Chapter 19: Ryuu's Potential Unleashed!! Ryuu Versus Goku and Vegeta!
Goku and Vegeta took Ryuu to the Wastelands as the three of them began to stretch. The Old Kai, Chronoa, Whis, Goki, Vegeena, and the Time Patrollers chose to be spectators as the three Saiyans, Goku, Vegeta, and Ryuu continued to stretch. After just awakening his Latent Potential, Ryuu felt a surge of power coursing through his body, a power similar to his Limit Burst Form... He could feel his muscles bulging and his Ki was increasing exponentially as he was preparing himself to face off against the two of the strongest fighters in Universe 7.
Goku and Vegeta stood in front of Ryuu, their faces stern and determined. They knew that Ryuu wasn't no ordinary opponent, and they were ready to give it their all in their fight against Ryuu. Ryuu could see the imitating aura emanating from Goku and Vegeta. The three Saiyans smirks in excitement as they continue to stare at each other.
"I won't be holding back against you two." Ryuu said with a steady and determined voice.
"Then why don't you go ahead and try us?" Vegeta said calmly with a steady voice.
"We'll get to see if you're going to be able to catch up to us now after awakening your hidden power!" Goku said with his voice calm and collected.
"Bring it on then! I'll take all of your attacks head-on with no problems whatsoever!" Ryuu said in confidence.
The Three Saiyans took a stance while facing each other as Ryuu noticed a yellow-like Aura emitting from their bodies. Ryuu could sense how the aura is divine ki leaking out of their bodies. Goku transforms into his Mastered Ultra Instinct Form as Vegeta transforms into his Ultra Ego Form. Goku and Vegeta dashed towards Ryuu as Ryuu closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Time slowed down all around Ryuu as Ryuu then opened his eyes and transformed into his Potential Unleashed Form.
When Ryuu accesses his Potential Unleashed state, his appearance does not undergo any drastic changes. While he essentially remains normal in appearance, his facial features become slightly more defined. His eyes become sterner and outlined, showing noticeable intensity when serious, similar to his Super Saiyan forms. it is shown that this form straightens hair upwards like a Super Saiyan as Ryuu's hair stands up despite Gohan wearing his hair down in his base form. In this form, he is dubbed (Full Power Base Form) Ryuu.
this transformation also gives the Ryuu a vivid white aura, as well as a noticeable white glow off of their body. Time resumes as Ryuu exhales. Ryuu blocks Goku and Vegeta's attack the moment they threw them at him. Goku threw a kick at Ryuu as he dodged it by simply leaning down and Vegeta threw a punch at Ryuu as he dodged it by simply leaning up. Goku dashed towards Ryuu and they began to exchange blows until Vegeta interrupted them as he threw a double axe handle down at Ryuu.
Ryuu dodged the attack by jumping up into the air. Goku appeared in front of Ryuu and they began to exchange blows in midair, Vegeta turns his head and flew up towards the two. Goku and Vegeta began to team up against Ryuu as they began to overpower him. Ryuu catches one of Vegeta's punches as Ryuu makes it Slam against Vegeta's head, making Vegeta go flying back. Ryuu then kicks Goku away before they both landed safely on the ground. Goku and Vegeta dashed towards Ryuu and pushed him back with a Tandem Flying Kick. Goku and Vegeta chased after Ryuu and began to push him back further with their tandem attacks.
Ryuu lands on the ground safely and fires off a Full Power Energy Wave with both hands at the two. Goku and Vegeta dodged it by jumping above the energy wave as they were forming their own energy waves into their hands. Goku fires off a Kamehameha Wave at Ryuu as Vegeta fires off a Galick Gun Wave at Ryuu. Ryuu dodges them as he teleports behind the two and knocks Vegeta down with an Axe Kick. Goku and Ryuu began to exchange blows on equal footing before Ryuu then kicks Goku in the stomach and slams him down onto the ground.
"Move Aside, Kakarot!!" Vegeta shouted out as he formed a large ball of Hakai energy. "This is a God of Destruction Move! One capable of erasing mere mortals like yourself!!"
"Try standing up to this!! Hrah!!!" Vegeta shouted out as he tossed the Ball of Destruction towards Ryuu.
