Annoyingly, it took the damn guy a good half hour to get back to you. And as always, you refused to leave their private servers until you got god damn paid.

You were literally so annoyed, that once you got paid, you returned your other two digimon to the digivice and used the Gate skill to get the fuck out of there and head right for Kowloon. You needed to kick the crap out of someone or something.

Only, when you got to Kowloon, the first two areas were suspiciously absent of people.

"Odd, there should at least be some idiots posturing out front." you mused with a frown.

They probably got ran off by some two bit gang you assumed. But with Black Greymon on your side, you weren't scared of any damn little gang. He'd fuck up their digimon and you'd go and fuck them up if any of them started shit.

That said, you weren't a reckless moron so you activated your stealth skill just in case and made your way further into Kowloon.

Another room later, and you felt the floor shake, and heard some very familiar roars and even some shrieks coming from the room ahead, even a good two hundred feet away from the entrance to that area.

Interesting.

You made your way into the room and to your utter surprise, there wasn't any humans kicking about. There was an Elecmon and a Palmon standing together on the ridge of one of the platforms higher up as soon as you entered, and following their gazes, you found the cause of the noise.

A Greymon roared in pain as a blue beam of energy crashed into its side and a Unimon soared quickly over its head and let out a harumph that sounded a lot like laughter to you.

With your Stealth skill and the two fighting outright in the middle of the massive platform, it was easy to bypass them without getting touched. You made your way up to the platform the Palmon and Elecmon were watching from, no doubt hoping to poach some data from the winner and then run for it.

Halfway there, you let Black Greymon out so him coming out behind them didn't spook them at all.

"What do we do boss?" The giant blue dinosaur bent down over you and whispered, and god it made for a funny sight, good thing with Stealth activated over the both of you, only you could see him.

"We're gonna get behind those two rookies buddy alright? Then when that Unimon gets close enough to the Greymon, I want you to hit all four of them with your Mega Flame and hopefully take them all out at once."

"Gotcha boss!" Black Greymon gave you a saluted in confirmation with his slightly too small right arm and then literally began tiptoeing behind you.

It was a bizarre fucking sight. and somehow he actually managed to do it without stumbling and making noise, much noise at least you supposed.

You managed to get in position and they were so intent on watching the fight, neither of the two rookies noticed a thing. God, you thought you could see that Elecmon literally drooling as it watched the fight.

The fight between Greymon and Unimon was a bit of a game of cat and mouse. Greymon was careful of its beam attack, and Unimon was too fast for it to hit back.

It took nearly three minutes of back and forth between the two of them before finally the Unimon got frustrated and blitzed in, swerving around Greymon as it tried to claw the flying horse digimon and opening its mouth to fire another energy beam.

"Now!" you shouted, seeing your chance!

"Mega Flame!" Black Greymon roared, unleashing the flame that had been building up for minutes now.

The two rookies turned at your shout and screamed in terror as you and Black Greymon came into view. But they could do nothing and were burned out of existence by the wave of flame Black Greymon unleashed.

The two battling champions didn't even notice the flames surging at them, too busy caught up in their flames and a loud shriek and pained bellow rang throughout the area.

When the flames cut off, Elecmon, Palmon and Unimon were gone, and the only one left was Greymon, face down on the ground, orange scales scorched black in some parts and smoke rising up off the large dino digimon's body.

You actually let loose a whistle of admiration for the orange dinosaur as it started struggling to get up. But then, a weak Greymon or not, it's still a motherfucking Greymon, and that line was the lead digimon since the very first episode of the anime for a reason.

They were like the Charizard of Digimon. Fire breathing T-rex for the win man!

"Oh wow he actually lived boss!" Black Greymon cheered excitedly.

"That he did," you replied before nodding at the digimon just as it was about to get fully onto its feet, "Why don't you give it another and see if he can take it as well?"

