Summary: Dennis and Winnie tries to get the hotel's superheroes, Mighty Monster and Ghoul Boy, out of retirement.
This chapter is the parody of the episode: Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. It also acts as the debut of Mighty Monster and Ghoul Boy, who parody the duo.
Dennis loves watching The Kakie Show, especially with Winnie. However, on weekends, the two love to watch the Saturday morning show: Mighty Monster and Ghoul Boy.
"Mighty Monster,", said an announcer on the TV, "Fleet and forceful. With the ability to summon and take charge of the supernatural". "By the power of the supernatural!", Mighty Monster said.
"With his young associate, Ghoul Boy.", the announcer continued, "Fight for all people and monsters who live around the world, against the forces of evil.".
On the TV screen, the summoned monsters chased away an evil monster who is threatening a cute monster. "Oh, no!", the evil monster said, "It's the Monstrous Whirlwind!".
"Mighty Monster!", the announcer shouted, "Champion of the Supernatural!".
After the show was over, Dennis and Winnie decided to pretend to be the dynamic duo, with Dennis being Mighty Monster, while Winnie being Ghoul Boy.
"Come on, Ghoul Wolf.", Dennis said, not wanting to call Winnie a boy, "There's evil afoot!". "Okay, Mighty Monster!", Winnie said, as she puts on her superhero mask, "I'm right behind you!".
The two decided to play outside, where there is more room to run around. However, they were not alone, as Abraham was sunbathing.
"Mighty Monster and Ghoul Wolf has spotted their archenemy.", Dennis whispered, "Reflecto, up to no good.". Abraham takes off his sunglasses, and noticed Dennis and Winnie. "Dennis.", he said with sarcasm.
"You know what that means?", Dennis asked, to which he pulls out a donut box. "Donuts.", Winnie said with awe, as Dennis opened the box.
"By the power of the supernatural...", Dennis said, before he and Winnie said in unison, "Mighty Monster and Ghoul Boy unite!". "Supernatural beings, assemble!", Dennis said, as he and Winnie tried to do so.
"Think... harder, Ghoul Wolf.", Dennis said, as he and Winnie are thinking so hard. Soon, a butterfly flies by, "Here they come!", Dennis said, even though that a butterfly is very weak, as Abraham blows it away.
"Blast!", Dennis said with annoyance, "Reflecto is becoming more powrful.". Soon, Dennis and Winnie placed up a tent above Abraham, blocking the sunlight.
"What the?", Abraham said, making himself angry. "If Reflecto is cut off from sunlight, he becomes weak!", Dennis said, but Winnie interrupted, "Holy rabies, Mighty Monster! He's destroying the shield!", to which Abraham destroyed the tent.
"Quick Ghoul Wolf!", Dennis said, "Back to the cave!". "Right, Mighty Monster!", Winnie said, following him. "Dennis!", Abraham said, as he chased after the two kids, and when they reached the hotel, they locked the door. "Dennis, open up.", Abraham angrily said.
"Reflecto has found our secret lab!", Dennis said, to which Winnie asked, "What would the real Mighty Monster do?". "Why don't you ask him yourself?", Abraham asked, to which Dennis said, "Elaborate, you vile fiend.".
"He and Ghoul Boy live in the senior citizen section of the hotel with me.", Abraham said, to which Dennis said that they might be working undercover. As Abraham strolled away, Dennis and Winnie decided to meet the heroes in person.
Dennis and Winnie soon arrived at the senior citizens center, and told the receptionist about Mighty Monster is working on an important case, to which they want to see him. "Undercover?", asked the receptionist, "I think they might have some time to see you.".
"There they are, right over there.", the receptionist said, as he points to two monsters, with one being a furry monster, and the other being a ghost with glowing blue eyes. "Try not to surprise them.", the receptionist told the kids.
"Winnie, can you believe it?", Dennis asked, as he and Winnie braced themselves. "It's Mighty Monster and Ghoul Boy in the flesh!", Winnie said.
"They soon went in front of them, to which the ghost asked, "Hey, who are those two?". "Are they here to fix the TV?", the furry monster, to which Dennis and Winnie are still giggling. "What do you two want?", Ghoul Boy asked.
"Are you Mighty Monster and Ghoul Boy?", Dennis asked, to which Ghoul Boy said that they were, but know they were retired. Dennis was soon shocked, "But you can't retire.", he said, "There's evil afoot.".
When Mighty Monster heard the word 'evil', he started to get crazy. "Evil!", he kept on screaming.
"Ghoul Boy, don't forget that there's evil!", Mighty Monster said, but Dennis just said that there was evil afoot, but this caused Mighty Monster to get more crazy. "Will you stop saying that?", Ghoul Boy asked.
"Disgrace!", Mighty Monster said, before the receptionist throws Dennis and Winnie out.
Once Dennis and Winnie are kicked out, they somehow knew that they just had the experience of a lifetime.
"Mighty Monster and Ghoul Boy.", Dennis said with satisfaction, but Winnie interrupted, "It's too bad they're old.". "What are you talking about?", Dennis asked, "Old people are the greatest, as they are full of wisdom and experience.".
"And furthermore, we will be able to accomplish our mission to get Mighty Monster and Ghoul Boy out of retirement!", Dennis said with confidence, as Winnie noticed the fireworks show behind them.
