Chapter Eighteen – Liv Your Dreams
DX Inc, Stamford, Connecticut
Beth Hardy rubbed her hands together and breathed out deeply. She had just finalised WWE programming for the rest of the year and soon she would be announcing the official partnership between WWE and DX. Now that the Pentagon had dropped the charges against the DX family and the God Girls, life could return to normal and the business could go ahead Shane McMahon free. Beth wasn't sure what was going to happen to her uncle now that he had been kicked of the McMahon family trust board. Her thoughts were more focussed on what to do with her cousin Sasha Banks once she returned from maternity leave next year, along with Bianca Belair and now Bayley Johnson. Sasha, Bianca and Bayley were three of the biggest stars in the Women's division, so she knew the needed spots on the roster when they returned to in-ring action. Beth was happy with Becky, Charlotte and Alexa also. Liv vs Rhea was set for the rest of the year and now that Morgan was Bloodline, the new Women's Champion was on top of the heap. Her opponent however was nowhere to be found.
"What the Hell is going on with Rhea?" Beth Hardy asked Liv Morgan who was sitting patiently waiting for Beth to talk, stroking her Women's Championship and smiling from ear-to-ear.
"Probably sulking in an ice bath somewhere," Liv said indifferently.
"I've seen photos of her with Montez Ford in New York City, what is that about? She's your opponent Liv, the two of you are supposed to be locked in. This feud won't work if you don't know where Rhea is," Beth said straightening the front of her well-tailored suit jacket. "I need you to go find her,"
"I'm not responsible for what Rhea does when she's off the clock. My responsibility is to take photos with this Championship and look good, which I do. Now if you'll excuse me Miss Hardy, I must go find Roman so we can work on our segment for this Friday," Liv said and Beth smiled at the new Women's Champion loving her new confidence.
"I love your attitude right now Liv and I'm glad you're finally working with Roman Reigns but the feud between you and Rhea needs to continue and it won't if the former Women's Champion is missing. Tell Roman I sent you to go find her and re-schedule to meet with him another time," Beth said and Liv sighed before nodding.
"Yes, Miss Hardy," Liv said and she turned to leave pulling out her cell phone to call Roman, "Where the F is Rhea!" she yelled at the Tribal Chief. "She could screw up everything we need to find her!"
Hartford airport, Connecticut
The Tribal Chief was making is way to WWE HQ with the rest of the roster that now included Seth and the God Girls for the first time in months. The roster had an emotional reunion and the airport where Abiyah hugged Seth and Sasha while the rest of the roster cheered the God Girls for keeping the WWE away from Shane McMahon. The roster expressed their thanks to Seth and the God Girls but no-one seemed to know where Rhea Ripley and Montez Ford were, including Seth and the God Girls.
"Tez was supposed to come to Fort Lauderdale to check on me after we got separated in New York City," Sasha said and Seth tried not to get hot at that. "I just inherited the McMahon palatial estate from Shane McMahon and I am now a McMahon family trustee in his place,"
The roster cheered loudly for Sasha and Roman looked at Seth knowing that there was more to this than his best friend was letting on.
"Wow your wife is richer than you now," Roman said to Seth, "Is that a problem?"
"No but Montez Ford is," Seth replied trying not to lose his temper and Roman looked over at Bianca Belair who was talking to Angelo Dawkins about Tez.
"I don't know where he is," Bianca said and Dawkins looked at her like she was crazy.
"What do you mean you don't know where he is, aren't you a God Girl? Doesn't your Gift tell you where he is?" Dawkins said and Bianca furrowed her brow indignantly.
"What does that mean Dawkins? Are you saying it's my fault Tez isn't here? I have been busy trying to save our business from Shane McMahon and I'm about to have my first child. I don't have time to worry about what my husband may or may not be doing with Rhea Ripley right now," Bianca said and Becky Lynch jumped in.
