Hi, guys! I wanted to create this chapter out of pure boredom and for some reason, I had the urge to write. Special thanks to the support that you guys have been giving me! Thanks a lot to all of my followers and all of the reviews, good or bad. For now, just enjoy the story!
POTENCY
Naruto walked ahead, his glare intensified by the sun's own glare. For a four-year-old, he was looking quite intimidating. Yet that did not stop some villagers from throwing the occasional glare or insult directly at him. Of course, he just ignored them, even if his urge to stomp them out was getting to a new high.
The reason why was a simple one really, one that he let the whole of Konoha know. He knew exactly what would happen to him had he 'retaliated' in self-defense. He learned a long time ago when he killed those villagers the pain that he would feel and the torment he was put through. His blood boiled as he remembered his despicable treatment.
'Ah! Those bastards will pay in due time!' He shouted in his head, a migraine coming on. There was no explanation for the pain he felt when remembering those details, and it only seemed to occur when he was remembering those sets of details, nothing else.
The young boy clutched his head in pain and let out a startled shout. The village turned towards his form, fear filling their eyes as his body was enshrouded in a red aura, a very distinct aura that plagued their dreams last year and still did.
The boy's vision blacked out, and the last thing he saw was a white light before it all went dim.
"What do we do?!" Clan Heads moved around frantically around the council room, some holding their heads and others looking a little more composed.
"Enough!" Hiruzen, the old leader, commanded. At his command, the sound in the room was greatly reduced, yet there was still some frantic shouting remaining.
"What is going on here?!" Fugaku, who had just entered the council, was shocked at the disarray of the usually sanitary, calm room.
"There seems to have been a problem with our resident Jinchuuriki," Danzo explained, his one eye crinkling.
Hiruzen turned his head to Danzo's face, giving him a warning glare. "I have many times said not to address Naruto as a 'jinchuuriki.'" He said, his face sour. The clan heads had then intervened.
"I'm sorry Lord Hokage, but at this point, the boy is now a flight risk, he has no ties to the village, has black-outs like a depressed teen, and has ultra-powerful chakra that can be influenced by sadness or anger. Face it, he doesn't care about you, me, or the village." Tsume said, delivering the harsh truth.
The council observed Hiruzen's face. He did not betray anything. His face was emotionless, yet his eyes held a sadness that could fill oceans. "I know, but I have things to owe him, specifically his parents." He said, his eyes watering.
Quickly, his eyes were as dry as they were minutes ago.
"Well, he doesn't feel as if he is owed anything from you, so quit it," Fugaku said, his cold black eyes narrowing. "He is a risk to the village and has none of our best intentions at heart." The man, while not too fond of the Hokage himself, did not mean for his words to come out as hurtful as they. Yet he did know that they carried his message like he intended them to.
The council was quiet as they pondered the Uchiha man's words, there was a lot of truth to them. At such a young age, the boy was already detached and hated the village. There was no telling what he would do when he was older, eviler, and more powerful.
"That is why, he will be enrolled into the academy. He will be forced to make bonds, whether he likes it or not." His voice did not waver, not once. His determination was undeniable. The council was intrigued with this proposal, but they were not on board yet.
"As a parent and a council member, I don't feel comfortable with Naruto Uzumaki attending the same academics as my son, Shino," Shibi said, his hands coming up to tilt his glasses ever so slightly.
"I too, agree with this sentiment," Tsume, another parent, said. "My son, Kiba Inuzuka, will be attending the academy and he cannot be threatened by the likes of Uzumaki." She affirmed, her face not approving of Hiruzen's message.
The other clan heads murmured in agreement with the woman's sentiment, it was not like Uzumaki was a safe person to be around. The last remaining vote was left to Fugaku. "I vote in..." He stalled, gaining the council's frightened attention. Fugaku was known to be a decisive man, and he was not afraid to let others know his point of view.
"Favor of Uzumaki Naruto attending the academy." He finished, his face stone-like. Just like that, the council room erupted into rage and fright.
"WHAT?! HOW WOULD YOU LET THAT HAPPEN?!" Tsume screeched in outrage, "YOU HAVE A SON TOO! SASUKE, CORRECT?!" Her voice was losing volume and it was continuously getting scratchier. The other clan heads were well on their way to scolding the senior Uchiha, until...