Back at the senior citizen center, Mighty Monster and Ghoul Boy are in the cafeteria getting lunch. "Make sure to give extra broccoli to my young lad!", Mighty Monster teased to a lunch lady, "The boy needs his vitamins.".
After getting their trays fulls, they went to a table, but as they do, Dennis was near the doors. "Hey, Mighty Monster!", Dennis said, waving his arms. "Oh, here comes the TV repairman.", Mighty Monster said.
"What do you want?", Ghoul Boy said, as Dennis told them as he wants to get a good look at them.
"Be careful, Ghoul Boy.", Mighty Monster said, "He's onto something.". But Ghoul Boy soon said, "Will you stop calling me boy?".
"Did you remember that the food supply of the hotel was running low?", asked Dennis, "So you invented a ray gun that shoots things twice as large.". Mighty Monster somehow started to remember, but Ghoul Boy thought it was a waste of time. "But then, a huge mosquito comes by, steals the gun and enlarged his minions.", Dennis continued, "And then he starts to steal the supply of food.".
"What's your point, kid?", Ghoul Boy asked, to which Dennis was trying to ask them to get out of retirement. "Listen, I want to eat my meatloaf!", Mighty Monster said, now angry, "If you don't leave us at peace, I'll pronounce you man and wife!".
"What is going on around here!", the receptionist said, to which Mighty Monster said, "You may kiss the bride!". Dennis was then kicked out for the second time, and when Winnie asked if he successfully reunited the heroes, he said he somehow got 'married'.
Now outside, Mighty Monster and Ghoul Boy are in rocking chairs, as they are rocking back and forth, even saying "Up, up, and away!", while doing so. Meanwhile, Winnie was in a spotted dress, and holding a purse, while Dennis is dressed up as a robber.
"Oh my.", Winnie said in an accent, "This purse is so big and heavy.". "Hold it right there ma'am.", Dennis said, "I'll be taking that!", and snatched the purse from Winnie's hands.
"Help, help, help!", Winnie said, however it's not really good of how she said it, as she knew that Dennis and Winnie are just still trying to get the two heroes out of retirement. "It's working.", Dennis whispered from behind a rock. "Oh,", Winnie said, "Are you here to help little ole me?".
"Pipe down!", Ghoul Boy said, "You can wake up Mighty Monster, and he is always cranky when his nap is disturbed.". Mighty Monster however, is actually sleeping with his eyes open, to which Dennis commented.
"Will you get away from him?!", Ghoul Boy shouted awakening Mighty Monster. "Stop shouting, I'm napping!", Mighty Monster said, who is now awake, but Ghoul Boy said, "It's not me you old coot.".
While the two heroes argued, Abraham soon tapped on Mighty Monster's shoulder. "Excuse me?", he said, to which Mighty Monster asked what does he want. "Well,", Abraham said, the two kids wanted me to tell you that they are done painting your invisible monstermobile.".
"It's supposed to be invisible!", Ghoul Boy said now full of rage, to which Abraham agreed, and decided that he should be taking his nap now. "That's it!", Ghoul Boy said, "We need to get out of retirement, because there's evil afoot!".
"Evil!", Mighty Monster said, but soon asked, "Where?". "There!", Ghoul Boy said, pointing to the two kids, to which they smiled innocently. "You know what this means?", he soon asked as he pulled out a box, which contains two rings with emblems.
"Donuts!", Mighty Monster said with delight, to which Ghoul Boy said, "Oh, brother.". After putting on the rings, they tried to put them together, and Mighty Monster said the oath, "Mighty Monster and Ghoul Boy unite!".
"Throw a slime ball at them!", Mighty Monster said, to which Dennis and Winnie are excited. As the slime ball is thrown, it landed in Dennis' hair, to which it got soaked up. "Drat, he's too strong.", Ghoul Boy said, and Mighty Monster said that the hair acts like a sponge.
"Run around them!", the heroic duo said, and ran around the kids. "It's the Monstrous Whirlwind!", said Winnie, to which she and Dennis are laughing their heads and having fun. "It's not working they're enjoying it.", Mighty Monster said, "We need help.". "Supernatural beings, unite!", he and Ghoul Boy said, as various elderly monsters, and even Abraham went outside.
"Looks like the people we've assembled, lost some of their luster.", Ghoul Boy said with confusion. "Elderly monsters, and the occasional human,", Mighty Monster said, "ATTACK!". The senior citizens soon picked up the two kids, and carried them. "We did it!", said Dennis, "We've reunited our heroes.", he finished before the two were thrown out.
"I did it!", said Mighty Monster, "I feel young again." "We did it you old coot!", Ghoul Boy said, realized that they should go back to fighting crime again.
A week later, Dennis and Winnie went back to watching TV, but this time they were watching 'The NEW Adventures of Mighty Monster and Ghoul Boy'.
"We joined our heroes to a battle of wits!", the announcer said, to which the two heroes are playing chess. Suddenly, a phone rang, "It's the Mighty Phone!", Mighty Monster said, picking up the receiver, but as he tries to make the call, he cannot hear the conversation.
"That phone is still broken.", Mighty Monster said, "Remind me to get that fixed.". However, when they went back to their game of chess, Mighty Monster soon forgot about what he was talking about.
"Will the heroes get their phone fixed?", said the announcer, "Tune in next week, and find out.". "Wow, this is better than the old show!", Dennis said. "It's all thanks to you.", said Winnie, making Dennis very proud.
