I don't own Naruto or any of its characters, I'm just a fan I enjoyed the anime but I love the fanfics, even more, they made me fall for the whole franchise. Whether I will have Oc's in the fic or not depends entirely on how the story goes.
Chapter 26
With Hinata's arrival, Naruto felt like his chances increased, even better she had her Byakugan activated she said something about seeing chakra so that would mean she had all her Byakugan abilities even though she was blind.
'I wonder how that works?' Naruto thought as he dashed circling Aoi from afar on the man's left and Hinata did the same on Rokushō's right. Rokushō's eyes followed Naruto while he kept his weapon trained on Hinata sending random arks of electricity at her.
Naruto and Hinata locked eyes, that was the only indication they needed to tell each other 'I trust you' before they dashed in making Rokushō bare his toothless mouth at Naruto before turning to Hinata's quicker approaching form.
"Eight Trigrams: Vacuum Palm!" Aoi Rokushō Swung his lightning blade down in front of him. Shocking Hinata as her eyes caught sight of the blade cutting her technique right down the middle, including the chakra making it up. The two pieces of the vacuum Palm flew past Aoi impacting behind him.
Aoi sent a continuous bolt of electricity and spun on his axis the ark of electricity spinning around him like a whip causing Naruto and Hinata to jump up and high.
"That blade is the Sword of the thunder spirit or The sword of the thunder god!" Naruto shouted out to Hinata as they got higher and higher from their jump. Hinata giggled at the name, Naruto could tell this by her hands coming to cover her mouth as she brought her knees closer to her chest while her shoulders shook.
"Why are you laughing!" Naruto asked out loud and Hinata wiped a tear, the two genin reaching the peak of their jump.
"Did you name it?" Hinata asked, her shoulders shaking while she held her laugh in. Naruto growled at her.
"No, but it's an Awesome name!" Naruto protested at his best friend who only giggled making Naruto growl in irritation.
"It's a cute name." Hinata finally said and Naruto screamed wanting to pull his hair. He was going to get to the bottom of that response mark his words.
"Shadow clone jutsu." Naruto summoned two clones grabbing one he threw it like an arrow directly at Hinata, the second clone grabbed the original and threw him away from the electric fan-like landing zone.
Hinata grabbed the clone-like missile thrown at her letting its momentum carry her away from the danger that was Aoi Rokushō playing with electricity as he spun hoping to catch them in his fan-like whip when they landed.
Naruto landed in a crouch, watching as Hinata ruffled the clone's hair before letting go of it and dropping down. The clone grinned throughout his flight even as he hit head-first on a tree dispelling it.
Naruto received the clone's memories and emotions, it was happy Hinata was back and the ruffling of his mane of hair just made him happier so he 'died a happy clone'. Naruto smiled at that rolling his eyes.
Rokushō stopped spinning he felt a little dizzy but it was nothing a lot of anger couldn't remedy. He began sending more bolts of electricity at the two genin switching from shooting at Naruto to his left to shooting at Hinata on his right. Naruto created a clone to tank an ark that came very close to electrocuting him and Aoi grounded his teeth shooting more bolts.
'Does that sword only shoot out bolts of electricity? I would have thought a sword like that would have katas and special techniques or was that the only trick he knew?" Hinata wondered as she watched Rokushō closely. It seemed as though all he could do with the sword was shoot out lightning bolts or a continuous lightning bolt that he could use as a whip.
Hinata did a tiger tail side flip with her hands on the ground to dodge a bolt of lightning shot at her, her blade slinking back into the seal in her arm. Landing on her feet she did a backflip to dodge a bolt aimed at her feet only to perform another backflip to escape a bolt aimed at her feet again. Jumping out of the way of another bolt and landing on her hands she pushed herself up doing a double backflip in one spot before landing on her feet.
Hinata resolved herself and dashed to reach Rokushō with an idea popping up in her head an idea she knew only one other person would beat her to. She looked over at him and grimaced.
Naruto made five clones and they all jumped into the air. A clone grabbed Naruto's legs and spun around like a top, the four clones summoned copying his act to build momentum.
"Aghhhhhhhh ah!" The second clone threw his clone projectile with all his strength at Rokushō. Rokushō seeing the clone projectile swiped his blade wide to dispel it but it popped just close enough to block his view of the other Narutos.
The third, spun three more times before letting go, sending his clone projectile out. "Aghhhhhh haa!" The clone reaching Rokushō in seconds had it bursting through the cloud of smoke which caused a surprised Rokushō to swipe his sword back to dispel it leaving himself wide open.
