Chapter 20: Ryuu's Students?!
They all looked up at him and said in Unison and determination; "Please, Be Our Teacher!!!".
"Your What!?" Everyone then shouted out in surprise.
"H-Hold On... You guys want me to be your... Instructor?!" Ryuu questioned, stunned in surprise of what he just heard and wanted to confirm.
"That's right. You, Goku, Goki, Vegeta, and Vegeena have been training hard and becoming stronger than all of us while we struggle a bit to reach your level of power." Atzuma said. "We believe that training under you would make us far more powerful than we were before and we would be able to catch up to you guys as well with your level of training. Please Ryuuji Hitoshi, Train us! Make us your Students!!".
"Oh my. Who would've thought that Ryuu, a man loved and respected by all, have been requested to be their Teacher. How interesting." Whis said as he puts his right hand on his right cheek.
Ryuu was stunned from the surprise of being requested to become a Martial Arts Teacher. Ryuu calmed down as he took a deep breath, he folded his arms, and began to think about how to answer.
Ryuu then shouted out; "Okay then!! I'll become your guys Instructor!!".
"What?!" Everyone shouted out in surprise.
"R-Really?!" Atzuma questioned with a happy smile on his face. "Y-You really mean it?!".
"Well... Maybe becoming a teacher isn't so bad, so why not?" Ryuu replied.
Atzuma and his team stood up onto their feet as Atzuma said excitedly; "I promise you won't regret this! Not one bit of it!!".
"Let's hope you're right about that." Ryuu said before he turns his head to Chronoa who was hugging and cuddling his left arm. "Can you leave us here in the wastelands? I want to use this area as their training grounds before I try to move them with me to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber."
Chronoa looks up at Ryuu and let's go of his left arm. "That's fine. I'll leave some special training equipment here for you to use and in the Time Chamber. Have fun and don't train them too hard, ok?"
"Okay." Ryuu replied as he leans down towards her face and kisses her. "Thanks, Hun."
"Don't mention it, Sweetie." Chronoa said as she then began to leave the area with the other Time Patrollers.
Goku, Goki, Vegeta, Vegeena, and Whis stayed to watch how Ryuu will start to train the Top Ten Strongest Time Patrollers. Ryuu closes his eyes and folded his arms as he began to think about how they should start off their training under him.
Ryuu opens eyes and announces out; "Today, I will be teaching you all my Martial Arts Style I learned long ago from my Master, Tenshi Sakamoto! This Martial Arts Style is supposed to help those in need of help and perfect their own unique style of martial arts combat!"
Atzuma and his team stood proudly in the Military Poss of attention as they waited for what Ryuu was going to tell them.
"This Martial Arts Style I learned a long time ago was called; 'The Way Of Your Spirit Animal'!!" Ryuu announces. "This Martial Arts Style is the only martial arts style that connects deeply to your spirit and your primitive ancestor from the animal kingdom! This Martial Arts will help you all improve your combat skills and who you are as an individual."
"With this Martial Arts Style, it'll take you to great lengths of strength and stamina as it's main goal is help those perfect their own unique fighting style by becoming their own martial arts style. My Way Of The Spirit Animal Martial Arts, is the Way Of the Dragon. My Rival and Best Friend, Blaze Tanaka, his Way Of The Spirit Animal Martial Arts, is the Way Of the Kitsune, a Fox Spirit. He and I have both become extremely powerful thanks to each other and for our masters teachings. I've managed to get this far in my life thanks to them as it is now my job to make sure this combat knowledge is past down to you guys. My Martial Arts Style; The Way Of The Dragon, allows me to fight and move just like a Dragon as it brings out the pure guidance I have learned in my years as a Martial Artist. But now... it's your turn to develop your own style of the Spirit Animal!".
"Today, I would want to see what you guys are capable of and how I can be able to train you guys. So todays lesson, is fighting me!" Ryuu said before he smirks in confidence.
"Wh-What?!" Everyone said in surprise.
"We have to... Fight you...?!" Ace questioned as he was shivering in fear.
