"But honestly, you aren't really bothered by that fact. Heck, you might even be a little excited. This guy's boss can't be that powerful if he's running around Kowloon level 1. But he should definitely be stronger than the Elecmon guy.
More data for your digimon to munch on and get stronger then.
You cast a glance up at the Zaxxon members lounging around, and feeling a little cheeky, you gave them a little theatrical bow, before standing back up fully and making your way deeper into Kowloon.
It took you a few minutes of walking to traverse the large area, and you kept a wary eye on any Zaxxon members you walked by, but you got through the area without incident and made it into the next.
Walking out into a hallway like crossroad. A trio of paths leading to different areas, one going north, one east, and the other west. But right in the middle, there was a familiar hacker. Elecmon guy, who was practically towering beneath a a tall well built guy wearing a sleeveless dark hoodie that showed thickly muscled arms and his hood hiding the majority of his face.
As soon as they saw you walking in, Elecmon guy tugged on the guys hoodie, "That's him boss!" he whined, "That's the guy who jumped me and stole my Elecmon's data!"
The 'boss' growled and spat to the side, and even with the hood over his eyes you could feel them glaring into you, "So you're the cunt that's messin' with ma boii's then!?"
Only one actually. But you didn't like this cunt's attitude.
"Yeah you got a problem with that, 'boss'?" you mockingly drew out his title. the only boss in this room is you.
"Watch that mouth of yours cunt," 'Boss' sneered back, "Anymore of that lip and I'll smash your head in and delete your digimon."
You snorted, "Come on then," you taunted, raising a hand and curling it in the 'bring it on gesture', "Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough."
"Oh that's fucking it!" 'Boss' shouted, raising up a red digivice, he pressed a button on front and reloaded a digimon.
A wall of thick red muscle appeared and towered above you, the ground shaking beneath your feet as the beast. landed on its thick, clawed feet after leaving its digivice. Opening its giant maw wide, it let loose a roar that shook your bones.
'Oh fuck!' your eyes widened. Because towering above you was a mother fucking Tyrannomon.
Your visor automatically scanned it. Champion level, data type, main attacks were Fire Breath, Slash Claw, Dino Kick and Wild Buster.
With a roar, it lunged forward, bringing its claw down intending on grabbing you. It was rebuffed, only by your digimon practically exploding out of your digivice, Black Agumon hitting it back with a Mach Jab to the face. Your three digimon landed before you, lined up, and ready to fight against the champion that had threatened you.
In an instant, you deployed your Goblimon club and pointed at the towering crimson red dinosaur, "DemiDevimon, hypnotise it!" you barked an order in a split moment, before turning your attention to your other two digimon, "Both of you hit it with your strongest attacks with me!"
DemiDevimon zipped up into the air rapidly, not even bothering to waste time with confirming your orders. "Evil Whisper!" he shouted, firing the hypnotic red waves from his eyes.
Tyrannomon was too big to avoid it, but not to try and counter. "Fire Breath!" the giant dino roared, spitting out a massive wave of flames that DemiDevimon couldn't hope to avoid.
The little bat squealed in pain, falling to the ground, body singed and smoking, but he did his job and Tyrannomon slumped over.
White hot rage filled you veins, and you barely even noticed as the crackling bolts of electricity ran across your club. A roar resounded through the area and it was only as you slashed your club through the air, unleashing a massive bolt of electricity that you realized it was you who was doing it.
"ELECTRIC STUN BLAST!"
Your massive bolt of electricity slammed into the towering dino with enough force to blow it off its feet. And your other two digimon weren't far behind you.
"Electric Stun Blast!" Gazimon followed your lead, unleashing a bolt of power even bigger than your own.
"Spitfire Blast!" while Agumon let loose a deluge of flames that could very well have matched the intensity of Tyrannomon's Fire Breath attack.
Despite all three powerful attacks though, Tyrannomon still lived. It was groaning in pain and struggling to get up, but still it lived.