The first clone holding the original released his human projectile a second after the third did. Wishing his original Godspeed, the clone thought the man was crazy but wouldn't admit it out loud because it would give people the idea he knew he was crazy.
"YOU'RE ONE CRAZY PERSON UZUMAKI NARUTO!!!!" The first clone released the original grinning like a lunatic before he dispelled. Naruto soared like he has never soared before in his life. He had the memory of the experience but that was like watching a very detailed movie.
"T-thi this izz s-stupid I-I am c-crazy." Naruto was grinding his teeth as his whole face including the baby fat he still had in his cheeks flapped against the air pressure. The experience did not last very long but Naruto will admit it as humbly as possible.
"I-mmmmh s-so baaaddd a-asssss." Then he felt pain but what mattered was the fact he gave more than he took he grinned as he speared Aoi Rokushō straight into the ground. Along the way, he got electrocuted so he screamed along with his new partner getting welcomed into a world of pain.
"Naruto-Kun!" Hinata called out to her best friend in worry, moving to his latest position. When she saw him summon five clones and jump up along with them she thought it was just a harmless strategy, when the clone grabbed Naruto's legs and began spinning Hinata had a bad feeling. When Naruto soared, Hinata slapped her forehead in exasperation.
"He is so reckless." Hinata mumbled worriedly as she got to the giant cloud of dust and debris, which she entered without a second thought leading her to the center of a 10-yard crater. "Naruto-Kun!" Hinata called out for him.
"O-over here!" Naruto's hand broke out of a pile of rocks and Hinata dashed to his location in the blink of an eye, to help him out. Helping pull Naruto out of the pile Hinata saw in his free hand he had his grasp on seaweed-colored hair.
Naruto after dragging the unconscious body of Rokushō out of the pile of rocks dropped down on his ass and then his back. Hinata crouched down next to his head and looked down at Naruto who was breathing deeply.
"Sup, Hime?" Naruto grinned up at Hinata raising a protesting hand. He brought the hand, palm up facing Hinata expecting her to slap it. Hinata raised her hands and brought them down, passing Naruto's outstretched hand and going to his cheeks before pinching them and pulling.
"Ouch ouch ouch.." Naruto began protesting as his cheeks got pinched, pulled, and stretched. "What was that for!" He asked when the pain subsided but Hinata hadn't let go of his cheeks.
"Sometimes you are more trouble than what you're worth. Naruto-Kun." Hinata told the blonde below her with a sigh.
Naruto irritated by Hinata and her cryptic double meaningful answers grabbed her arm and pulled her down, the girl cried out in shock as she dropped and ended up falling on Naruto, the position was very intimate.
Hinata, to stop her face from knocking into Naruto's face had placed the back of her arms on his chest almost knocking the wind out of him with her elbows. Naruto wrapped his arms around Hinata's back as she lay flat on his body.
Hinata seeing the position they were in blushed 9 different shades of pink one right after the other, they were so close the only space between them was the one between their faces, Hinata tried getting up but Naruto spoke.
"I missed you." He told her making Hinata stop in her tracks, and look down at Naruto but only seeing his outline and the chakra in his body if she concentrated more she would see his Tenkentsu and pathway.
"I was so worried, I thought you would never wake up." Naruto explained and Hinata felt his heartbeat increase as his Chakra began behaving like a crashing wave. "You were unresponsive for a whole week." Naruto revealed to her with her eyes widening at the revelation. Naruto squeezed her closer to him.
"N-Naruto-Kun.." Hinata was blushing so much now she had turned red, the position she found herself in was very compromising and the clothes she had on at the moment didn't help the situation at all. Two buttons had loosened on her shirt and now some cleavage was showing with her arms between her chest and Naruto's chest her developing breasts were being squeezed forward emphasizing the mounds.
"Hime, I didn't know what to do and I thought about what you said." At his reminder of what happened before Hinata went into a week-long coma, Hinata turned scarlet and deactivated her Byakugan closing her eyes while looking away.
Naruto seeing Hinata's embarrassment released an arm from the Hyuga heiress's back and raised himself into a sitting position with that arm supporting his and Hinata's weight. Changing position with Hinata now straddling his sitting form with her on his lap.
"I have never felt like this before, I didn't know what to call this feeling at first, but that week of thinking and comparing helped me realize why I was so jealous of Sasuke, why I was so worried I would lose you and why It hurt me so much when I thought you and Sasuke kissed." Hinata's eyes were widening per word. Naruto raised his hand to her cheek and rubbed the flesh around it, turning her head to face him. He noticed the veins had left her eyes and the pitch-black hue her eyes had were back to charcoal.
