Chapter 18: Javelin and Kitakaze

Javelin found herself serving as the rearguard for the 'jungle fleet', as they had come to name themselves.

Unofficially anyway, she was pretty sure Amagi could come up with a cooler name than that, but she wasn't too bothered herself. Twirling her namesake weapon around in her right hand she swept her eyes over the trees around them, cringing when she saw a small spider skitter over some bark. One thing she'd quickly come to dislike about being assigned to this fleet was that she had to deal with gross insects... although then again the fleets investigating the forest and swamp probably had it just as bad, if not worse.

Pursing her lips Javelin took a second to check herself over to make sure she didn't have any bugs on her before looking about, spotting where the rest of the fleet was and hurrying to catch up with them. Thus far they'd encountered limited opposition mostly in the form of bats, small insects or the occasional other creature, but otherwise the walk thus far had been a cakewalk. Almost too much so.

She shook her head slowly, looking about. The fleet had neared a large fallen tree that had blocked their path and from the rear she couldn't hear much of the discussion at the front, but after a minute or two the fleet as a whole began to shift left, going downhill.

Javelin couldn't blame them; the only other visible route was to trek up a steep-looking hill, and she doubted the vanguard had gone that way.

Sighing Javelin followed behind Kitakaze as her fellow Destroyer took the lead; the two of them trailing slightly behind the rest of the fleet so there was space. The descent down the hill was somewhat steep and the passage narrow, the earth splintering down into a narrow crevasse almost before curving back up onto flat-ish ground – as such, space was imperative in the event they were ambushed. Though that had the unsettling fact that it meant Javelin was near the back of the group, and away from the safe centre. The woes of being a Destroyer, she supposed.

''Be at ease.'' Kitakaze called out to her then from a few feet ahead, a slight smile on the Destroyer's lips as she hefted her bafflingly big katana with her. ''No monsters shall grab you while I am here.''

''Aha, thanks. Means a lot.'' Javelin laughed nervously, peeking over her shoulder. ''I really hope we don't run into any spiders, I'm a bit scared of them, you know?''

''Understandable.'' Kitakaze nodded, eyes forwards as she carefully descended down through the trench. ''Let us hope then our foes are monkeys.''

The light joke made Javelin smile, a bit of tension leaving her shoulders. They stuck a bit closer to the fleet as they got through the deepest part of the trench and before they knew it they crested back up onto flat land. The rest of the fleet was already moving ahead, the jungle ahead of them dense but those at the front carving a path using their weapons, their feet and boots trudging down anything else and leaving a decent route for them to follow.

Javelin, reluctantly, slowed down to build some space – there was no point of a rearguard if she was just ten feet away from her friends after all; in that time a monster could cross it in just a second. How far she needed to be wasn't stated but experience told her a decent bit – enough that they were well within sight but far enough that she could give a few seconds of warning. As a result though the general thrum of chatter coming from the fleet became a faint buzz; indecipherable over distance and leaving her with only the oppressive jungle ambience to accompany her.

Kitakaze elbowed her and smiled before carrying on, slowly following after the main fleet. Javelin followed and despite her anxiety took up the rearmost position, if only to spare the others the same anxiety – the twisting of her gut keeping her senses sharp if nothing else. Without the clamour of the fleet walking and talking the jungle's noises became so much clearer; the distant snaps of branches that echoed, the hooting of some unseen creature, muted shellfire from miles away and last but not least the rustling of leaves.

'Maybe I'm overreact-'

Something sticky hit her shoulder – and a scream fled Javelin as she was suddenly launched upwards. Branches and leaves scraped against her arms as she flew up into the canopy only for her momentum to suddenly jerk to a halt, nearly giving her whiplash as she hung there in a daze, suspended by the stickiness on her right shoulder.

Regaining some coherency Javelin tilted her head to look... and rapidly paled as she found what was unmistakably webs on her shoulder, forming a sticky rope that went further and further up – and Javelin froze solid as she found the web attached to the maw of an enormous spider. With a dark green, almost khaki-covered body it blended in with the trees and moved through them with equal macabre grace, barely rustling the branches as it approached her.

She opened her mouth to scream – and then in the blink of an eye it spat webs at her face. The white sticky gossamer webbed over her mouth and neck, just shy of hitting her nose and instantly reducing Javelin's would-be scream to a muffled noise, barely audible beyond a few feet. The realisation only fuelled the panic in her system but before she could hope to think rationally the Giant Spider shot another slew of webs at her; her limbs all quickly webbed against nearby branches and leaving her hanging in a starfish position.

'Oh god oh god oh god-!' Javelin hyperventilated, screwing her eyes shut.

But rather than eat her when she was at her most vulnerable, the Giant Spider instead shifted slightly closer... and Javelin froze as something grazed her inner-thigh. Looking down she was paralysed with terror as she saw what was unmistakably a giant, curved ovipositor protruding from the Giant Spider's abdomen, the shaft ribbed with tiny bumps and the very tip soon pushing against her panty-clad pussy.

'Wait no no no, it can't- it must mistake me as a mate right? There's no way, it can't-' Javelin's thoughts became a mess as she devolved into hysteria.

