Ch 7 The First Lesson

(Insert FGO Olympus - Chill Melody OST)

Later that night, after dinner at the cafeteria Mashu guided Harry back to his room.

Harry was exhausted from hanging around Draco all day. Fou went off somewhere in the Outpost,

Mashu tucked Harry into his bed, smiling at him. "Comfy. Harry-kun?" She asked her adoptive Son.

"Yes," Harry smiles softly, adjusting himself under his blanket.

"I'm glad to hear it," Mashu got up from his bedside, heading to turn off the ceiling lights.

Harry turns to the violet-haired woman, approaching the light switch, "Miss Mashu…" He called out to his adoptive Mother.

Mashu paused before turning to see what Harry needed, "Yes, Harry-kun?" She asked,

Harry looks to the side before asking her something important. "Um, when do you think Rider is done fixing Padfoot?" He asked softly,

The former Demi-Servant smiles, answering him respectfully. "Rider-san is probably still working on him." Mashu answered him, "She probably wants to make him better than he was before."

"Oh…" Harry understood, seeing that Habetrot is a creative person. However, there was also another question in his mind, "Miss Mashu?"

"Yes?"

Harry blinks at her, wondering if the question he's going to ask is a rude one. "Um, why does everyone have the same name?" He finally asked the golden question. "I'd noticed that almost everyone here has the same name. Like Rider and Rider, isn't that confusing?"

Mashu blinks, a bit expecting him to ask that question earlier than now. She approached the bed, sitting back down to explain things to her Son. "Well, Harry-kun, you saw the Servants with different clothing than the Staff here, right?"

"Yes, Mr. Animusphere wears the same clothes as the people in the hallways but different too." The young Boy stated, "Draco is the same too, but the…Servants are different."

"Well, you see the Servants are like secret agents," Mashu explains the best she could, considering it's a bit early to tell him about Chaldea's real purpose. "At all times it's mandatory, revealing their real names will put us in danger. But back at our home, we can relax and go by the names we go by."

Harry blinks, still a bit confused with everything his Mother said. But he got the gist of it, "So it's like a rule? Did Ritsuka say so?" He asked, hearing the Servants as Mashu calls them called his adoptive Father their master many times before.

"Not entirely, it's from Ritsuka's bosses who demand it," Mashu explains, knowing how the Mages Association is quite picky when it comes to Servants. "But there are a few Servants like Koyanskaya and Shirou Kotomine who doesn't follow that rule due to special circumstances. Even some going with false names, but mostly some prefer their titles."

"Okay," Harry nodded, getting it a bit.

Soon a knock on the door interrupted them, both looked at the bedroom door to see who it was. "Yes? Who is it?"

"It's me, Rider." Habetrot's voice spoke, muffled behind the door.

Mashu nodded, "Yes, come it, Rider-san."

The door was opened by the Fairy still riding her flying machine with a wrapped present at the back. "Sorry to disturb you two this late at night, but I got something for the little master," Habetrot said, approaching the Mother and Son.

Harry sat up, watching as the Lostbelt Servant stopped next to his Mother. Habetrot smiles, excited to gift her present to him. "So, it was an easy fix at the start, but I can stop right there." She turned around, grabbed the present, and handed it to Mashu.

"I added a few features to the toy to…express my creative side," Habetrot explains what she did to the once broken toy.

Mashu smiles, handing it over to Harry. "Here, open it Harry-kun."

Harry took the box, opening it to reveal the same black dog stuffy with now red eyes and a small cape tied in a green bow tie. "Padfoot's fix!" He took his new toy, smiling happily.

The former Demi-Servant claps her hands, seeing the joyful expression. "That's great to hear, Harry-kun." Mashu playfully cheered, turning to Habetrot.

Harry looks over to the pink-haired Fairy, hugging Padfoot in his arms. "T-Thank you, Rider." He smiles brightly.