Goku teleported away as Ryuu tries to stop the Ball of Destruction with One Hand. Ryuu and Vegeta began to struggle against each other as Goku teleported next to Vegeta and began to help him out as they both pushed the Ball of Destruction further, making Ryuu struggle more against the attack.
"RAAAHHH!!" Ryuu shouted out as he struggled to keep his ground against the Ball of Destruction.
"Man... They are really giving Ryuu a hard time... I haven't seen Ryuu struggle like this before..." Chronoa said in worry of Ryuu.
"Indeed. Goku and Vegeta seems to have gotten stronger while Ryuu was training with me and on Planet Yadrat. How impressive of how strong the three of them have grown." Whis said in interest as he stares at the three Saiyans.
Ryuu clenches his teeth as he then pushed the Ball of Destruction back towards Goku and Vegeta.
"W-We're getting pushed back!" Goku said as he was still trying to push the Ball of Destruction back.
"Dammit!!" Vegeta cried out as he was still trying to push the Ball of Destruction back.
"It's no use!!" Goku cried as they struggled to keep pushing the Ball of Destruction back.
Vegeta jumps above his Ball of Destruction, leaving Goku to struggle against it.
"Vegeta?! C'mon!!" Goku cried as he watched Vegeta leave.
Goku struggles against the Ball of Destruction as he began to get pushed back from it. Vegeta dashed towards Ryuu and throws a punch at him but Ryuu quickly counters back with a Mid-Kick to Vegeta's stomach. Ryuu grabs Vegeta's forehead and began to gut punch Vegeta repeatedly before Ryuu then knocks Vegeta away with a punch.
Goku continues to struggle against the Ball of Destruction as he was being pushed back from the Ball of Destruction. Goku was still being pushed back by the Ball of Destruction before he then threw the Ball of Destruction into the air.
"Ah! Vegeta!" Goku cried out in worry before he teleported to him. "Vegeta!!".
Goku sees Vegeta pushing back Ryuu with a punch to his left cheek, leaving a small bruise on it.
"You've been underestimating us, Ryuu! For my Ultra Ego Form, Damage is nothing but Fuel for me!" Vegeta said with a smirk of confidence. "Do you realize what that means?! I'm only getting stronger, Ryuu!"
"What did you just say?!" Ryuu questioned.
"Damage is nothing but Fuel to keep me engaged in this battle! Which, for you, presents quite the dilemma." Vegeta said. "What now? Would you like to make me even stronger?".
"He's right though... His Transformation is similar to my Destructive Drive Technique which allows me to grow stronger the more I take damage and the more I let my bloodlust for battle take over..." Ryuu thought calmly. "But let's see if it's actually just like my Destructive Drive Technique... Let's see if you keep on handling my attacks, Vegeta!".
Ryuu dashed towards Vegeta, Ryuu lands a gut punch, Ryuu Axe-Kicks Vegeta into the air, he chased after him as he appeared above Vegeta, Ryuu knocks Vegeta down with a Double Axe Handle, and right as Vegeta landed on the ground safely, Ryuu instantly knees Vegeta on his back, making Vegeta go face-flat into the ground. Vegeta coughs up saliva before Ryuu stood back up. Vegeta quickly gets up and gut punches Ryuu.
Vegeta smirks. "Thanks for the Prime Fuel...".
Ryuu smirks. "Then why don't you take on some more?".
Ryuu lands several punches on Vegeta before pushing him back with a roundhouse kick. Ryuu chased after Vegeta and lands a barrage of kicks on Vegeta before pushing him back a punch full-forced.
Vegeta stands up tall and smirks. "Gah... Yes, with this ideal stimulant... My Ultra Ego continues to Evolve! Keep this up, Ryuu!!".
Ryuu and Vegeta dashed towards each other and began to exchange blows on Equal Footing.
"What is the Meaning of this Vegeta?!" Ryuu demanded. "There's no way you managed to get this strong!".
"The answer is simple, my friend. Me, Kakarot, Kakarratta, and my Sister Vegeena, fought against several powerful opponents while you were off training on Planet Yadrat." Vegeta explained. "Those powerful opponents were named Granolah, Gas, and we were defeated by a new form of Frieza's called; Black Frieza. After that encounter, we've grown stronger after being pushed to the brink of death and now we continue to grow stronger by training and fighting against you, Ryuu! Now, give me everything you got!!".