"He's not doing anyting with Rhea," she said calmly. "Let's not blow this out of proportion, this is a time to celebrate, okay? We won and all is well. Come on Bianca, let's go get our flowers,"
Becky took Bianca's arm firmly and squeezed her had in solidarity while Dawkins looked on at Bianca with disdain.
"If Tez leaves you Bianca, it's because of stuff like this. You should be going after him; you should know where the Hell he is. The man is your husband and you here with Becky Lynch and the rest of the God Girl trying a get your flowers. You deserve all the heartache in the world because you're a terrible wife," Dawkins spat and Seth Rollins reached for Dawkins's jersey and doubled it around his fist until they were eye-to-eye.
"You shut your mouth!" Seth snapped and the God Girls pulled Seth off Dawkins while Sasha watched in horror. She covered Abiyah's eyes and walked over to Dawkins to make sure he was alright, then Sasha looked up at Seth with disgust.
"You're supposed to be a man of God and this is how you conduct yourself in public?!" she said disappointed. "What kind of example are you trying a set for our son Seth? I care about Bianca too but she's not the one who's missing right now, we should all be trying to find out where Montez Ford and Rhea Ripley are. Not everything is about Seth and his freakin' God Girls okay?"
Roman got back on the phone with Liv Morgan, "Liv we might have a problem. Tell Beth Hardy that the roster is going to find Tez and Rhea and we'll be there as soon as we can," Roman said and he told the roster that the meeting with Beth had been postponed until the search for Tez and Rhea was complete.
Tez and Rhea were closer than the roster thought, in fact, they were right there in the airport looking down at their friends from the skybox.
"Should we tell them we're here?" Rhea said sipping her water while Montez rubbed the back of his head casually.
"Nah, let 'em sweat," he said and Rhea looked at Tez seriously.
"Shouldn't we tell them what we found out in Texas? That Shane McMahon is working with the Deadman to take down Seth and the God Girls?" Rhea said.
"No, let 'em sweat, we ain't gonna tell them a damn thing," Montez said and Rhea gulped nervously.
"Tez I've known you for so long but I've never seen this side of you. Judgement Day is just an act, we just pretend to be tough but I'm starting to think you're not the nice guy Bianca married. Why else would you want to keep this from her?" Rhea said. "I mean she probably already knows with that Gift of hers but you should still tell everyone what Shane is up to,"
"Finally, the ball is in my court Rhea and it feels good to finally have something that I can brag about," Tez said and Rhea took a deep breath trying not to cry.
"Bianca bragged to me about you for years Tez, you're the only thing in her life that matters, why are you trying to hurt her like this?" Rhea said.
"I used to be the most important thing in her life, until Seth Rollins came along with them God Girls and got her thinking she was more than just perfect. I wouldn't be surprised if she called our daughter Perfection," Montez said. "Now I see Bianca for the selfish, arrogant show-off she always was. She doesn't need me and you know what, after I'm done making my mark on this business, I won't need her either,"
"Yes, you do need her Tez, you love her. Why are you saying this? Please don't hurt her like this Tez, she's my best friend, losing you would destroy her," Rhea cried and Montez looked at her with an evil smile.
"I know and I'm counting on it," he replied. "Let's go,"
Rhea put her head back in distress not moving from her expensive sky box seat. She knew what Tez wanted her to do but she didn't know if she could go through with it knowing what it would do to Bianca.
"You know this is the only way you're going to get back at Liv Morgan for screwing you out of the Women's Championship, now let's go do this thing," Tez said firmly. "Move!"
Rhea got up and wiped the tears from her face which changed from being shattered with pain for her best friend to her game face that wanted nothing more than to get her Women's Championship back.
"Okay let's do this," she said and Tez opened the sky box door so she could walk out and the two wrestlers walked down to where the roster was milling around deciding where to go look for the absentee wrestlers.
"Who's that?" Jey Uso said as a gaggle of wrestling fans started screaming in the direction of a very attractive couple. Only it wasn't a couple, it was Rhea and Tez, pretending to be a couple.
