Chapter 18: Unleashing Hidden Strength
Ryuu and Whis, along with Goku, Goki, Vegeta, and Vegeena, all arrived on Planet Yadrat. They are immediately taken to Pybara, the elder and leader of Yadratians.
"Goku! Goki! Vegeta! Vegeena! It's so good to see you all again!" Pybara said happily.
"Same here, Pybara! Long time no see!" Goku said.
"We came here for a Request, Pybara." Vegeta said.
"Well, What is it?" He asked.
"We want you to teach Ryuu here, Spirit Control and teach him your techniques." Vegeta said. "Ryuu here, is a natural born prodigy as he has already surpassed in terms of power and abilities. However, I believe he should become much stronger and to project his own power a lot better than before."
"I see! Well Vegeta, I'm honored that you came all the way here to tell me this." Pybara said cheerfully. "I'll be more than happy to teach this fellow about our Spirit Control as well as our other techniques!".
"E-Excuse me..." Ryuu interrupted.
"Yes? What is it?" He asked.
"What's wrong, Ryuu?" Vegeta asked him.
"All I've been hearing is how Spirit Control can make me stronger but I don't know what it really is..." Ryuu said before asking; "What is this 'Spirit Control'?".
"Well, Ryuu, Spirit Control is an advanced Ki manipulation technique. Spirit Control allows its user to achieve a multitude of potent abilities through their ki, including Instant Transmission, Cloning, Gigantification, Healing, and Forced Spirit Fission. These abilities achieved through Spirit Control are used by shifting, splitting and growing the user's spirit." Pybara explains. "Achieving good Spirit Control allows the user to sense ki from a much greater distance and utilize their energy to attack much more efficiently, though at first this newfound ability to use their ki properly causes the power to be somewhat uncontrollable; this was demonstrated by Vegeta and Vegeena who tried to use a simple finger beam but ended up firing off a powerful energy wave a long time ago when they were training to beat Moro."
"I-I see. No wonder Goku, Goki, Vegeta, and Vegeena are so good at using their energy..." Ryuu said as he looks at them.
"Everyone on Yadrat can do these things." Pybara then said.
"I see. Well then, please teach me this so-called Spirit Control." Ryuu said.
Goku, Goki, Vegeta, and Vegeena then began to walk away with a smile on their faces.
"Wait! You guys are leaving already?" Ryuu asked them.
"Our plan was to help you get here so you can learn Spirit Control like us." Vegeta said. "Now that Pybara has accepted to train you, we'll be going back to Beerus's Planet to continue our training. We won't be left in the dust by you, Ryuuji Hitoshi."
Ryuu smirks. "I'll be looking forward to how you can catch up to me, Vegeta."
Vegeta smirks before leaving with Goku, Goki, and Vegeena. The four Saiyans left with Whis, back to Beerus's Planet for training as Pybara immediately changed Ryuu's casual clothing to their usual outfit.
"What's this?" Ryuu asked.
"If you want to learn Spirit Control, I suggest you wear our style of clothing." Pybara said. "Let's start your training, shall we?".
- One Hour Later-
Ryuu starts off his Spirit Control on Yadrat as they are making him balance himself on a spiked pillar. Ryuu concentrates on keeping his mind and body.
Ryuu opens his right eye and asks Pybara; "Hey... How many days will you have me do this for?".
"Your spirit was just as less stabile as Goki and Goku was." Pybara said. "You must first achieve balance in your mind and body."
"D-Damn it... Whatever." Ryuu said as he goes back to concentrating.
Ryuu goes back to meditating on the Spiked pillar as a Yadratian is jumping around effortlessly on the spiked pillars. Ryuu continues to concentrate despite the distraction the little Yadratian is causing. As Ryuu meditates on the spiked pillar, his mind races with thoughts of his past failures and doubts about his ability to master Spirit Control. He feels his body trembling with the effort of maintaining his balance, and his muscles ache with the strain. But he refuses to give up, gritting his teeth and focusing all his energy on achieving the elusive state of mind-body balance that Pybara speaks of. Meanwhile, the Yadratian continues to jump around effortlessly, his movements graceful and fluid. Ryuu can feel a twinge of jealousy and frustration at the sight, but he pushes those feelings aside and redoubles his efforts. He tunes out the Yadratian's movements and immerses himself fully in his own meditation, determined to succeed no matter how long it takes.
