As soon as Komaru introduced herself to the other toons around town, she was given a very important job.

"Ow! This one's pulling on my hair!"

Caretaker to Oswald's Bunny Children, alongside his cat wife Ortensia.

"Oswald Junior #420, be nice to our guest! Oh I'm so sorry about that, dearie." Ortensia apologized.

To her relief, Komaru's ahoge returned to its original position on top of her head.

"I-It's okay! They're all really cute, even if they're…" Komaru finds Junior #53 chewing on her hand, "... a bit of a handful."

Their feline mother smiled reassuringly, "Well I'm glad you're here despite that. I would have asked Animatronic Goofy to help, buuuut he's off assisting Gus and The Mad Doctor with the upgrades to your megaphone doohickey."

BOOM!

"YA-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOOOOOEY!" The yell of a goof rang out just outside the house.

Ortensia facepalmed as soon as she heard it, "He'll be fine. ANYWAYS the kids do seem to like you though, are you good with kids? Do any babysitting before?"

Komaru awkwardly laughed, "Ha ha… you could say that. Oh the stories I'd tell you… Oh, Oswald's back!"

The titular rabbit walked through the door, smoke visible from the outside as he greeted his wife, "(coughs) Honey, I'm home!"

"Welcome back, Hunny Bunny!" Ortensia planted a kiss on his cheek.

"Aw…" Komaru says witnessing it.

"How are you holding up, kid?" Oswald waved over to her.

"Fine mostly, the kids are just… great!" She smiles insincerely.

"Nice, I'll be happy to let you look after them again soon!" He replies to Komaru's dismay, "I've got some news though, two of the Petes have blown town! Small and 'Tronic to be specific. That means they left a few areas alone and unprotected!"

"Really? That's great, now we can—"

Oswald raised a finger to interrupt her, "ONLY for capturing territory and getting supplies back here. They still got a bunch of others defending their sides of the park, so we're still not gonna be throwing ourselves into fights."

Komaru frowned, "But…"

Oswald cut her off again, "No buts! Well I guess only one for me, BUT just in case… The Mad Doc and Gus got your upgraded weapon all shined up and ready to go! So meet me over at the Gag Factory."

"Ok, I'll be right there." She tells the long-eared toon as he waltzes out the door.

Ortensia grumbled to herself, "I still can't give that Mad Doctor even a tiny bit of my trust…"

"Hm?" Komaru overhears a bit of that.

"Oh, nothing! Thanks for helping out Komaru, dear. Be careful out there!" She tells her.

Komaru was none the wiser, "You're welcome. By the way… um, if you're a cat and he's a rabbit then… how did you…?"

"Pattycake, dearie. Not gonna explain any further." Ortensia bluntly told her.

"Oh, o-okay. B-Bye then!" Komaru was out of there as soon as she heard that.

As Ortensia sighed and started to rock one of her babies to bed she thought aloud to herself.

"I pity the poor world that has to deal with Small Pete and Petetronic, they can be such a pain in the…."

"AS I WAS SAYING, you lot stand no chance here! HAHAHA!" Small Pete's laughter rang out loudly.

Location: Outskirts of Garreg Mach Monastery, Fódlan

Ponzu gets knocked away by a Blot-O-Kuma that resembles a broom.

"Agh! These things are most disgusting up close, I need to keep my distance."

Ruby glances over at her and turns to Sapphire, "Uh, who's that?".

"Beedrill lady who worked for the bad guys until she got the brainwashing stuff outta her head. Now who's that?" Sapphire pointed over at Junko, who was struggling against a duo of eyeball Blot-O-Kumas.

"A new friend of mine, she's an idol. Ice Beam, Feefee!" He commanded his Milotic.

Junko waves as she uses Blizzard in tandem with summoning her Wooloo to use Double Kick, "Nice to meet you! Ruby told me quite a bit about you."

"Idol? Uh, she's just a friend, right?" Sapphire asked.

"Of course! Why are you asking me that?" Ruby gave her another question.

"NO REASON, BLAZE KICK!" She shouted an order to her Blaziken while embarrassed.

As the other students were tussling with the army of sludge robots, Byleth was in the middle of a duel with Petetronic. The latter swiped at the professor with a long metal claw attached to his left hand, who parried it away with his sword.

"You put a lot of weight into your attacks, yet it lessens your amount of speed." He comments.

Petetronic takes offense to this, "Hey, is that a jab about my weight?! You're dead meat, bub!"

