Snippet 43- Barry The Fairy
Timeline- Somewhere after 'Law & Order: Leanbox- Guilt Tripped'.
*Ultradimension- Planeptune Basilicom*
"Hey Mini-Histy, have you seen Peashy anywhere?" Plutia asked.
"Not since this morning," Histoire shook her head. "She just said she was going outside..."
"Well, I've been looking all over the city and I can't find her," Plutia said worryingly. "I mean, I know she's a CPU now, but that doesn't mean she won't get brainwashed by bad guys again..."
"Come to think of it, she's been heading out a lot lately," Mini-Histy mused. "And she always comes back dirty, but she's so happy, I can't bear to scold her more than the obligatory 'go take a bath'."
"Dirty...? So maybe she's playing out in the woods somewhere...?" Plutia pondered.
"Pea's back!" The object of their conversation abruptly ran in, her hair messed up and her shirt dotted with splotches of dirt here and there.
"Peashy, there you are! I was looking all over for you!" Plutia gently chastised. "Where did you go?!"
"Huh? Pea just went into the deep forest to play with my new friend!" Peashy raised up her cat paws. "Pea wasn't doing anything bad!"
"Peashy, not only did you worry us with your disappearance, you're a CPU now, and you have to help Plutia with her work, especially now that Neptune is back in her own dimension," Mini-Histy sighed. "Just who is this 'new friend' you've been playing with...?"
"A fairy! She's so much fun!" Peashy exclaimed. "I think her name's Barry or something..."
"A fairy? Like Mini-Histy?" Plutia said, nonplussed. "What does she look like?"
"She got blonde hair like Mini-Histy, but she wears black! And her eyes are different colors!" Peashy described. "Oh, and she's got some weird thingies on her head, too! They're kinda straight and pointy!"
"She wears black? Like that Badsty did?" Plutia said with a frown.
"But her eyes are different colors... in other words, she's heterochromatic," Histoire mused. "That doesn't sound like Croire at all..."
"No! Barry's not Badsty! She's completely different!" Peashy protested. "Pea can show you if you want!"
"Maybe tomorrow," Mini-Histy deferred. "In the meantime, young lady, it's the bath for you."
"Aww, not another bath!" Peashy whined.
"That's what happens when you get all dirty," Plutia shook her head with a smile, before taking Peashy by the hand. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up... I'll try not to get soap in your eyes this time, okay~?"
"Okaaaayyy..." Peashy moaned, letting herself be pulled along.
*And so, the next day...*
"D-do you go this far into the forest every time...?!" Plutia gasped as she tried to keep up with Peashy, who was none the worse for wear.
"C'mon, Ploot! Pea does this all the time!" the little CPU insisted. "And you got longer legs! If Pea can walk this far, so can you!"
"I'm not used to walking for this long...!" Plutia grunted. "Please tell me we're almost there...!"
"Just a little bit more!" Peashy replied, shoving through some brush into a small clearing. "Ta-da! Here we are!"
"This is where you meet her?" Plutia pondered as she looked around... this place didn't seem different from anywhere else in the forest to her.
"Yep, sure is!" Peashy nodded, before putting her hands to her mouth... "Baaaarrrrrryyyy! Where are yooooooou?! Pea's come to plaaaaaay!"
"What if she doesn't show up?" Plutia asked fairly.
"Well, she likes to play hide and seek sometimes..." Peashy responded. But then, she saw a flitter of wings behind a larger tree! "Ah-ha! Pea found you! Come on out, Barry!"
"I don't wanna!" spoke a voice somewhat deeper than would be expected for a pixie.
"Why not?!" Peashy pouted. "I brought Ploot here to meet you! You don't wanna see her...?!"
"B-but she's the CPU, right?!" the voice stammered. "W-what if she d-decides to torture me w-with whips and lightning...?!"
"Aww, I only do that when I transform! And only to people who deserve it!" Plutia insisted. "You're not one of 'em, okay?"
"Really...?" A head peeked out, showing long blonde hair and mismatched eyes... her left eye was red, while her right eye was sky blue in color.
"Really really!" Peashy agreed. "Now come on out!"
"W-well, okay..." The pixie flew out from behind the tree, revealed to we wearing a simple black dress and high heels with pantyhose, though her bust seemed a bit larger than average... Plutia then noticed that she also had two straight horns on her head, blue with thick black outlines, though there seemed to be small purple flames at the tips. "Um, hello, I'm Barry the Fairy. N-nice to meet you, Lady Plutia..."