A snarl left your lips. This fucking cunt. How dare it hurt your digimon!
"Stop fooling around Tyrannomon you moron!" 'Boss' shouted angrily at the downed dino digimon, "Just use your damn Wild Buster and kill them all!"
No way mate, not on your watch.
"Gazimon, again!" you barked at your newest digimon. You lifted your club up above your head once again, filling it with the power you gained defeated Gazimon's previous incarnation.
The bunny wolf cross combo followed your lead, body erupting with crackling electricity and as one, you both unleashed massive twin bolts of electricity that bowled into the yrannomon and washed over it before it could fully get to its feet.
It roared in pain and you saw its limbs lock up as it once again fell, this time landing on its face.
"Pile on it boys!" you roared.
DemiDevimon jumped up into the air, ignoring the burns on his body, three syringe spears tossed from his feet and shooting through the air, stabbing into the downed Tyrannomon drawing another roar of pain.
That roar of pain was cut off as Black Agumon sprinted forward like a velociraptor, quite a bit faster than you yourself knew you could run and smashed a glowing clawed fist right through its eye, "Mach Jab!"
Tyrannomon gave a loud gurgle of pain, before exploding into a small lakes worth of floating data flakes.
"NO!" 'Boss' screamed, dropping to his knees, "I payed a hundred and fifty thousand yen for that stupid thing!"
Elecmon boy whimpered, tugging hastily on 'Boss's hoodie, "Boss quick, we gotta go!" he pulled his leader up, 'Boss' growling all the way, but relenting after a moment, he spat at you before sprinting off.
You'd get that cunt next time. You weren't about to let it go that he hurt one of your boys.
That was a tough fight. DemiDevimon could have been destroyed if he took just one more attack. You were lucky you think, that the hacker was too much of a little bitch to get involved.
You need to get some pure power on your side, so the best bet for now is;
"Agumon," you said, catching your digimon's attention and pointed at the massive amount of data, "I want you to load it all yourself for now, the pure strength you get from it should be enough to even you out against any more high level digimon we run in to."
"Got it boss!" Black Agumon chirped, drawing the data towards his body.
You turned to your other digimon and made your way over to DemiDevimon just in time for his wings to give out slightly from the burns on them and land in your arms, "You okay buddy?" you gently pat him on the head, concern on your face as you looked him over.
"I'm fine boss," at your concerned look he puffed out his chest, "Really boss, it was a hard hit, but I'm fine."
You sighed and shook your head, "Fine, but no more fighting for you for now little buddy," you told him, lifting up your digivice, "You take a rest in here, and if you really wanna continue, try hacking that first guys digivice, he might have a skill we need in it that will be super helpful."
DemiDevimon sighed and nodded, "Fine boss." he relented and you returned him to the digivice.
You turned to Gazimon next and patted him on the head with a smile, "Great job on your first fight buddy!" you congratulated him.
He preened beneath your touch and puffed out his chest in pride, "Of course boss!" he replied, "How could I not be great when I'm your digimon?"
You laughed, "Right you are buddy!" After giving him a few more pats you returned him to your digivice to rest and heal up before turning your attention to Black Agumon.
His clawed hands were clasped tightly, and he looked up at you, "Boss...I feel...AMAZING!" he punched one arm out and you literally felt the wind shift from the force of the blow, "I feel like I could smack that Tyrannomon around all by myself now, easily!"
You smirked, "Good, just what I wanted then." you replied, "You'll be the vanguard in our fights and hopefully take out everything we fight fast so we can get a bunch of data for your brothers to reach your level quickly."
Black Agumon pumped his fist in the air before saluted you, "Aye aye boss!" he happily replied, "Just point me to who I need to beat up!"
You laughed around with him a bit before returning him to the digivice as well for now. It's too bad you didn't have the Function Call hacker skill, and you're kicking yourself now for not just buying it when you had the chance.