The brute tosses a spinning disc out at Byleth, but he just uses the Sword of the Creator's whip-like grabbing ability to catch and return the projectile right back at him!

"D'oh!" He lets out as the disc knocks him on the jaw, "You'll pay for that! Figuratively and literally, hospital bills are expensive, y'know!"

Petetronic then dons a pump that fires paint and thinner out of the two tanks on his back. He fires both of the ammo types at him, though he wasn't a very good shot, only hitting two Blot-O-Kumas. The one hit by paint began going after its allies, while the one hit by thinner melted into a green lifeless puddle.

Byleth, witnessing this, begins to formulate a plan in his head. Before he could finish however, he was surrounded.

"Hey, Smalls! I could use the help down here!" Petetronic tells his fellow peg-leg appreciator.

"No way 'Tronic, I'm watching the jug fulla them Blot-O-Kumas! Gotta be able to release the big boys when things are gettin' rough!" Small Pete replies as he leans back in a chair he brought with him.

He began to snore loudly to Petetronic's annoyance, "Oh you big lump of… when I'm done with these brats, I'm gonna take that stupid wood shoe of yours, AND CLOG UP YOUR THROAT!"

"Hyah!" Felix cried out as he cut through a few of his foes.

Dedue then brought a heavy steel axe down upon two more, "Ragh!"

The goopy creatures just recovered from those attacks however, and kept on swarming everyone.

"Ugh! This is impossible! My punches aren't doing a thing!" Caspar complained as his steel gauntlets passed through them.

Annette shot Cutting Gales at a trio of fat Blot-O-Kumas that were asleep, a big mistake. They wake up and begin growling at her.

"Uh oh, um… good morning?"

They then began to increase its size more and more to her disgust before she realized what it was trying to do.

"Everyone get back now!" She warns everyone as they begin to explode into paint-like goop.

A chain reaction occurs, as a trail of those same types of bulbous beasts begin to explode one after the other. One poor sap was near the blast radius of one of them as he was firing an arrow at a winged enemy.

"Ashe, look out!" Junko calls out to him.

Ashe quickly looks behind him to see the robotic Spladoosh (yes that is what they are called) beginning to inflate.

"Oh no, agh!" He holds his arms up to defend himself from the incoming blast, unable to run due to lack of time.

Ashe then slowly opened his eyes as he felt a cool wind blow past him, despite the weather being relatively warm. He sees the monster completely frozen in ice as he turns to see Junko right by his side.

"Thank you Junko, you saved—oof!"

Junko embraced him with a hug, "I'm so glad you're okay! Please be more careful next time!"

The freckled boy was surprised, but he welcomed it with a smile.

"I promise, and I'll be sure to look out for you just as you have for me."

They looked into each other's eyes, their faces being reflected off of them like a mirror as their cheeks flushed red.

Ruby watched on with interest, "As much as I'm happy for you two, we've got a situation here. There's very little we can do to defeat these ugly things!"

Ponzu nodded in agreement, "There will be time for flirting later, we need to find their weak point!"

Ashe & Junko began nervously stuttering after hearing that until their teacher stepped in to assist.

"There seems to be two ways of defeating these creatures, and Junko managed to discover one of them while I found the other. Using ice magic, as well as goading one of their leaders to fire his ammunition at them."

Edelgard and Claude overhear this and walk closer to listen in.

"The blue paint he fires can convert them into our allies, causing them to turn on their comrades, while the green substance can melt through their armor and cause their ink forms to melt away. Freezing them using spells like Blizzard can make them more susceptible to physical strikes, their bodies becoming more brittle and can be shattered with a heavy blow."

"Two options to go for here, eh? You've got it, Teach! Think I'll go for the annoy the big guy into shooting at me plan, and I'll tell the rest of the Deer the other one!" Clause gave Byleth a thumbs up as thanks for the information.

"I'll choose the opposite option for my house, though I will find out who you people are once this battle has concluded." Edelgard stated, directed towards the multiversal travelers.

"Hmph, well I'm glad we didn't choose her house." Ruby crossed his arms in response.

The students, along with Sapphire and Ponzu began to execute the two strategies. The Blot-O-Kumas stood no chance against the freezing cold Blizzard spells thrown at them, their animatronic parts and inky bodies not being able to withstand it and they break apart like glass when hit hard.

"Uh… Small Pete, it's lookin' pretty rough!" Petetronic tried calling out to him so he could wake up.