"That's right~ I want to see what I can do to help train you guys and fighting you guys will help out with that!" Ryuu said before he took a martial arts stance. "So why don't you guys stop standing there and give me everything you got!".
"All right!! You asked for it!!" Atzuma shouted out as he and his team dashed towards Ryuu.
Ryuu dodged Atzuma's punch and pushes him back with a Backhand. Neo and Ace dashed towards Ryuu and threw a punch at him, but Ryuu zipped past them, grabbed their shoes as he saw Chiller coming towards him, he slams Neo and Ace with Chiller all together, and sends the three flying with a Kiai attack. Ryuu dashed towards Lamp and pushed her back with a point-blank energy wave. Steffe and Yuuko dashed towards Ryuu from behind as Ryuu leans towards the ground and lands a back kick on Steffe and Yuuko before he then pushed them back with a point-blank Ki Blast.
Ryuu turns his head and sees Lamp coming towards him. Lamp and Ryuu began to exchange blows fiercely until Ryuu blocks Lamp's punch with his right arm and sends Lamp flying with an energy wave to her stomach. Ryuu senses Tomai trying to attack him from behind as Ryuu then teleports behind Tomai and sends him flying with a flying kick. Ryuu sees Khorona flying towards him as Ryuu then quickly sends her flying with a powerful Kiai attack. Ryuu turns his head and notices Japonica standing behind him. Ryuu turns around to face Japonica as they both stood proudly. They both took a stance before they dashed towards each other and clashed fists as the impact created a large crater underneath them. They began to exchange blows swiftly and fiercely as they both seemed to be on equal footing.
They exchanged blows swiftly and fiercely until Ryuu dodges one of Japonica's punches, Ryuu jabs her arm as she got lifted up, and she starts to spin around in the air before she was sent flying by a Palm attack. Ryuu stands up straight as he looks down at Japonica who was groaning in pain.
"So, Japonica, how did my 'Dragon's Counter' Technique feel?" Ryuu said in confidence as he still looks down at Japonica.
"Uuuggghhh... You Jerk... That hurts a lot..." Japonica managed to say as she is still groaning in pain.
Ryuu turns his head as he notices Atzuma staring at him with a smile on his face. Ryuu turns around and they both took a stance. They dashed towards each other, they vanished from everyone's sight, and appeared in the sky as they began to exchange blows. They exchanged blows on equal footing as Goku, Goki, Vegeta, Vegeena, and Whis continued to watch them. They exchanged blows until Ryuu fires off a powerful energy ball at Atzuma. The Energy Ball stops in front of Atzuma which made him confused until Ryuu clenches his hand into a fist and the energy ball bursts in front of Atzuma, creating a large smokescreen in the air. Ryuu hid his Ki as he snuck behind Atzuma within the smokescreen and sends Atzuma flying with a Flying Kick. Atzuma crash-landed into the ground as the impact created a small crater. Atzuma got back up and dusted himself off as Ryuu floated down behind.
Atzuma turns around to face Ryuu as Ryuu asks him; "How was my 'Dragon's Burst' Technique? I created that technique a long time ago to get the drop on my opponents."
"I hate to admit it, but that technique was amazing! I never knew you could use a technique like that! It's definitely a useful technique!" Atzuma said. "But I still get the feeling you're holding back on us."
"That's because I am! I was seeing what you guys could do and I'm not impressed yet. If you guys feel like going all out against me, then by all means! Go ahead and give me everything you got!!". Ryuu said.
Atzuma's Team began to stand back up, they dusted themselves off, and they all began to stretch. Ace, Yuuko, Lamp, Neo, and Tomai transformed into their Potential Unleashed Forms. Chiller transformed into his Golden Form. Steffe and Khorona transformed into her Super Saiyan Blue Form as Japonica transformed into her (Ikari) Super Saiyan White Form. Atzuma, who was smiling confidently, transformed into his Super Saiyan 4 Form.
"This is our Full Power, Sensei! Don't cry if you get hurt!" Atzuma said in confidence.
