Chapter 1 : Riko's twin brother
Chris looked in the mirror at his outfit that was like his sister Riko's . He yawned and took a breath fixing his blonde and green hair that was a little spiky in the front and put on his glasses . He looked at his red whistle hearing Riko knock on the door to his room . He walked over to the room door and sighed looking at his sister who was his same height before yawning again . " sorry for waking up late sis did the director send you " he asked while walking to breakfast with her . He noticed she nodded yeah . He took a seat at the table with his sis Riko and thier friends , Nat , Shiggy , and Kiyui . he ate some of his oatmeal . He headed out afterwards leaving Belchero orphanage and did not wait for his sister or thier friends . He took a breath as he reached the 100 meter level . He ran forward taking in the nature of the area . He reached a Cliff that was looking down into the abyss and saw a relic that looked rare on the cliff's edge .
He used his rope and started to climb to the ledge . He reached the relic and tried grabbing it . He heard his rope snap as he had the relic in his hands . He turned his head and noticed he was falling into the abyss . He gulped felling all the effects of the curse at once . He felt a barrier protecting him coming from the relic and noticed it was a shield as he landed in some water and passed out . he then woke up in a workshop . He noticed his left human hand was now a robotic hand . He noticed the shield relic next to him and noticed a robot boy with a twin horns on his helmet . He sat up in the bed and felt weak as he stood up . He then was caught by the robot boy . " thanks " he said picking up the shield relic with his new robot hand . He noticed the person next to the robot boy offered him a drink in which was an ancient looking cup . He took the cup with his human hand and took a sip . He then laughed and took a seat on the bed . He felt kinda sleepy and passed out again .
He then was woken up in the morning and given a red cape and a harness to hold the shield on his back . He nodded thanks as the person helped him equiped the harness and placed the shield on it and then place the cape around his neck . He took a breath as the person handed him a bag with some robotic limbs and instructions . He nodded thanks and left . He noticed he passed the robot boy . He climbed the path and noticed , he was in the deepest level of the abyss .
Meanwhile a weak had past since Chris disappeared . Riko was crying mourning her brother . She was laying down in her bed since the director let her have some time to mourn . She looked at a photo of her and her brother . She knew Jirou was on the four level of the abyss searching for her brother's body . She knew thier uncle was on an even lower floor and did not know about what happened to Chris yet . She took a breath as nat brought her some food and sat up in bed and started to eat .
Meanwhile Habolg was shocked as Chris bashed a monster in the head with the shield relic he had . He noticed Chris has a robot hand and a robot leg . He noticed Chris placed the shield back in it's harness and did not speak . He grabbed his hand hearing his nephew stomach rumble . " just eat and then we can talk Chris " he said . He hugged Chris who nodded as they headed to the seekers camp . He noticed Chris quickly eating the bread and rice porridge . He ruffled Chris hair and sighed . " Why are you on the lower levels " he asked looking at his red whistle .
Chris was silent and thought to himself before answering . " I don't feel like sharing anything but I can't give up this shield relic it's what saved me and protected me from the curse of the abyss at the cost of my left human hand " he said standing up still holding the empty bowl . He noticed his uncle nodded and hugged him again . He sighed and weakly smiled . " I am glad I saved you uncle do you mind if I go on ahead since your still busy here looking for relic's " he said as the uncle noticed the blood dripping from the shield relic . He crossed his arms and nodded fine as the uncle nodded no and was told to get some rest .