Habetrot gave a light chuckle, seeing how adorable his master's Son was. "Anytime, little master." She turns to Mashu, nodding before leaving the room.

Mashu looks at Harry, smiling at the repaired toy in his arms. "Now that Padfoot is fixed, you can sleep peacefully now, Harry-kun," He retucked her Son back under the blankets and approached the light switch. "Good night, Harry-kun."

Harry yawns, snuggling with his toy. "Good…night…Mommy…" His eyes drift to sleep, not realizing what he said.

Mashu stood there, stunned by what he called her. After a few minutes, she turned off the lights and smiled back. "Good night, Harry."

Mashu was happy, hearing Harry calling her Mommy even if he was sleepy. She hums to herself, heading to her and Ritsuka's room to do some work in bed. (end song)

Later that night, almost everyone slept peacefully at night…well except for those who had the night shift. Most of the Servants went into the nearby forest home to many Phantasmal Beasts who survived the end of the Age of Gods and Fairies.

With those Phantasmal Beasts living in a dark forest, it's only natural for the Servants to patrol the border between the Outpost and the Forest.

Harry slept peacefully in his bed, snuggling with Padfoot. The only noise was the sound of the few night shift Staff walking around the halls.

"…Come…"

Harry's body sat up in his bed, his eye was soulless and emotionless. He removes his blankets, touching the floor with his bare feet.

The young boy got up from his bed and headed to the door, dropping his stuffed toy on the ground. He walks over to the door, leaving his room.

Harry stood in the middle of the hallway like a puppet on strings.

"…This way…"

The young boy walks to the left side of the hallway, heading to the place where the voice was directing him.

Harry walked down the hallway for a few minutes, now he stood before a door to a rarely used room.

"… Enter…"

Harry opened the door, entering the dark room. He now stood in the dark, the only light source was the light of the moon.

The light within Harry's eyes was now fully awake. "W-Where am I?" The young boy suddenly woke up in a strange place. He was about to have a panic attack, being alone in a dark room until he noticed a hooded man standing before him.

The hooded man gazed down at the boy, meeting him face to face. "A-Are you one of R-Ritsuka's S-Servants?" Harry asked nervously,

"Tell me, are you prepared to carry the World and Humanity on your shoulders, boy?" The hooded man asked, ignoring the Child's question. "Are you ready to be the heir of Chaldea?"

"C-Chaldea?" Harry blinks, hearing that name for the first time. "W-What is C-Chaldea?" He gulps, feeling frightened by the amber eyes of the man gazing down at him.

The hooded man frowns, turning to the side. "(So, he didn't tell him yet. Damnit Fujimaru,)" He grumbled before turning back to the boy, asking him another question. "Since you lack knowledge of what all this is, I'll leave you a parting gift, a question that'll determine if you're ready to take the role."

"W-What?"

"Why do fight? Knowing life will eventually end at some point." The hooded man asked the boy, "Knowing that the life has been already spent. Why do you cling on, trying to continue living?"

"Even though you realize that in your future, there is not one shred of salvation."

Harry was confused by the question this man asked him. "W-What d-does that m-mean?" He whimpers, unsure how to answer that question.

The hooded man opens his hand above the boy, causing the same trance from earlier. "I shall ask you again when you learn what it means to be the Son of Chaldea, now…"

"…return to your room…" The hooded man ordered, "You will not remember this meeting with me until I call for you,"

Harry followed the order, leaving the hooded man alone in the room. "Fujimaru Ritsuka, why did you pick this boy to be your kin." The man sighs, knowing his master is a mystery.

In the lobby, the door opened for Ritsuka and Koyanskaya returning from their trip to America. "Ah, home sweet home!" Ritsuka stretched.

"You are aware this is technically Lucius's home," Koyanskaya spoke, eyeing her master.

"Ah, little details. Besides, Lucy has a mansion like this one for the Association to keep tabs on this Voldemort character." Ritsuka waves, having his Staff related to Botany gather information about the Wizarding World he just heard about.