"Oh, Don't worry about me. You should be more worried about yourselves." Ryuu said with a smirk.
A white silky, flame-like Aura started to emit off of Ryuu's body before it then fired off of as pillar of white light into the sky, ripping through the clouds above.
"Oh Shit!!... He's Serious!!..." Ace said as he began to shiver in fear.
The Time Patrollers as well as Goku, Goki, Vegeta, Vegeena, and Whis, noticed how Ryuu has a bluish glimmer in his eyes.
"Well then... Shall we continue your test?" Ryuu asked them with a smile of confidence on his face.
Neo, Lamp, Ace, Tomai, and Yuuko began to run towards Ryuu who folded his arms and closed his eyes with a smirk of confidence on his face. The Five warriors began to throw a ton of blows at Ryuu as he began to dodge all of their attacks instinctively. As Ryuu dodged all of their attacks instinctively, Ryuu also managed to push them all back with small but powerful counterattacks. Golden Chiller dashed towards Ryuu and threw a barrage of blows at Ryuu as he dodged them all instinctively and countered back with a powerful and heavy gut punch. Ryuu knocks Chiller away into a small mountain before Khorona and Steffe dashed towards him from behind. Khorona and Steffe threw a flying kick at Ryuu but Ryuu dodged it instinctively as he backflips over them. Khorona and Steffe crashes into the same mountain Chiller was in. Ryuu turns around and notices Japonica flying straight towards him. Japonica starts to throw a barrage of punches at Ryuu as he dodges them and counters back with a gut punch and sends her flying with a Roundhouse Kick. Ryuu turns around again and sees Atzuma smiling at him.
Atzuma took a fighting stance and dashed towards Ryuu with incredible speed as he then threw a fast and powerful punch at Ryuu. Ryuu dodged it instinctively and swiftly as he then counters back with a backhand, sending Atzuma flying into a different mountain. They all got back up as they noticed something about Ryuu. They looked at his eyes again and noticed how the pupils Of his eyes has turned silver. Ryuu has reawakened his Ultra Instinct -Sign- Form once again through his calm heart and the calmness he has for the situation he's in. Goku, Goki, Vegeta, Vegeena, and Whis, who were watching from afar, noticed how Ryuu awakened his Ultra Instinct -Sign- Form, for the second time. They all became surprised to see this.
"Th-That's... " Ace began to say.
"Ultra Instinct!!!" Everyone shouted out in surprise.
"H-How did he manage to achieve that again?!" Vegeta questioned in surprise.
"I believe it's due to the calmness he is feeling now even though he's in combat. A truly magnificent feat with such ease I must add as well." Whis answered.
Neo, Lamp, Ace, Tomai, and Yuuko ran towards him as they began to throw a ton of attacks at Ryuu. Ryuu takes a deep breath, he closes his eyes, and began to dodge all of their attacks instinctively. They continued to throw attacks at Ryuu as Ryuu continues to dodge them all instinctively. Ryuu continues to dodge their attacks until he simply zips past the five in different directions as he then says out loud; "Angelic Dance."
Neo, Lamp, Ace, Tomai, and Yuuko, all powered down and fell unconscious as they all went face-flat towards the ground. Khorona and Steffe dashed towards Ryuu as they began to throw tandem attacks at him. Ryuu began to dodge their tandem attacks instinctively until he guts Steffe with an elbow strike, making her power down to her base form and fall unconscious. Ryuu then appears behind Khorona and knocks her out with a Chop to her neck, making her power down to her base form and fall unconscious next to Steffe. Japonica dashes towards Ryuu from behind and right as she threw a punch at him, Ryuu dodged it instinctively as he backflips over her and lands safely behind her. Japonica stops herself as she slid forward on the ground, she turns around, and immediately fires off a Full Power Energy Wave at Ryuu who simply swatted it away. Japonica drops her guard in surprise of witnessing Ryuu swatting away her Full Power Energy Wave attack like it was nothing as Ryuu instantly appears in front of her and pushes her back with a punch. Ryuu chases after her as they began to exchange blows. They exchanged blows until Ryuu gut punches her and knocks her down with a uppercut before sending her flying with a one hand energy wave. Ryuu turns around and sees Atzuma staring at him with a serious facial expression on his face. Atzuma took a fighting stance and dashed towards Ryuu with incredible speed as he then threw a fast and powerful punch at Ryuu. Ryuu dodged the punch instinctively and countered back with a powerful and fast punch. Atzuma catches his balance and throws another punch at Ryuu as he dodges it instinctively and counters back with a uppercut before Ryuu slams Atzuma's head into the ground with a powerful punch. Ryuu stands up straight and jumps back cautiously as he sees the Time Patrollers groaning in pain on the ground. Ryuu reverts back to his base form as he then sighs in disappointment.
