Clara with Michael and Evan in tow made their way out of the mansion and onto a mountain road in a personal vehicle that belonged to one of the guards, they managed to steal, a 2035 Ford Explorer SUV. Clara managed to steal a cell phone off one of the guards and Clara used it to contact Faux Chica. They were all dressed in winter wear they managed to find once they were out of the lab and in the ground floor of the Afton mansion that was once their home decades ago. It took time to retrieve Michael and evade guards in the underground facility that started life as Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental. With direction from Faux Chica, they managed to retrieve Evan from his room in the mansion on the 2nd floor. Michael managed to hack into the camera's of the facility and make it play the same footage over and over again on loop to keep any more security checks at bay. Clara caused a fire to break out in some of the labs providing a good distraction as well. This bought them time to evade less guards than there already was looking for Clara, and made it easier to sneak around the facility and then the mansion. The Faux Glamrocks were not onsite in the mansion, where they normally live, so it made it easy to escape once they were out of the basement labs and into the house.
The playback loop and the fires Clara set, should buy them a couple of hours to get farther away from William before he sends people from his cult, like his own guards, to hunt them down and seek them out.
Clara was driving the 2035 Ford Explorer SUV, with Michael in the passenger seat next to her, and Evan in the back.
"Glad you guys made it out of there. But your not out of the woods yet…Will has all of us stationed in the city so he can keep a close eye on the OAOS and FBI, and to intervene if they meddle in his affairs. Right now…I'm laying low with an old friend….Probably the only friend I have left from my former life. If we can meet up, I can take you in and keep you safe until we come up with a plan. I know there's a lot in 2035 that has changed and you'll need someone to get you up to speed, well, I'm your girl." Faux Chica said on the phone.
"Why are you helping us?" Clara asked.
"Because I'm not like the others….I still remember who I was when I was human. Who I still am. I haven't seen my family since I was brought back in this body. Between all the time I spent getting to know Evan and the rest of you, when William is not around….you guys are starting to feel like another family to me and I'm tired of seeing William treat all of you, the way he does. You all deserve so much better. The fact you were brought back to life, means you get a second chance, one without William in your life and I want to help you with that." Faux Chica said.
"….Will is not the husband I met all those years ago, he's something different now." Clara said.
"He's a monster now Clara, the William you married all those years ago is gone. Nothing but a memory. I know after the incident…he was never the same. Sure there might be bits and pieces of him in there, but most of that side of him is gone. He just sees everyone as ether an experiment to work on or someone he can use to get closer to his egotistical goals. It's just like my friends…the others….whatever parts of their humanity they once had is….just gone. I was one of the lucky ones, I often have to play along so I don't get scrapped. Anyway…there's this place called Jeb's Bounce Bar…it's an interesting establishment an old friend of mine owns, but he is letting me stay at the apartment behind it. I'll give you the address and I can keep you all safe for now. The others don't know where I am at, but I know exactly where they are. Once William realized none of you are at the facility or mansion anymore, my friends will be the first people he calls, but you'll be safe as long as I can help you all lay low." Faux Chica explained.
"Okay…send me the address to this phone. I'll see you soon. And….thank you Chica…" Clara said.
