Tagtree Thicket
The group continued travelling north up East Province Area Three on the Starmobile while Lincoln, Ronnie Anne, and Lynn walk by it. A thought came into Lynn's mind. (a/n: We know, a thought coming into Lynn Jr's mind. We find that hard to believe ourselves.) She turned towards Ronnie Anne.
"Hey, Ronnie Anne. Where's your skateboard?" asked Lynn. Ronnie Anne facepalms.
"Dang it. I left it on the boat." replied Ronnie Anne. "I was so focused on finding Lincoln that I forgot about it."
"Sorry, Ronnie Anne." said Lincoln.
"It's okay, Lincoln. It's not your fault." said Ronnie Anne. 'Just like it wasn't your fault Lynn lost that dumb game.' Minutes later, they arrived at Tagtree Thicket. The group hopped off the Starmobile just as Lincoln, Ronnie Anne, and Lynn catch up. The group looked around the area.
"This place literally looks nice." said Lori.
"Yeah. It doesn't look like Team Star didn't do any damage to it." said Lincoln. Lisa was looking at strange markings on a tree.
"What are these markings on this tree?" asked Lisa. Ed runs over to the tree.
"Ooh, I know!" said Ed. A shocked look appeared on Lisa's face.
"You...do?" asked Lisa.
"Yeah. I saw a video about it. They were left by a Grafaiai." said Ed.
"Yes. You see, everyone, this is how Grafaiai's mark their territory." said Edd, motioning towards the markings. "The markings give off a sweet scent that draws in bug Pokemon. But the markings are poisonous, rendering any Pokemon that tastes it to become immobilized, allowing the Grafaiai to consume it."
"Cool." said Lana.
"Fascinating." said Lisa. She suddenly hears rustling nearby. She looks to see an orangutanlike Pokemon with light gray hands, feets, and snout with what appeared to be a purple, furry cape while holding a fan made of green leaves. "What is this Pokemon?" Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Oranguru, the Sage Pokemon. People used to mistake Oranguru for a human when they saw it issue command after command to the other Pokémon of the forest." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone. Edd points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Oranguru, the Sage Pokemon. This Pokémon lives quietly in the depths of the forest. The purple, cape-like fur gets longer and longer as Oranguru ages." said Edd's Rotom Phone.
"I've read about Orangurus, dude." said Kyle. "They're said to be extremely intelligent."
"Sounds like your kind of Pokemon, Lis." said Luna. Lisa scratches her chin.
"Perhaps I would like to make this Pokemon an addition to my team." said Lisa. She turned towards Edd. "Would you please assist me in acquiring this Pokemon?"
"I will be happy to assist you." said Edd. He pulls a pokeball out of his pocket. "Oranguru is part normal and part psychic type, so Spidops will be an excellent choice. Spidops, please assist." He throws a pokemon and releases his Spidops. "Spidops, Bug Bite!" Spidops lunges at Oranguru and bites it, dealing super effective damage to it. The Oranguru closes its eyes and begins to glow brightly. "Spidops, use Assurance!" Spidop leaps at Oranguru and rams it, dealing super effective damage. Oranguru's fan leaves glow purple and it thrusts the fan forwards. Spidops becomes surrounded by a purple light and gets knocked back. "Oh my. I believe this Oranguru used Confusion. Well we won't let that prevent us from battling. Spidop, use Bug Bite!" Spidops leaps at Oranguru and bites it, dealing super effective damage to it. Oranguru drops to one knee. Edd turned towards Lisa. "I believe Oranguru is vulnerable enough for you to obtain."
"Thank you, Double-D." said Lisa. She pulls an empty pokeball out of her backpack and throws it at Oranguru, hitting it and sucking it in. It wiggled around a few times before it clicks, indicating Oranguru's capture. Lisa picks up the pokeball. "Eureka! I have obtained Oranguru."
"Congrats, Lisa." said Luan. Edd uses his Rotom Phone to look up Oranguru's information.
"Your Oranguru is male, he knows Confusion, Taunt, After You, Calm Mind, Stored Power, Psych Up, and Quash." said Edd. "He has the Telepathy ability which prevents damage caused by attacks by his teammates."
"Why would a team member hurt him?" asked Lynn.
"You see, there are some moves that hurts multiple targets, even Pokemon that battle alongside them." said Edd.
