Hello everyone and welcome to my first story. Please bare with me on this journey. I have a lot planned for this story and many more as well. Short chapter yes, but the rest will be much longer. This is just a small welcome to the story.

*In a Dark Void*

The Shinigami is wondering about in his domain. He goes through and looks at the most recent souls that have entered. Letting out a heavy sigh he wonders off further into the darkness.

'Hmm I wonder what I can do to spice some things up in the mortal world. It is getting a little to boring here. Not enough souls to torture before they are sent to Kami. Besides I got to figure something out for 'them' before things get out of hand or kami will take matters into her own hands. I also got to do something to help out the kid that Kami has her eyes on.'

Floating around aimlessly, the Shinigami comes up with a brilliant idea.

'This should definitely spice up the mortal world. It will solve the task I was given, and it will also help the kid in tremendous ways.'

He then reaches into his stomach and pulls out a white orb. He then grabs the beads from around his neck and clasps his hands. The orb starts to take shape, and slowly transforms into a person.

"How does it feel to have your body back after all this time Minato Namikaze?"

The now identified Minato Namikaze looks at his hands and moves around a little bit. He then turns to look at the Shinigami.

"I never thought I was going to have a body again Shinigami-sama."

"All is good mortal. Now I have a proposition for you. That is why I have removed you from my stomach."

Hearing that he has been freed from the Shinigami's stomach Minato bows to the powerful being.

"What is it you require of me Shinigami-sama?"

Raising an eyebrow slightly, the Shinigami smirks. "Well mortal you are quite quick to listen to what I have to say. Are you not surprised that you were freed? Did you expect this to happen?"

Rubbing the back of his head sheepishly, "No I didn't expect this to happen at all. There isn't much I can do when you ask me to do anything. I honestly thought I was going to be trapped in your stomach forever. Yes I am quite surprised actually with these current events. I am just hoping that after I can complete whatever it is you have in store for me is that I can spend the rest of my afterlife with my wife, and look over my son along with her."

The Shinigami starts to smirk slightly, "Well knowing who you are mortal I am not surprised at your actions and train of thought. Now back to the proposition I have for you. It's a simple one but aggravating one for you that is."

Nodding his head, Minato doesn't break his gaze. "Whatever the proposition may be I am sure that I will accept it with no issues. What is it you need Shinigami-sama?"

"I HIGHLY doubt you will say no to this, but you still can if you want. I have been asked by Kami to bring in four souls in particular. Kami has given me 20 years to complete this before she steps in herself, and 15 years have already passed. I was given permission to do as I see fit for this. Since I cannot directly interact with the mortal world I have chosen you for this. I will revive you Minato Namikaze, and in return I want you to bring me the four souls needed for Kami. After you have battled these four and have brought them to near death summon me via 'Shiki Fujin'. I will not take your soul if you use this jutsu for me to claim one of their souls. I know you will be short on time with only 5 years left to do anything, so to make up for this I will allow you one request. Feel free to ask your questions. Go ahead and ask all your questions and I will answer accordingly. Once you have asked all your questions we can talk about what your request will be."

"Firstly I want to thank you Shinigami-sama with trusting me with this important quest. I accept regardless of what may happen. Yes I have a few question. Since I am going to be revived, will I be able to go see my son and spend time with him? Will I only be revived for the remaining five years and have to return after? Will any of these four cause harm for my son or have already? And finally, Who are the four individuals that I need to find?"

Smiling at the Hokage, "I will answer your questions out of order. None of the four have caused harm to your son, however that's not to be said for the future. You are allowed to go spend time with your son and be the father I know you want to be. If you manage to complete your mission within the five year time frame, you are allowed to live out your life fully. As for the names of the four they are Orochimaru, Hidan, Kakuzu, and finally Madara Uchiha. I know you don't know Hidan or Kakuzu, so for them they are part of the akatsuki. Hidan can't be killed physically. Kakuzu has five hearts to which he can constantly replace."

Nodding his head Minato starts to scratch his chin. "They sound like they would just be aggravating more than anything. I doubt they could put up much of a fight. Orochimaru on the other hand could be an issue. As for Madara, if he is the same one that fought the first Hokage then it will be difficult to say the least. Very well I accept the terms gladly."

"Good. I thank you for the assistance. Now what of your request. Note I cannot grant any power or benefits to either you or your son so that is out of the question. You could even have me owe you a favor if you so desire."

Smiling while shaking his head, "There is no need for any of that Shinigami-sama. My request I hope is simple enough. I would like my wife Kushina Uzumaki to be allowed to return with me and join me on this mission. I can promise you with both me and here and our son there is nothing we can't do."

The Shinigami stares at Minato for a few seconds then starts to break out in laughter. "HAHAHA….. Oh that's a good one. Very well, I shall revive Kushina Uzumaki as well. To make things simple I shall bring her here, and you shall explain everything to her while I go and get things ready to bring you back to the mortal realm."

Minato bows and thanks the Shinigami for all that he is doing. It's not but a few moments later that Minato is blinded by a bright light and is welcomed to the sight of Kushina.

Looking around confused and wondering where she is at Kushina spots Minato, and immediately rushes to him with hug. "Mina-kun! I'm so glad to see you dattebane."

Hugging her back Minato couldn't stop the smile on his face. "Its good to see you as well Kushi-chan."

