Hi, guys, I'm back! I wanted to update it more because I have nothing to do and because I haven't touched this story for a long time. Enjoy!

HATE

Naruto ran a hand through his blonde, spiky hair. He was five no, but felt no better than when he was four. He had no one to celebrate with, partly because he was an orphan, and partly because the whole village hated his guts. He scoffed, apparently, the village that promoted peace and love was too good to celebrate a child's birthday, even though that was not a shock to him anymore. He was over the fact that they hated him, he couldn't care less why, and that's why he never researched it.

The one thing that did intrigue him though, was something about himself, his mysterious power. He felt exhilarated when it was activated. He wanted to activate it again, partly to feel its power, and partly to feel its rage. 'Let's see if I can do it again.' He thought to himself. He sent his mind back to the event that triggered his miraculous transformation. He tried and tried, but he could not feel the same anger he did during that event.

"So, it seems like this transformation can only be activated during the event because my mind is programmed to feel the most rage in the heat of the moment." He deduced cleverly. "Would genjutsu help?" He inquired to himself. He had heard of the ninja element and was very disappointed with it when he realized it was only about illusions. He was disgusted with it, deeming it cowardly and useless. Until he thought of this.

"First, I have to learn a genjutsu that will somehow trick my mind, the caster's own mind, into believing it is in the real situation, and then figuring out how to cast a genjutsu on myself." He explained to no one but himself.

He took a long look at himself in the smashed-up mirror he had lying around on his bedroom floor. He holstered up to see himself proportionally. His eyes were blue, but not boisterous. They were blue like the ocean, covered by frost, waiting to erupt. His blonde hair was not sunny, but hot like the sun, able to burn you at a moment's notice. His whiskered face was not cute, it was marred with scars and grime. He was not cute, he was evil, dangerous, and a schemer. '

Someone no one would want to associate with. He was fine with that, he did not want to associate with these people either. He could care less about the populace of Konoha. They were all a bunch of self-serving bastards who sang their Hokage's praises and practiced 'peace and love' when it benefited them, and them only.

He was donned in a dirty white shirt and black shorts. He could care less about his attire. As long as it was acceptable to him in terms of covering up, he could care less.

Naruto found himself walking towards the large library in the center of Konoha. He had to try this genjutsu trick out. Now, he had to get into the store without being noticed. Of course, he had known of a common way of hiding himself in plane sights, using the Transformation Jutsu, but he could not even channel chakra yet, so that would have to wait.

He swung the double doors open, using his above-average speed to swiftly duck to the side, where the grumpy old lady would not see him. His presence was covered by a tall stack of books, and for once, he was thankful that he was a little shorter than the average five-year-old.

Fortunately, he stumbled across exactly what he was looking for. A book titled 'Genjutsu: 101.' It was blue with the title encompassed in a white circle. He grabbed it off of the shelf and read carefully, slipping through each page at an average rate. He was trying to comprehend everything. 'So, in order to conduct genjutsu, you must have a working chakra system that can also be channeled.' He read, nodding along.

He read through the pages and saw that there were numerous amateur genjutsus to conduct. He noticed one that was called the Flower Eye Technique. 'Interesting.' He thought, scratching his chin thought. In order to conduct it, one had to use their chakra system, funnel a significant amount of their chakra into an eye, and direct it at a target. Of course, when the target is selected, the genjutsu will commence.

"Now, I need to know how to unlock this mythical 'chakra.'" Naruto muttered quietly, so as to not be heard by the lady at the desk. He spotted a sign that read 'Chakra Theory' and headed over to it sneakily, thankfully, the library was quite devoid of any readers so it was quite easy to enter the area. He spotted a book that had 'Chakra' written plainly on its leather cover and uncovered, it slowly turning the pages more and more as he understood the concepts. 'Cross legs, hold hands out, close eyes, focus.' Naruto chanted in his mind as he followed his own steps.

He tried and tried, but his twitching eyes were a very big indicator of failure. He could not understand the secret to unlocking his chakra. He focused and sat in the right position. Maybe, just maybe, he had to keep on trying to unlock his chakra.

He continued, twitching wildly in exasperation. Slowly, his body was feeling a very strange, but familiar heat. His ears echoed subtly and his core tingled. He opened his eyes lazily and watched as a red aura encompassed his form.

"Ah," Naruto said in awe, "So this is chakra." He finished, completely mesmerized by the foreign energy. "It seems this is the energy I released during that event." He recalled, fascinated.

In a distant area, far from the library where their person of interest was located, a large circle of people banded together, speaking loudly and disagreeing with each other until a hush silenced them hurriedly.

"Well, you may be wondering, why is this meeting occurring?" Hiruzen, the 3rd Hokage, and current leader of the village, asked.

"Yes, I am." Fugaku, Clan Head of the Uchiha Clan, the most prestigious shinobi clan in the history of Konoha, responded tiredly. His message was related to by multiple people around the circle.

"Well, you have your answer right here," Hiruzen said, slamming down a file of pictures, all related to the boy, Naruto Uzumaki, who was known for being the vicious Nine-Tailed Fox.

"Yes, it's just pictures of the Nine-Tails." Danzo, war-hawk, and Hiruzen's second-in-command stated the obvious.

