"This isn't you! This isn't us! Think about Konoha!"

A small boy dressed in loose and dirty clothes found in the garbage cried out on his knees a few feet apart from from another man who had his back turned

This was a young 6 year old Naruto. An orphan who grew up in the streets and lived off what he could find around him. He was lonely but he never lost hope; he believed in Konoha and what it could become

And he was screaming out of himself

At a man who lost hope of it all

A man who sough revenge for his misery due to those fucking villagers. He swore they would pay with blood with what they did to him. Konoha would fall by his hands even if it was the last thing he ever did. Every building would burn, every person would die, rain of blood would be brought on to Konoha, and he would stand on a hill of their dead bodies

"Stop please!" the boy ran up from his position and latched on to his older self. An older self who came with bruises, scars, blood, and misery. And he; a young boy filled with hope of a better tomorrow. Why?! Why and how did he become like this!?

"You know this must be done"

The older and adult-like Naruto spoke and suddenly the view changed from the pitch white setting. They were now in the streets of Konoha with the kyuubi loose wreaking havoc as the old Naruto began to cut down the villagers and his friends one by one

First came Sakura

Dead

Then came Ino

Dead

Shikamaru

Dead

Hiruzen

Dead

Jiraiya

Dead

And he just kept going one by one as the little boy watched in fear

"S-stop please! This isn't us! PLEASE STOP!" The boy tried fighting the war torn man but was pushed back and landed on himself on the ground as Naruto looked at Naruto

"This is what we need to do! Remember the times on the streets! The times we fed off rats and dead cats! The times they beat us to near death! The times they laughed and humiliated us AND ALL OF THAT FOR WHAT!? BECAUSE WE HAVE A STUPID FOX INSIDE OF US!? BECAUSE WE GOT SOMETHING WE DIDN'T DESERVE BOY! …it's time we pay them back from everything"

The man latched on to his younger self grabbing him by his collar

"N-no! None of them deserve this!" The kid screamed with his teary eyes struggling to find the words to say

"What if I told you that your mother and father died for them? That they sacrificed themselves for you and the village only for their sacrifice to be spat at and forgotten!"

The boy froze with his eyes wide and the man grinned

"YES BOY REMEMBER WHAT THE SNAKE TOLD US! MOVE FORWARD AND FIGHT FOR THEM! MAKE THE VILLAGERS PAY FOR THEIR SINS WITH THEIR LIFE"

And that was another internal battle in Naruto's mind as his true self began to be taken over little by little slowly consuming his very own pure soul

"Something wrong Naruto?" Itachi asked his opponent who had seemed to freeze before continuing his speech about fighting for himself

Naruto had froze for a second. His eyes went pure white with no pupils or kyuubi slits. His mind went blank and into a white arena where he saw his younger self fighting his older self

This wasn't the first time this happened but every time it did he was reminded of what he needed to do. As if his head kept on screaming 'fight' each time he drifted from revenge

His own self was manipulating him

Not that he cared

"No it's nothing just snoozing off since you're well….boring to fight"

Itachi's eyes narrowed. Was he trying to annoy him or something?

"I mean like all you do is fight with genjutsu and a couple of ninjutsu techniques. That doesn't get boring?" Naruto tilted his head to the side waiting for Itachi to answer his question

"If you're trying to get me to focus on you and not Sakura behind me then you're wrong"

Naruto's eyes widened

He could only watch as Itachi turned around and shoved a kunai into Sakuras stomach

"UGH" Sakura vomited blood and fell on the floor unable to move

"Na-Naruto"

Her eyes were filled with fear

Filled with fear of the unknown; fear of death

"SAKURA" Kakashi screamed limping his way to the fight with Jiraiya next to him immediately jumping into the fight going for Itachi

"DAMN YOU ITACHI! RAIKIRI"

Kakashi in a sudden act of desperation used his final reserve of chakra in his system and activated his lightning blade going straight for Itachi who tried moving but was stopped when a a toad tongue came from underground and wrapped around him