Naruto didn't know what came over him at that moment but when he looked into Hinata's eyes he only felt one urge and he acted on it. Hinata's eyes widened comically when she felt a breath very close to her face.
'Naruto-Kun is going to kiss me!' Hinata thought frantic her heartbeat increasing, her logic deciding to vacate the premises only left her even more lost on what to do before she felt warm lips press up against hers. Hinata closed her eyes and let happiness take over her body as she pressed her lips against his returning the kiss.
'Oh no Ino-Chan!' That happiness died a very quick death, it didn't even make it out of her body to grow into a bonfire before it was cruelly trampled on by reality and Hinata felt a pang in her heart as she separated from the kiss. Naruto looked at her in confusion, he tried going in for another kiss but she turned her head At the last second causing him to kiss her cheek.
"Hime?" Naruto questioned and Hinata just wanted to turn around and throw herself at him, but she held strong for a friend waiting at home for the boy she loved. Naruto not knowing what was going on in Hinata's mind and not getting into the same realization due to being in Hinata Ville once more only chuckled nervously.
"Oh right." Hinata looked back at Naruto, the blush on her face had gone down leaving only a pink tint on her cheeks. She couldn't even stop herself from pressing her fingers together in old habits. "I'm in Lo…mmmh mhhh." Hinata's hands had shot up to Naruto's mouth the second the L word came into play.
'Don't say it, don't say it.' Hinata begged with all her heart for him not to say what she wished so much to hear him say. Hinata herself could tell you how silly that sounded. She looked at Naruto in his confused eyes not seeing a thing and shook her head, a frown on her face that wanted so much to turn upside down.
"You can't say it Naruto-Kun, you have someone waiting for you back in the village. I told you, my feelings were not meant for your ears but you are stubborn Naruto Uzumaki." Hinata explained her behavior before removing a hand from his mouth coming closer she kissed the back of her other hand still above his mouth.
Naruto watched as Hinata kissed her hand blocking his lips before removing It and smiling at him as she stood up straight. Naruto missed her position on his lap immediately as he followed her with his eyes before standing up himself, at least he healed but honestly speaking he couldn't fight again if he wanted to.
"I don't understand Hinata-Chan," Naruto admitted eyes squinting in confusion and Hinata smiled sweetly at him as she came forward.
"I-I L-love Naruto-Kun, but so does Ino-Chan." At Hinata's words, Naruto's eyes widened in shock, and guilt was quick to follow as he looked away from Hinata.
'Ino.' Naruto thought in shame at what he had just done and even worse horror at what he felt.
"I can see Tsunami-San and Inari-Kun in the distance with a clone. We should go to them." Hinata informed changing the subject, she wanted to comfort Naruto but she knew all it would do was complicate things even more.
'Naruto-Kun loves me.' Hinata's heart skipped a beat just thinking about it and she had to fight back a smile that threatened to appear on her face.
"You go on ahead I have somewhere I need to be." Naruto told Hinata as he faced Aoi Rokushō's dead body the man's face still stuck in a grimace from the impact. Hinata noticed Naruto was not ready to face her and frowned. He had that reckless air around him again.
"You're not going to do anything dangerous are you?" She asked him with worry in her voice and Naruto chuckled nervously rubbing the back of his head.
"No, no nothing dangerous." He told her and she gave him a long look. "For a ninja." He added with a sigh of defeat.
"You promise?" Hinata walked up close to him and took a hand in hers, worry written all over her face and Naruto grimaced when his mind told him she looked beautiful when she worried about him.
"I promise Hinata-Chan." Naruto gave her a toothy grin to blow away her worries and it worked like a charm as she smiled at him and gave him one firm nod.
"See you around?" Naruto asked and Hinata smiled giving his hand a reassuring squeeze before letting go but then Naruto grabbed her hand before bending down and kissing the back of her palm.
"Y-yes see you later." Hinata squeaked out with a blush, she reprimanded herself for being so jumpy and quickly dashed over to where she could see Tsunami and Inari's signature with a clone of Naruto's.
Naruto watched Hinata go before sighing and rubbing the back of his head in disbelief, he couldn't believe he was just checking out Hinata's backside. That was a first but the pants she wore would take all the blame, they fit the Hyuga so well that Naruto noticed every curve.