Koyanskaya sighs, a bit tired to even play along with her master's antics.

"Oh, good evening, Lord Fujimaru, Ms. Koyanskaya." The two look up and see a woman with black hair and white streaks of hair from both sides of her hair to the ones on her shoulders. She wore a sophisticated modern dress.

"Narcissa, out on an evening stroll around the Outpost?" Ritsuka greeted Lucius's Wife standing near the meeting room to the left.

The Witch smiles, "Of course, nothing's better than a peaceful night stroll." Narcissa answered the director of Chaldea. "My Husband is late working with his other job, so it's a bit lonely in our room tonight."

Ritsuka nodded, "I see, sorry to disburse your nightly stroll." He scratches the back of his head.

"Nonsense, Lord Fujimaru. In any case, I shall retire for the night." Narcissa inclined her head before being stopped by Ritsuka.

"Narcissa, if you would can you make preparation in case we have… some unexpected guest coming….I don't know, about a few days or so?" The Magus asked the Witch for her assistance in the plan he has.

Narcissa blinks, hearing his sudden request this late at night. She nodded, obliging to his request, "I shall make the necessary preparation first thing in the morning." She said, knowing what those words mean.

"Not too early, Narcissa. Just when you have time," Ritsuka said, not wanting her to overexert herself. "It is late,"

The Witch nodded, appreciating his concerns over a simple task. Narissa took her leave, heading to her and her Husband's room to retire for the night.

Ritsuka made his way to the stairs, heading to check on Harry. "Fujimaru, if you're going to bed, let me remind you that you have a meeting with director Barthomeloi at the Clock Tower tomorrow at noon," Koyanskaya informed her master.

Ritsuka chuckles, waving his hand at the Fox before leaving her to file some reports.

Even if it's late at night, Ritsuka wants to check on Harry. He knows that today was unexpected and frightening. He sighs, not wanting Harry to live in fear of everything.

The Magus looks forward, seeing the boy he was talking to himself about appear. "Ah, Harry. I didn't realize you were still awake," Ritsuka walks towards his adoptive Son, however when he got closer something was off with him.

"Harry? Isn't it a bit late to-" Ritsuka quickly knelt down to the young boy's level, noticing he wasn't responding. He was in a trance state, like when he was under Yang Guifei's control during that test mission with the Nautilus.

"Harry," Ritsuka raised his voice, causing the light in Harry's eyes to return.

"R-Ritsuka?" Harry looks at his adoptive Father, rubbing his eyes and checking if it was a dream. "W-What's going on? W-Why am I in the hallway?" He asked, getting a bit nervous.

Ritsuka sighed in relief that Harry's tranced state wasn't permanent. However, from the look in his eyes, he could tell who did it. "Harry, what do you remember?" He asked, testing out something.

Harry cocked his head to the side, unsure what he meant. However, he answered him anyways. "U-Um, I-I remember that Miss Mashu tucked me in and Padfoot was repaired by Miss Rider." He answered.

"I see…" Ritsuka came close to his adoptive Son, picking him up into his arms.

Harry squeaked at the sudden action from the Magus, "U-Um…"

Ritsuka smiles at his Son, adjusting him so he can sit on his arms. To his surprise, he was lighter than he expected. "Let's get you to bed, I'm sure you're tired now after today."

Harry remained silent, wrapping his arms around Ritsuka's neck so he can't fall (As if Ritsuka would let that happen.).

The Magus walks down the hall, heading to the young boy's room. "So, today was interesting for me. Wanna hear about it, bud?" Ritsuka started a conversation with the boy.

"O-Okay," Harry nodded, seeing there wasn't really anything to do while walking to his room.