With it, you could set up a lure that drew all digimon in the area too weak to resist the program to it. With Black Agumon's new strength, he could probably defeat multiple digimon in one or two Spitfire Blast's.
You could head to the Digimarket, that was where you bought the programs you had before. and that guy did mention he literally bought that Tyrannomon there, so there could be some decent Digimon within your budget kicking around there.
Deciding to continue on on what you were doing already, it seemed like there were very few digimon kicking around Kowloon level 1. It took you over an hour to find any, and when you did, it was to find another Betamon, fighting over a data cache with a Hagurumon, both wanting the strength boost downloading it would no doubt give them.
Only, neither were paying much attention, and both you and Agumon fell on them before they realized what was going on and were defeated with ease. You'd initially wanted to spread the data around a bit, but with these two's data, and the data cache, Black Agumon could be a decent match for any champion kicking around by your estimates. So you went ahead and had him download all three separate pieces of data.
And to your luck, Black Agumon actually managed to get one of Betamon's attacks from downloading its data.
It was really only Black Agumon;s new reflexes from taking in all that data that saved your life though.
"Fire Fist!"
The shout was so sudden you had no time to react, but Black Agumon did, pushing you out of the way and jumping back just in time for a massive flame shaped in the form of a fist to smash into your previous position and near melt it into slag.
Whirlwing around to where it came from, you found once again another black hoodie wearing idiot, with a hood covering their face. Only this one, had a Meramon and a giant ass Woodmon standing in front of him. the Meramon had its hand held out in a punching position, letting you know just who it was that had attacked and almost killed you.
"That was my data cache you little punk," the black hooded hacker sneered at you, "Who the hell do you think you are to take what's mine?"
Jesus, why was it all these cunts were such arrogant overly self entitled cunts?
Before you could say anything back to him though, he cast an eye at your Black Agumon and grinned, "I suppose I'll just have my digimon tear it out of your weak ass little lizard huh?"
Talk talk talk, threat threat threat, boast boast, boast. Talking wasn't a mother fucking free action!
Your thoughts raced. You didn't pay much attention to Woodmon in any of the cards or games, it just didn't appeal to you much. Meramon on the other hand? Was both a common digivolution of Agumon and pretty cool, so you knew it well even without your visor giving your its data.
A fire attribute, data type champion level digimon.
You jerked your head at it, "Agumon, hose that candle out!" You barked an order while the idiot talked.
Honestly, when would people get the memo that talking really wasn't a free action? This isn't a damn anime or turn based game.
"Gotcha boss!" Black Agumon shouted and nodded his head. Stepping forward, the black dinosaur digimon roared and slammed his clawed hands into the ground just as you lifted your digivice and reloaded Gazimon and Demidevimon.
"Water Tower!" your digimon cried out.
Before the two digimon could even react, a massive plume of water shot up like a geyser from the ground with enough force to shatter a boulder and dragged Meramon high into the air, bellowing loudly in pain until suddenly, it wasn't and it burst into data.
"W-what the!" the idiot stepped back in fright at seeing his champion go down.
Woodmon lifted both of its massive bark-like arms up into the air and they began to glow a bright green, it made to run forward, only it didn't get the chance.
"Electric Stun Blast!"
"Demi Darts!"
A bolt of lightning and three syringe spears stabbed into it and brought it to the ground. You grinned as you saw its body going limp under the stun effect of Gazimon's attack.
But you weren't done there, oh no. you loaded your Goblimon club and followed with your own Electric Stun Blast, just as Black Agumon stepped forward, flames pulling in his mouth as he spat out a large fireball.
"Electric Stun Blast!"
"Pepper Breath!"
Both slammed into the tree digimon and it groaned in pain.
"H-holy shit, what the fuck man!" the hacker stuttered, pulling up his digivice, "They're fucking rookies, how the fuck!?"
You prepared for him to enact some skill to help his digimon. Only for him to press a button and disappear in a flash of blue light. He'd used the Gate skill to escape, and left his fucking digimon behind.
