Chapter Six – The Nail and the Sledgehammer
After working out Seth and Bianca decided to take ice baths to chill their worked-out muscles, when they were suddenly interrupted by Triple H. Hunter seemed more aggravated than usual which was the exact opposite of how Seth and Bianca were feeling after a great workout.
"Hey Hunter, what's up?" Seth said with his eyes closed while Bianca wrapped up her braid so her hair didn't get wet.
Hunter knelt by their ice baths with an urgent look in his eyes, "You didn't hear this from me but Sasha and Montez made out with each other upstairs in Sasha's hospital room," Hunter said and Seth and Bianca laughed.
"Hunter get outta here, we're trying to relax and your comedy is act is staler than week old bread," Bianca said.
"I am not making this up, I heard Becky and Bayley talking. They said Montez and Sasha were making out!" Hunter said. "Please guys you need to go talk to your other halves,"
Bianca and Seth splashed some very cold water on Hunter before ignoring him completely.
"Okay fine, talk to Bayley and Bianca yourselves but don't say I didn't try to help you. Maybe if you two weren't so concerned with God stuff instead of taking care of your marriages this wouldn't have happened. Two hot people in one room equals trouble – do the math morons!" Hunter yelled before leaving Bianca and Seth alone.
"Thank God he's gone," Seth said relaxed.
"I never thought he'd leave," Bianca added. "Like God wouldn't have told me if Montez and Sasha were making out upstairs,"
"He's just looking out for us, sometimes he doesn't know what to do with that big nose of his so he puts it in the wrong place," Seth said and then he raised his eyebrow and turned to Bianca who was completely chilled out. "But then why would he say he overheard Becky and Bayley saying that Tez and Sasha were making out?"
"To get attention, duh Seth, did you just meet Hunter? We just had babies, whenever the conversation is not about him, Hunter must make stuff up to make sure we're thinking about him and not ourselves or our families," Bianca said. "Our other halves are not making out Seth, so chill and for the love of God, don't listen to Hunter,"
Seth lowered his curious eyebrow and closed his eyes, "Okay EST, I trust you, now let's never speak of it again," he said and Bianca smiled before they fell back into the blissful silence both their minds and bodies needed.
Unfortunately for them, the silence didn't last and they were once again interrupted, this time by Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair.
"Is that ice water atrophying your brains?" Alexa yelled causing Bianca and Seth to stare at her strangely. "Get out of those ice baths and go talk to your other halves!"
"What are you talking about, there's nothing going on with our spouses!" Bianca insisted.
"Oh yeah? Then why were they making out in Sasha's hospital bedroom?" Alexa added.
"That's not true, Hunter is just saying that to get attention," Seth said.
"No, it did happen Becky saw the whole thing," Charlotte said and Seth and Bianca exchanged glances.
"We better get to the bottom of this," Bianca said and they reluctantly got out of their ice baths, towelled off, got dressed and went to see what on Earth was going on outside the gym.
Bianca shook her head at the God Girls as they walked towards Sasha's hospital bedroom, "You know it would be really nice if Seth and I could leave you guys alone without having to deal with nonsense like Hunter spreading rumours about our spouses making out with each other," she said and as they headed towards the hospital room, Shawn Michaels, Becky, and Bayley cut them off before they could go in.
"Back from the gym already?" Becky said zealously.
"We need to see Tez and Sasha, can you go outside with the DX family and ATM until we're finished talking to them?" Seth said.
"You don't have to talk to them, you talk to them all the time!" Bayley said giddily and Seth and Bianca exchanged puzzled glances. "Why don't you go for a walk? You know, walk off all that high intensity exertion. Then you can talk to Tez and Sasha when you get back,"
"Okay, what the Hell is going on? You Girls are acting so weird right now. Please just go outside and stay out there until we're done talking to Tez and Sasha," Seth said and Charlotte and Alexa shook their heads at Bayley and Becky.
"We think they should go in and see Sasha and Tez," Charlotte said.
"Well, we don't," Becky replied.
"All of you go now!" Seth demanded and Bianca couldn't believe the way the God Girls were behaving.
"Why are ya'll acting like this?" she asked them but before she could get a response, ATM came into the hospital to save the day.
