Hermes POV on top of a rooftop nearby.

"Ha ha ha ha, look at that Hermes, your nephew is protecting the monster, and he's doing it in front of everyone to" Ikelos was laughing his head off at the sight.

I stared at the sight not in disgust, but in annoyance.

Oh Bell you're supposed to be the hero, you can't be the hero if you fraternize with monsters. No matter I'll figure something out.

Alise POV

What is he doing, why is he protecting monsters? Did he join Evilus? I examined him once more and saw a hole in his shirt on the side.

Wait was he injured, and that look in his eyes, why does he look remorseful about something?

"Bell Leywin, move out of the way" Finn ordered.

Bell turned his gaze to me and then back to Finn.

"Can't do that Finn" he replied. He twirled his sword in his hand but didn't move from his spot.

"And if we try and pursue," Finn asked.

"I'll fight you and probably die" Bell calmly responded.

Finn jumped off the roof and landed in front of Bell. Thanks to my level six ears I could still hear them.

Finn looked at Bell warily, I knew there was bad blood that Loki and her familia were trying to fix between Bell and them, and it seems they can't do that if Bell's dead.

"We wouldn't kill you if we fought you," Finn told him.

Bell just gave him a sad smile. "Oh Finn, you wouldn't be the one killing me, I would"

What?! Bell would kill himself just to protect these monsters? Why?

"And how would you die" Finn inquired. Based on the way he was standing with his thumb in his fist, it meant his thumb was hurting. Telling him something wasn't right.

Bell shrugged his shoulders. "Where's the fun in telling you that, a good magician doesn't reveal all his secrets"

The two stared each other down. Bell wasn't gonna move and Finn didn't want to inadvertently kill him. So with a heavy sigh, he waved me forward.

Bell POV

I watched as Alise landed gracefully on the ground. She slowly walked up to Finn and me with a look of apprehension on her face. She didn't know what Finn was gonna ask her to do, it seemed she was also nervous to be around me as well. Her eyes darted everywhere so she wouldn't meet my eyes

"It seems the monsters have escaped into the city, you've stopped us, therefore, breaking the law and allowing monsters to wreak havoc on the surface, Bell Leywin you are under arrest for suspicion of being a part of evilus and selling monsters on the black market, Alise cuff him," Finn said.

I raised my sword and knife in the air causing both Alise and Finn to get into ready positions. I moved my hands and held them by the blades holding them out for them to take, Finn hesitantly grabbed both of them and I handed Basilisk tear to the werewolf.

I stuck my hands out in front of Alise and let her put the cuffs on me. I had an indifferent look on my face shutting off my emotions as Alise grabbed my arm and started leading me away.

"Bell" I heard Miach call out to me. I turned my head to the left and saw Miach and my whole familia being stopped from coming any closer.

The area had been shut down and there was a lot of property damage caused by Wiene. Ganesha's familia was holding them back but not too forcefully.

"Sir I have to ask you to step back," one of the guards said.

"That's my son over there, Bell what's going on" Miach was worried and agitated.

I glanced at Alise. "Can I go talk to them, or do you hate me so much that it'll be a no?" I asked.

She gave me a sad look before looking at my familia and back to me. She let go of my arm and nodded toward them.

"You have two minutes"

I walked to the barricade the Ganesha familia guards were stationed and stood at the other end of the tape. I smiled at them to let them know I'll be alright.

"Bell what happened" Nazha worriedly asked as she grabbed my hand, tears streaming down her face.

"Nothing happened, just a simple misunderstanding" I reassured her.

I could tell that she and nobody else believed me. But I had to keep the act up.

"Just say the word and I'll bust you out of here," Regis said through our mental link.

I looked at him and shook my head. "Nah, I don't want to cause more trouble for Miach than I already have, Keep a close eye on Lili and Haruhime for me"

"Fine kid, stay safe" He then cut the link.

I then looked back at everyone else. "I'll only be gone for a little bit everyone, it's just a simple misunderstanding that's all, just take care of each other while I'm gone, ok"

The tears were going down almost everyone's faces, except for Miach's and Zald's, I could see Welf was trying and failing to hold them back.

"Bell" I heard Alise call to me.

"Looks like my time is up, I have to go everyone, but don't worry this isn't goodbye, just a simple see you later" I reaffirmed.

I turned my back and started walking away, until Miach called out to me.

"Bell" I stopped but didn't turn around. "No matter what, you will always be my son, you come back safe and sound and we will welcome you with open arms, no matter what"

I could feel my lip quivering as I tried to blink back tears. I said nothing but nodded my head still not facing them. I kept walking forward feeling Alise gently grab my arm to lead me. I was still holding back my tears as we made our way to the stardust garden.

The walk was quiet as neither of us had spoken. I could tell by Alise's body language she didn't know what to say to me. The last time we had spoken to each other I was in the hospital. That had to have been a month or two ago now.

It might not seem like long to some people but I guess Alise and I had a special connection since she saved my life twice, she was also one of the first people I met when I arrived in Orario almost four months ago. Wow, a lot's happened since I first arrived.

I watched Alise open her mouth to say something, but she stopped and closed it. Seeing as she wouldn't speak I did.

"I'm sorry," I told her.

"What?" Her tone was confused and her face scrunched up a little.

"The hospital, I was a dick, you felt hurt and I practically laughed in your faces"

Alise sighed as she brushed a lock of hair out of her face. "We didn't really help either, you were tortured and your identity was exposed in front of everyone, then we busted in and demanded answers"

We didn't say anything else after that. When we reached the stardust garden the news of what had happened had already reached Astraea. She stood at the entrance like a worried mother. I couldn't look her in the eye.

