Miles Speaking...
If we had known how important Christopher was maybe they wouldn't have let him come with me, but that's another matter for another day. I guess it would have been better if I was facing any other villain like "the spot" or heck an evil Miguel O Hara, what ever that would mean but I was stuck on earth 1 running and hiding away from a hunter of spiders, who knew nothing else but to kill.
I grabbed hold of Spider NG's hand and gradually lifted him up from the floor, we had barely escaped the inheritor the first time. I didn't know where Superior Spider had been taken too, he probably left us and ran knowing his personality. The whole building was on fire, we had no choice but to run into a rundown version of the daily bugle and we were in no other than J Jonah Jameson's office and we had wrecked it, I imagined all Peter parker's would be pleased.
I look around at the burning scene around me half expecting to get the jump on me by the inheritor, we had been unable to use our jumping devices for some reason hence why we were attacked and almost killed by the spiders and the inheritor himself. Had it not been for the actions of Spider NG himself we probably would have been dead.
"Where's Superior..." I heard a very weak spider NG say, I look at him and help him up to a table at the office."
"Hey hey, are you ok?."
He nodded his head. "Where is..."
"I don't know mehn, probably still on the run leading away the inheritor and the others." Which I highly doubted knowing his personality, but who could blame him, he did warn us following after him was a mistake.
"Do you hear it?" I heard Spider NG ask. I turned to him
"Hear what?" I respond.
"I figured as much, never mind, we have to get out of here." He said trying to get up, and he was right but right now we had bigger problems on our hand, we couldn't even use our devices to leave this dimension, how were we gonna get out."
"Yeah I know mehn, but something seems to be blocking our watches from doing so." I explained. I studied his face under his mask, I assumed he did not look pleased to hear that, but little did I know he was full of surprises.
I heard the sound of something break, like an office equipment somewhere in the building. I turned towards the door, parts of the room still on fire.
"Oh no...they're here."
I turned immediately towards Spider NG
"Cam you move??." I asked him, cause things were about to go down, to which he said.
"Wait."
"I don't think we have anytime for waiting." I said as I hear something breaking again, closer this time.
"Just give me a minute."
"What?." I said turning around, and to my surprise I catch my man closing his eyes, have a nap or something
"Umm, I hate to break your nap spider, but we gotta get out of here."
Spider NG opened his eyes like he was disappointed by what he was trying to do, whatever that was.
"Yeah, yeah, you're right, let's get out of here."
Then we hear it, Crash!! A louder break, footsteps are approaching the door and I think.
Oh boy
The footsteps stops at the door, I get into a stance worried about how I was supposed to fight the inheritor and protect Spider NG if that was him, but I'm spiderman, and spider man can do anything, or so I thought.
Then the door was kicked in, flying across the towards us, I leap over it and catch with my webs about to propel it back when another set of webs catches me mid air and I fall to the ground with the door. I thought it was the Nerve Spider and whoever he was controlling that found us, but to my surprise some complete new stranger walked into the room.
A dude with a crazy hair do I thought was cool, and a rock punk dress attitude walked into the room, he gave me the vibes of rebel and fighting but my senses tinkled telling me he was a spider man, telling each other we were spidermen.
"So, is this where the party's at?" He said jokingly
"Uhhh..." I managed, very brilliant Miles, suddenly I had the self consciousness to impress him. It was Spider NG that managed to bail me out.
"Who are you?" Spider NG asked.
"Urh, well." He said walking sides ways taking look at the objects around the room, picking up a pencil from the table and examining it.
"You can call me spider man."
"We know you are a spider man, but what's your name." I asked.
"Well what's your name." He asked back.
"I can't tell you that, I don't know you."
"Then he smiled and shrugged like, I can't tell you either."
"Ok fair, I'd tell you, it's Miles Morales." I said, "and yours is..."
"Spider man." He said dropping the pencil. He turned and saw I wasn't smiling, but he was.
"What? What's wrong with your face." He said teasingly. I might have loved the whole cool vibe but he was getting me annoyed.
"Fine fine fine," he said coming closer and stretching out his hand for a shake. I don't take it
"If you take it, I'd tell you." He said. I didn't trust him, and I could sense neither did Spider NG, who needed medical attention fast ask I could hear his strained breathing from behind. I take it.
"There you go!!" He said excitedly, "the name's hobie brown." He said, and right now, he said walking over to a window.
"I'm your ticket, out of here."
"What??" I asked, then he backed away to show me the window.
"Oh cause they are coming." He said
I look and see, and sure enough I spotted Nerve spider and the ninja heading our way, which made me wonder where Morlun the inheritor was.
"We gotta fight them." I said, anger swelling up in me, for what they did to Gwen, to Spider NG.
"Yeah I love your confidence bro." Hobie said taking my shoulders, but you gotta go he said gesturing to spider NG, "I'd see you again." It was then I noticed the watch on his hand, it was quite different from ours but I knew it did the same thing.
"Gotta get you guys outta here." He said tapping it,
"That wouldn't work they are blocking our watches from working."
"Yeah I know, and that's my I modified mine and changed the frequency." He said.
"Huh?"
A portal opens before us, I look at him all cool and mystified. He looks back smiling the says.
"Go."
I grab Spider NG, then he turns to face the two approaching spiders, I wondered if he would be ok by himself when he says.
"It's ok, I've got this, you go and take care of your friend." Then he turns to me and winks cool "be seeing you soon."
I nod, not sure if he would be, but I jump through the portal anyway trusting the words of my new ally, then I wondered, wait, where the heck is he sending us to?
