AN: Shoutout to my buddy Drakonslayer21. He and I thought up this idea awhile back and I've been meaning to make a first look for a while now. Let me know what y'all think of the idea.
AN2: This story primarily takes place during the UA period. Assassination Classroom is an amazing story and I'm not really sure what I could change by adding Izuku during that arc. Things would play mostly the same with just a couple other character interactions. So, with that in mind, this story takes place during UA and the various important interactions or character moments from the Assassination Classroom story period will be shown in flashbacks as needed.
AN3: There are a few different stories that are being posted as 'new'. Tha's because I have several stories that have no real ideas going forward or have been rather dead with not a lot of views or attention. So, over the next few posts I'll be pruning those out and adding new stories to take their place.
Assassination Hero
Chapter 1
-Aizawa-
"Looks like we got some lively ones this year." Nemuri's amused voice made him crack open a tired eye as he glanced at the monitors. It was clear which one his outlandish coworker was talking about when he saw Present Mic having to break up a one-sided argument between a tall blue haired boy in glasses and a green haired applicant who put Shota on edge.
"That kid's dangerous." Shota felt any whisps of boredom or exhaustion lean him as he sat up straight for once, his coworkers noting the change and growing serious.
"You think he's a plant?" Powerloader asked, hand twitching towards the security bot buttons. It wouldn't be the first time a villain organization or family had tried to sneak in a Hero course student for trouble.
"I don't know." Shota admitted, even as he studied the two, noting the posture of the green haired test taker. The look in the boy's eyes. The gear he'd brought along.
Speaking of though, "He fill out the forms for those?" Shota glanced towards Nezu, hoping the rat could offer up some clarification on the situation.
"He did, and you can relax everyone. I'm well aware on what made the boy enough to set off our dear Aizawa's 'danger senses'." The rodent smiled as they all looked confused, "That boy was a student at Kunugigaoka Junior High before his graduation from there. Specifically…part of their Class 3-E."
"The class that yellow monster taught?!" All Might buffed up in an instant at that and Shota couldn't really blame him. A lot of the details were being kept under wraps, but he knew there was some sort of man…or something, that had blown up most of the moon. They had toyed with the top ten, even All Might, like playthings and agreed to some absurd game of 'let me teach some kids and see if they can kill me'. The students all finally managed to end his life minutes before the deadline but any details beyond that were kept on a need-to-know level basis where he apparently didn't 'need'.
"Yes. In point of fact all but one of that class are applying to UA. Midoriya is admittedly the only one aiming for the Hero course however." Nezu informed him as the other faculty observed the verdette with a lot more concern now. After being taught by a monster and trained as a killer for a year they were concerned about the kid's mental state. If he could help take out a monster that could toy with All Might he was less concerned about the kid's ability to pass a combat test.
"What's his quirk?" Snipe asked, working to pull up the student applications.
"None." Nezu's smirk grew even wider "Applicant Izuku Midoriya is completely Quirkless."
"You can't be serious?!" All Might gaped, coughing up blood, although Shota was becoming rapidly desensitized to that, "Nezu see reason! Even if this boy's classmates were able to carry his weight it doesn't mean he's a suitable hero. This profession is too dangerous for someone without a quirk."
"Actually, according to the reports from the Government Agents assigned as handlers for his class, Midoriya was one of the classes best and brightest. Both in academics and combat. They gave their full recommendations for his entrance into the UA heroics course." Meaning if it wasn't for the HPSC's stupid rules about how only recommendations for 'licensed Pros' were valid then the kid would have taken the recommended exam.
"Nezu, I'm sure the kid is in decent shape and all but no quirk sparring isn't the same as-" All Might's continued protests were cut off by Nezu who gave the number one a stern look, the giant blond actually gulping nervously.
"Actually, given the nature of that class they were run through full combat drills. Hand do hand, weapons training for both melee and firearms, and then even had quirk use in their matches. Even in those fights where his opponents used their quirks, Midoriya was one of the classes 'big three'."