As time passes, Ryuu's concentration deepens and he starts to feel more at ease. His mind becomes clear and his body feels lighter, as if he is floating in the air. He no longer feels the discomfort of the spikes beneath him, but rather a sense of peace and tranquility. Pybara notices Ryuu's progress and nods in approval.
"Good, you are making progress," he says. "But don't let your guard down. Your mind and body must be in perfect harmony if you want to master Spirit Control."
Ryuu nods and continues to meditate, focusing on his breathing and the flow of energy within his body. He feels as though he is tapping into a new source of power, one that he never knew existed before. The more he concentrates, the stronger he feels, and the more he believes that he can truly become a master of Spirit Control. As the day draws to a close, Pybara finally calls an end to the training session. Ryuu stands up from the spiked pillar, feeling a bit stiff from being in the same position for so long. However, he is also filled with a sense of accomplishment and determination to continue his training.
"Good work today, Ryuu," Pybara says, patting him on the back. "But remember, this is only the beginning. You have a long way to go before you can call yourself a true master of Spirit Control."
Ryuu nods, knowing that the road ahead will not be easy, but he is ready to face the challenge. He looks out at the beautiful landscape of Yadrat, feeling grateful for the opportunity to train in such a serene and peaceful environment. He takes a deep breath, feeling more alive and focused than ever before, and knows that he is on the right path towards mastering the ancient art of Spirit Control. Pybara takes Ryuu to a dinner feast as the two and all the other Yadratians began to eat til their fill. After dinner and everyone heads inside, it is nighttime as Ryuu gets away from the city and starts to power up. Ryuu transforms into his SSJ4 Form and continues to power up. He powers up tremendously before he then awakens himself into his Super Saiyan 4 Limit-Break Form. Ryuu goes back to powering up until he unleashes his Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit-Breaker Form. After this achievement, Ryuu powers down to his base form and goes to his room, knowing without the fact that Pybara watched Ryuu push through his Primal Saiyan Power limits with a smile on his face, showing his respect towards Ryuu's determination to become stronger.
The Next Day
The next morning, Ryuu is back to meditating on the Spiked Pillar as Pybara watches him. He sees and senses Ryuu's spirit growing and growing the more he meditates. He already knew that Ryuu's spirit was completely balanced with his body and mind, but he kept it a secret to Ryuu to see how far Ryuu can grow while continuing to do so. For hours without any breaks, Ryuu has grown a lot more powerful by meditating on the spiked pillar. Pybara smiles at Ryuu's Progress and gets his attention by saying; "I believe it's time for your next level of training, Ryuu!".
Ryuu opens his eyes and stands up straight on the spiked pillar. "What is it, Pybara?".
"You have completed the first level of your Spirit Control training and now it's time for the next level." He said before pointing to the spiked pillar and continuing. "I now want you to try and run around on the spiked pillars for as long as possible until we call it a day."
"You want me to do what?!" Ryuu questioned in surprise.
"You must balance yourself while running on the spiked pillars. You already completed your mental training but now is time for you to start your physical training despite the fact we Yadratians are not really powerful physically."
"Alright, I'll take you on your challenge!" Ryuu said. "Let's get started! Hi-yah!".
Ryuu starts to walk on the Spiked Pillars slowly before beginning to start walking on the pillars faster. Once he got used to walking on the Spiked pillars faster, he began to run on the Spiked pillars. Ryuu runs on the Spiked pillars carefully as Pybara watches him. Ryuu smiles and chuckles confidently until he trips and falls on the spiked pillars, breaking several of them in the process. After that, Ryuu pushes himself up and continues to try and run on the spiked pillars. Ryuu ends up making the same mistake of tripping and falling on the spiked pillars, breaking several of them as he falls onto them. Ryuu was left rather beaten up in bruises and scratches from his falls as he struggles to jump down slowly until he lands on the ground.