You gaped in utter shock at the cowardice of him!
For a moment, you were tempted to call the attack off. Woodmon was obviously just obeying its tamer, like your digimon do for you. But at the same time, this thing was really okay with killing you and your digimon and you're not okay with that.
You don't know if you could trust it if you let it join you. So you're not going to give it the chance. It's data is going to nourish your digimon.
"Finish it off boys!" You ordered, lifting your club into the air, electricity sparking around it and your three digimon following your lead.
"Electric Stun Blast!"
"Electric Stun Blast!"
"Demi Darts!"
"Spitfire Blast!"
All four attacks swarmed the downed tree digimon and with a brief rumble of pain, it burst into flakes of data just like Meramon before it.
You felt a flash of guilt before you buried it, although you allowed yourself to at least feel sorry for it.
You eyed the data floating above you and decided to scan Woodmon's data. It's the least you could do for it you supposed since you didn't trust its last incarnation but were tempted to help it regardless.
Lifting your digivice, you scanned the green data it left behind and stopped once a green digi-egg appeared on your screen.
Now, this was a bit unfair to the other two, but, "Hey, Gazimon, DemiDevimon, are you guys fine with Agumon loading this data?" you ask both digimon, "I know he's got a bunch so far over you, but I think if he takes all this data he'll digivolve and we won't need to worry about other champons taking us out."
Demidevimon replied instantly, "It's fine with me boss," he replied, "You know I prefer to work instead of fight anyway, let the big lug lead the charge for a bit while I run your website and the like."
Gazimon nodded beside him "Yeah boss, besides, I only hatched today and these two already gave me a ton of data to let me digivolve right away," the bunny wolf cross said, "Besides, Agumon did most of the fighting for this data anyways."
"Yeah, and with a Champion you'll be able to take much better jobs boss, so I say go for it!" DemiDevimon added.
"Right then, thanks guys." you knelt down and swept the two into a tight hug that they readily returned, wrapping a paw and wing around you. You stayed like that for a few moments before unwrapping and returning them to the digivice.
You turned to Black Agumon who was looking at you intently, and nodded at him. He returned the nod and then turned to the data, spreading his arms wide and at once the data floating in the air converged and swirled around him like a green and red tornado and sunk into his body.
Then he erupted into a bright white glow as soon as every particle of data entered his body.
"Black Agumon digivolve to...!"
The light grew and morphed, up and up, and up even more until the glowing figure towered above you. then the glow receded and your newly digivolved digimon stood there in plain view.
"Black Greymon!" He roared so loud it felt the ground shook beneath you.
Massively tall and bulky, he was easily fifteen feet tall if not more so, his once ebony black scales now a deep dark blue, green eyes turned golden and a shiny grey black horned helmet adorned his head.
You couldn't help it, you laughed.
He was so, so beautiful like this!
You must have spent a good ten minutes just admiring how awesome Black Greymon was and seeing him fire off some of his attacks. That Mega Burst was lethal as fuck man.
It wasn't until you checked you checked your digivice and saw that it was past seven that you broke out of your stupor. You recalled that you still hadn't done your homework yet and you'd been blowing off quite a bit of it lately.
And it was due tomorrow!
Quickly, you recalled Black Greymon into your digivice and pulled up your terminal, activating your gate skill to leave Kowloon quickly and then log out.
The artificial world of Eden faded from around you, leaving you sitting in the darkness of your room. Thank god you splurged for your computer chair, otherwise your back would be killing you right now.
"Hey boss," DemiDevimon piped up from your computer screen, transmitting via the physical copy of your digivice that you had plugged in to your computers USB port, "While you get your homework done, I'll be working on cracking this digivice."
"Thanks buddy," you say before standing up and stretching to get rid of any kinks. You'd been tempted to hatch both Tsumemon and Tamemon right now, but you figure you'll just put it off for now, you got enough done today as it is, and they wouldn't be going anywhere.