"Well, today Mashu told me that there's this Company Party thing for the Shareholders who invested in the Company," Ritsuka explains, talking about Party coming soon. "I was thinking about the three of us should go. I know you aren't comfortable with crowds yet, but I want to see if you're interested." He asked,

The black-haired boy thought for a moment before asking Ritsuka. "What Company is it, Ritsuka?" Harry asked.

Ritsuka took a deep breath, expecting a panicky child when he answered him. "Grunnings Drills."

Harry's eyes widened, immediately shook his head knowing what that name meant. "N-No thank you," He answered, ashamed for not coming but he doesn't want to see his Relatives again and make his new Family hate him as they did at the orphanage.

The Magus could see his stress elevated when he answered him. Ritsuka just smiled in response, "Okay, maybe next time bud," He chuckles, arriving at Harry's room.

Ritsuka opens the door, walking inside the dark room. He approached the bed, and gently placed him back into his bed. He tucked Harry back under the covers,

The Magus then looks down at his feet, noticing the black dog toy on the ground. "Harry," He picks up the toy, showing it to him. "Is this the toy you got today?"

"Padfoot!" Harry smiles brightly, taking the toy off his adoptive Father's hands.

"Padfoot? That's an interesting name." Ritsuka commented, seeing how much the boy loves that toy. "Where did you come up with it?" He asked,

Harry looks at his new toy, he wasn't sure why he called his Stuffed dog Padfoot. When he first laid eyes on it, the Stuff animal he got this blurry image of a black dog looking down at him. "I-I'm not sure, it just came to me." He answered truthfully.

Ritsuka chuckles, taking Harry's answer as the truth. He ruffled his hair, causing him to wince, "Well, get some sleep Hars. I believe tomorrow is your first lesson with Professor M and if he's not in then the other Professor M will take over."

"There's another Professor M? Are they related?" Harry innocently asked his adoptive Father,

"You can say that, but just sleep tonight okay bud?" Harry nodded, laying down on his pillow.

"Good night," Harry yawns before snuggling with Padfoot.

Ritsuka smiles walking out of the room, "Good night, Harry."

Once the Magus steps out of the room, gently closes the door behind him. Ritsuka stood in the hallway, alone with no Servants around. "Alright, I'm waiting." He said, calling whoever is lurking in the shadows.

The lights turned off, leaving only the moonlight from the hallway window as a light source. Turning around, Ritsuka witnessed the shadows morph into a hooded man with a white coat.

"Goetia,"

The man removed his hood, revealing his orange hair and amber eyes with a familiar face. "Master, is there something you need?" Goetia, the Beast of Pity asked the one who tamed him.

Ritsuka crosses his arms, knowing what the Beast has done. "Guess, I'm sure you can figure it out, Goetia."

Goetia sighs, knowing that even if he wipes the boy's memory of the meeting, his master will know right away. "I was merely evaluating the Wizard Boy, master. I only asked him some questions and a simple test of mine."

"Goetia, as much as I appreciate your efforts in the shadows for Chaldea. I ask you, please leave raising Harry to me and Mashu." Ritsuka stated, wanting Harry to be happy and not be roped into Chaldea's business just yet.

"If he is to be your heir, the next in line to inherit the title of the master of Chaldea," Goetia spoke, reasoning with his master. "That boy must be prepared for what's to come. A Wizard knows not of the dangers of the Universe and threats that come with that title, let alone a boy."

"Especially when that person is still around," The Beast stated, "If you are determined to raise him then he should be trained immediately and prove his-"

Ritsuka sighs, placing his hand on his forehead. "I don't want to hear it," He raised his voice to the Beast. "I'm not treating or raising my Son as a weapon, nor should you."

"But master-"

The Magus turns around facing the direction of his and Mashu's room. His Sapphire eyes turn back to gaze at the Beast, "I'm aware of the situation, Goetia. But for now, help that boy gain confidence and help me raise him to be a proper master."

Ritsuka left Beast I alone in the hallway, letting him think about this on his own.