Ryuu breaths heavily as Pybara says; "Mm. Wonderful Spirit Power. Your Spirit is now more polished than Goku, Goki, Vegeta, and Vegeena's and you managed it in no time."
"O-Of Course... We may be Saiyans but we were not cut from the same cloth..." Ryuu stuttered.
"Now, to begin teaching you our abilities." Pybara said.
"A-At Last..." Ryuu stuttered.
Ryuu struggles to stand up before Pybara heals Ryuu back to full strength. This surprises Ryuu.
"Was that... A Healing technique?" Ryuu questioned in surprise.
"It's one of Elder Pybara's signature moves. Pretty great, huh?" The little Yadratian said.
"And I can learn to perform such a move?" Ryuu asked.
"Ha ha ha, Don't get ahead of yourself." Pybara said with a laugh. "That's High-Level stuff, and you're not quite there yet."
"Alright... What can I do at this point then?" Ryuu asked.
"First, the most fundamental basics... I will teach you Instant Transmission." Pybara said.
"Instant Transmission is only the basics?" Ryuu asked.
Pybara was about to respond until they hear and noticed an explosion happening in the city.
"What the--?" Ryuu questioned.
"I-I'm sensing wicked spirits on our planet!!" The little Yadratian said in surprise.
"Yikes... We've got some unpleasant guests..." Pybara said.
"Wait a minute... I know these evil energy signatures!!... These are... The No-Names!!" Ryuu said in surprise before having a serious facial expression. "I need to go!".
"Wait, Ryuu." Pybara stops Ryuu.
"What is it?".
"You're still in training. Be mindful of how you wield that power, ok?" Pybara said.
Ryuu was confused until he saw another explosion. Ryuu flew towards the city and lands safely on the ground. Ryuu sees the No-Names attacking the Yadratians and blasting down the buildings. Ryuu becomes irritated and points out his index finger. Ryuu tries to form a finger beam but ends up shooting out a Full Power Energy Wave on the tip of his index finger on accident, making him become surprised. The energy wave destroys several no names with ease while it got the other no names attention towards Ryuu.
"What was that...?" Ryuu questioned in surprise and confusion.
Pybara and the little Yadratian teleports behind Ryuu and says; "Knock that off! Don't go wrecking our planet!".
"Good thing nobody actually lives in this city but still." The little Yadratian said.
"Care to explain?" Ryuu asked.
"You just witnessed your own nascent power." Pybara explained.
"What?" Ryuu questioned.
"Before your training here, your body and spirit were so off-balance but controlled. However, you still weren't able to project your own power very well." Pybara said.
"Meaning I've been really growing stronger since I arrived…?" Ryuu wondered aloud.
"Sure have. By leaps and bounds." Pybara said. "Like I said, you gotta be mindful of that power."
"R-Right..." Ryuu said, still with a surprised facial expression.
Ryuu becomes serious and turns around as he looks at the No-Names. The No-Names dashed towards him but he sent them flying with a backhanded punch. The No-Names got back up and dashed towards him. The three began to exchange blows as they were on equal footing. Ryuu smirks as he then sent the No-Names flying with punches to their faces. The No-Names got back up and merged together, becoming a new evil entity.
"Now you're done for!" It said. "Why don't you try us now? I'll spare Lord Jaakuna the trouble of getting rid of you by making you suffer!".
Ryuu instantly dashes towards the Fused No-Name and sent it flying with a backhanded punch to its right cheek.
"Try you? I believe I just did." Ryuu said in confidence. "I'm sorry. I didn't quite catch that. Who exactly will you be getting rid of?".
The Fused No-Name got back up and dashed towards Ryuu. Ryuu and the Fused No-Name exchanged blows with incredible speed until Ryuu sent it flying with an Axe-Kick. The Fused No-Name slid back on the ground, it picks up the building next to it, and threw it at Ryuu. Ryuu pushed the building away with just a gentle and simple push.