"Well, that stinks." said Lynn. Luna looks around to see a Tera Den nearby.
"Hey, a Tera Den." said Luna. She runs towards it with Kyle and Sam chasing after her.
"Wait up, dude." said Kyle. Luna, Sam, and Kyle reached the Tera Den and walks into it. A few minutes later, the Tera Den disappears, showing the three standing where it was. Sam sees berries and three Star Pieces on the ground. "Hey, Star Pieces. Those are worth a lot of money." Luna picks up the Star Pieces and berries and the three return to the others.
"How did it go?" asked Lincoln.
"Awesome. Check out my new Pokemon." said Luna as she throws a pokeball, releasing a white, bear cublike Pokemon with a light blue head, and light blue mucus hanging out of its nose. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the Pokekmon.
"Cubchoo, the Chill Pokemon. Many of this species can be found along the shorelines of cold regions. If a Cubchoo lacks dangling snot, there's a chance it is sick." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone. Edd points his Rotom Phone at Cubchoo.
"Cubchoo, the Chill Pokemon. When Cubchoo starts sneezing, watch out! If it spatters you with its frosty snot, you'll get frostbite." said Edd's Rotom Phone. Luna walks to Lincoln and holds out two of the three Star Pieces she found at the Tera Den.
"Here, bro. This should help pay you back for the food and motels you paid for me." said Luna.
"Thanks, Luna." said Lincoln, taking the Star Pieces. As everyone continues on through Tagtree Thicket, a coconut comes flying out of the top of the tree and hits Eddy's forehead.
"Ouch!" exclaimed Eddy.
"What did that?" asked Ed. They all look up into the tree and see a tall, black and white, simian Pokemon that was wearing half a coconut shell on its head. It jumps out of the tree and grabs the coconut that hit Eddy.
"What's that Pokemon?" asked Luan. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Passimian, the Teamwork Pokemon. This Pokémon battles by throwing hard berries. It won't obey a Trainer who throws Poké Balls without skill." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone. Edd takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Passimian.
"Passimian, the Teamwork Pokemon. The boss chooses 10 members of the group to go out hunting. The hunting party will evenly split the food they find with the rest of the group." said Edd's Rotom Phone.
"Seems like this Pokemon likes being a team player." said Edd. The Passimian starts running in place while holding the coconut he threw before like a football player with a football. Lynn looked very interested in Passimian.
"A Pokemon that likes being on a team and seems like a star athlete sounds like its one that I wouldn't mind having on my team." said Lynn. She takes out her Crabrawler's pokeball and throws it, releasing her. Passimian looks at Lynn's throw with interest before getting into a battle stance similar to a football player.
"Get it, Lynn!" said Lana.
"Okay. Crabrawler! Use Leer!" said Lynn. Crabrawler gives the Passimian a cold stare, lowering its defense. The Passimian jumps up into the air and comes down with an overhead pound onto Crabrawler's head. Crabrawler's body goes a little limp from it. "We're not gonna take that from some monkey!"
"You show it, Lynn!" said Lola.
"Crabrawler, use Brick Break!" said Lynn. Crabrawler swings its claws at the Passimian, striking its chest, and makes it stumble back. The Passimian reacts by running up to Crabrawler and hits it a lot, not doing a lot of damage. "Crabrawler, use Bubblebeam!" Crabrawler opens one of her claws and releases a stream of bubbles which strikes the Passimian. It starts to look a little sluggish after the hit.
"I think you can capture it now, Lynn." said Lincoln. Lynn takes her last empty pokeball out of her backpack and gets ready to throw it as if it were a baseball. The Passimian watches her pitching stance with interest. Lynn throws the pokeball at the Passimian and hits it. The pokeball sucks Passimian in and wiggles a few times before clicking, indicating a successful capture. Lynn runs over to the pokeball and picks it up.
"Look what I caught!" said Lynn as she holds out the pokeball.
"Awesome job, Lynn." said Lincoln. He looks at his Rotom Phone to see Passimian's information. "This says your Passimian's a boy, he knows Tackle, Leer, Rock Smash, Focus Energy, Beat Up, Scary Face, and Take Down. He also has the Receiver ability which gives him the ability of any of your Pokemon that gets defeated during a battle."
"So, if by some chance that my Crabrawler gets KO'd, Passimian will get her Iron Fist ability?" asked Lynn.