Ryuu began to pummel up Vegeta with several blows of punches before sending him flying into the air with an uppercut. Vegeta does a backflip and lands safely on the ground before he dashed towards Ryuu and pushed him back with a head butt.
"Know this, Ryuuji Hitoshi... While I'm in this form... I am no longer bound by limits...!!" Vegeta said.
Vegeta dashed towards Ryuu and they went back to exchanging blows until Vegeta suddenly stops and reverts back to his base form before he then falls unconscious due to blood loss. Goku teleports to Vegeta and takes him to the Time Patrollers. The Time Patrollers took Vegeta off of Goku's hands before Goku then walked towards Ryuu. Goku stopped walking and stood tall in front of Ryuu before he then transforms into a New transformation Ryuu hasn't seen before.
"What... What transformation is this?!" Ryuu questioned in surprise.
"This is my new Ultra Instinct Transformation! It's called True Ultra Instinct!!" Goku said cheerfully and full of confidence.
"True Ultra Instinct?!" Ryuu questioned.
"That's right! My True Ultra Instinct form is an emotionally-driven form of Ultra Instinct as well as an enhanced version of Ultra Instinct Sign, unique to only Me and my Twin Sister, Goki."
"W-Wait... So Goki can do this too?!".
"That's right. I mean, she is my twin sister after all! While Perfected Ultra Instinct possesses incredulous power, its demand for calm and emotionless battle does not suit my own nature, limiting the effectiveness with the form." Goku starts to explain. "Thus, by operating in Ultra Instinct Sign rather than the complete transformation, I can continue to fight as I like with less emotional compromise, drawing from my nature as a Saiyan to fight with greater clarity and noticeably wield my "true" Ultra Instinct to even greater levels than that of Perfected Ultra Instinct. This form presents a combat style unique to only Me and My sister, differing from those used in the other Ultra Instinct states completely."
"During my fight with Gas, I was unable to make headway against Gas after the Heeter's instincts had been unleashed, even after I and Vegeta fought together against him. Anger over how Granolah had been brutalized continued to prod at my focus, decreasing the effectiveness of Perfected Ultra Instinct to a point where Vegeta noticed and told me that my Ultra Instinct was no different, further telling me to figure it out." Goku continues to explain. "This led to me briefly meditating and assuming the Ultra Instinct Sign form, applying my Saiyan nature to the battle to wield Ultra Instinct to a much higher level than before. This allowed me to match Gas in power and slightly surpass him, even when Gas survived Granolah's full power blast and continued to fight me and Vegeta. However, Me and Vegeta were instantly knocked out by Black Frieza, with Frieza's power allowing him to bypass the instantaneous defense of Ultra Instinct."
"Is it just me or does it sound like he's more educated than he originally is?" Ryuu thought with a sweat drop on the back of his head.
"While this state allows me to fight more effectively and harness Ultra Instinct to a higher level, I, myself, noticed that I still did not have long in this form. Even with my new clarity and control, this form still drains a large amount of energy and that I would not be able to maintain it for too long." Goku said. "I hope it's still enough to take you down!".
Ryuu turns smirks in confidence. "Don't get ahead of yourself yet, Son Goku. Just because you gained a new transformation doesn't mean you'll be able to beat me!".
"We'll just see about that now, won't we?".
Goku and Ryuu dashed towards each other and landed a punch to each others cheeks. The impact created a large shockwave that created a large crater underneath them. Goku was pushed back by the shockwave, but he dashed towards Ryuu and threw a punch at him. Ryuu dodged Goku's punch and he threw a punch at him. Goku dodged it and counters back with gut punch. Goku teleports behind him and sends Ryuu flying with a roundhouse kick.
"Kame- Hame..." Goku chanted before he fired off a massive Kamehameha Wave at Ryuu. "Haaa!!".