"You're no match for me now." Ryuu said. "So stop it. This is futile."
The Fused No-Name picks up another building and hardens it with energy as it says; "Not a chance...".
"He's pumped it full of energy to harden it." Pybara said.
The Fused No-Name hurled the hardened building at Ryuu, but he calmly kicked it back with ease. The monstrous creature caught the structure with its hands before tossing it high in the air. Before it could make another move, Ryuu struck with a powerful Right Hook Sidekick, gutting it. The Fused No-Name hurtled backward and crashed through two buildings after Ryuu followed up with a backward Round-house kick.
"Whoa!" exclaimed the little Yadratian in surprise.
"I told him not to wreck the place," Pybara commented, watching the destruction.
The Fused No-Name recovered quickly and charged toward Ryuu with fury. It threw a punch at him, but Ryuu evaded the attack and unleashed a devastating Point-Blank Full Power Energy Wave, obliterating the creature instantly. Turning to Pybara, Ryuu grinned.
"Sorry about the damage, Pybara. Can we get back to training?" he asked.
Pybara smiled in response. "Your apology has been accepted. Of course, let's resume our training."
Ryuu, the little Yadratian, and Pybara headed back to the training grounds, where Pybara began teaching Ryuu new techniques.
As they arrived at the training grounds, Pybara began to explain a new technique to Ryuu. He demonstrated the movements and carefully guided Ryuu through the motions. Ryuu listened intently, watching Pybara's every move and trying to replicate them. It was challenging, but Ryuu was determined to master the technique. As they continued their training, Ryuu's skill and control gradually improved. In a short amount of time, Ryuu managed to learn the Gigantification, Instant Transmission, Cloning, Healing, and even Forced Spirit Fission. Pybara nodded in approval, impressed by Ryuu's progress.
"Excellent work, Ryuu. You're a fast learner," Pybara complimented him.
Ryuu smiled, feeling proud of his achievement. "Thanks, Pybara. I couldn't have done it without your guidance."
With Pybara's continued instruction and encouragement, Ryuu knew he was on the path to becoming a powerful martial artist. Ryuu has been training effortlessly with Pybara until it was time for Ryuu to leave... Pybara and the Yadratians went to go see Ryuu off.
"Thanks for everything you've done for me, Pybara!" Ryuu said cheerfully as he waved at him. "I'll come back and train here while I visit you guys!"
"You're welcome to come here anytime!" Pybara said.
Whis arrived on Planet Yadrat and sees Ryuu. Whis catches interest in Ryuu's improvement of training on Yadrat.
"Are you ready to go?" He asked Ryuu with a smile.
"Yeah." Ryuu said as he nodded his head.
"Let's be on our way then." Whis said.
Whis and Ryuu left Planet Yadrat and headed back to Beerus's Planet. Ryuu and Whis landed on Beerus's Planet as Ryuu notices The four Saiyans training together. Goku and Vegeta are sparring as Vegeena is taking a water break. Ryuu looked left to right to see where Goki was until Goki suddenly appeared behind Ryuu and bear hugged him. Ryuu turns his head and sees Goki hugging him from behind.
"Ah! Goki!" Ryuu said in surprise.
"Hi, Ryuu~ Did you miss me?" Goki asked him with a smile on her face.
Goki lets go of Ryuu as he turns around and hugs her as her boobs began pressing against his chest. Ryuu was smiling and had his eyes closed as he was enjoying the hug he was giving her. Ryuu opens his eyes and lets go of Goki who then kisses him on the cheek.
"Of course I missed you." He replied. "Did you, Goku, Vegeta, and Vegeena manage to get stronger when I was away?
Goki nods her head. "Uh-huh! We've gotten a lot stronger after you left!"
"Really?" Ryuu questioned with a smile. "Well, I'm glad. I wouldn't have it any other way than to have you guys as my rivals as well."