"It is not just that," Hiruzen countered, "and please refrain from calling him the 'Nine-Tails' during any of our meetings," Hiruzen commanded, sternly glaring at his once-teammate.

"We all know what happened last year, correct?" Hiruzen inquired. A series of nods were his answer. "We all know what triggered it?" He continued, again receiving nods.

"Yes, we are all aware of it, what is this meeting about?!" Fugaku raised his tone, irked that the old man was stalling.

"There is no need to raise your voice at me, Fugaku," Hiruzen advised icily. "The reason why this meeting has been called is because I have reason to believe that Naruto Uzumaki has been learning how to channel chakra." He informed, inspiring gasps from many of the clan heads and elders. Danzo kept his icy gaze still, yet his mind was racing with possibilities.

"So, what shall we do?" Shikaku, the Jonin Commander and Nara Clan Head asked slowly as the other clan heads looked quizzically at the Hokage, worry on their faces.

"Nothing." The swift response shocked the participants of the meeting.

"If you won't do anything about it, why call the meeting?!" Tsume, the Inuzuka Clan Head, shouted.

"I am under the obligation, as your leader, to let you know about our subject's endeavors." He responded swiftly

"Well, what if he can use the chakra to harm even more innocents?" Fugaku asked, strangely calm throughout the whole ordeal. "As far as we know, the boy is quite hateful of the village, as would anyone else in his position be."

"Of course, he is not fond of this village, but from what I can gather, Naruto has some semblance of intellect. As he is now, even if can control his potent chakra, he is not nearly as experienced as even a chunin. He cannot fight off an entire village of shinobi."

"Yes, but you are missing the point, Lord Hokage," Choza, the Akimichi Clan Head stated soundly, "He will bide his time, of course he will not strike now, but believe me, he will retaliate for all that this village has put him through at one point. Will you really risk your village because you feel for him?" He finished, inspiring agreeing nods from his peers.

"I have my own plan of action," Hiruzen answered, "There is nothing in this village that Naruto loves as of this moment." He stated.

"Obviously," Tsume said, garnering a few chuckles. Even in this uncertain time, she was attracting laughs and smiles, that was how Tsume was.

"Yes, obviously. That is why we will create something he loves." Hiruzen said. "No human can go without love for all of its life." He finished.

"Pretty hard to do. The boy has nothing to attach himself to this village. We can't just pop something out of mid-air." Fugaku shut him down quickly.

"That is why I am the Hokage, I will create something." He said. "Meeting adjourned!"

Naruto had been practicing for a long, long time. His rear was already sore from the coldness of the library's floor. Yet, the heat of his potent aura contrasted with the sore coldness of the library, warming him a little.

"Well, it's about time that I finish here." He said, dusting himself off as he rose from the floor in a haste. He quickly shoved the heavy books into the shelves and snuck out of the extensive library.

'Now, it's time to test this genjutsu out and see if I can unlock my power.' He thought excitedly. Unknowingly, he had bumped into something, or rather someone.

"Sorry," he heard a squeak. Opening his eyes, he saw a young lady, she looked about twenty.

He was surprised, this was the first time anyone was nice to him.

Suddenly, his surprise was shattered when the woman looked at him in utter disgust, curling her lips back. "Stay away from me, demon!" She shouted as if to garner attention to the situation. It was working.

'Of course,' Naruto thought in his head, sighing, 'She must've been looking forward when she bumped into me, and now she finally knows my true identity.' He said, unsurprised.

"Is there anything we could do to get that bastard out of the village?!" Naruto heard a heated whisper behind him. Slowly, his face was heating up in anger, and he felt the same rage that had erupted within him a year ago.

It seemed that the useless bastards had forgotten what he did last year, or they couldn't care less. They were dumb enough to believe he would not do it again.

"We should kill the kid!" Another whisper erupted from the slowly-forming crowd.

Suddenly, as the crowd was growing larger, they dispersed. In front of Naruto stood a man in all-black attire and a dog mask on.

"Naruto Uzumaki, come with me." He said swiftly, grabbing the boy and teleporting into a room.

The room was white in its walls, but the beams supporting it were all burgundy. The frames that decorated the sides of the room were filled with pictures of the current and past Hokages.

He looked behind himself and was puzzled to see that the man was gone, and as he turned to face the chair in front of him, he recalled a distant memory of the same man sitting in a chair beside his hospital bed.

"Hello, Naruto." The man said, his mouth crinkling into a faint smile.

Naruto did not return the pleasant gesture. "What do you want?" He asked, annoyed. "Why did you get that guy to come get me?" He fired another question at the old leader.

The Hokage, Hiruzen, spoke. "That is no way to talk to me." He said, "But I will ignore it for now." He finished, a smile still plastered on his face.

Naruto could almost feel the bile in his mouth ready to spill out. The ever-present smile on his face was disgusting to him. "What do you want?!" The boy screamed angrily.

Hiruzen sighed as the smile left his face.

Naruto smirked as he watched the curved line on the man's face turn straight.

"What do you have? What attaches you to this village?" Hiruzen barraged the boy with questions.

Naruto, ever-intuitive, caught on. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing." He said, his face losing its smirk.

"How would you like to change that?" Hiruzen asked, his face emotionless.

Naruto returned the gesture, his face devoid of emotion. "I wouldn't."

I hope you enjoyed this chapter, there is way more to come! Peace!