Yet no amount of denials stopped the Giant Spider from pushing and rubbing the tip of its ovipositor against her virgin nether lips, pressing her panties in as much as the fabric would allow. The creature shifted then and although she avoided looking at it directly she sensed it growing agitated, the thought only heightening her fear. A fear not unwarranted as she felt the tip press against her underwear more harshly, the material digging into her hips painfully, her heart in her throat-!

When the material tore, and the ovipositor slammed into her pussy.

Had she not been webbed Javelin's scream no doubt would've carried for miles, her head jerking back and her whole body seizing up as the large ovipositor abruptly buried itself inside of her. There was no gradual penetration nor any lubrication to ease her in; one moment it was outside and then in the next it was buried deep inside of her vagina, the tip pressing up against her innermost parts. The pain hit a split-second later, a wave of searing agony that made Javelin cry out into the webs muffling her face, shaking her head in some futile attempt to get them off.

The Giant Spider spared her no mercy. Making a quiet chittering sound with its mandibles it reared its lower body back before slamming itself between her petals once more, fucking a muffled scream out of Javelin as the penis-like appendage slammed into her once more, the bumps upon its ovipositor scraping her stretched insides. The size difference between her insides and its appendage was so big a bulge could be seen in her groin, a whimpering cry forcing its way out of Javelin as the arthropod ruthlessly kept shoving its appendage inside of her narrow pussy.

It hurt. It was so big it was stretching her out and she could feel the very tip bashing against her cervix, trying to force itself through that final barrier – and just as that fearful thought struck, it did. The stab of pain was oddly muted by the shock of it as the Giant Spider's curved ovipositor forced its way through her cervix and into her very womb, the tip thundering up into her pelvis with every jamming thrust. It wasn't a smooth, repetitive motion, but a slow recoil before it jolted forth, each thrust staggered yet nonetheless making Javelin cry out into her bindings, her tender pussy ploughed by the unsightly bug.

'S-Someone, help, please!'

Yet nobody came to answer Javelin's unspoken plea; her eyes tearing up from both despair and pain as the spider's appendage rammed up against her pelvis, stuffing her pussy to the brim with every thrust and nearly knocking her out from the overstimulation. Her legs and arms remained bound and when she finally had the sense to try and summon her rigging it failed to; the various branches behind her in the way. Even her trusty javelin was of no use, her arm practically immobile with it webbed to the branch behind her.

The Giant Spider made another high-pitched hiss with its mandibles, and a fresh cry escaped Javelin as it bucked its abdomen more, bruising her insides with how roughly its ovipositor slammed up into her. The bumps upon it raked her walls and forced her cervix open even wider, the unnatural sensation making her see stars behind her eyes, her mind light-

-and then abruptly something sticky gushed inside of her. With it came spurts of what was unmistakably eggs, the little balls slightly fuzzy as they nestled into her bruised womb, gushing inside her in spurts over and over again until it felt like her womb was full of them, the sensation nearly making her sick.

'...is it over...?'

It was.

And because of that the Giant Spider spewed more webs at her, using its forelimbs to wind it around her more and more, binding her legs together and her arms to her sides. Renewed panic, renewed terror soared up within Javelin and she struggled with all her might, crying out for help that would never come.

Until eventually she was entirely encased in a cocoon of spider silk, her barely-squirming form laid on the Giant Spider's web for safekeeping.

X-x-X

Kitakaze heard Javelin scream.

However, much to her shock, when she spun around the Destroyer was nowhere to be seen.

No telltale rustle of bushes, no distant cries for help, nothing. It was like she fell down a mile-long pit and vanished, but when Kitakaze rushed over to where she last saw Javelin there was no such thing. She looked about, but frustratingly the high shrubbery made following tracks impossible, with the only clear path being the one the main fleet had travelled – and there was no tracks there that led away into the shrubs, not that she could tell.

The other Destroyers she was with came up to her, worriedly calling out to their missing comrade, but Kitakaze wasn't surprised when no cries came back. The way her scream had cut off so abruptly made it sound like she was knocked out or, worse, the monster had silenced her quite forcefully. From what she'd seen thus far from their spats with the monsters, what they lacked in durability was more than made up for with their cutting power or crushing strength, so much so that even rigging couldn't handle it.

Or perhaps, their rigging was uniquely weak to them. A small part of her mind whispered.

She chased off the thought, though the prospect troubled her all the same. After a second more she shook it off and barked out orders to her fellows, telling them to spread out – and, with some measure of reluctance, sent one of their own to hurry over to the main fleet to inform them of what happened, and to continue on. With just over a dozen Destroyers gathered in a semi-open part of the jungle, she was confident they could handle a few bugs. No need to tie down the whole operation, especially when disabling the mysterious Mirror Sea of this island could well and truly get rid of the monsters.

Hopeless optimism? Perhaps.

Gripping her sheathed katana cautiously Kitakaze slowly made her way away from the others – all of them fanning out with equal distance between them, a usual tactic against Submarines and the sorts to make sure none got through the 'net' and hit their capital ships. All of them were thankfully armed with melee weapons so they had little issue cutting through the thick forestry or brushing aside poisonous-looking plants, enabling them to to avoid any injuries.