"Nice to meet you too~!" Plutia said with a smile. "Well, you're definitely not Badsty, she's got darker skin then you!"
"Badsty? Um, never heard of her," Barry sweat-dropped. "I only know about Histoire at your Basilica... er, Basilicom."
"She was a bad fairy that caused us a lot of trouble," Plutia explained. "I just wanna make sure you're not a bad fairy like she was..."
"She's not bad! She's really nice, even when she grows big!" Peashy insisted.
"Grows big?!" Plutia's eyes shrank to white circles.
"Um, yeah, I can grow to big size," Barry admitted, averting her gaze. "But it makes me feel ugly, so I don't like to do it much... But when Peashy here transforms, I don't have much choice..."
"Huh? Why would you transform?" Plutia asked Peashy.
"Because it's so much fun to fight Barry when she's big!" Peashy exclaimed. "She's so strong, we end up tying most of the time!"
"You tie with Yellow Heart?!" Plutia gasped in disbelief.
"Well... yeah, but... I mean, it's not like we're trying to kill each other!" Barry insisted. "We're just having fun, that's all!"
"Yeah, she's not a bad guy, just really strong!" Peashy concurred. "Like one of those strong monsters we find in dungeons sometimes!"
"Hey, I'm no monster!" Barry moaned.
"...Okay, now I'm curious," Plutia said. "Can I see your big form, Miss Barry? Please~?"
"I, uh, I dunno if that's a good idea..." Barry stuttered, looking away.
"Well, I wanna make sure you're not a threat to my nation or Gamindustri, so..." Suddenly she was engulfed in a pillar of light, fading to reveal the dreaded Iris Heart, sword in hand. "Maybe this will motivate you, hmm~?"
"Oh, crud!" Barry squeaked, sweating a bit... "Dammit, I don't have a choice now...!" She gritted her teeth and clenched her fists at her sides... "Aaaaarrrrrr...!" Her body began to bulge a little bit, the fairy screaming as her bust and torso suddenly burst out into enormous size! She screamed in agony as one arm, then the other grew out painfully to match, her legs growing thick and muscular, lengthening until they touched the ground! Her head then grew to match the rest of her body, her blonde hair cascading down her back... She fell to a knee, panting with exertion. "There... this what you wanted...?" She stood back to her feet, towering over Iris Heart at about 190 cm tall.
"Y...you're humongous!" Some of Plutia's voice came through, so shocked was the CPU at Barry's hulking out. But she swiftly regained her composure, chuckling a little. "Well, now I see why you can give Peashy a run for her money... now I want to see how I'll fare..." The segments of her sword separated as she lashed it on the ground before her.
"Well, in that case..." Barry held out her right arm, black flames suddenly shooting out and forming into a burning blood-red sword. "I don't usually bring this out, but sword vs. sword is only fair, right?"
"...Peashy, you might want to back up," Iris Heart advised. "This might get a little too hot to handle..."
"Okay... just don't beat her up too bad, Ploot!" Peashy said as she backed up a ways.
"Like I'm just gonna let her do that!" Barry exclaimed, before abruptly charging in, Iris Heart barely parrying the slice in time! But then the fairy pushed, and Iris was sent careening backward into a tree, though she managed to keep her feet.
"Oh, my... making the first strike to catch me off-guard? Well, I won't fall for that again," Iris Heart asserted, materializing her processor wings and coming at Barry from the air! She easily parried the downward slash, but Iris broke off before the fairy could send her flying again! "Thunder!" she intoned, Barry screaming as she was zapped by a small lightning bolt, Iris Heart flying in and kicking her in the left breast, then in the face, causing her to stumble back a bit! But then red and black armor formed on Barry's left arm, the fairy sending out several chains from said gauntlet, catching the CPU and getting swung about and slammed into a tree! Iris Heart managed to break the chains with a slice of her sword, before intoning "Heal!", being enveloped in a green aura, her pain ebbing away as a result.
"Damn, you're tough!" Barry grunted, holding her sword in a defensive stance. "Most people would be down for the count after an impact like that!"
"Oh, I don't mind a little pain," Iris licked her lips suggestively. "The question is, do you?!" Her sword transformed to whip mode lashing out and hitting Barry a few times on her sword arm and legs, leaving red marks!