"Aww. That's sweet of you, baby~ But remember, Me and Vegeena are also your lovers~" Goki said seductively while grabbing ahold of Ryuu's Right arm.
Ryuu chuckled nervously. "Right. Don't worry, I didn't forget."
Goki giggles and then they kiss each other. Ryuu and Whis then walk towards the others in plain sight as the three Saiyans are resting. The three Saiyans noticed Ryuu and Whis walking towards them as Goki is holding on tightly to Ryuu's right arm.
"Ryuu!" They shouted out in surprise and excitement as they ran towards him.
They all hugged him in joy before they all let go of him.
"You came back! So that means you completed your Spirit Control Training!" Goku said in joy.
"Yep! And I'm now able to use a stronger transformation beyond my Super Saiyan 4 Form!" Ryuu said. "And thanks to that, I'm a lot stronger than you guys."
"Oh yeah?!" Goku said with a grin.
Ryuu smirks as Goku continues to grin at him.
"So what now, Ryuu?" Vegeta asked him.
"Well, I plan to go back to Conton City so the Old Kai can awaken my potential." Ryuu said.
"What did you just say?!" Everyone said in surprise.
"So that's what you were thinking. No wonder I was feeling you something coming from you." Whis said calmly with a smile.
"You just got back... Are you sure you want to leave so soon?" Vegeena asked him.
"Well, if you're so worried about me, why don't you just come with me?" Ryuu said with a smile.
Vegeena's eyes widened before she smiled and blushed as she said; "You really know how to win my heart, Ryuu...".
Vegeta smirks as he thought; "Ryuuji Hitoshi, you are indeed an interesting man. Even though you just completed your Spirit Control training, you still seem to want to get stronger no matter what... Even if that means you gain the same power up like Gohan and Gohani. You would never stop wanting to become stronger! You are a True Saiyan Warrior! And I wouldn't be surprised if you were to become the True Saiyan God, Ryuuji Hitoshi! ".
"Well then, even though we just got here... Shall we take part now?" Whis asked.
Everyone nods his head as Ryuu says; "Yeah. Let's go, Whis."
"Very well then." Whis replied.
Whis and the Five Saiyans left Beerus's Planet and headed to Conton City. Within an hour, Whis and the Five Saiyans landed in Conton City as all the Time Patrollers noticed their arrival. All the Time Patrollers noticed Ryuu and ran towards him in joy as they began to cheer out his name.
"Ryuu! Ryuu! Ryuu! Ryuu!" The Time Patrollers chanted.
"Wh-What's up with you guys?" Ryuu said calmly with a smile. "I appreciate you guys cheering for me but I didn't do anything at all to earn it."
"That's where you are wrong, you earned their respect and their admiration due to saving one of their comrades as well as becoming an Equal of a God of Destruction." Whis said. "But never mind me, don't you have to go to someone?".
"Oh yeah! I already almost forgot!" Ryuu said to Whis before he began to fly away from everyone.
Ryuu flew towards the entrance of the Time Nest and right as he lands safely in front of the entrance, he sees Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time, come out of the Time Nest. She comes out reading a scroll. She looks up and her eyes widens as she sees Ryuu.
Chronoa drops the scroll and smiles widely before she ran and gave Ryuu a hug while kissing him.
Chronoa lets go of Ryuu and says to him; "Ryuu! What a surprise to see you! I wasn't expecting to see you until next week! What're you doing here?!".
"I wanted to see you again, but I also came here to see the old Kai." Ryuu said.
"The Old Kai?! What do you want with that old Pervert?!" Chronoa asked him.
"I want him to awaken my Latent Potential." Ryuu answered.
"Y-Your Latent Potential?!" Chronoa questioned in surprise.
"Yep, that's right. I want the Old Kai to unlock my Latent Potential so I can become stronger!" Ryuu said.
Chronoa smiles and sighs. "Of course you would do such a thing."
She kisses him on his right cheek before she said to him; "Well, go and see the Old Kai. I bet he would be pleased to unlock your hidden potential."
