Bell POV

It was easy to sneak her back to the mansion. With Loki and Freya gone, it made getting her back a lot easier. When we arrived at home Miach and Nazha had confused looks on their faces. When Nazha saw the Vouvire she froze. Her PTSD from when a monster tore her arm off came back in full force. She would've had a full-blown panic attack if not for Miach.

Once she calmed down we moved to the living room where I explained the situation. Since Miach was a god he knew I wasn't lying when I said I encountered a talking monster before her.

Yet everyone was keeping their distance. Everyone except for Zald and Welf was on the other side of the living room. I sat alone on the couch with her.

"So a monster who can talk, how interesting" Miach put his finger to his chin.

"Bell, you do know you can get in a lot of trouble by keeping this thing, right," Zald told me.

"I know, but I mean look at her, does she look like a normal Vouvire, you didn't see her when I first came across her, she was scared, maybe terrified, and the firebird attacked her, normal monsters don't attack each other"

"Master Bell, even if it can talk it's still a monster" Lili stated.

"Then Regis is technically a monster too, I mean he can kill people and he talks, what's the difference between him and her" I pointed out.

That seemed to make Lili pause and think. Before she let out a long sigh and leaned back into the couch.

"Bell, you can understand our worry right, it's not every day you see a monster that has emotions" Laurier mentioned.

Lena leaned forward resting her arms on the back of the couch. "Yeah boss man, I mean I'll follow you anywhere, but this is a lot to take in"

Haruhime's Tail wagged showing she was nervous. "Master Bell, we're just, surprised that you'd be willing to help her, that's all we won't leave you"

I was thankful to hear that.

"I get that, I'm not asking you to welcome her with open arms, I'm asking you to trust me on this, I'm ready to become a scapegoat if needed, I am one hell of an actor after all"

That last part seemed to make everyone uneasy.

Miach cleared his throat. "Let's put this matter on hold for a second and talk about the other elephant in the room"

Everyone knew what he was referring to, but a lot of people didn't want to talk about it.

Zald crossed his arms. "So some woman in black's gonna kill ya, she'll have to get through me first lad"

Welf ruffled my hair. "And I'll make sure you're armors in tip-top condition"

Nazha looked concerned "I don't think you should be taking this lightly, Bell was just told he was gonna die"

She sounded like a worried big sister. In a way she was. But if this woman in black were to kill me. I wouldn't mind as long as everyone else is safe.

"Banish that thought from your mind," Miach told me. It seems like he could read my thoughts.

I sighed. "Let's not focus on something that's yet to happen, right now we should figure out what to call the Vouivre"

I brushed aside the topic of my potential death. Nothing to worry about yet. Who knows when this woman will even show up?

Mikoto's jaw dropped. "Sir Bell this isn't something we can just ignore, you could die at any time" she protested.

"Mikoto not now, please, it's not something I want to talk about" Seeing how I was taking this so lightly Aisha came and grabbed me by the shoulders.

Her voice was desperate. "Bell this isn't something you can just ignore, you can't die, not after everything you've done for us, for me"

Her grip on my shoulders tightened. I grabbed her hands and gently held them as I brought them down from my shoulders.

"Aisha, this isn't something I'm ignoring, it's just not our main issue right now, we don't know when this woman will show up, right now we need to focus on her" I gestured my head to the Vouvire.

They all turned to the monster who stared at me with big doe eyes. She looked at me like a child would to a parent.

"You should name her" Miach's voice cut me out of my thoughts.

I turned to look at him seeing the solemn look on his face.

"I don't know what to name her" I responded.

I heard Regis's voice in my head.

"Name her wiener"

"I am not naming her that"

"You're no fun"

Haruhime's timidly raised her hand. "If I could offer a suggestion"

I gave her a nod telling her to go ahead.

"It was a story I read, it was about a king, I can't really remember the details, or his name really but I think it was something along the lines of Winderfaust"

Mikoto nervously chuckled "That's a bit of a mouthful lady Haruhime"

"How about we shorten it a little and add some letters to get Wiene" Miach's gentle voice proposed.

"W-W-Wiene m-my name Wiene" she pointed at herself.

"That still weirds me out" Daphne muttered.

I smiled at Wiene. "Yes your name is Wiene"

Wiene face then broke out into a bright smile as she hugged me.