"Exactly." said Lincoln.
"Sweet!" said Lynn. Lola looks around and sees a Tera Den nearby.
"What's in there?" asked Lola. She walks towards it with Edd walking after her.
"Be careful, Lola." said Lori. Lola and Edd reach the den and walked inside it. Once inside, they encounter a crystallized, white and light blue, squirrel-like Pokemon. Lola looks at the Pokemon with glee. "It's so cute!" Edd pulls out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Pachirisu, the EleSquirrel Pokemon. A pair may be seen rubbing their cheek pouches together in an effort to share stored electricity." said Edd's Rotom Phone. Lola turned towards Edd.
"Help me catch this Pokemon, Double D." said Lola, pointing at Pachirisu.
"Very well." said Edd. "Judging by the lightbulb on its head, its Tera Form must be an electric type." He pulls a pokeball out of his pocket. "Dolliv, please assist." He throws Dolliv's pokeball and releases her. Lola pulls a pokeball out of her backpack.
"Come out, Deerling." said Lola, throwing Deerling's pokeball and releasing her. "I want to avoid training Teddiursa so she won't evolve until I find an Everstone."
"If that's what you desire." said Edd. Pachirisu charges at Deerling with incredible speed and rams her. "Hey!"
"I believe that was Quick Attack." said Edd. "Dolliv, use Grassy Terrain!" Dolliv releases hundreds of glowing green seeds from her body and onto the den floor. Grass begins growing out from the ground. "Now our Pokemon's grass type attacks should become stronger."
"Good. Deerling, Energy Ball!" said Lola. Deerling opens her mouth and forms a ball of green energy from it and launches it at Pachirisu, hitting it, dealing more damage than it normally would due to Grassy Terrain powering up all grass type moves. Deerling and Pachirisu glow green, and their wounds heal from Grassy Terrain. "Oh, right, Grassy Terrain heals all Pokemon, even the opponents." Pachirisu becomes surrounded by electricty and it charges at Dolliv, ramming her, but not doing much damage.
"Dolliv, Energy Ball!" said Edd. Dolliv holds out her arms and forms a green ball of energy on them. Dolliv throws the Energy Ball at Pachirisu, hitting it.
"Deerling, Bullet Seed!" said Lola. Deerling releases a barrage of glowing yellow seeds from her mouth, and they hit Pachirisu. Grassy Terrain heals a bit of Dolliv and Pachirisu's wounds. Pachirisu puts both its paws in front of its mouth and blows a kiss at Deerling, releasing a pink heart and it hits Deerling. Deerling begins stumbling around. "What's wrong with Deerling?"
"That move must've been Sweet Kiss. It confuses the Pokemon hit with it." said Edd. "Dolliv, Seed Bomb!" Dolliv forms a large glowing green seed in her arms and throws it at Pachirisu, hitting it. Its Tera Form shatters, and it begins stumbling around. "Catch it, Lola." Lola takes out her remaining empty pokeball and she throws it at Pachirisu, hittting it and sucking it in. After it wiggled around a few times, it clicks, indicating a successful capture. Lola picks up Pachirisu's pokeball. "Yeah, baby! Pachirisu's mine!"
"Well done, Lola." said Edd. He and Lola exit the Tera Den, which vanishes, leaving several berries and two Big Pearls behind. Lola picks them up and puts one of the Big Pearls in her backpack but holds on to the other to give to Lincoln. Edd uses his Rotom Phone to look up Pachirisu's information. "This says your Pachirisu's an electric type, it's a female, she knows Growl, Thunder Shock, Quick Attack, Charm, Spark, Endure, Nuzzle, Swift, Electro Ball, Sweet Kiss, Thunder Wave, and Seed Bomb. She has the Pickup ability."
"So, she can find some stuff just like Lucy's Greavard?" asked Lola.
"Precisely." said Edd. "And since Pachirisu has no evolved form of herself, she won't become a scary-looking Pokemon like Teddiursa."
"Well, that's a relief." said Lola. They rejoin the rest of the group, and Lola gives Lincoln one of the Big Pearls she got from the Tera Den.
"How far until we get to that Team Star base?" asked Bobby.
"I'd say about a minute or two." said Edd.
"Well, let's hurry up then." said Lynn. The group, except for Lincoln, Lynn, and Ronnie Anne; climb back into the Starmobile and continue on their journey.
