Chapter Fifteen – The Royal Extravaganza
The Junk Yard was the name of the Damsels of Destructions' underground apartment. It had a pool, seven bedrooms and a private passage to both La Guardia and JFK airport. It was fully furnished and styled in classic modern Manhattan with a touch of Damsel gaud. There was a room fully of Baroque gold and art inspired by Roman Catholicism that the Pope liked to hang out in when he was trying to keep a low profile. They had entertained many A list celebrities and political powerhouses at the Junk Yard, and it was one of the best kept secrets in New York City.
That was bound to change once Triple H got out of there as it was impossible for the Cerebral Assman to keep his mouth shut about anything. One thing Hunter was more than happy to talk about however was how he and the DX family were finally going to bring Shane McMahon down once and for all.
"Let me introduce you to some very important artwork," Hunter said to Seth and the God Girls, who were all now freshly showered and changed and looking much more like their original selves before they went fake homeless. Hunter raised his hand to a large painting of Marie Antoinette while Hayworth and MacKenzie stood by him holding hands.
"I bought this painting a few years ago," Hayworth said. "I was about to leave Harvard at my father's insistence, and I wanted to prove that I could make it on my own with DX family money. So, to finance my Smart Dog healthy hot dog company, I decided to invest in some high-end artwork and so I bought this from the Damsels who were auctioning it off at their gallery in SoHo. I was going to hang it in my New York apartment but after everything that went down with Shane McMahon, I asked the Damsels to bring it down here for safe keeping,"
"He thought he was just buying a nice piece of art, but he was buying much more than that," MacKenzie added with a big smile and Hunter waved Seth and the God Girls over so they could get a closer look at the painting.
"Do you notice anything special about the jewelry decorating the last Queen of France's ears and neck?" Hunter asked Seth and the God Girls and Becky's leaned over Charlotte who was pressing in for a closer look.
"My jewelry collection is way better than hers ever was," Charlotte quipped as the other God Girls gasped realizing what they were looking at.
"Are those the DX family jewels?!" Alexa Bliss gasped, and Hunter nodded that they were.
"As you know the DX family jewels were most recently found in Peru and given to Stephanie McMahon by her husband Jeff Hardy," Melissa Turnbull explained. "This has long led to the belief that the jewels were now the property of the McMahon family. What Jeff and Steph didn't know at the time was that those jewels had been in Peru since the end of the French Revolution.
The French have been emigrating to Peru ever since and some of those former revolutionaries stole Marie Antoinette's jewels and took them to Peru but never recovered them,"
"Those jewels were in Peru for almost 300 years," Hayworth added. "They are worth more than Shane McMahon could ever think,"
"So, you're gonna turn in the jewels so they go back France and Shane won't be able to get his hands on them," Seth asked and the Helmsleys exchanged bright looks with the Damsels.
"Uh nah," Hunter quipped, "These jewels are staying right here in the United States with the DX family,"
"How is that possible? You just said that they belong to the last Queen of France, and you have the painting to prove it," Bayley said.
"That's not all the painting proves Bayley, check this out," Hunter said, and he took the painting off the wall and turned it around.
Seth and the God Girls smiled in victory as they read the thick green letters on the back of the painting. "Property of DX," they read.
"Read the small print," Hunter told them, and Seth and the God Girls continued to read the writing under the famous DX tag.
"DX, I hope you find this painting because it is more valuable than you will ever know. It contains the secret to my success which is and always will be love. Whoever buys this painting will inherit all the wealth it includes and uncover the jewels that Marie Antoinette promised to give to whoever found them in the hope that that person gave them to the ones they loved the most. If my daughter Stephanie ever finds these jewels that are currently hidden in Peru, the man she gives them to will be the love of her life and he will keep them and give them to his children. By this point I think you know that you're the man she loves, there's just no point in fighting it anymore so congratulations Hunter. Don't say I never did anything for you besides make you richer beyond your wildest dreams. Love, Vincent Kennedy McMahon," Seth and the God Girls read out.
"Vince McMahon bought this painting from us the day before he died. He knew about the jewels in Peru, and he knew that Stephanie would give them to the DX family. I guess he loved you all along Mr. Helmsley, but you'd never know that from all the articles we have documenting the wars between the McMahon and DX family for decades," Melissa Turnbull said.
Seth and the God Girls gasped with joy and Seth turned to Bianca amazed, "You knew finding the Damsels was the key to all of this, you knew once we found them, Shane's case against us and the DX family was going to be thrown out," he said in awe of his Treasurer of Secrets.
"And Bayley wanted you to kick her out of the God Girls," Becky said as the God Girls showered love on Bianca Belair who really could do with the break after everything she was going through with Tez.
"Hey, I was just looking out for Seth's best interests," Bayley said in her own defense.
"That's my job," Bianca replied.
"Its all our job," Alexa added, and Seth hugged them all including Bayley who was embarrassed by not sticking by Bianca like the other God Girls had.
"I'm sorry I doubted you Bianca, I guess I still need to get used to being a God Girl. I should have been loyal to you, I'm sorry please forgive me," Bayley said.
"No time for apologies Bayley, we've got work to do before this assignment is finally over," Bianca said. "Shane took Sasha away from Tez and Rhea Ripley's been knocked out by Omos. We must decide what we're going to do first. We either find Shane and rescue Sasha or we go straight to the Feds with this painting and let them deal with it,"
"I think you know what my vote is for," Seth said, and Bianca nodded.
"Let's go get the Boss," Bianca said, and she turned to Hunter and the Helmsleys, "Can you go with the Damsels to the Pentagon via the secret passageway and tell them about the painting after you check on Rhea and Tez?"
"But I wanna come with you guys, I wanna see the look on Shane's face when he realizes he's never gonna get his hands on the DX family jewels," Hunter said. "Rhea and Tez will be fine,"
"I wouldn't worry about Shane right now Hunter, check on Rhea and Tez then go to the Pentagon. Do something less Bone-headed for once," Bianca replied, and Hunter pouted as the Damsels led Seth and the God Girls to the secret exit to Central Park where they were about to confront Shane McMahon and make the epic rescue that Seth had wanted to make since they left Washington DC. Their assignment was almost over with only a few more hurdles in the way and they were more than ready to jump over every single one of them and make it to the over the finish line together in victory.
