Cecile decides that Himawari should take a couple of days off school since her fever is still running quite high. Despite telling her auntie that she is okay, the raven head can not argue that she might spread her cold to her friends if she chooses to attend class. Because of her work, it is easy for Cecile to work from home while taking care of her beloved little niece.

Himawari is sitting at the dining table, admiring the food in front of her. The udon noodle soup smells and tastes amazing. The young artist is quite surprised at how well this dish turns out to be, but then again, Cecile did live mostly by herself before the day she arrived in Paris, eating out all the time is not an option.

"Auntie, the soup is very good."

"Is it?" the young woman smiles warmly at her "Well, eat some more, my dear. We have the whole pot for ourselves."

"I don't think I can help you finish the whole thing." Himawari giggles at her claim "And sorry for bothering you so much lately."

"Himawari, what do you mean by bothering? You are my beloved little niece, you are not a burden to me, you know that, right?"

The raven head looks at her aunt a little bit before nodding her head. In Cecile's eyes, she might not be a burden, but her aunt's words don't make her feel any better. Because of this cold, she is unable to do any chores in the house, let alone cook a decent meal for her aunt. Cecile has told her to rest and leave the chores to her, but how can she possibly stay in her bed all the time, knowing that her aunt is doing everything while still maintaining her professional life as an author?

Every time she thinks about this, Himawari sighs in defeat. She needs to combat this cold quickly if she wants to be useful to her aunt.

Talking about bed rest, almost all of her friends have come and visited her: Chloe, Kagami, Adrien, Juleka, and a few more. All of them came and offer their notes of the day, as well as stayed behind to help her while Cecile focus on her work for a couple of hours. She is grateful to have such wonderful friends like them and yet, her heart is still yearning for someone, that someone is Luka Couffaine.

Today marks the third week of not seeing Luka. Although she knows very well that he is the one who plays that guitar tune every day near her house, she finds her heart sinking as each day passes by without seeing him. Maybe it's her fault for hiding from him, now he is doing the same to her. Juleka mentioned him on occasion, saying that he is also asking if she is doing okay. As much as she hates to say it, she wishes that he would ask her directly instead of relying on his younger sister.

But how can she blame him when she was doing the exact same thing three weeks ago?

"Himawari, your friend is visiting!"

The raven head turns her attention to her door, puzzling. Who could this be?

When the door is opened, her amethyst eyes stare at the person at her door, in awe. She blinks a couple of times, trying to process what is happening in front of her right now.

"Marinette?"

"H-hi… I… I come to v-visit…" the bluenette awkwardly responds "A-and I brought macarons too, I hope y-you like them…"

How many weeks has it been since she last spoke with this girl?

Himawari, although quite stiff at first, soon relaxes and makes herself comfortable on the bed while showing Marinette her seat. The baker girl fidgets at first, clearly sensing an unwelcoming aura from the one she used to call her friend. As she takes a seat and puts her baked treats on the desk, an awkward silence fills the room. No one says anything, they don't know what to say. Seeing Marinette is quite a surprise for Himawari, although she doesn't know whether it is pleasant or not.

"H-how have you been? I hope that you feel a lot better."

"Besides the fever, everything is okay."

Another moment of silence, the air is too heavy for both of them to say anything other than some simple small talk. Marinette understands the reason for this unpleasant atmosphere, she is the source of all the problems that have happened up to now. For her to come here and visit Himawari, some might say she is way too self-centered to even realize that she is the problem, but Marinette argues that she has gathered all her courage to come here and face the raven head.

"Himawari, I…"

"Why are you here?" her voice, as soft as a feather, shows signs of displeasing.

It does not hold any annoyance or grudge against the bluenette, but she knows very well that she is not welcome here.

"I want to say…" Marinette stops for a moment before continuing "I want to say I'm sorry for what happened…"

Himawari looks at her, amethyst eyes bore right to her soul. This girl in front of her is apologizing for everything that has happened…

But why…?

Why even bother to apologize when she clearly knows that it was wrong and that she should have never done it in the first place?