Goetia sighs, walking back to his room. "Master, I hope you have that Boy prepared when the time comes." The Beast said to himself. "For the abandoned Son shall wreak havoc upon the arrogant World and call upon the Sixth for aid."

The next morning, Castoria retrieved Harry from his room to have breakfast in the cafeteria. Harry wore a collared button-down shirt; the collar was held by a double diamond pin. He has black shorts, white knee-high socks, and black shoes with the same double diamond buckles.

"Are you excited for today, Harry?" The blonde Caster asked the young master.

Harry looks at his attendant, "A-A bit, Caster." He answered the Lostbelt Servant. "I-I'm excited too but I'm nervous." He said, playing with his cereal.

Castoria blinks, not sure what he means. "Why are you nervous, Harry? I thought you would love learning from the Professor." She asked.

"I-I'm not too sure, what if the subject is hard and I fail?" Harry asked, thinking of the negative possibilities that might happen.

"I'm sure you won't fail, Harry. Master did those studies too with everyone, and he turn out great." Castoria ensures the young boy. "Just do your best, okay?"

Harry nodded, listening to the Child of Prophecy. "Okay, I'll try Caster."

"Hey there, Bud. Ready to meet with the Professor?" Ritsuka and Mashu approached their Son, seeing him finishing his cereal.

The young boy nodded, wanting to make his new Parents proud. "Um…yes, I-I'm ready Ritsuka, Miss Mashu." He answered, getting up from his chair.

Castoria waved at her charge, wishing him luck with his studies. "Good luck, Harry."

Harry waved at the Lostbelt Servant before leaving with his Parents.

The three went down the busy halls of the British Outpost to a double door. "Welcome Harry," Ritsuka steps forward, opening both doors revealing a large collection of books. "To the British Outpost's Library."

The young Boy's eyes sparkled from the many selections of books on the many shelves. Each one is labeled from different countries, such as Asia, Norway, Greece, Ireland, France, and many more.

Harry approached one of the shelves in the Japanese section, "The Tale of Genji," He read, finding it interesting before putting it back in its proper place.

"Do you like it, Harry-kun?" Mashu asked her Son.

"Yeah! There are so many books here!" Harry answered excitedly, looking around the collection.

"I'm glad to hear that, young master." Harry heard a young familiar voice; he looks to see a grey-haired man with purple eyeliner. He wore a simple shirt with a checked blue tie, a grey sweater, grey-brown dress pants, and black dress shoes.

He almost looks like a normal person if that were the case. Aside from the normal attire, he had a trench coat with golden ornaments at the end, a large T-square ruler, a map, and a few floating lanterns circling around him.

Ritsuka stood next to his Servant, motioning his hand to him. "Harry, this is Ruler or Professor M. He's somewhat related to the other Professor M who is to be your math teacher." He introduced the former Apostle of the Alien World. "He is one of the many tutors you will have when studying."

Moriarty inclined his head, taking a bow to the young master. "Greetings, young master. I am Ruler as your Father introduced; I'll be your History tutor." The young Crime Lord reintroduced himself before standing straight. "Our topics will surely interest you since I have gotten word that you like History." He eyes his master.

"Y-Yes, Professor," Harry answered shyly, getting used to the attention of people, especially a teacher.

Ritsuka walks up to Mashu, not before ruffling Harry's head, "We have to go out soon, I know you'll be good for the Professor," He smiles,

Mashu waved at their Son, walking beside her Husband. "We'll see you later, Harry-kun."

With that, both his new Parents left the library. The only people here are a violet-haired child with a little robot colonel floating beside her, a blue-haired boy talking to a man in a green coat, and him with the Professor.

Harry looks up at the Professor, curious about what he's going to learn. "Um, Professor, what are we going to start with?" He asked innocently.

"An excellent question, young master," Moriarty said, turning to the tables. "We'll start with the beginning, a time we Chaldeans call the Ages of Gods."

"Gods?" Harry blinks, curious why they're starting something religious.