Looking down at the down form of Rokuchō, Naruto pulled out a scroll and sealed the body inside, he walked a few feet away and crouched down to grab the handle of the sword of the thunder spirit/God.
"Now to find Gatō and make him a business proposal." Just then Naruto received memories from the clone he had given to Itachi and he grimaced, things were looking hectic on that side but his help wouldn't be needed. At that thought, his mind made up Naruto leaped into a tree branch before jumping to the next and repeating the process heading to Gatō's mansion.

'Zabuza-Sama.' Haku summoned every ounce of chakra he had left in him, willing to use every last drop of it to save his master. The person who gave his life meaning when there wasn't any. 'He won't die!' Haku grit his teeth pushing everything he had into the effort of creating ice and when his chakra depleted to zero Haku gasped when it began rising in negative numbers.
Haku had a sudden realization as a dark whisper reminded him of something he should not have forgotten, something he should have always known how to do.
"Time out." Haku whispered, his breath coming out frosty and the world froze.
'My heart is beating backward, and I feel so warm.' Haku realized with a sickening smile frozen on his face. His heart now beating a different tone Haku felt elated his body felt so warm he felt like sharing it.
Haku's body suddenly and unexpectedly built a thick layer of ice, covering his body from head to toe in a roughly human shape wearing body armor. Unfinished Shoulder-guards, bulky thigh guards, and a cracked mid-guard.
Then Haku ran, he took a step before his body broke into particles of frost moving at speeds Haku never thought possible or was it because he froze time? He didn't know but when he arrived in front of Zabuza time seemed to resume.
"Zabuza-Sama." Haku's voice was unheard as he arrived in front of Zabuza, taking the downward strike Itachi had planned to do to Zabuza what it couldn't do to him.
Haku saw Itachi's Sharingan widen it scanned every feature in his new appearance in seconds, Itachi's Tantō broke against the ice armor making up every part of Haku's body. Itachi caught sight of the pieces of his broken Tantō freezing in mid-air
Itachi jumped back and away from the senbon-like projectiles that appeared between him and the armored foe.
'Who is this person, I have never seen an ice user cover themselves in ice armor like this before' Itachi wondered and continued jumping back, able to see the projectiles shoot at him and dodge them efficiently.
"Haku." Zabuza whispered in shock, eyes wide and mouth open in a '0' shape. A fly could have come in there done its business and left in peace.
"What the!!" Zabuza jumped back and away from Haku his fingers getting frost bites just by being too close to him even the blood running down his wounds was beginning to freeze up.
On the other side of Haku Itachi stopped dodging at his 15th dodge and attempted to lock eyes with the armored boy of ice, surprising him with how easy it was to place him in a hypnotic genjutsu that had him drop like a block of ice. Itachi looked at the hand he wielded the Tantō in and found frostbites on the tips.
Zabuza and Itachi locked eyes with Haku laying unconscious between them. Sasuke exhausted sat a few feet behind Zabuza and a stand-off seemed to occur both shinobi coiled their muscles ready to react at a moment's notice. They moved at the same time, each with a guess as to what the other might be planning each having their solutions to stop it.
Itachi would admit in that situation he wasn't looking underneath the underneath. He expected Zabuza to attack Sasuke because he assumed Zabuza did not care for his partner now laying there unconscious. The ice melted away but very slowly, Itachi could only catch it due to the amount of information the Sharingan could recognize at a glance.
Itachi skidded to a stop in front of Sasuke, facing away from him as he faced Zabuza who now stood with Haku in his hands gritting his teeth as tears of pain threatened to fall down his right eye. Haku was so cold, holding him was slowly freezing Zabuza's hands.
Itachi pulled out the kunai Naruto had given him and threw it on the floor the clone popped into existence in the image of its owner and faced the situation seriously, it had heard everything even though he couldn't see, it was not the time for games.
"Naruto-Kun what is the situation with the original." Itachi asked his students doppelgänger.
"He was in a fight with Aoi Rokushō, He has a clone with Tazuna-Sans family." Itachi nodded since the clone did not sound panicked he would assume Naruto was okay and good.
"What is the situation with Aoi Rokushō?" The clone grinned at the question and gave Itachi a big thumbs-up. "The situation is AOK!" He said happily and Itachi nodded Sasuke just scoffed at the blonde, his fight was way cooler than whatever the 'dobe' had.
'Rokushō lost.' Zabuza wondered shocked that his partner lost to the blonde brat.
'Who is this kid?, Zabuza wondered looking the blonde over, at first sight, he seemed like your usual brat with clones to hide behind. But the fact was he spied on them for a week, he tailed Haku and spent a week on Gatō's face who knew all the things he learned about Gatō's dealings.