They are immediately brought out of there hug by the Shinigami. "Glad to see you so lively still Kushina Uzumaki."

Turning around Kushina gasps and immediately bows. "Shinigami-sama, it is wonderful to see you. I thank you for bringing me here to see Minato."

"Think nothing of it. It was his request after all." He looks towards Minato. "I have to go now to prepare. Like I said earlier explain to her what is going on. I will be back in a few moments."

Nodding his head Minato grabs Kushina's hand and begins to explain everything to her while the Shinigami fades away.

*Hokage's Office*

We see the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen sitting at his desk looking out the window at the streets of Konoha. He picks up his pipe and takes a puff. "I got a feeling that I am in for one hell of a rough time for the next few days."

"Oh right you are mortal."

Sarutobi quickly snaps around and nearly has a heart attack. He jumps up from his seat so quick that he ends up knocking all of his paperwork all over the floor. He gets on his knees and bows respectfully towards the Shinigami.

"Shinigami-sama. Its great to see you. Please forgive my rudeness. To what do I owe the pleasure of your appearance? Have you come to finally take me away from this dreadful paperwork?"

Laughing and smiling at what he heard, "No mortal it is not your time. This is a once in a lifetime time visit. I am here to set this world right by Kami's orders. There are specific individuals that need to be removed from this world, and since I cannot interfere with this world I have chosen someone to remove them for me. This specific someone is bringing along another. I am reviving them from the dead."

Not moving from his bowing position, "Very well Shinigami-sama. May I know who you are reviving?"

"First before anything stand up mortal and you may take your seat. Clear this office from your guards that have passed out as well."

Sarutobi gets up and calls for another ANBU, and has them remove the others. The Shinigami hides his presence so that the ANBU can do there job. Sarutobi informs the ANBU that he is not to be disturbed until he calls for them again while the ANBU operative drags the others out.

Taking his seat behind his desk once again, Sarutobi takes another puff off of his pipe. He then activates a silencing seal in the room. "That should be everything Shinigami-sama."

After reappearing the Shinigami looks around. After nodding his head he turns to look at Sarutobi with soul piercing stare. "Very well. Before I tell you who is going to be revived you will heed my words Sarutobi Hiruzen."

Nodding quickly, "Yes Shinigami-sama."

"Listen and listen well. Naruto Uzumaki shall learn EVERYTHING when he returns. I do not and will not hear any excuses. Kami has had her eye on the boy and has been nearly tempted to come down herself multiple times to save the boy."

Gulping at what he just heard, Sarutobi nods slowly and starts to think. 'Why would he want to Naruto to learn everything. Could the ones that he is reviving be….' His eyes start to grow wide and he drops his pipe on the desk.

Smiling wickedly, "I take it you figured out who I am reviving then? Go on say their names then."

Without looking away, Sarutobi starts to tremble slightly. "You are going to revive Minato and Kushina, Naruto's parents aren't you."

Clapping slowly, "Good job mortal. Yes they are the ones that are going to be revived in a few moments actually. I thought it would be easier if I came and informed you instead of them just showing up." He then starts to fade away, heading back to Minato and Kushina.

After the Shinigami has left, Sarutobi slumps down in the chair. "Well I might as well leave the seals up. I knew something fucked up was about to happen." He then notices that he knocked all of his paperwork all over the floor and then face plants the desk. "I'm getting to old for this shit."

*Back in the Dark Void*

Kushina is currently crying into Minato's chest. He just got done explaining everything to her and she just couldn't help the tears that started to come out. "I'm so happy I can see my sochi after all this time." She then looks up at Minato, "Did he say how much time has passed there?"

Minato was about to answer but was interrupted. "No I did not say how much time has passed. If you must know it has been 13 years."

Kushina couldn't help but start to cry again. Minato keeps hugging her and rubs her back. "It will be ok Kushina. We can make up for lost time with Naruto when we get there. No one will stop us."

"So much time has passed though Minato. So many memories lost. We will make up for it. If anyone dares to get in my way I WILL KILL THEM." She says as her hair starts to float up like 9 tails behind her.

"Before you two start everything is ready. I left to inform the third Hokage that you two will be returning. I will even be returning you in his office."

Nodding his head, "Thank you Shinigami-sama for all that you are allowing me to do. And thank you again for allowing Kushina to come back with me."

Shaking his head, "No Minato Namikaze it is I that should be thanking you. You both are helping me with more than just my task."

Kushina lets go of Minato and turns to look at the Shinigami, "What do you mean we are helping you with more than your task?"

Smiling softly the Shinigami looks her dead in the eyes. "Its not for me to say. It involves your son though. You can ask the Third Hokage all about it, but it will be best to hear it all from him. All I will say is that life has not been kind to Naruto in any way. Sure he has had a few good moments but that's it. It has been so bad that Kami was tempted to go down and save him multiple times. She wants him to have a good life that he deserves. And it starts with you two here and now."

Before Kushina or Minato could say anything else they both disappeared. The Shinigami started the process of reviving them when he returned. Now sighing to himself he can't help but be worried. 'Have I done enough to help him Kami.'

He wonders off into the void not noticing that Kami had been watching since the very beginning. 'Oh shin you are such a softy. You did all that and went against the natural order to help Naruto and hid it behind a mission. I guess I should do something special for him as well. After all he needs to be prepared for when 'that clan' shows up.'