He just continued to snooze on the job and it angered the boss of Tomorrow City so much that steam was coming out of his ears. Unfortunately for him, he still had to control their unpredictable army by himself. Petetronic fired his paint and thinner cannon at the students, but having no luck in hitting them. It seems like the invasion was failing.

"Eyuk! I think I stepped in one of the dead ones…" Dorothea flinches as she launches a Thoron at a frozen foe.

"It seems as though the number of enemies are beginning to lessen. These plans have produced satisfactory results." Petra states as she slices one in two.

"Let me paint a picture for ya, Four Eyes!" Petetronic shouted at Ignatz.

The "Four Eyes" dodged out of the way as he grabbed an arrow from his quiver, "That's not a bad line, perhaps I can use it for when I become a knight…"

Leonie had to deal with her lance getting chewed on, "Ack, think about one-liners later! I could use the help!"

"Oh, sorry Leonie!" Ignatz apologized as he turned around and implanted an arrow into whatever equivalent of skulls they have.

Little by little, the number of Blotling-Monokuma hybrids we beginning to dwindle.

"Huff… huff… Blizzard, Sagittae!" Junko was beginning to get winded by the amount of spells she was casting.

Thankfully mages like Lysithea, Marianne, and Mercedes were there to watch her back. The last of whom had used Physic to heal her up. It was at that point though, that Petetronic had enough waiting.

"THAT DOES IT! I'M DOING THIS MYSELF, TIME TO UNLEASH THE BEAST-SLOBBERS!" He yells out with rage as he dashes over to where Small Pete was napping.

Using his large hook hand, he uncorks the large jug and out pours six absolute units of paint, thinner, and machine. The Beast-Slobbers were a combination of the dangerous sharp clawed blotlings with a powerful inhale, Slobbers, as well as the savage and nearly uncontrollable Beast Monokuma units. Their eyes glow red as thinner dripped from their mouths, half of them snarling while the other half have wide grins on their faces.

"Get behind me, everyone." Alois tells the students as he and the other Knights of Seiros form a line of shields.

That did not help, as one wide slash from a Beast Slobber was enough to break the formation. Byleth then stepped in, unleashing a version of his Ruptured Heaven move, which did manage to knock two of them down.

Sapphire clenched her fanged teeth, "This ain't looking good… ya got any chemical things left, Ponzu?"

The young woman with the yellow hat shook her head, "Nothing that could harm them. I've never seen whatever substance they're made of, so I can't figure out which one would be useful here."

Ruby's eyebrows lowered, but then they raised up as soon as he got an idea.

"Junko, how many more Blizzard spells can you use?"

"Just two more, but I don't think that'll be enough to…"

"It will be if you put it into one big spell, and I've got a plan on how you can do it." He reassures her, flashing his Mega Bracelet.

Junko's a bit hesitant, but she manages to trust his judgment.

"Okay, but how are we going to do this? They are right in front of us, and I don't think they have any openings."

Then a familiar voice suddenly comes out from the woods.

"If that's the case, I'll Warp you into a position where you can."

Linhardt clutches a magic staff in his right hand, and holds a tome with his left arm.

"Linhardt?!" Ruby and Junko both react to his appearance.

"It wouldn't be much of a good choice on my part to not help out, after all you did manage to help me get home. Although, after considering my options… the total destruction of other worlds would put a lot of unneeded guilt on my conscience. I could never be able to sleep or do research with that weighing down on me."

His companions' eyes then widened as they realized where he was going with this.

"It seems as if we'll be fighting alongside each other for just a bit longer. And surprisingly… It doesn't sound bad at all. In fact, it might be worth my time." Linhardt finished.

Ruby crossed his arms as Junko rushed in to hug the green-haired scholar.

The Black Eagle class watched the scene unfold and were quite surprised at how honest Linhardt was being.

"Huh, that's gotta be the nicest thing he ever said to anyone. Weird, but it feels nice!" Caspar feels proud of his childhood friend.

Dorothea's eyes widened, "Wow… who knew Lin could care that much about other people?

"Just… who are they to have managed to change him in such a way?" Edelgard questioned aloud.

"No no, big monster things first, affectionate gestures later." Linhardt put his hand on her face to push her back.

"Ah, sorry!" Junko apologized immediately.

Ruby patted Lin on the back, "Wonderful to have you back! Now then, here's the plan."

The trio whispered to each other as Byleth continued his defense of his students. Linhardt then stepped up right by his side and whispered the role that he was going to play into his ear.

