...

Izuku winced as the doctor pulled the stitches tight. The doctor despite seeing his id was professional with Izuku. A rare instance given that he was quirkless. When he stripped of his destroyed shirt Kudamon wasn't even given a glance. Which was good he really did not want to try and explain what a digimon was. Though if he didn't leave soon he might not have a choice.

"What caused these wounds?" Asked the doctor he cleaned the largest wound.

Izuku looked at him coldly but didn't reply. His silence should be enough since he was quirkless. No one here cared what happened to him. All he needed to do was wait for Yamaki to come get him.

The doctor sighed at his muleish expression, "We can't help you if you don't tell us who hurt you. Don't you want to get out of the situation?"

Ah yes. Make the victim feel guilty about not trusting you. That works so well. What a fucking idiot.

Still he didn't say anything just stared at the wall and breathed deeply. The scent of antiseptic laid on him. At least it was better than blood. He would need to get a new shirt before he left the hospital.

There was a sharp knock on the door and he could see a silhouette. Izuku called out still ignoring the doctor, "Come in."

Unfortunately it was not Yamaki but Ingenium who removed his helmet and a homeless looking man. It took Izuku a minute but he recognized the other man. The Pro Hero Eraserhead. What was he doing here?

The dark eyes of the hero immediately fell upon his soulparent mark on his neck. Eraserhead sucked in a surprised breath. He turned his head to say something to Ingenium who stepped up next to him and Izuku saw it. A green river otter stretched out over his neck. Instinctively Izuku knew that was his mark.

This must be Aizawa Shouta then. The one that Ingenium recognized upon seeing it. Fuck so his soulparent was a Pro Hero. What kind of luck was this? He had work to do that couldn't be interfered with by heroes. Things were already on the rocks thanks to that bastard Sampson sticking his nose where it didn't belong.

His heart panged with the thought of rejecting his soulparent. It was for the best however. A hero would never understand what he had to do.

Eraserhead was the first to break the silence between them, "You are my soulchild. It's nice to meet you I am Aizawa Shouta."

"Izuku Midoriya," returned Izuku coldly, "This really isn't necessary. I am taken care of."

Both heroes gave him looks of disbelief with glances towards his scars. They wouldn't understand. These scars were mostly not made by humans.

Eraserhead took a step towards him. It was slow and easy to read. Like he was approaching a scared animal. Izuku felt his eye twitch in annoyance. Who did this man think he was?

The doctor gave Izuku a pat on the uninjured shoulder as he said, "You're good to go. Take it easy for a week and let your injuries heal. I don't want to see you back here looking like this again."

There was sincerity in his dark eyes. Izuku was not used to someone looking at him like that. Outside of Hypnos few cared about what happened to him. Then the man stood and stretched for a moment. He headed towards the door with a significant look towards the two heroes.

At the door he paused and tossed over his shoulder, "Kid there are changes of clothes in the closet. You are welcome to take one since you don't have a shirt."

"Uhh thanks," he croaked out.

Then like that the doctor was gone leaving him with the heroes. A shiver ran down his spine as the two stared at him. Fuck it. He would get that shirt now so when Yamaki came they could just leave. There was no way he was leaving with these heroes.

With the eyes of the heroes on his back Izuku made his way over to the closet. Inside the closer he found several light weight button down shirts. He chose a plain black shirt and carefully put it on.

Eraserhead asked, "What are you intending to do? Surely you know we cannot allow you to go home? Your scars speak of abuse."

Izuku sighed and turned to look at his soulparent with cold eyes, "I've already said that is a misunderstanding. Things are happening that you don't know and I can't explain to someone on the outside. Ingenium did you call that number I gave you?"

There was a flash of shock across Eraserhead's face but Izuku ignored it. He needed to know if Yamaki was on his way or if he needed to call the man himself. If it came down to it he could probably fight the heroes and get away. The only problem with that was that he would be wanted. Being out in the open would no longer be an option.

Choosing his next moves carefully Izuku picked Kudamon up and placed him back around his neck. One hand then went into his pocket and carefully wrapped around the digivice. If things turned ugly he needed to be ready. By the look in Eraserhead's eyes he caught the movement. So what was going to happen now? Would they fight?

The answer to the question was the door slamming open with more force than necessary. A familiar man walked in a lighter twirling between his fingers. Yamaki. Perfect timing.

Yamaki ignored the heroes and asked with worry clear in his blue eyes, "Izuku are you okay? I lost you when you came back through. What happened?"

Izuku glanced at the heroes before he replied tactfully, "Ambush. Kuda and I were not prepared as we should have been. They're getting stronger. It might be time to contact the others."

Yamaki froze and his eyes glazed over in thought. He knew what that meant. If they contacted Takato and the others they were admitting another war would break out. At this point Izuku felt it was inevitable and he was not sure they would be able to keep it a secret for much longer. If they were going to prevent a disaster the digidestined needed gather.

Then Yamaki pinched the bridge of his nose and asked, "Are you sure? Once the call goes out there isn't putting the lid back on this. Not only that but Sampson would hear."

"What are you two talking about?" Growled Eraserhead.

Izuku and Yamaki gave him a blank stare. Did he really expect an answer?