"Not worth mentioning!" Barry shot back defiantly, sending out her chains again, her opponent easily evading. But it was a feint, the fairy suddenly charging in with a speed that belied her massive frame, her sword clashing against the CPU's- but then she managed to nail Iris Heart with a kick to the gut, causing her to fall to the ground doubled over in apparent agony! "Hah, maybe you're not as tough as I thought!"
"Super Thunder!" Iris Heart called out, Barry screaming as a much more potent thunderbolt struck her down, falling to one knee from the pain! "See what happens when you get cocky?!" she mocked, following up with a Fighting Viper slash, then kicking the fairy onto her back! But Barry rolled backwards and came up on her feet, grinning as she went on the attack again, her sword clashing with the CPU's again and again, neither giving an inch! "Oh, are you finally getting serious~?"
"I've been serious!" Barry retorted, shoving Iris Heart away before sending out her chains from her left arm's gauntlet again, Iris flying up into the air to evade! But then Barry crouched and leapt high into the air, over taking the CPU and raising her sword above her head, Plutia barely spinning out of the way of the downward slash in time! The HDD CPU then came down with a flying kick, which was blocked by Barry's left arm, crying out in surprise and pain as she was suddenly set aflame!
"Ploot!" Peashy gasped in dismay as her fellow CPU was hit with the broad side of Barry's sword and sent tumbling away, still on fire! But Iris went into a roll that extinguished most of the flames, though a good amount of her hair was burnt off, smoke rising from her body...
"I don't like to use my flames 'cause I don't wanna cause a forest fire," Barry said as she hefted her sword on her shoulder, "but you being in midair solved that problem!"
"Hyper Heal," Iris Heart intoned, her burns disappearing and her hair being mostly repaired, the CPU then rising into the air as thunder clouds suddenly rolled in... "Congratulations, you've earned the honor of being subjected to my EXE Drive... THUNDER BLADE KICK!" Lightning flashed in the sky as she raised her sword high, before lightning struck the sword, Iris swinging it down, striking Barry the Fairy with a high-voltage thunderbolt, who cried out in agony as she fell to her knees! "And now, a little extra service!" Iris Heart exclaimed as she floated down, blowing a kiss which summoned an energy ring that blasted her opponent with four lasers, knocking her flat and sending her sword flying out of reach!
"Ploot, stop!" Peashy wailed as she ran up to the dominatrix. "That's enough! Barry's done, okay?!"
"I wouldn't have done that if I thought she couldn't take it," Plutia replied succinctly. Sure enough, Barry began to slowly sit up, though pain was clearly evident on her face, propping herself on her elbows...
"Enough... enough. I yield," Barry grunted, panting heavily. "Think we got... a little too... carried away there..."
"Are you okay?!" Peashy cried as she ran up to her friend. "Ploot, you should heal her!"
"So, you're not going to try anything funny with Peashy or my citizen's nations, is that right?" Iris stated as she walked up to her fallen foe.
"I wasn't... gonna do that anyway!" Barry insisted. "I swear...!"
"Well, now you know what'll happen if you try... Heal." A green aura came over the giant fairy who sighed in relief as some of the pain vanished. "It's clear that you were holding back with Peashy here..."
"I wasn't holding back! I just wasn't using any weapons, that's all!" Barry countered as she sat up. "Just because I'm a big bruiser doesn't mean I don't fight fair!"
"Yeah, we just fight for fun!" Peashy piled on.
"Yes, Peashy, you've got your point across," Iris Heart sighed, before reverting to normal. "Aaaaanyway... I'm gonna take a nap before we go back to Mini-Histy... night." With that, she curled up with her Neptune plushie and fell asleep almost instantly.
"Uh..." Barry couldn't help but sweat-drop. "Is she like this all the time when she isn't transformed?"
"Yeah, Mini-Histy sometimes has to try and wake her up," Peashy nodded. "I jump on her sometimes to get her up, too..."
"And she doesn't transform on you when you do that?" Barry said in disbelief.
"Nuh-uh, she just complains a bit," Peashy shook her head. "Anyway, I'm gonna take Ploot home now, kay~?" So she transformed to HDD, picking up the sleeping CPU in her arms. "Let's play again sometime, Barry! Bye!"
"Bye, Peashy!" Barry gave a slow wave as Yellow Heart flew off before grimacing as she put her hand to her back. "Oh, yeah, I'm gonna be feeling that beating for a few days..." She stumbled off, looking for where her sword had fallen...

A/N: So, Barry is obviously based off Fairy Knight Gawain/Barghest from Fate/Grand Order... Whether she makes any future appearances, however, is kinda up in the air for now.