"If you're so sure about this, I'll allow it." The Blue Lions teacher replied.

Small Pete yawned very loudly as he began to wake up, wondering what the commotion was about.

"Aw, I didn't get to release the Beast-Slobbers! 'Tronic, why didn't ya wake me up?!"

Petetronic just rolled his eyes, "You were snoring louder than the Clock Tower's stupid song that plays over and over again! 'It's a small world after all!', d'oh I can't stand it and you just put it back in my head!"

Small Pete got offended by that remark, "That song ain't that bad! And it was your fault for bringing it up that it got stuck in your head again! I guess that's what you get for having so little in that noggin of yours!".

"Good, they're arguing, this is our chance!" Junko tells the boys.

"What in the world are they doing…?" Ponzu raises an eyebrow, but Sapphire tells her to shush.

"Trust him!" She tells her.

Ruby lets out Mumu, his Swampert and presses the button on his Mega Bracelet, "Right, ahem. Regardless of the effects of time, the toughness that this body encompasses never changes. Yet now its Torrent rages even stronger than before, the Pokémon Swampert goes beyond normal evolution! Mumu…. MEGA EVOLVE!"

A glowing bright light encompasses Mumu as it begins to get bulkier, meanwhile Junko is honing her energy so that she will be able to use her last two Blizzard spells at once. Linhardt focuses his magical energy as well, sending multiple targets to a specific location can be a lot of work, plus he did spend a lot of time trying to come up with what to say to Ruby and Junko.

"You better shut your trap, or I'm gonna… wait, whatcha doin' over there, String Bean?" Small Pete now notices Linhardt on the battlefield, not seeing him there before.

"Oh me? Well, I'd rather be napping like I saw you doing, but now that I'm here… I may as well win. Warp."

Linhardt casted the spell, beaming Ruby, Mumu, and Junko away and causing him to slump over exhausted. Using his magic staff to prop himself up, he observes the area where he aimed to send them.

"Huh?! Where'd those rascals end up?!" Petetronic gasped in confusion.

Small Pete was not concerned, "Forget them! They probably just hightailed it outta here, since they see us about to win! Now suck them in Beast-Slobbers!"

They did as he told him and began their attempt to inhale everyone into their mouths like they were at a buffet.

"Agh, heeeelllllllp!"

"Annette!" Felix grabs her hand as soon as she begins to lift off the ground.

"Hang on, all of you, or we'll be their dinner!" Claude was hanging onto a nearby tree… upside down.

"UHAHAHA!" Small Pete guffawed.

Petetronic then turned around and saw something that caused him to tap on Small Pete's shoulder.

"What now?! Oh… uh oh."

Ruby and Junko were right behind him, ready to unleash hell, or rather: a cold day in hell.

"HYDRO CANNON!"

"BLIZZARD!"

WHOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSHHHHH!

The result of freezing a high pressure water attack could only result in either a certain move in the Pokémon world or a powerful spell in Fódlan. In other words… SHEER COLD FIMBULVETR.

The entire enemy army was frozen solid in ice from head to toe. The Petes, the Beast-Slobbers, and whatever other Blot-O-Kumas were still fumbling about. All vulnerable to what came next.

"HERE IS SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN!" Byleth yells as he uses Ruptured Heaven once more to rip the monsters apart and blast the two Pete-cicles into the nearby ruins

It was over, the threat to the Officers Academy was eradicated. The students cheered loudly, thankful that no serious injuries had occurred in that battle.

It was then that gave Junko the opportunity to hug Linhardt, Ruby joining in as Sapphire and Ponzu looked on proudly.

Linhardt managed to crack a smile at having been the key to this victory.

"Ha, how exciting…"

"You're leaving? Aw… it would have been so fun to have you all here the whole year!" Annette pouted.

"Well we are from other worlds, now that other people know it could cause more problems the longer we stay." Ruby sighed.

"Hpmh, well I must admit… it seems my suspicions about you weren't entirely correct." Felix crossed his arms.

Mercedes decides to tease him, "Ah, now isn't that a sight. Felix admitting he's wrong about someone he dislikes."

"Shut up." Felix tells her.

Ingrid laughs, "Well we're all grateful that you were able to join us, even if it was a short time. Be sure to be on the lookout for Prince Dimitri, Bernadetta, and Sylvain on your journey."

"Of course, we'll let you know if we find anything." Junko agrees to help with the search.

"I'm sure finding them won't be as easy as finding me. A shame, considering one of them is the future king of Faerghus." Linhardt shrugged.

