Chapter 4:the second layer

Chris took a breath walking behind his sister Riko. He almost screamed as Reg tapped him on the shoulder. He looked at Reg and rubbed the back of his head. He then by accident walked into an oversized tree as Riko came to a corpse-weeaper using a cave raider to try and get new victims. He fell backwards onto his back but was glad his shield broke his fall. He nodded thanks as Reg helped him up. He pushed Reg out of the way as a corpse-weeaper was about to strike and grabbed Riko. He felt anger and tossed his shield at the corpse-weeaper taking down the enemy. He scratched his face as Riko was covered in the blood of the defeated enemy. He then started to feel all the curses of the abyss and ran for his shield but passed out while vomiting and bleeding from his eyes.

He woke up a few minutes later and noticed Reg was carrying him. He noticed his shield was on his back. He saw his sister Riko was ahead of them reading his journal. He sighed noticing Riko was blushing a little while reading information. He watched as Reg scratched his face.

"Glad your awake Chris but why is Riko blushing while reading your notes on the shield?"

He whispered in Reg's ear the answer and rubbed the back of his head with his right hand. He noticed Reg was speechless before saying one word.

"Irredeemable!"

Reg kept carrying Chris while they walked through the forest. He rolled his eyes as Chris decided to go back to sleep as Riko walked over to his side. He watched as Riko put away Chris's journal. He watched as she took a breath before putting her right hand on her chin. He scratched his face as Riko was about to speak.

"According to Chris research on his Shield no one should be able to touch it and it can be used to fight enemies but if he tosses it at an enemy then he suffers the curses of the abyss till he touches it again but Reg you could touch the shield safely somehow!"

Reg nodded while they came to the inverted forest. He started to carry Riko as well as Chris while avoiding Inbyo. He noticed he Riko, and Chris were surrounded by Inbyo. He saw Chris jumped into the air while holding his shield and smashing it into the Inbyo knocking them to the third layer. He noticed a glare on Chris's face as he walked ahead of him and Riko.

Riko sighed as she got out of Reg arms. She walked forward with Reg seeing the corpses of Inbyo. She sighed seeing her brother was surrounded as they neared the seeker camp. She watched as Reg used his incinerator to save her brother. She noticed her brother almost got hit and used his shield to protect himself. She was shocked as Reg fainted after using his incinerator. She saw Chris walk over and nodded thanks as Chris carried Reg after placing his shield on his back.

"Sorry for glaring at you both my survival instincts from when I was climbing back up

the abyss activated!"

She looked at her brother's face as they walked and then at Reg's face as they neared the entrance to the seeker camp. She placed her right hand on her chin wondering why the camp hasn't sent the elevator. She was shocked as Chris put Reg down and blow into his black whistle. She noticed the lift was lowered. She saw Chris pick up Reg.

"Thanks, Bro, by the way, are you dating Nat and Shiggy?"

"Not the time Sis!"

She saw her brother was blushing and crossed her arms. She noticed her brother tensed up as they left the elevator and were greeted by a boy with blue hair. She noticed her brother rubbed the back of his head heading to a room where cave dwellers could rest. She followed Chris who was holding Reg along with the boy with blue hair. She noticed an awkward silence between the two boys.

"You two kissed!"

She noticed Chris and the boy with blue hair blushing. She punched Chris on the head after Chris put Reg onto a bed to rest. She then noticed Ozen entered the room. She noticed Chris took his medicine and put down his shield. She noticed Chris staring down Ozen before rubbing the back of his head.

Chris noticed Ozen looking at his black whistle before whispering in his ear. He poured his face and took a seat on the bed where Reg was resting. He looked at Marulk and rolled his eyes. He then saw his sister had a questioning look.

"I'll be honest since Ozen will probably tell you how I actually lost my right leg that is now a robotic leg like Reg's is because of a white whistle!"

He noticed a look from Ozen to be quiet and nodded fine yawning. He laid down next to Reg and noticed his sister walking over and dodged her pushing him off the bed. He walked past his sister and looked at Ozen.

"I am going to take a bath while Marulk talks with Reg and Riko!"