Ryuu turns his head to look at Whis and shouts out; "Hey Whis!! Can you come and heal them please!!".
"As you wish." Whis replied as he stood up and floated towards them.
Whis heals their wounds and they all got back up as they are all in their base forms. They all looked down in disappointment as Whis takes a few steps back.
"From what I witnessed, you all have excellent and exceptional skills and talents as fighters. I'm quite impressed! However... I still managed to come out on top!" Ryuu said. "My fighting style is the perfect balance between offense and defense as my fighting style also requires to have a calm mind while doing so in combat. It's tricky to have a calm mind while fighting but I assure you, you guys will manage to pull it off too! So my lesson today is for you guys to start meditating!".
"What?!" The time patrollers said in surprise.
"Come on! Don't make me repeat myself!" Ryuu said.
They all sat down with their legs crisscrossed as they closed their eyes and began to levitate in the air, showing that they are beginning to meditate. Goku, Goki, Vegeta, Vegeena, and Whis began to smile as they watched Ryuu train his new students. Ryuu made his students meditate for several days to improve their mindsets and to try and make them calm in any situation they're in.
After several weeks of mind training, everyone has gotten used to Ryuu's lessons. They were all now able to control their emotions by just taking deep breaths. Even though they can't completely do so, they could at least do so enough to keep themselves from losing focus during battle. Their minds were clear and focused on one thing: Becoming stronger to surpass and defeat Ryuuji Hitoshi in combat. After their meditation training was over, Ryuu made his students spar against while trying to make them maintain their calmness in battle. He then gave his students some time to rest after their intensive training sessions before making them continue their training. The next day, he had his students practice their martial arts by doing standard exercises and sparring exercises while wearing extremely heavy weighted clothing. They have all improved quite a bit as they still struggle to keep a calm composure in battle.
As Ryuu watches his students train together, Ryuu notices Whis walking up to him.
"Hm? What's up, Whis?" Ryuu asked him as he turned his head to look at him.
"I can see you've been training your students well. I'm pleased." He replied.
Ryuuji thought about it for a second. He nodded to himself. "Yeah, yeah they're getting better..."
"Indeed they are. Most people would have given up already. Your students have developed an astounding amount of strength and willpower. You must be very proud of them." Whis complimented him.
"Thanks," Ryuuji said.
"But there's something I want to speak with you about. Do you have a moment?"
"Sure. What's up, Whis?" Ryuuji asked.
"Would you care to spar with me?" Whis asked him with a smile.
Everyone became surprised to hear what Whis asked, especially Ryuu.
Ryuu then smirks and says; "Sure. I would love to spar with you but I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with you since it's been awhile since we last sparred."
"Ohoho! If that's the case, then how about a proposal? If I'm able to get touched no matter what tactic you used, then I'll do whatever you wish me to do. What do you say? Does that sound promising enough to get you two motivated?" Whis said.
"Very well then, Whis! I accept your offer!" Ryuu replied with a smirk of confidence.
"Oh and feel free to go full power on me. I can't guarantee the results of what will happen but I do wish you can touch me. Also, me touching you doesn't count. Let's make that clear, okay? It's just me doing self-defense." Whis replied.
"Hmph, whatever. Let's go!" Ryuu said in confidence.