"Silence!" A voice thundered throughout the council room, and eyes all over the room darted toward the sound of the voice.
There, the man they knew as the old, wizened leader, was furious. His eyes were hiding a beastly flame, and his mouth was up in a rare scowl.
"What is the meaning of this?! This council is supposed to be level-headed in all decisions. Last time I checked, I hired adults, not teens!" The hokage screamed in outrage.
"Tsume, the next time you barge out like that, it's the door for you!" He threatened, his hand pointing towards the mahogany doors.
"As for the disagreement, I could care less, because it is my decree that Naruto Uzumaki attends the academy, and the Konoha Law states that no Leaf citizen will be prohibited from the education of the Shinobi Arts," Hiruzen informed, his anger having been tamed. "Meeting adjourned!"
Naruto found himself awakened, but his vision was swarmed with darkness. He slowly picked up on the fact that he was not within the realm of the living quite quickly, seeing as there was nothing but a void in his wake.
Slowly, in his vision, yellow bars started taking shape. They were very large and long. There were multiple of them in a row, seeming to contain something.
A loud roar echoed within the cage, and Naruto was startled, his form jumping up wildly.
"Insolent brat!" Naruto heard a demonic grunt, "I should kill you right now for entering my abode, you're lucky these bars are stopping me!"
He looked straight in the voice's direction and was alerted to see a humungous, orange fox with grinning fangs and the evilest red eyes he had ever seen.
"So, what am I doing in front of the Nine-Tails?" Naruto inquired calmly, trying to keep his fear in check.
The fox chuckled darkly. "Trying to mask your fear is pointless, boy. It never works."
Naruto released the breath he was holding and allowed his fear to run wild. There was nothing he could do to keep it in check and away from the monster, so who cared?
"As for your other question, I am here because I am in you, bastard." The fox said, snarling as he recalled memories of his freedom being stripped away.
"Excuse me?" Naruto asked, his face puzzled. Never in his life had he heard those types of words. "What do you mean?" He asked.
"Stupid boy, for all your 'smarts,' you are quite dumb." He said, his face disgusted with the child. "I AM SEALED WITHIN YOU!" He said, his voice amplifying by 10x.
Naruto winced and clutched his damaged ears. But the fact that the Nine-Tails had just laid on him triumphed over his pain by many times.
His mind was racing. All the times he was beaten, kicked, screamed at, this was the reason. 'Those bastards!' He said, his rage at a breaking point. 'They hated me for something I couldn't control!' His anger was off the charts.
"Now that I have relayed this information to you, why are you here?!" It seemed like every time he would speak, the fox's vocal chord enlarged.
"I was brought here. Why would I come to this dump?" Naruto stated, his face churning at the smell of the area that he just picked up on now.
"Well, you deserve it, brat. If you ever come here again, I will not hesitate to rip you to shreds." The fox said in his deep, growling voice.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Naruto downplayed his threat as he felt himself being sucked into the realm of the living again.
Naruto found himself waking up in his familiar, trashy bed. His apartment was pretty small but he tried to keep it as tidy as possible. He was evil, not dirty.
He was quite surprised to find that he was in his own apartment, seeing as the villagers hated him, and there was probably nothing stopping him from beating him to death or bringing him to the hospital for the nurses to finish him off.
'What's going on?' He asked himself, what had happened to him to bring him to his own apartment. He swiftly checked himself for any augmentations or effects on his body.
He was not surprised to see a seal that was in the center of his stomach. It was a black circle with many jagged black lines protruding from it. This raised some questions given he just learned that he was the host of the greatest demon to ever live, the Nine-Tails.
Could this be the contraption that kept the demon sealed in him? Who sealed it? Who damned his fate to a life of misery and hatred? Just thinking about it pissed the blonde boy off more and more. The fact that he was a victim to someone else, who used him to save this damned village.
He never wanted to be a victim again.
I apologize if this chapter is a little short but I just wanted to add a little bit of pace to it because I believe the story is going a little too slow. Peace!