"Where are the others?" Shota felt himself growing curious about how this class had been taught. He'd been saying for years that the education department needed an overhaul, and this might be proof he needed that he was right.
"One remained at Kunugigaoka for their high school years and is planning on entering politics. The other is entering UA in the General Education track, hoping to become an educator." Nezu answered easily, not surprising Shota in the least that the rodent was keeping an eye on those kids.
"The test is about to start anyway." All Might grumbled, the man still clearly stuck on his 'you need a quirk to be a hero' point.
"I wonder what set the blue haired kid off." Cementoss pondered.
"Probably the weapons he has on hand for the test." Nezu shrugged, pulling up a form and passing it around. The kid had applied to use twin batons, a knife, and a pistol and all but the last had been approved.
"Oh yeah, he was the kid who tried scolding Mic for not having all four villains identified right away in the test explanation." Nemuri snorted, "Kid is waaaaay too stiff."
"You approved weapons for this test?" All Might gave Nezu a look that the principal happily ignored while making more tea.
"All Might, we have students capable of secreting nitroglycerin, students who can generate over a million volts of electricity in a second, and more. Not to mention there are students who have support gear designed around their quirk already. I see no issue with allowing an applicant wishing to bring something as simple as some batons or a knife to this test whether they have a combat quirk, a support quirk, or no quirk." And Aizawa knew that had been a hell of a change to push through, the board and HPSC always fighting against Nezu. Would have made his own entrance test infinitely easier.
"We'll see what the kid can do for ourselves All Might." Kan grunted, "Stop trying to change Nezu's mind, it's just a waste of time." the newest faculty member grumbled but relented as they all watched the tests begin and the students pour into the mock cities.
"Kid's already got some points." Nezu remarked merrily as he stirred his tea, most of the faculty admittedly paying the most attention to the verdette. They'd be watching the recordings later to ensure there was no cheating and to distribute rescue points, and each center had multiple hidden pros to ensure there were no accidents.
"Didn't hesitate for even a moment when Mic said go." Shota smirked, already liking this kid who didn't expect something 'fair' like a count down.
"He's tearing those things apart." Powerloader commented, "Look, he's aiming for the joints and figuring out the weak points as he goes." The support teacher was right, the kid was taking each bot down faster than the last.
"You were saying All Might?" Nezu smirked as the giant blond grumbled.
"Dibs." Aizawa kept his amusement at Kan's protests hidden.
-Izuku-
"Yo, mean and green, over here!" hearing the voice of Karma, Izuku turned and grinned, spotting most of the old Class 3-E waiting for him at the pizza place.
"Hey guys." Izuku waved as he approached, smiling at his girlfriend Rio saved him a seat next to her.
"So, how'd it go?" Nagisa asked, the blue haired natural assassin was already chewing away on a slice, "General Education applicants were just sent out after we finished the basic written test."
"Business Course applicants had to write an extra essay about how we'd market one of the people from last year's sports festival." Rio shrugged, "But that was about it."
"Support just gave us a room of parts and told us to build something." Taisei shrugged "It wasn't that hard after the bullshit Koro-…" The mechanic of their group forced himself to steady his breath "After what Koro-Sensei had us do in lessons."
"Hero course was just fighting robots." Izuku admitted as he got his own plate, "Honestly they felt like they were moving in slow motion after so long trying to hit someone who can go Mach twenty."
"Indeed!" the ever-chipper voice of Ritsu spoke up from their phones, their AI classmate having destroyed the servers that housed her hardware with the people who build her original housing. Their bubbly friend now lived completely on the web and always popped up when she felt like it. "I kept careful track of your score during the test and you earned enough 'Villain Points' to be well above the average passing score."
"Then here's to Class 3-E getting into High School!" Yuma cheered, their friend still acting like their beloved class rep.
"Cheers! To Class 3-E and to Koro-Sensei!"