Ryuu immediately transformed into his Super Saiyan Blue Form as Whis instructed. To go all out will make Whis actually try here. Seeing Ryuu in his Super Saiyan Blue going up in the air with the angel became alarming to Goku, Vegeta, Goki, Vegeena, Atzuma & the others.
"Ryuu's gone blue!" Steffe said, seeing his clear blue aura hovering around his bodies.
"Now we get to see what Ryuu can truly do in his Super Saiyan Blue Form..." Atzuma said as he stared at Ryuu.
"C'mon on, babe! Let's see your all!" Goki whistled later.
"Babe..." Vegeena mumbled in worry of Ryuu.
Atzuma & the others soon heard thunder roaring, later hitting the ground, similar to Vegeta powering up the Final Flash. The cause of the thunder roaring was due to the impact of Ryuu's fist. Throwing the fist only to get blocked by Whis's left palm, lead out multiple shockwaves that showed Earth undeserved punishment. Picking up their speed, Whis decided it was time to put the nail in the coffin.
Call it multitasking if you will and that was what Whis was doing as he toyed with Ryuu. While keeping an eye out for Ryuu, he was aware of the shockwaves & the sudden stop in the Earth's rotation. It was time to call it a day, so Whis flew his distance away from him but Ryuu didn't take kindly to that and follows him in pursuit. In the spectators' seat, they all could see the one blue light beam following a single man around like a roller coaster. Concluding it towards the ground, Ryuu landed on the ground safely as he was about to finish up with the angel.
Like a stampede of rolling thunder, SSB Ryuu were getting ready to lay out his strongest punch. Expanding his god aura led the trees, bushes, and anything mother nature related behind him to fly back. Right as when he were about to unleash his Impact God Punch, the motion of delivering the punch was interrupted. Whis came in front of Ryuu and stopped his punch with a peace sign from his right index finger, and his right middle finger, smiling as the sparring match came to an end.
"Okay Ryuu, I think we're done for today." as he got out of the peace sign motion.
Ryuu reverted back to his base form, exhausted as he was breathing heavy, Ryuu placed his hands on his knees.
"Man... As expected of you, Whis. You're as strong as I always... It seems impossible to land a hit on you." Ryuu's face piles up from sweating dearly.
"Well he is Beerus' teacher, it's always been the same with him." Vegeta says as he walks up to Ryuu with a bottle of water.
"Thanks, Vegeta." Ryuu said as he took the bottle of water out of Vegeta's hands and began chugging it down.
"The next time I train with you, my offer of doing anything you ask me to do still stands." Whis stated, "It can be anything, that's if you can touch me that is."
"In that case, I'd say I did my part in doing the job Ryuu couldn't do." A mysterious voice said.
"Hmm?" Whis questioned.
That voice came from Yuuko. Coming from behind Whis, she grabbed the angel's left arm. Her doing that surprised everyone, especially Ryuu, Goku, Vegeta, Goki, Vegeena & Atzuma.
"Yuuko!?" Vegeta, Atzuma & Steffe said in surprise.
"I touched you, so I get to ask you a favor, Whis." Yuuko said, hoping he'll obliged.
"Whoa, Vegeta...! Look! She touched Whis!" Goku replied.
"I can see that, moron. But the question is... Why?" Vegeta said.
"Oh my, this is rather a turn of events." Whis looks at Yuuko, "Would you care to explain your actions, Young Lady Yuuko?"
"Before going up in the sky, you told Ryuu about the proposal, but you didn't specify about who can jump in on that deal. So, I took it upon myself to take you up on that deal." Yuuko said.
"I see... Well then, you caught me." Whis smiles, "Tell me what is it you want from me? Anything you can ask for; I'll happily lay down the line for."
"What I want..." soon Yuuko pointed her left index finger at Ryuu, "Is to spend the entire day tomorrow without any interruptions with Ryuu."
In split frame of five that consist of Lamp, Steffe, Khorona, Japonica, and everyone else in the background were just as shocked as they were. Whis just opened his mouth a little while Ryuu pointed at himself all confused.
"Me?" Ryuu questioned as he pointed at himself in surprise.