"The McCools are on their way, we need to get prepared. Things are about to get nasty," Trish said. "They think that Sasha and Seth mercy killed baby Michelle. They're accusing you of infanticide,"
"We need to go outside they called the media," Amy added and Seth and the God Girls nodded.
"Okay we'll take care of it, then we're gonna talk about this rumour about Sasha and Tez making out," Seth said shaking his head at the God Girls, "I'm really disappointed in you guys. You know better than to listen to Hunter,"
Bianca and Seth left to go outside while the rest of the God Girls looked at each other with bemusement.
"Why did you tell them Tez and Sasha made out?" Becky asked Charlotte and Alexa.
"Because you said they made out," Charlotte replied.
"No, I said I thought they made out, Sasha explained everything. Nothing happened," Becky said.
"But we heard you telling Shawn that Seth and Bianca really need to talk to Tez and Sasha before they made out again," Alexa said.
"You were taking me way to literally. I meant Seth and Bianca should talk to Tez and Sasha with us, so we could explain the whole thing, just in-case Tez tried to make out with Sasha again," Becky said and Alexa and Charlotte furrowed their brows.
"So Tez and Sasha did make out," Alexa said and Becky pulled at her hair furiously.
"No, they didn't, I said they didn't make out. Do you two have sponges for brains? That's why I told Bayley about it and not you two dumb blonds!" Becky said and the God Girls degenerated into an argument.
"Girls get it together you're supposed to be a team!" Shawn Michaels said firmly. "You really can't be falling apart like this when Seth and Bianca aren't around to guide you. You should be able to function jus as well when they're not here. Now just drop this whole thing and go outside and wait for the McCools to get here. I'm gonna go check on the baby girls, I'll see you in a minute,"
As the God Girls hugged it out and apologised to each other, Shawn went into the nursery to make sure Havana Rollins and Perfection Ford were okay. As he looked over all the babies, he couldn't see Havana or Perfection and so he found a nurse and asked where they were.
"Havana and Perfection have been discharged. Mrs Rollins and Mr Ford took them home a few minutes ago," the nurse said and Shawn's mouth dropped.
"They left the hospital?" Shawn asked aghast and the nurse nodded before leaving Shawn with his incredulity. After the news had sunk in, he ran outside to tell Seth and the God Girls that Sasha and Montez had left with the babies only to see a cavalcade of news trucks surrounding everyone. Shawn pulled out his cell phone and called his daughter Cheyenne who was on her way to Connecticut to see him and help out with everything that was going on.
"Honey it's me, I need your help. You know those two very special babies I told you about? Well, they could be in danger and I need you and your brother to find Havana and Perfection right now. No, under no circumstances are you to tell Lisa, we need her to stay by the hospital with the other DX kids. If she asks, just tell her I said not to tell her. Yeah, I know she'll get mad but I don't care I'll take care of it, just go now please. They should be heading south, cut them off before they leave Greenwich," Shawn said to Cheyenne Calloway who agreed to her father's request and hung up giving her husband and father-in-law a heads up.
"I gotta go rescue a couple of babies," Cheyenne said to Garrett and Mark Calloway aka, the Undertaker.
"Aren't you gonna tell your father that you're having a baby of your own?" Undertaker replied as Garrett touched his wife's stomach lovingly.
Cheyenne exhaled deeply after putting her hand over her husband's and giving her father-in-law a sober look, "One baby at a time Mark," she said then she called her brother Cameron who too couldn't believe what their father had asked his pregnant sister to do. Cheyenne insisted now was not the time to tell her father she was having a baby and that she could still function as the Girl with Phenomenal Strength without endangering her unborn child.
"Don't worry Cameron I'm coming along for the ride," Undertaker assured Cameron Michaels who was relieved the Deadman would be accompanying them on one of the most important missions in the history of the DX family.
"Okay thanks Mark, see you in Connecticut," Cameron said and Lisa, his wife and Hunter's daughter gave him an enquiring look.
"Who was that?" she asked him and Cameron furrowed his brow and bit his lip nervously. How do I keep my wife in the dark about this? Shawn needed Lisa in Greenwich where she would be most useful. How do I tell her that I won't be by her side on one the most important missions of our lives?