"Thanks Babe." Ryuu said to her as he kissed her on the cheek.
Ryuu walks inside the Time Nest and sees the Old Kai staring at his own reflection in the lake. Old Kai turns his head and sees Ryuu walking towards him.
"My, my. If it isn't Ryuuji Hitoshi, the great divine warrior from another world." The Old Kai said with a smile as he turned his body to face Ryuu. "Tell me, young one. Why are you here?"
"I'm here to see you, Old Man." Ryuu said.
"Oh really? And what is your reason you came to see me for?" He asked Ryuu as the Old Kai thought; "I had my doubts about you before and I still do. Show me your true colors and your true intentions..."
"I need you to unlock my hidden potential with that unique power of yours. I know you can do it." Ryuu said with a serious facial expression. "I need your help to awaken my hidden potential so I can use it in combat. I need to use my body's full potential without the use of transforming. I need to use my body's full potential so I can use it to protect everyone I care about!".
The Old Kai looks deep into Ryuu's eyes as he sees how Ryuu is being truthful.
The Old Kai sighs. "Very Well. Let's get this done and over with, shall we? Go and stand in the middle of the walkway."
"Yes sir." Ryuu replied.
Ryuu walks to the middle of the walkway and stood tall. The Old Kai then began to dance around Ryuu in a 360 degree circle.
"DUM- DEE- DUM~ HM- HM- HMMM~ DUM- DUM- DUM~ Hey, Hey! DA- DA- DUMM~ HM- HM- HMMM~ Go! Go!".
"Umm... What're you doing?..." Ryuu asked him in confusion.
"Quiet!! This is an essential ritual!!" The Old Kai shouted before he continued to chant; "DM- DEE- DMM~ HAH! Oh yeah! DEE- DEE- DUM~ HMM- MMM~".
"How... Long will this take?" Ryuu asked.
"Five Hours for the Ritual... 20 Hours for the Power Up!!" The Old Kai shouted.
"It takes a whole day!?" Ryuu questioned in surprise.
The Old Kai continues to chant as he danced around Ryuu.
"This... Is going to be rough..." Ryuu said to himself.
10 Hours Later.
Ryuu and the Old Kai are sitting down in front of each other as the hands of the Old Kai stood out towards Ryuu. Ryuu tries to meditate but right as he always opens his eyes, he sees the Old Kai sleeping. This makes Ryuu irritated as Ryuu somehow pulls out a wooden katana and hits the Old Kai on the Head.
"Ouch!! Hey!! What was that for!?" The Old Kai shouted out at him after he woke up.
"That's because I see you sleeping!!" Ryuu yelled at him.
"D-Don't be absurd! Maybe to the Mortal Eyes you believe I was asleep but only the Lords of Lords know the truth!" The Old Kai said. "No time for Idle chatter! We must keep going!".
"Grrr..." Ryuu growled as he stared at the Old Kai.
10 More Hours Later.
"Okay. I'm done now." The Old Kai suddenly said.
"Wh-What?!" Ryuu said in surprise.
Ryuu then stands up onto his feet. "Okay... Now what? How do I use the Power Up now?".
"You can turn into a Super Saiyan, can't you?" The Old Kai asked. "Fire it up like that."
"Okay. Just like turning into a Super Saiyan... I can do that..." Ryuu said to himself as he then begins to power up. "HAH!!!".
Ryuu unleashed a explosive pressure of power as it sent the Old Kai flying into the Time Nest.
The Old Kai was unscratched as he stood back up as he yelled at Ryuu; "I didn't mean right next to me, you fool!!".
"Th-This Power... It's incredible...!!" Ryuu said to himself in awe.
"Well? Care to try that on us then?!" A familiar voice said.
Ryuu turned around and saw Goku and Vegeta standing in the front of the entrance.
"Goku... Vegeta..." Ryuu said calmly with a smile.
"Come On, Ryuu! Let's see who's stronger!" Vegeta said with a smirk. "Let's see who's stronger, Our divine forms or your Potential Unleashed Form!".