The God Girls' faces dropped when they recognized Rhea and Roman looked at Sasha with rage.
"Abiyah might be staying with me for a little while longer while you work this out with Seth and Bianca," he said and he walked over to the EST and escorted her out of the airport with the rest of the God Girls, so the world didn't see the mother-to-be cry her heartbroken eyes out over what Tez and Rhea were doing.
Soon social media was flooded with images of Rhea and Tez holding hands and doting on each other leaving the roster speechless. It was a wrestling move, an angle that Sasha Banks had come up with to get back at the Bloodline and Liv Morgan for double-crossing Rhea Ripley at Summerslam. The images were many but nobody saw the tears in Rhea's eyes as she kissed Bianca's "cheating" husband in front of the entire world.
"Keep it together Rhea," Tez said as he kissed her ravenously in front of the Judgement Day, who had no idea what was going on.
"Stop, we're not doing this here," Roman Reigns said standing in front of Dominik Mysterio who wanted to pull Montez away from his Judgement Day squeeze. "We'll handle this properly at HQ. I need everyone to turn around and head to the office. Let me handle this,"
The roster eventually moved out. Roman had put Bianca in a town car with the God Girls and sent them straight to WWE HQ where Beth Hardy was about to blow a gasket over what she was seeing online just minutes from where she was.
Montez looked up at the angry Samoan and the little Big Dog standing by his side.
"Why didn't you go with your parents lil man? Or are you as fed up with Seth Rollins as I am," Montez Ford said and Rhea stood in front of Tez so Roman didn't punch his lights out in Seth's defence.
"I got a call from Cheyenne Callaway, the Undertaker's daughter-in-law and Shawn Michaels' daughter. You went to see the Deadman, didn't you?" Roman Reigns asked Montez Ford.
"The only dead man walking around here is Seth Rollins, now if you'll excuse me, we have a meeting to go to," Montez said side-stepping Roman, or at least he tried to.
"No, we have a meeting," Roman said and he pulled Rhea to his side and left the Street Profits standing alone. "You have a date with the unemployment office,"
Rhea snatched her arm back from Roman angrily as he tried to leave the airport with her, "Let me go!" Rhea yelled and the fans watched the altercation until Roman let go realising he couldn't let her cause a scene.
"Okay Rhea, you wanna play this game? We'll go one more round then you better wake up before you're a** gets permanently put to sleep," Roman warned Rhea and he walked away and left the airport for WWE HQ.
Tez came over to Rhea and wrapped his arms around her squeezing her tight and Rhea felt light-headed, thinking about the life she was about to destroy.
"Bianca doesn't deserve this; she wouldn't hurt a fly. I'm doing this for you Tez because I care about your career. When this is over, you're going to be a legend," Rhea said and Tez turned her to face him.
"So, let's make some memories that we can laugh about when this is all over," Tez said even though he had no plans to end this ruse anytime soon. The more he hurt Bianca the better and he kissed Rhea indulgently. The pro in Rhea suddenly kicked in and she started to fall for her own act. So, Rhea quit crying and started participating in the dirtiest kiss since Edge kissed Lita, leaning into it and selling the lie that she was in a hooking up with Montez Ford.
"STOP!" Liv Morgan screamed and Tez and Rhea instantly separated at the sound of her voice. Liv had come all the way from WWE HQ to see what was going on and she immediately regretted it after seeing what Tez and Rhea were doing with her naked eyes. "That's enough both of you. You want this title so bad Rhea, then come get it b****!"
Rhea's angst suddenly turned to delight at Liv's fury.
"The little dumbbell fell for it!" Rhea said delighted to Tez quietly and he patted her on the butt impressed at how quickly their plan was starting to work. "Now go get her while I go to HQ. I have a meeting with Beth Hardy and "explain myself," he said playfully and Rhea's hurt turned to victory as she attacked Liv Morgan in the airport in front of hundreds of enthralled fans and an even more delighted Montez Ford.