Alise took me to the eastern wing where some holding cells were located. She opened the door to one and I walked inside. She shut it behind me and told me to stick my hands through the bars. I did as she asked and she took my handcuffs off.

"You'll have to stay here until we finish our investigation, I know that you can easily break out of here but I ask that you don't" She had a pleading look in her eyes.

"I won't, but can I at least use my magic to entertain myself so I don't get bored," I asked.

She sighed as she put her hands on her hips. "Normally no but since it's you and there's probably a high possibility that you'll just do it anyway, I'll allow it"

"Thank you," I told her.

Once she left I conjured a fireball and created an illusion of myself. I then threw the fireball at me which I caught.

For the next few minutes, I played catch with myself which is kind of weird if you think about it. That was until the door opened and in walked Astraea. She stopped in her tracks seeing me play catch with myself.

"Oh well, this is a sight" She grabbed a chair and sat in front of my cell. I got rid of the clone and fireball and sat on the bench the darkness covering me a little. She sat in the light while I was in the darkness.

"I heard what you did," she said.

I leaned further back into the darkness. "I can't tell you why I did it"

She shook her head. "I know why you did it, the others won't but I know you did it to save that girl"

A look of realization crossed my face. "Right, Miach told you about Wiene"

She leaned forward a little bit some of the light shining over her head and a few rays shone on my leg. "I know you didn't join evilus, that's just not who you are, this investigation will go quickly since you can't lie to a goddess, but there is one question I have to ask" She paused for a second as if trying to find the words.

"Did you kill Dix Perdix"

I was quiet for a moment as the realization of what I did hit me. I had killed a man. "Yes, it was an act of self-defense, what's the saying, him or me"

I was trying not to break down. I had killed a man. Sure he wasn't a good man but still a man nonetheless.

"And how did you get into Knossos," she asked.

"He cornered me a few hours before and I stole a key from him, then, well you know what happened next"

She gave me a sad look as she leaned back and the few tiny rays of light that were shining on my legs disappeared. "Do you want to talk about it"

I shook my head. "Not really"

I curled in on myself a little going further and further away from the light.

Astraea nodded and sighed. "Alright Bell, I'll make sure the investigation goes quickly so you can be released, are you hungry, thirsty maybe"

I nodded my head. "Yeah, I ran off before I had anything to eat"

She stood up and put the chair back where she got it from. "Alright Bell, I'll bring you something to eat"

She then left the room as I curled up more.

Astraea POV

Once I shut the door to our holding cells I saw Alise standing outside. Lucky for me I soundproofed it before I went in there so she didn't hear anything.

"Did he do it?" she asked.

I sadly nodded my head. "Yes, he killed that man"

Alise looked at the ground and sighed. "How's he feeling"

"Guilty, Dix wasn't a good person but he was still a person, and that was the first time Bell killed anyone"

Alise picked her head up. "Should… should I go talk to him" she hesitantly asked.

I shook my head. "No, I think he wants to be alone right now, we both know he's innocent so I'm gonna bring him some food and we'll hurry this investigation up so he can go home"

Alise nodded her head and stared at the door for a moment not moving.

"Something wrong Alise"

She shook herself out of her stupor. "No, everything's fine"

She then walked off to the entrance to hurry the investigation up. I walked the other way to the kitchen. I made a few sandwiches and got a glass of water for him.

I went back to the holding cells and saw him curled in on himself. It broke my heart to see him like that, but I had to put on the act that everything would be ok.

"Bell sweetie, I brought you something to eat and drink," I told him. I opened his cell door and placed the food and water on the ground before shutting his cell door again.

"Would you like for some light in here, I can go and get another light" I told him.

He got up from the bench and sat in front of the tray. He grabbed one of the sandwiches and took a bite. His hair was covering his eyes so I couldn't see the look in them, but I had a feeling he did that on purpose.

"No thanks, and these sandwiches are good" he took another bite before drinking some water.

"Ok, if you need anything else just send one of your illusions to me, I'm gonna try and hurry this investigation up"

He nodded his head and I walked out of the room again. Once I shut the door I felt a teardrop go down my face. I hated seeing him like that.

"So you wanna use this thing to test the kid, why"

"Because we need him to be ready for Agrona, Agrona spared him and that will be his last mistake"

"But wouldn't allying with Agrona be easier if you want to end this world"

"No, Agrona won't end the world, he just wants it under his control so he can lead Epheotus"

"How did he even come back, I thought Arthur killed him"

"Agrona is a lot of things, cautious is one of them, his backup plans have backup plans"

I looked at the monster that was trapped in the cage. It was roaring and trying to use its razor-sharp claws to break free. But the material we used for the cage was too strong.

"And you were able to make sure Ouranos doesn't know about this"

"Yup, was able to sneak this right under his nose"

A woman in black then stepped forward examining the creature. "Once he defeats this thing, I will reveal myself"

"Do what you want, but after he passes the test, don't kill him"

"I won't, but if he wants to be a hero, he'll have to kill the villain"

Well looks like Bell's in jail and just realized he killed someone. Now with the way I've been writing Bell this is in character since he threw up and regretted what he did to Zanis.

Bell had also apologized to Alise and their bridge might be mended soon who knows. It also seems like the shadier elements of Orario are setting their goal aside for the time being to get Bell ready. For what who knows?
