He hated that he fell into the genjutsu trap and Sasuke had to save him again, especially since he talked about how he would have to carry Sasuke's weight in the Exams.
Sasuke said, "Alright, to prevent someone else from trying to get the drop on us, we should use a code word".
Sakura replied, "That's a great idea, Sasuke".
Naruto replied, "Why do I have to have to..".
Sasuke had covered his mouth and did a quick series of coded hand signs. Naruto knew what they meant immediately, they were telling to keep quiet and play along.
Sasuke said, "Think Naruto, someone just disguised themselves as you with the transformation jutsu and just because they were worse than you at it, doesn't mean the next one to try that trick will be that bad at the jutsu".
Naruto said, "Oh, got it".
Sasuke told them the password, but as he figured he couldn't remember it.
It had been an hour since then and now he was stuck inside the belly of a giant snake.
He said, "Dammit! Now I get why Hayate hates snakes. That's it, I'm getting out of here".
He struggled to move his arms and hands within the snake's stomach to form the hand sign, but he got it.
Naruto yelled, "Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu"!
Hundreds of clones appeared and forced the snake to burst!
He undid the jutsu, and took a second to regain his composure. Alright, now he had to get back to Sakura and Sasuke.
He reached out with the mind's eye and found them. Their chakra was erratic like they were terrified and under attack. Then the one attacking them was just full of evil and malice that it felt almost suffocating. That wasn't good, but at least it gave him a clear indication of how far away they were. So he leapt and ran as fast as he could to get to them. He had to get to them before it was too late.
He landed on a branch overlooking his teammates and their attacker, a creep who was somehow moving like a snake. The creep's chakra was radiating pure evil that felt like it would suffocate him if he didn't strike back. He pulled a scroll from his pouch and summoned a katana.
Grabbing it in his hands he took his stance and said, "Wind style: Wing Breathing; Second Form: Purifying Kamikaze Claw"!
He performed the three quick slashes of the technique which sent the powerful wind blades towards the creep.
With a high pitched crash the wind blades sliced through the wood of the branch but narrowly missed the creep.
He gave a quick flourish of his sword before saying with the smirk on his face, "Oh by the way I forgot the password".
Sakura replied, "You can knock it off, we know its you. You made it".
Sasuke yelled, "Naruto! What are you thinking?! Go now and get out of here! While you still can"!
The creep said, "Well done Naruto, you managed to escape from my friend".
So that giant snake was a summoning. No wonder it decided to go after me.
Naruto yelled, "I don't know who you are but you better get out of here, Snake Lady! Or I will make a pair of boots out of you"!
There was a pause that seemed to last for an eternity before Sasuke broke it, "You can have it! If you leave us alone, you can have our scroll"!
Naruto yelled, "Are you crazy Sasuke?! Are you just going to hand it over"?!
The snake lady started spouting off some irrelevant bullshit, before Sasuke threw the scroll at her.
Naruto caught in mid-air and landed next to Sasuke.
Sasuke yelled, "Stop acting like a hero! This is the only way to survive"!
Naruto punched sasuke and said, "I may be a knucklehead who can't remember the password, but I know who I am and I can tell I'm not under a genjutsu like before. It's impressive that your transformation jutsu can trick my sensor abilities, but you forgot one thing. The Sasuke I know, would never give up the scroll like that. Sasuke Uchiha is an arrogant jerk, but he is no coward"!
The snake lady said, "It makes no matter, I can just kill you and take the scroll from your corpses".
The snake lady built up a large amount of chakra and performed a series of hand seals that Naruto recognized as the summoning jutsu.
He stashed the scroll in his pouch and gripped his sword with both hands, taking a new stance.
The snake lashed out its tail and they managed to barely dodge it. Naruto landed on the tree branch above him. He took his stance and said, "Wind Style: Wing Breathing; Fourth Form: Frozen Mountain Wind"!
