The POV of Eric, Head Healer:
I was sitting at my desk in my office reading through the paperwork of all the patients at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. We have five out of ten rooms on one floor with patients on them. This indicates that it was a peaceful day for us, whereas usually we are packed to the brim.
I heard my fireplace alarm go off, notifying me that someone was trying to enter. As quickly as I can, I get up from my seat and permit them to enter. In contrast, I was not prepared for one of my healers to run through, holding a black bundle and crying.
"AVA! Are you OK? What happened?" I ask in a rush as I examine the red, crimson blood on her hands and white shirt. I feel alarmed.
"NO Eric, I am not OK! As I was heading home from my night shift while walking through the park in Surrey, I saw this little boy." My heart skipped a beat upon finding out the bundle was a child. I grabbed Ava's arm and led her to an empty room next to my office as Ava continued to talk."Under a bench in a large puddle of blood, so I brought him here as fast as I could." I turn to look at her seeing she is going into shock. Grabbing the child, I place him on the bed and say. "You can clean yourself while I treat the child. Oh, and if you can get five more healers right now, pleaseā¦. You can tell me anything else you experienced when you found the boy...ok." When I heard nothing not even foot steps I looked at her. I noticed she was in shock but as I snapped my fingers she jolted herself out of it and ran out of the room.
As I strip the child of Ava's coat and oversized clothes, I avoid hurting him. Immediately I am having to use the ratty top he was wearing to put pressure on a very large laceration on his left side of his chest. "WHERE ARE THOSE HEALERS? THIS CHILD IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION!" The moment I said that, the five healers I had asked Ava for came running in with potions and bandages as well as nightclothes to put on him.
Ava came in still bloodied. "Here's some warm water and a soft cloth to wash the blood off of him and clean the wounds he has." She says as she puts a dish of warm water and a hand cloth on the side table. "Thank you Ava, but please leave and take care of yourself and get clean." I tell her as she tries to help with the boy. When I say this, she looks at me and I nod, reassuring her that the kid is in good hands. "Ok, let me know if you need me." She replies as she leaves the room.
When I turned to look at the boy, the other healers were cleaning his face with a cloth and water. Something caught my attention: a pale pink birthmark on the left side of his neck. Right then, something clicked in my mind about who this child might be.
I look at the healers and give orders. "Cassandra, can you and Diana, as well as Leo, begin to do the diagnostic charms for his past and present wounds, as well as his mental health, please?" The three healers in question nod at my order and move to the child's side and pull out their wands. Three spells were cast. 'Aloe vera.' Cassandra muttered for his mind. 'Philodendron bipinnatifidum.' Diana almost sang for his past. 'Dolore presente.' Leo almost cried when he saw the child in pain, wanting to know what he needed to recover from. Three parchment sets appeared in front of them.
I turn to the two men who were trying to stop the bleeding. "Charon, can you and Gerald start to use the healing spells on the bigger wounds first then wrap the parts of his body what ever you can't heal with the spells, we need to start with the most severe to smaller wounds." They nod and quickly start to heal the biggest wound that was on his chest using the 'Vulnera Sanentur' then using the 'Brackium Emendo' spell on the smaller wounds.
Ava returns to the room clean and in her work clothes. "Ava, I need to check something so can you start mixing the necessary potions together, please?" I ask her. She walks to where the potions are. I exit the room as Ava and the other healers tend to the child and head to my office.
As soon as I walked into my office, I headed straight for the file cabinets. All past patients' records are kept in these filing cabinets. I was reading through the files of all the children born with a birthmark on the left side of their neck. Approximately nine to eight years ago, I found the file I was looking for, but reading it confused me.

Time of Death on 18 September 1985: Cause of death severe malnourishment and severe physical abuse. Hadrian Potter was born with cole black hair pale skin and electrifying emerald green eyes and a pale pink birthmark on the left side of his neck. Blood status half blood.
Looking at the document again about the Potter's last born son, he is the only child that fits the look of the child in my care. However Hadrian Potter died in 1985 but the year now is 1989, which could only mean this child may be under glamour to replace the already dead Potter. Putting the documents down I sit at my desk and write a letter.

I am writing to you today to request a cleansing ritual to remove a glamour and possible blocks on a young boy that was brought to me early this morning by Ava. She is the one to have found the boy in the first place. I would also like to request a blood test after the ritual to find out who the child's parents are. I will be happy to pay you in interest for the ritual to be done today or tomorrow the sooner the better.
Yours truly Head Healer Eric of St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.
Folding the letter I placed it in an envelope and sealed it with the St. Mungo's Hospital wax stamp. I open the window to call my personal owl. "Twila! Come here girl." A pure black barn owl with pale blue eyes glided in and landed on the back of my chair. I had found Twila as a hatchling however she was rejected by her mother for her rare looks. Looking at her I smile at her. "Twila can you take this letter to King Ragnok as fast as you can? It's an emergency." I say handing her the letter. Twila gently takes the letter from me and flies out the window as fast as a barn owl can. I turn to go back to the child and Ava.
When I re-enter the room I can see that Ava is just finishing putting on the nightshirt the other healers brought for him. Looking at the boy I could see he had some light blue night shorts on to go with the dark blue nightshirt he had on. The other healers must have already left because it was just me and Ava in the room. "Ava can you come with me and give me a report on what happened last night?" I ask her as she lay the young boy down. She turns to me and looks at me. "Ok, let's go." Me and Ava head straight for my office to talk.
"And that's what happened last night." I sat there shocked at what I had just heard so I flicked my wand at my quill to write everything Ava had just said. That's when I heard a soft hoot. As I turned to see Twila holding a gringott's letter, I was startled. "Oh...Thanks Twila." I say taking the letter from her and giving her an owl treat for her exemplary and fast work. I turn the letter over and open the envelope to read the letter.
