are dismissed." The servant bowed and left, closing the door behind him.
Thales, the leader of the group that the Lowee Guild had designated 'those who slither in the dark', looked down at the small package that had been given to him, opening it to reveal a memory stick. Raising an eyebrow, he took the stick and plugged it into his computer, a video file popping up on the monitor, revealing an NPC who looked a bit haggard.
"Listen to me, I don't have much time. Our plans have failed, the IS Crystal was destroyed before activation, and the Deity of Sin's new vessel has passed on. Maho will soon ascend as the new CPU of the PC Continent. I don't know how, but that thrice-damned Nepgear found out about our plans and had us all arrested. I'm the only one who got away, and the authorities are hounding me as I speak. This video will be transmitted over a secure connection to our remaining liaison in Gamindustri, with instructions to deliver this to you. ASIC has failed. You, who have dwelled underground since the days of the Game Genie... it's up to you now." Sirens were then heard. "Shit, they're almost here. Glory to the Deity of Sin!" The NPC popped what was clearly a poison pill into his mouth, the video then stopping.
Thales was silent for a few moments, before walking over to a nearby panel and pressing a button. "Send in Ghetsis."
"Yes, my lord," came the reply. A few minutes later, a man in a black cloak walked in, with pale green hair and a futuristic red monocle over his left eye, using a cane to help him walk.
"You called, Lord Thales?" Ghetsis began.
"Yes. I've made my decision. I will accept that Dr. Williams you recruited into our organization."
"You will? If I may... why the sudden change of heart?"
"Take a look at this." Thales then played back the video for Ghetsis to watch. "ASIC is now all but defunct. Now it is up to us to pick up the torch, to try and succeed where they failed. And we will need any advantage we can get."
"...I see. If I may speak freely, I always thought that plot to use the PC Continent's CPU was a long shot to begin with," Ghetsis pointed out.
"And it seems your concerns were justified. But that is in the past now." Looking Ghetsis in the eye, Thales continued, "Have Dr. Williams share any and all projects he was working on before his arrest and conviction. Let us see if his ideas can be married with our technology."
"It will be done, Lord Thales," Ghetsis obediently bowed his head, before turning and leaving.