"Ok papa"

I heard Regis laugh in the corner while everyone else looked at me in shock. Eventually, Zald joined in on the laughter along with Welf.

I patted the top of Wiene's head. "Shit, I'm a dad now"

"Heh heh ha ha ha" Regis was on his side laughing his ass off.

"Goddamnit Regis stop laughing!" I yelled at him.

He didn't.

I had put Wiene down to sleep a few minutes ago. She was sleeping comfortably in my bed parading in the land of dreams.

I sat at my desk thinking. Was I really making the right decision? No, I can't think like that. I should take a walk to clear my head. I quietly got up and pushed my chair back under the desk. I looked at the bed and saw Wiene sleeping with a smile on her face. The covers were down so I walked over and put them up causing her to mumble in her sleep.

I then walked out of my room and quietly shut the door. I walked down the hallway the moonlight shining in from the skylight. As I was about to take a turn down another hallway I heard groaning coming from Lili's room.

I stopped what I was doing and went inside. When I was inside her room I saw her tossing and turning no doubt having a nightmare. I walked up to her and gently shook her awake.

"NO!" Her hidden blade came flying at my eye. I caught her wrist careful not to grip it too hard. Her eyes were looking at me full of fear.

"Lili, calm down, it's me" I softly reassured her. She calmed down as she finally recognized me and I let her arm drop. Her hidden blade went back into sheathe.

"Having those nightmares again?" I asked sitting on her bed. I patted my lap and she laid her head down as I stroked her hair.

"Yeah," she nodded her head.

"You haven't had those since we moved here, what brought them back"

She curled more into a ball hugging herself.

"I-I-I don't know, I didn't have them yesterday"

"Well I'm here, you're safe now" I kept patting her head.

"But for how long, how long will you be here," she asked her voice trembling.

I let out a sigh before speaking.

"Is this about the woman in black"

She nodded her head.

"I wouldn't worry about it, remember it's just a prophecy, sometimes they're not even true"

"But half of it was" she pointed out.

"Doesn't mean the other half is, look I made you a promise when you first joined this familia, I can't exactly keep it if I'm dead, so I'll make you another promise, I promise you I won't die, see now Cassandra's prophecy is incorrect" I replied.

She giggled a little as she snuggled more on my lap.

"I just don't wanna lose you, you were the first person that was kind to me and I'm scared you'll leave me too"

"I won't leave you, besides whatever would I do without my supporter" I joked.

"You'd be lost without me" she joked back.

I sat there for a few more minutes letting her rest her head on my lap.

"Do you think you can go back to sleep now?" I asked.

"Yeah, but can you stay until I fall back asleep" She looked at me with hopeful eyes.

"Sure, let's get you tucked back in"

She got off my lap and went back under her covers. I sat next to her moving her hair out of her face as she closed her eyes.

I sat there for a few minutes waiting for her to fall asleep. Once I knew she was asleep I left the room and saw Regis outside. I motioned him to go inside and keep her company in case she had another nightmare.

Like he had done when she first joined he walked in and jumped up on her bed. He walked in a circle a few times before laying next to her. Curled up in a ball.

I still didn't feel tired so I continued to walk around the mansion. That was until Aisha and I bumped into each other.

She took one look at me before she jumped into my arms and held me tightly. I could feel the tears she was trying to hold back hit my neck.

I carried her back into the living room. The lights were off as no one was in there. I took a seat on the couch her arms still wrapped around me. Right now she was currently in my lap crying, and I don't know why. Normally Aisha was a strong and confident woman, I had only seen her like this once before when she asked me to save Haruhime, and even then she only shuddered.

"I'm not gonna ask if you're ok because you're obviously not, so I'll ask what's wrong" I gently rubbed small circles on her back.

She didn't answer for a moment. She sniffled and then looked at me. Her eyes were puffy and a look of deep sadness was in them.

"I don't want to lose you," she said.

So it's about the prophecy.

"You won't lose me, we don't even know if this woman in black exists, prophecies can be wrong, sure the first part was true doesn't mean the second part will," I told her.

She held on to me tighter her face digging into my shoulder.

"I just don't want to lose you, you're the man I love and you've done so much for me, for Haruhime, I don't know what I'd do if I lost you" she let out another sob.