Ryuu took the attack head-on, but Ryuu was unfazed by the attack as his upper clothing were completely destroyed. Ryuu rips off what was left of his upper clothing as Goku flew towards him. Goku began to push Ryuu back as they went back to exchanging blows. Ryuu and Goku exchanged blows until Ryuu lands an Axe Kicks and Goku counters back with a Full Power Energy Mouth Wave as it sent Ryuu flying. Goku chases after Ryuu and sends him flying far with a Flying Kick to his stomach.
Ryuu got back up and dusted himself off as he noticed Ryuu teleporting in front of him.
"You're really are strong, Son Goku. There's no doubt about that, but I'm still far stronger than you!" Ryuu said before he then starts to power up. "Haaahh!!".
"Hrah!!!" Ryuu shouted out as he unleashed his Potential Unleashed state to Full Power.
Ryuu glares at Goku with a serious facial expression before he instantly appears in front of Goku face-to-face and lands a backhand to Goku's left cheek. Ryuu lands a powerful roundhouse kick, Goku throws a punch at Ryuu, Ryuu catches it, he lands a high kick, lands a gut punch, and then Ryuu sends Goku flying up into the Air with a High Roundhouse Kick. Ryuu chases after Goku as he appears behind Goku and knocks him down with a backhand. Goku lands on the ground safely and then notices Ryuu appearing behind him.
"Over Here. Slowpoke." Ryuu said confidently as Goku stands up straight and turns his head to look at him with a surprised facial expression.
Goku turns around and jumps back. Ryuu dashed towards Goku and Lands a High Kick to his face before Ryuu lands a punch to Goku's left cheek. Goku throws a Kick, but Ryuu catches it and slams Goku down to the ground, making Goku spit out saliva. Goku slams his hands above his head and does a backflip as he then safely lands on the ground. Goku powers up before he and Ryuu dashed towards each other and clashed fists, creating a large shockwave on impact. They both smirked as they began to exchange blows. They were both on equal footing as they exchanged blows. They exchanged blows until Goku pushes Ryuu back with a Mid-Kick. Right as Goku chases after Ryuu, a dark blue aura forms over Ryuu's right fist and Ryuu one shots Goku out of his True Ultra Instinct Form. Goku collapses on the ground in his base form and groans in pain while Ryuu looks down at Goku groaning in pain.
"I win, Son Goku." Ryuu said.
The Time Patrollers rushed over to help out Goku and Vegeta as the others ran up to Ryuu in excitement in seeing how strong Ryuu has become. Ryuu puts his right hand on the back of his head as he chuckles nervously due to the attention he's getting. Chronoa walks to Ryuu and hugs his right arm gently with her small body as she hisses at the other girls who hisses back at her. Ace helps Vegeta up and takes him over to Ryuu and the others.
"Even if Me and Kakarot has gotten stronger due to our previous battle on Planet Cereal, You still manage to out-due us like it was nothing..." Vegeta said to Ryuu. "I don't know if it's your Saiyan Nature now or if it's because of something else... Either way, I'm getting real tired of it!!".
"Hehehehe! Sorry, Vegeta! But it just turns out, I'm just a little bit better than you, that's all." Ryuu said boastfully.
"You can keep that overconfidence for now... However, I'll make you eat those words, Ryuu!!" Vegeta growled.
"Hehehehe! I guess we still have a long way to go, Vegeta..." Goku said as Atzuma helped Goku up.
"Shut it, Kakarot!" Vegeta said to Goku.
Yuuko gave Goku and Vegeta a Senzu Bean before Atzuma and Ace let's go of them. Goku and Vegeta were able to stand up straight as Whis gave Goku, Vegeta, and Ryuu new sets of clean clothes. Atzuma and his team of Time Patrollers walked towards Ryuu as he notices them and turns his head to look at them. They all suddenly stopped and stood tall as a team before they all kneeled down in front of Ryuu, surprising everyone.
"Uhhh... What's going on, guys?!... Why are you all kneeling down to me?!" Ryuu asked them in confusion and surprise.
"Ryuuji Hitoshi... You, an unknown and powerful man who not just fought Lord Beerus as his equal but also saved everyone here numerous of times by those Demon Gods from your world..." Atzuma began to say. "My Team and I have one simple request to ask of you...".
"Wh-What is it?...".
They all looked up at him and said in Unison and determination; "Please, Be Our Teacher!!!".
"Your What!?" Everyone then shouted out in surprise.