Four high pressure slashes flew at the creep. The creep countered with her own wind style which created a massive blast of air from the collision.
The creep launched another attack, "Striking Shadow Snakes"!
A half dozen snakes came out of the creep's arms. Naruto leapt towards them, ready to strike. "Wind Style: Wing Breathing; First Form: Whirlwind Blade Dash"!
He sliced the snakes into dozens of pieces and landed on the giant snake in front of the creep.
Taking a new stance, Naruto said, "Wind Style: Wing Breathing; Fifth Form: Cyclone Slash"!
The creep managed to evade, but Naruto pursued, "Wind Style: Wing Breathing; Sixth Form: Rising Thermal Slash"!
The creep evaded again by using snakes to pull her out of the way of the slash.
The creep said, "Interesting, I must say that despite your pitiful appearance you are quite skilled in the Uzumaki clan's Wing breathing and total concentration constant techniques. Let's see how truly skilled with a blade you are".
The creep then produced a sword from her throat. It wasn't a katana but a jian. Something about it made Naruto feel uneasy.
They stood across from one another with the forest floor hundreds of feet below in between them.
They leapt at each other.
Naruto yelled, "Wind Style: Wing Breathing; Seventh Form: Sudden Gale"!
The creep responded, "Serpent Breathing; Fourth Form: Twin Headed Snake"!
A loud clash of steel on steel rang out as they clashed and landed on the opposing branches.
A sudden sharp pain erupted from his chest. Then his sword snapped in half and blood burst from his chest. He collapsed onto the branch coughing up blood.
The creep called out, "As I expected, you still have quite a ways to go before you can truly hope to face me. Even if your sword was a nichirin blade. Such steel is so hard to come by. Especially for your clan after the destruction of their homeland and the extermination of the Muramasa clan in the battle. My blade is the sword of Kusanagi, no common steel could hope to stand against it. I think I will let my pet there finish you off".
He could sense the approaching giant snake, but he couldn't move. The slash had gone deep, he felt as if his ribs and lungs had been cut. Blood was pouring out and he couldn't breathe.
He felt the snake lunge at him, when a sudden burst of chakra ran through his body like a wildfire. The pain was erased almost instantly and the only thing left that Naruto felt was a red hot fury.
He roared at the snake releasing a massive shockwave of chakra. He leapt at the snake and began pummeling with a berserker's fury. His attack forced it back, smashing into a massive tree. He cracked its scales and started shredding its muscles when it disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
The creep said, "Amazing, so the rumors were true, there is a new jinchuriki in the Leaf".
His angle landed him on the ruined tree. As soon as his feet touched the tree he leapt at the creep who attacked them. His rage infused attacks came as fast as lighting and as powerful as the sea. The creep slashed at him with his blade, but they barely even slowed him down. He got slashed from his collarbone to waist. Cutting straight through his jacket and mail shirt. Yet he pushed through and punched the creep straight through one of the giant and nearly through a second one.
He let out another roar, before pursuing the creep.
Vaulting around the tree that was between them, Naruto went in for the kill aiming for the creep's ugly head.
The creep was up and countered, "Striking Serpent Prison"!
Dozens upon dozens of snakes emerged. Naruto slashed, ripped, and tore through as many as he could but he couldn't destroy them all. His limbs were trapped. The snakes brought him closer as he tried to break free.
The creep said, "Not bad, but not good either. Your power and control over the beast is still a far cry from Kushina's. It seems like you did not inherit the Uzumaki clan's greatest strengths. If I try to kill you now, I'll only make it easier for my old associates to take your beast. So I'll think I just strengthen the seal that the Fourth Hokage placed on you".
The creep held his right wrist and chakra gathered at his fingertips flaring up like small torches, each inscribed with a different kanji.
The creep said, "Five Pronged Seal"!
Then the creep struck him in the stomach. Naruto felt a burning pain before the chakra that had been coursing through him faded. Then nothing as he entered the void of unconsciousness.