The jungle though quickly got a bit denser; tree trunks blocking lines of sight and the ground becoming uneven, some spots higher than others. Kitakaze found herself trudging through some undergrowth, the little trench she found herself walking through cut off from above by the thick plants and leaving her distinctly isolated. Because of that she kept her guard up, prepared to attack the first thing she saw, humanoid or not.

However that didn't mean she couldn't appreciate the prettiness of the little trench. The canopy left the area pleasantly warm yet also shaded, the humidity appreciable as opposed to detestable. Additionally she soon noticed a butterfly passing her by, coming from somewhere beyond the trench and fluttering its way down. It was an eye-catching thing with its lilac wings, shedding a faint silver dust as it flew and completely ignoring her as most normal insects tended to do. At best it made a slight deviation in its path to get around her, but otherwise did nothing else.

She followed it with her eyes, not even noticing when she started to follow on foot too – meandering deeper into the trench and then into an odd cut in the earth, the dirt and mud that composed the forest floor parting like a gash in the earth only a few feet deep.

And within it, she found a bug.

For a moment she considered drawing her sword. Yet in the same instant the thought was... quelled, somewhat. The bug wasn't threatening her. It was just hovering there, its body a light grey whilst its wings were a beautiful lilac that bordered on a snowy white, the intricate line of gold around the inner rim of the wings captivating. It was like a moth, that she dimly noted, with four short wings that made a faint buzzing sound as they flapped in rapid sequence, keeping the insect aloft – an insect the size of her torso easily, its silver-grey body topping in an expectedly bug-like head, but its eyes... they were like prisms, constantly shifting in colour and tones even when she was stood still.

So beautiful was the moth – the Mothgywn, she named it for its wings – that when it approached her, she didn't draw her sword. Instead she let her hand fall to the side and dropped her sword, captivated by the insect as it got within arms reach, then close enough she could probably touch it just by leaning forwards. She needn't have bothered though as the insect closed the distance first, its eight thin legs grappling onto her sides and pushing its body flush against hers. Dimly she was aware of a curved ovipositor coming out of its abdomen, but her thoughts felt too slow to really process it.

Nor was she capable of processing things as she reached down; ripping a hole in her pantyhose and tucking her panties to one side, revealing her smooth pussy to the creature. In response its curved ovipositor brushed against her nether lips – and then painlessly it penetrated her.

It was an odd sensation, Kitakaze had to admit. She felt it enter her. She felt her virginity be taken by the insect. Yet she only felt pleasantly numb, like just waking up from a long sleep and still yet to have regained full mobility of her limbs. So pleasant was the sensation that she just continued to stand there, basking in it even as the insect pressed its body into her torso, thrusting itself into her formerly-virgin pussy, its ovipositor scratching all the right spots to make her sigh in content.

'So much better than my fingers.' Kitakaze dimly mused.

It was all she could muse, really. The thought took ages to process and even as she continued to roll the syllables around in her mind the insect continued moving, its dick-like appendage soon pushing up against her innermost parts. Its movements were becoming faster, she noticed, another sigh of pleasure escaping her as she was mated with. Maybe she should call the others and have them join her, so they could feel this good too. She knew she'd be jealous if the others felt it and didn't share.

Alas she couldn't really move with the insect thrusting into. Thus she remained content to just stay there, shifting her legs a little wider apart to give the insect easier access, although quickly moved her legs closer together after just a few thrusts – the angle making every thrust scrape her insides that much easier, granting her even greater pleasure. The hastening thrusts of the overgrown moth made her bit her bottom lip, her eyes fixated on its hypnotising wings as it edged her closer-

-and then Kitakaze came. It was not an explosive, scream-inducing climax but a sudden sharp tensing of muscle, her body locking up as she sucked in a breath, then let it out in a slow, hissed exhale. It felt... incredible. Not just to cum like that but how slow it felt, her orgasm dragged out and letting her taste every second of it, her legs quaking as her juices trickled down her inner-thighs. She was soaking wet down there, she dimly noted. Her pantyhose would be a bit messy.

The Mothgywn was also putting something inside of her too; its ovipositor throbbing as multiple small things pushed into her womb, the sensation making her moan softly. It felt good too. Everything felt good.

The Mothgywn soon unhanded her – unlegged her? – and floated back, before a second later it glowed brighter than before-

And then Kitakaze found herself wondering why she was standing there.

''Huh...?'' The Destroyer blinked, rubbing at her eyes.

She was staring into an empty indent in the ground, a pocket of dirt at best. Nothing was there.

''...what's so interesting about that?'' Kitakaze murmured with a frown, shaking her head. ''What was I doing...? Right, looking for Javelin...''

As if a segment of time had been cut out of her mind Kitakaze continued on her way through and out of the trench, never stopping to wonder why her crotch felt especially warm, nor why her legs felt numb as if stood still for an extended period of time.

The only real evidence left being the eggs nestled deep in her womb.