"I let my own insecurity and jealousy blind my eyes and hurt everyone around me, you, Luka and… Adrien…"

The way she tries to hold back a sob as she utters out his name makes Himawari's stomach turns. Of course she should be apologizing, of course she should acknowledge her role in this mess and how it has backfired on her, but at the same time, seeing how hurt she is at mentioning the blonde's name, Himawari would be lying to herself if she said she doesn't feel bad for her.

"I thought that…doing it would make Adrien realizes his wrongdoing, but…" the bluenette bites her bottom lips, trying her best not to cry "I was blinded by the hatred I have for Chloe that I…"

Marinette has spent so much time and energy trying to get his attention, doing everything she can to get him to look at her the same way she looks at him. When they finally got together, the bluenette was walking on cloud nine, everything that Adrien had done for her made her feel like she is the luckiest girl on earth. And yet, just one action of hers threw away all the things that she had done to build this relationship with him. Now, Adrien doesn't even want to hear her name, let alone see her.

It hurts a lot, Himawari can see it in her eyes, the guilt that is slowly eating the bluenette's heart whenever she is facing Adrien in class.

As the silence grows stronger, so is her sob. Himawari's eyes are still on her, she finds herself pity for the bluenette, for destroying her happiness with her own hands.

Does she feel bad for the bluenette for what came afterward? Yes.

Does she have enough empathy to help her get through this? Himawari doesn't think so.

The raven head has learned this lesson the hard way, that she has put her kindness in the wrong person and now, she is also suffering. She may accept Marinette's apology, but never again will she be able to see her as someone she considers a friend. No more…

"Marinette, it's been hard for you. I hope that you will learn from this experience and truly weigh your actions and consequences before doing something."

The bluenette sobs as she nods her head, understanding that no matter how much she apologizes, Himawari will never forgive her. The bluenette rubs her eyes, she has lost her friend forever. If only she had kept her mind clear, if only she had not let Lila's words affect her, then maybe… maybe things would be different…

When Marinette takes her leave, Himawari's eyes are still glued onto her. Maybe she has been a little harsh, maybe she is being unreasonable, but somehow she can't find herself forgiving the bluenette. Maybe, it's best for both of them to stay as acquaintances.

She steps near the window of her room again, admiring the view. It's some of the rarest moments that she is glad to have this alone time for herself, to calm her mind and find peace within herself. When Marinette shows herself in front of her, the raven head has thought that she would be angry, that she would do everything to chase that girl away. But instead of holding a grudge against her, the young artist finds herself not having any positive or negative feelings toward her, her body is too tired to even consider Marinette a threat to her peace.

As she closes her eyes and listens to the chirping sound of the birds, her lips form into a smile when she hears that guitar tune again. Same time every day, she can hear a faint melody coming from that person, although she is not sure where he is, she knows that he is very close to her.

Luka…

Oh how she wants to see him…

"Hm…very good, sweet one. Your temperature is 37.1 Celcius." Cecile smiles at the thermometer "You can return to school next week."

"It took me a whole school week to recover…"

"Well, your fever has gone up and down so much, it's quite hard to keep track of it." the young woman pats her head "Thank god that it has gone down a lot since yesterday."

"Thank you auntie, for always looking after me."

Cecile stares at her little niece in awe before pulling her into a tight embrace, squealing at how cute and adorable she was just now. Himawari smiles softly and hugs her aunt back. Being in the young woman's arms reminds her of her mother's warm embrace, she misses a lot.

"To celebrate your recovery, I shall make red bean rice!"

"I will help you…"

"No, my dear! You stay in bed and keep yourself warm. Who knows what happen if I let you touch the kitchen, it may make your fever worse."

"It's not that much work, auntie." she tries to argue back, but knowing her aunt, it would be million years later before Cecile allows her to work while she is still sick.

After getting tucked in by her aunt, Himawari smiles to herself as she enjoys the warmth and cozy feeling of her fluffy blanket. Spring is still here and yet, the weather feels oddly cold, today is even snow so it's best for her to stay as warm as possible. She can't get herself sick and have everyone worry about her again.

As Himawari closes her eyes and relaxes on the bed, she can hear it again, the same guitar tune that she heard for the last five days. However, this time, the tune is louder and clearer, like that person is so close to her, she can see him immediately by just opening the window of her room.