"In any case, thank you for all that you've done. Please make sure His Highness will make it back to us unharmed." Dedue shakes their hands and they agree.

The trinity bid their farewells and soon met up with Ponzu & Sapphire.

"The projector those two used to escape should be around here somewhere. My goggles are picking up one up on my radar." Ponzu told the group.

"It's so great to have you here again, we're definitely gonna be unstoppable against those bad guys now!" Sapphire grins and Ruby reciprocates.

"Yeah, a shame Emerald can't be here to give us a hand… though in a way I'm glad he isn't…"

Sapphire laughed at that statement as Junko and Linhardt were walking side-by-side with each other.

"Did you say goodbye to your class?" Junko asked him.

"They were hesitant to see me go, but they were surprisingly willing to do it. Guess they got tired of me sleeping through lectures…" He readjusts the bag full of supplies he brought with him.

"No, maybe they felt like you were in good hands." Junko suggests.

Linhardt ponders this thought, "I guess it's not impossible…"

They soon managed to reach the projector, with Ponzu and Sapphire hopping through first. Before anyone else could leave however…

"Hey, you three!"

Ashe ran up to them, while also carrying a bag with him.

Junko noticed immediately, "Ashe! Don't tell me you're…"

"Coming with you? Of course! Other worlds out there need all the help they could get, so I might as well do my part! I'll try to carry my own weight."

After thinking for a moment, the three Guardians come to a decision.

"I look forward to working with you." Ruby shook his hand politely.

Linhardt didn't look like he cared much, "It'll be a lot more noisy than I'd like, but I'll accept it if you can fight battles that I'm not interested in participating in."

Junko grabbed both his hands and sincerely smiled, "I'd be happy to have you here with us!"

Ashe's cheeks flushed red as he reciprocated the smile, "I won't let you down! I did make that promise to look out for you like you have for me, didn't I?"

The two of them laughed as the other boys saw what could potentially happen between them and slowly nodded in approval. They let the newcomer go first, despite him being understandably hesitant to jump through a portal to another universe. Linhardt then took one last look at the monastery as Ruby and Junko were about to jump in.

"Last chance to change your mind." Ruby stated.

"I won't hold it against you if you do stay." Junko says in an honest tone.

Linhardt takes a deep breath in before making his choice.

"... I guess I have to. I'm still far too curious not to research you both."

Ruby and Junko chuckled right before pulling him in quickly as the projector shuts off.

And thus, the Trinity remains intact. Although their Trials are just beginning…

Meanwhile…

Location: Paris, France.

"Oof! Ow… couldn't I have landed anywhere but my face..?" Yamcha complained.

Bucky lands in a cooler fashion, while Blaze does it in a more elegant way.

"Is this Paris? Don't remember so many animals roaming around here… or mushroom people." Bucky states as he cracks the knuckles on his vibranium arm.

Blaze looks around for a bit, seeing an advertisement on a nearby digital billboard. It had a logo with five rings in blue, black, red, yellow, and green. That specific logo allowed her to find out what was going on.

"Follow me!" Blaze tells the men.

"H-Hey, you mind telling us what's happening?" Yamcha questions her as the three of them run into a nearby stadium that is being filled with fans.

"I forgot that it was starting this week, but with all the commotion…" Blaze stares out from the crowd and sees a whole lot of familiar faces.

Bucky approached from behind, Yamcha in tow.

"You really need to explain what's happening, because I can't…"

Blaze pointed it out to them as the lights came on and two teams walked onto the stage. Their leaders walk up to each other and shake hands, as if they were old friends before waving to the loud crowd surrounding them.

Who were they?

Super Mario & Sonic The Hedgehog.

"It's the season for the olympic games." Blaze tells her allies.

What an ending, right? I hope this was plenty exciting to read as it was to write. And by that I mean it was very fun. Aside from the parts where I was just blanking on what to type out, in which case blah. I'm glad to be moving onto this next chapter, which I chose to base around Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games. An unexpected way to include both series, but I felt this was the best way to do it without going to both worlds. We're for sure getting a new one of these games either this year or next year, right? Since the Paris Olympics are in 2024, I hope this fic manages to be relevant for that. If not, this will age badly lol. Anyways, I'm so happy for my trinity and I can't wait to write them again in the future chapters. For now, let's catch up with Blaze, Bucky, and Yamcha next time. See you all then, farewell! - Renegade Braveheart