I sat there with her on my lap just holding her. It seems everyone else was worried about me, knowing I might die in the future. That it was my fate to die because of the woman in black. But I was never one to follow fate.

As Aisha kept crying telling me her worries I knew what I had to say to ease her mind, it was something I should've told her a long time ago, I just didn't know how to until now.

"Aisha can you look at me please" I gently asked her.

She sniffled again before pulling her head back. Her makeup was dripping and her hair was a mess. But that didn't matter to me. She was staring into my eyes with an expectant look in her eyes. She was waiting for what I had to say.

"I love you," I told her. My voice was sincere and I could feel my heart beating a little faster.

She looked at me in confusion. "What did you just say"

I looked her in the eyes again, my eyes full of love for the woman in front of me.

"I love you" I repeated.

"You don't mean that" she denied.

"I do" I reaffirmed.

"No, you're just saying that to-

I cut her off as I kissed her. She was caught off guard for a moment before she leaned into it. Neither of us pulled away as we sat there. The kiss wasn't like the other ones. This one felt full of passion instead of carnal desires.

After a few minutes, we both needed to breathe so we pulled back. She looked at me and for the first time, I could see a blush on her face.

"You're cute when you blush," I told her.

"Stop, I look miserable," she said embarrassed.

"No you don't, I think you still look pretty" I had a small smile on my face.

"Charmer" she muttered.

"So do you believe me now," I asked?

"Hmm not really, I might need another kiss to convince me" she cooed.

Without hesitating I leaned in and gave her another kiss full of the same passion from before. I felt this tingly feeling well up in my chest as we kissed.

Was this happiness, or was this a physical reaction to love? When we pulled away again a goofy smile appeared on Aisha's face.

"Does this signal the beginning of your harem" she teased. She remembered the stories of my grandpa.

"Don't even start" I rolled my eyes, a happy smile on my face as well.

We sat there in silence for a while just happy to be in each other's presence.

"Took you long enough" she teased.

I chucked a little. "Yeah sorry about that, I know I kept you waiting a while, but I think I've finally figured out how to love, at least to some degree"

I stared into her eyes lovingly.

"It's alright, I found it kind of cute, you bumbling over your words trying to express yourself, but it is nice to hear the words"

"Do you feel better now?" I asked still a little concerned.

"Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better now, but I know how to feel even better" she started grinding her butt on my crotch. I playfully smacked her ass.

"We're not fucking on the couch" I playfully told her.

She gasped in excitement "Well how about we go back to your room"

"Can't, Wiene's sleeping there, I also need to be there when she wakes up" she gave me a pout.

"Fine, but we're fucking sometime soon"

"That's fine with me," I told her.

She leaned her head back into my shoulder and we just sat there cuddling.

"When did you realize you loved me," she asked.

I sat there for a moment before answering.

"I still don't really understand it, but when I'm around you my heart beats a little faster, I also didn't want you to cry, so that has to be love right?"

She pulled back and looked at me.

"It's a form yes, but don't worry you'll figure it out eventually" She gave me a peck on the lips before leaning into my shoulder again.

Aisha had fallen asleep shortly after our talk. It's hard to believe she's really my girlfriend now. I can hear Gramps cheering from the afterlife. I took her back to my room and set her down on my bed. I laid between her and Wiene so she wouldn't get startled when she woke up.

I felt her holding onto me and I slowly fell into a deep sleep.

Welp Bell finally said the three words we've been waiting for since like chapter 14. Hope I did it all right. Also if you look back it was always Aisha that initiated all of the lovey-dovey stuff.

We also dealt with some of Lili's trauma cause a buddy of mine pointed out how I kinda ignored it. More will happen with Lili's trauma in the next arc.

Haruhime's trauma will be touched on here and there before it is fully explored in a later arc.

So with all that out of the way, it's question time. Who's the woman in black and what will Bell do with Wiene?

Also, I made up the king's name Haruhime mentioned cause I forgot the actual thing Bell said.

Oh and if anyone was confused about Welf's dad showing up last chapter it was a thing that happened in volume 8 of the light novel which the anime didn't go over. Pretty much Rakia's war against Orario was a diversion to kidnap Welf. Volume 8 is also the volume that introduced the orphans.