Itachi then tried to use a hand that managed to slip to use single hand signs but in a flash his whole arm was cut off by a Naruto who took his blade out and cut clean through it

"AGHHHH" Kakashi screamed pushing himself to his limit cutting through the road tounge and starlight through the heart of Itachi killing him without a moment to spare

In a snap of 5 seconds a S-rank ninja was killed with a combination of Konoha strongest current ninja

Or so they thought

Because when the smoke and derby cleared Itachi wasn't there

Instead another missing ninja from the attack on Suna

"This was definitely a technique used by Kisame and Itachi. They probably aren't far so we should hurry up"

While Jiraiya and Naruto tried to collect themselves and recover from the battle. Kakashi was on his knees next to a dead Sakura

"Sa-Sakura" Kakashi went to reach her hand but a firm grasp on his shoulder stopped him from moving

"We have to get moving Kakashi. We need to save the Kazekage, that's the mission. I hate to say it but she's gone…there's nothing to do here"

"NO" Kakashi screamed. He grabbed Sakura whom was barely breathing. He carried her and they ran as fast as they could to the next location whilst Jiraiya tried to save Sakura with his limited knowledge on medical jutsu

And so they walked away and into a large cave

No barriers stopping them

No guards or traps

Just a dead Kazekage

And an Akatsuki member on top of him using the body of Gaara as a chair

"Oh hello tobi has visitors!"

"We have to keep moving. The connection between me and Naruto is slowly disconnecting. Now this could only mean two things. One is that Naruto is cutting off which I highly doubt. Or two, which is that Naruto is slowly losing chakra. We have to keep moving to his current location" Sasuke spoke whilst analyzing his situation. He was on the run with his crew towards Naruto's location.

"Whats the ETA Karin?" Sasuke asked his Uzumaki teammate.

"I can feel Naruto's chakra closer and closer. I think we will reach them in 5 minutes."

"That's not good! We have to keep moving!" Sasuke screamed as he pushed the pace up. It was very likely Itachi was nearby and he couldn't let an opportunity like this slip by. Not to mention Naruto was running low on chakra which is almost impossible unless he was throwing around S-rank jutsu.

But Naruto is a idiot like that so Sasuke suspected that was the case…However…for Naruto to feel the need to do just that

"Whoever Naruto is fighting is going to be immensely strong. So when we make it I want all of you to stay back and let me do the actual fighting" Sasuke told his team. They did not need to be told twice as they wholeheartedly agreed.

They finally reached the cave and were met with a horrible site.

Naruto was breathing hard. He was obviously fatigued.

Kakashi was also on the verge of collapsing as was Jiraiya who seemed deep in thought behind the two.

And in front of them was a lone man in an Akatsuki cloak with an orange mask.

"Haha this is fun. Tobi likes it when inferior creatures play with him"

"Naruto! Who is this?" Sasuke asked slowly approaching

"Sasuke! You came just in time. I need you to ask Karin to heal Sakura and join us in the fight. No matter what we throw at this guy nothing seems to work we need a plan!" Naruto screamed. He pointed at a severely injured Sakura who was at the edge.

"On it!" Sasuke immediately said. He didn't really care about Sakura but Karin overheard the whole ordeal and quickly jumped into action without needing a command. So he quickly just joined the fight.

"This guy wont budge! We get close and he just turns into a damn ghost! We miss a punch and punches us right back, and damn hard too" Jiraiya said annoyingly

"Let me try" Sasuke walked past the three ninja and towards Tobi

"Yayyy a new player! Don't disappoint!" Tobi said running full speed at Sasuke

"Yes lets play" Sasuke whispered as his 3 tomoe sharingan appeared into the world. 'I have to analyze his technique before he can do too much damage on me' Sasuke thought. He quickly took out his sword and tried to slash Tobi before he even reached him. But much to his surprise all it did was faze through. Tobi suddenly grabbed Sasuke and threw him towards a boulder, completely shattering it.