Is it her own illusion? Or is he truly here to see her?

Ever since that incident, the only thing that connects them is this melody. It's almost a month of not seeing each other, Himawari misses him more as each day passes by. No longer is she allowed herself to succumb to her ego mind, the young artist is following her heart and the lovely guitar tune. Because wherever that melody is coming from, she knows that he is there.

Standing up from her bed and looking out of the window, today's weather is quite troublesome with all the wind and snow, yet Himawari can't help it. She wants to see for herself if he is there this whole time or not. The more she thinks about it, her body unconsciously puts on the blue cardigan and a white scarf. Still dressing in her pajamas, Himawari walks out of her room.

It's wrong, she knows that it's wrong for her to pull this kind of stunt, sneaking out of the house in this cold weather while still recovering from her sickness. Maybe she is pulling a Marinette's act, maybe she is captivated by the lovely melody she hears every day. Either way, the moment she feels the icy wind against her skin, the raven head knows that there is no turning back.

She has to know, she has to know whether or not he has been here for her this past week, and if he does, why is he not coming forward to see her…

Holding onto the scarf tightly to shield away the chilly wind from reaching her neck, Himawari looks around, her ears perking up trying to follow the guitar tune. He has to be around here, she trusts her ears and minds enough to believe in her own conviction. Himawari only has one shot to prove to no one but herself that no matter the separation, their feelings for each other are still the same.

She is sick and tired of trying to tell her own ego that he truly loves her, that everything was not his fault, that she of all people should never doubt his feelings for her. Every time she tells this to herself, her ego mind always tries to tell a different story. The opposite story of what she truly believes, one that threatens to break her confidence and pull her into a pit of darkness, where she can no longer escape from her doubts and fears as she slowly succumbs to them.

No, I trust him… I trust us…

Still holding onto her scarf tightly, Himawari looks around, hoping to catch a glimpse of a familiar figure. The snow is blocking her vision, chilling her body as she takes a few steps forward, her eyes are still scanning around.

Please, don't let my conviction fail me. I want to believe that he was truly there for me this whole time…

Her aunt might say that she is crazy and Himawari will admit it, she is crazy, she is crazy in love. Never in her life has she felt this kind of intense feelings for anyone but Luka. She should have taken Kagami's advice, she should have confessed her feelings to him. The raven head lets out a pity laugh, she is not herself anymore.

Is it because of the cold that is slowly taking over her body? Or the chilling wind that blocks her from finding the truth, her truth?

She is so crazy in love that she can do everything with this small and vulnerable body of her. Will Luka think badly of her for putting herself in this kind of dangerous position? Will he scold her for being too silly and doubting his feelings for her? Or will he just ignore her for acting on her intrusive thoughts?

Surely, if she is able to find Luka in this kind of weather, he will scold her while trying to keep her warm. Himawari knows him very well after all… So well that it scares her to even think that he would do something different than what she is thinking right now.

I'm getting closer now…

While Himawari is outside trying to find her truth, Cecile is at home, worried sick for her little niece. She has called her many times, only to realize that the girl left her phone in her room and walked out of the house with no form of communication with her.

"This girl will be the dead of me someday…"

The young woman calls the Couffaine family, with Anarka informs her children about the situation. When Juleka receives the news, she almost drops her dinner plate. The idea of Himawari sneaking out of the house in this cold weather is hardly imaginable, but then again, she has done so many crazy things that make the younger Couffaine question whether or not her friend is truly the mature one of the bunch.

"Brother will be so mad."

Speaking of the devil, Juleka sprints out of the kitchen to see her brother, who just walks back from his usual practice. Whenever Luka is asked where he is going, the older Couffaine only smiles and shrugs his shoulder in response, he doesn't want anyone to know what he is doing. That is not the problem anymore as they have a bigger issue to deal with, Himawari is missing and they have to find her, fast.

"Himawari is what?"

Luka stares at his sister, shocked at the information that he just receive. Within a blink of an eye, the older Couffaine leaves the boathouse, holding another fluffy jacket with him. God knows where she might be right now and whether or not she is dressed warmly.

Himawari…where the hell are you?