'And now he defeats Aoi' Zabuza bared his teeth in anger looking torn between two very difficult decisions, the inner monologues were lengthy and unapologetic Zabuza berated himself from both sides of the argument and explained his reasonings to his heart and mind.
"Tsk" Zabuza raised his hands getting the attention of the Konoha ninjas as he performed the tiger seal. "What is your name brat?" Zabuza demanded from the Kyuubi Jinchuriki, and he didn't have to wait long.
"Naruto Uzumaki!" Naruto boasted like he had some kind of great toy the other kids didn't have and Zabuza sneered at the blonde turning to Sasuke.
"You hurt Haku I will one day return that favor Uchiha…….. Water Release: Hiding in Mist Technique." Zabuza's form began getting foggy as the mist around him grew. Itachi seeing Zabuza try to make his escape with the 'I live to avenge another day' ninja mentality called out his jutsu.
"Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu." The flames flew out of Itachi's mouth in a stream as it moved forward forming into a Giant 30-foot fireball. The fireball flew inside the mist but Itachi heard no indication of his enemy getting hit.
Zabuza Momochi ran from a battle, he abandoned the mission to save what he now saw as not only a tool but a teammate and a friend. In the ninja world he would be called a scum, in Kakashi's perfect world he would be called a hero. In Zabuza's eyes, he was a coward but he did not mind the title to save someone precious to him.
Naruto's clone looked back at Sasuke's sitting form and he felt sorry for the guy, he looked bad plus he did win against Haku, and because he felt great about everything that happened he moved over to Sasuke and offered him a shoulder, helping him stand up and bringing him to Itachi's side.
"Naruto-Kun dispel and inform the original of the situation, we will be at the House soon." The clone nodded and puffed out of existence and Itachi looked over to Sasuke ruffing his hair very proud of his little brother's strength.
Sasuke after giving Itachi a second to ruffle his hair slapped it off looking up to glare at his brother only to get poked on his forehead protector.
"You made the Uchiha clan proud today." Itachi told his little brother in a voice that only spoke of his pride for him and Sasuke drank it all up like a sponge.
"Hn." Sasuke responded in gratitude the only way their father Fugaku Uchiha knew how.
"You are gonna build a habit Sasuke." Itachi warned his brother who thought he was jealous he could never get their father's signature grunt right and Itachi shook his head at the silence.
"Come, you can ride on my back, you shouldn't be moving around too much with your injuries." Itachi told his younger brother as he walked in front of him and bent to a knee giving Sasuke his back.
"Climb on." Itachi offered, he knew his younger brother had his 'cool image' to keep up but he still quite enjoyed all those days he carried Sasuke on his back as a child.
'What is he doing?' Sasuke thought aghast before pouting, he wasn't a little kid anymore what would he say if his team or any of the other rookie 9 if they saw him in such a degrading position?
'But I am injured, and I shouldn't be moving around too much, Maybe that's a good enough excuse to be up there.' Sasuke reasoned with himself and walked up to Itachi's back placing his legs through the circles Itachi made with his arms on his sides and Sasuke let his weight drop.
Itachi smiled as he jumped a few times to get Sasuke's limp hands to rest on his shoulders before asking. "How are your shoulders?" Sasuke shrugged them and winced causing Itachi to nod in understanding.
"Good fight Sasuke-Kun." Itachi told his younger brother before dashing off to find Tazuna and after that, they would go after Gatō. Only with him gone would Wave county's troubles be over.

Gatō had been hiding in his room the whole day he placed all his bodyguards and paid mercenaries either outside his windows, or cramped up in the corridors leading to his room.
He was still shaking he had many thoughts going through his mind like running, but could he outrun a ninja? he didn't have any horses to use so his chances were nonexistent at best and suicidal at worst.
He thought about betraying them but he wasn't foolish enough to think any amount of what amounts to civilians with weapons who name themselves mercenaries would be able to take on not one but three ninjas.
'What if they decide to kill me and take all my riches.' Gatō was panicking at that last thought it wasn't something he took for a joke Gatō believes if the clothes make the man then the money makes the clothes.
'I have to come out of this alive.' Gatō thought with conviction, he had to live he wasn't ready to die yet.
"Hello Gatō-San, please don't mind my intrusion I'm only here to be of service." Gatō whipped his head to the ceiling only to lock gazes with blue eyes connected to a toothy grinning face.
"Boo!"