Black Greymon blinked, "You think he can!?" He gasped almost as if it was a feat that was impossible to accomplish.

"Try it out, see if he can." you told your digimon.

"Right!" Black Greymon agreed. Lifting his arms up, he stepped forward and then bent low and smashed them into the ground, "Water Tower!" he roared loudly.

The Greymon reached its full height finally, only for a massive geyser of water to explode out from beneath it, drawing another ragged bellow of pain as it was sent soaring up into the air, and then fell like all things without wings and hit the ground of the blue platform hard enough to leave five or so foot crater behind.

"Wow, he actually did live," you commented in surprise. Wow this this guy is super tough, nothing had survived a direct hit from your Black Greymon so far up until this point, and this other Greymon had taken two! That's pretty amazing. This thing must be pretty damn strong! The amount of data it would give should be monstrous.

Wow, just wow. You watched as the Greymon once again began struggling to stand up and you had to admit, you were so very impressed by its grit. It can't match up to your Black Greymon, but that's probably because you plumped yours up on tons of data, and literally beat down the digimon to raise it up early yourself unlike this one that probably had to fight from the very day it was born to reach where it is now.

If it had the same amount of power as your Black Greymon, it would have a good chance of being the winner in a fight between them even if they were neutral against each other typing wise.

"Give it a Mega Flame," you ordered Black Greymon, "If it lives this last attack, I want to recruit it."

"Alright boss!" Black Greymon agreed instantly, even if he wanted to enjoy a fight, he would do what you say regardless, "Mega Flame!" He roared and spat forth another wave of flames.

You held your breath.

And released it in a sad sigh when the flames cleared to show only data sprinkling through the air. You feel kind of empty about that. Now it won't even remember that kind of determination it had even if it's reborn.

There was no telling if it would inherit that same determination to stand up no matter the odds. Better just not risk it, and take all the data really, if you did, one of your digimon would probably hit champion if they loaded it all.

You pursed your lips and lifted your digivice up to look at the two within it through the screen, "If I said I wanted just one of you to load this data and hopefully digivolve, what would you think?" you asked them both.

Gazimon opened his mouth, but DemiDevimon beat him to the punch, idly typing away on a terminal by snorting, "Let little bro have it, the power boost would be awesome and all, but I don't really care for fighting as much as these two seem to." he dismissed your concerns easily.

You could almost shed a tear. As it was, you sighed and a smile spread across your face, "Man I've got the best digimon ever," you commented.

DemiDevimon snorted, "And don't you forget it, we're the best digimon cuz you're the boss, boss, now hurry up and get the runt all big and strong and leave me to my work."

"Alright then," you chuckled. Holding the digivice up, you pressed the button to release one of your digimon, "Gazimon, reload!"

Gazimon appeared before you and gasped looking up at all the data swirling around, "Woah!" he let out in awe, "Are you sure I can have all this boss?"

You smirked, "Get to it buddy, let's see you get jacked up and tough like Greymon."

He grinned in a feral manner and held his arms out absorbing the data. The massive swarm of data swirled around him and for a few moments, your youngest digimon was obscured from view, until bit by bit it was sucked inside of him.

When it was all gone, it happened.

"Gazimon digivolve to...!"

He exploded into bright white light and his body morphed, grew bigger and changed shape And moments later what stood before you was a giant wolf that would put the Fenrir of Norse mythology to shame.

"Garurumon!"

"AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Garurumon howled so loud the air shook and it felt like your ear drums would burst at any moment.

You returned Black Greymon to the digivice and spent some time exploring Garurumon's new abilities. It was also how you found our there were no other digimon roaming Kowloon level 1. Garurumon was so fast it felt like he was teleporting from place to place. She blinked again in surprise, then looked you in the eyes and held your gaze, searching for something. She apparently found what she was looking for a few moments later because she nodded in agreement, "Very well, I Nyaromon will become your digimon," she declared, "Now, what shall I call you?"