"Sasuke!" Naruto screamed

As he was about to reach him though Sasuke appeared back with only a small bleed on his lip. He was grinning like a maniac, his eyes spinning.

"Naruto join me in fighting him. I need you to tank his hits while I figure it out. Not to mention…i'm starting to get the idea" Sasuke said not once losing his grin

"Very well ill oblige! Kakashi and Jiraiya! Both of you rest. Let us show you the real power of Sasuke and Naruto !" Naruto screamed, bumping his fist together focusing his fierce eyes onto the Akatsuki member.

"Lets go!" Sasuke and Naruto screamed in unison running towards Tobi. Naruto went first swinging his fist at Tobi. Of course it fazed through. But right when Tobi was going to grab Naruto he was kicked away by Sasuke

Tobi was sent flying away crashing

"Yes!" Sasuke screamed extremely satisfied

"Sasuke you are a fucking genius" Naruto said to Sasuke who only smirked

Jiraiya and Kakashi were wide eyed at the spectacle in front of them. Naruto and Sasuke had managed to get a hit on the once invisible Akatsuki member

Finally after a long moment. Tobi came from the crater.

"It seems I lost. Oh well, It was expected." It said. But in a much deeper tone. A tone that shook everyone inside the cave. As if the voice itself commande fear.

Before any of them could even say a word Tobi disappeared in a swirl

"I don't know who that is but our fight was cut extremely short" Naruto said. He was slightly annoyed it had ended so quickly but at the same time he wasn't sure if he could have kept going at the same elite level for that long. Eventually his body was gonna wear down.

"Just be glad we all made it out alive" jiraiya said to them pointing at Sakura who was now awake and seemingly back to an okay health. She still looked pretty beat up but as long as she was alive then it didn't matter.

"Well…not all of us" Kakashi whispered, looking at the dead Kazekage. It pained him to see that they had been slightly late. If he was stronger then he could have made it sooner.

The same thoughts ran through Jiraiya and Sakura

"There's nothing we could do. Let's just take the body back to Suna and let them give him his proper burial" Naruto said, going over to Gaara and carrying him carefully. A seal wasn't necessary. It was a kage after all.

A kage demanded respect, even in death.

"Well then my team should get going" Sasuke said walking away

"Wait sasuke!" Kakashi screamed but was cut off by a pair of sharingan eyes meeting his.

"I said…My team and I will take our leave!" Sasuke screamed, leaving Kakashi alone and barely able to stand on his own two feet.

'We come so close to each other every time…yet every time I feel that we grow closer apart. I'm sorry I couldn't save you Sasuke' Kakashi thought to himself. His pain is forever lasting, Physically and mentally. He had finally passed out from his injuries a minute later leaving Jiraiya to carry him.

Back in Suna

Once they had made it back an old lady named Chiyo had done the impossible and brought gaara back to life using a sacrificial jutsu. It had shocked them all but at the same time they were relieved to see that the mission succeeded in the end.

Naruto was currently watching the Suna sunset on the Kage tower next to kakashi and Gaara.

"We have lots to talk about Naruto" Gaara said breaking the silence

"Indeed we do Gaara"

Neither of them spoke again till the sun was finally down

'There is still a lot left to do. At the end of it I accomplished nothing. All that happened is gaining more questions…who is that damn Tobi…I have to know' Naruto thought to himself

"You may stay the night in the tower with me and my family if you wish" Gaara extended his offer to the two shinobi. While Kakashi accepted his offer Naruto kindly rejected.

"I'm sorry Gaara but I have more business to attend to. Ill be crashing with Jiraiya at his hotel"

"Very well Naruto, goodnight….friend"

"Yes goodnight Gaara"

…

Naruto walked away from the duo and towards the well lit stress of a nighttime Sunagakure

"Now where are the brothels?" He said to himself with a wide smile. Naruto's night wasn't coming to an end any time soon
