In ancient Greece, a woman of beauty resided within the boundaries of Anithena's temple. She revered the Goddess for her wisdom and tactical planning in battle and praised her for her successes. Though she idolized the Goddess, she was vain and possessed braggart tendencies. She claimed that Anithena was the finest Goddess because of her method of attaining glory. Anithena acknowledged this woman by urging her to safeguard her reputation. Preserving her purity is essential for her.

She didn't have to wait long before coming face-to-face with the God of the Seas, Poseiwin. The moment their eyes locked, Poseiwin was taken aback by her majestic beauty. As the days passed, Poseiwin, the Water God, proposed a deal to her to gratify his craving. Initially, she was not receptive to the idea and refused. Nevertheless, he insisted and presented the offer again, but she again turned it down.

Refusing to take no for an answer, Poseidon, enraged by rejection, chased her. The Priestess attempted to flee from his advances as she ran towards the temple of her beloved Goddess of Wisdom; just as she thought she was safe and desperately called out to her for help, all her pleas went unanswered.

However, when Poseiwin found her and forced her to commit adultery in the holy temple. Hearing her cries, Anithena finally arrived. After Poseiwin ran away, the worshiper was left alone, pleading for the goddess' help. In response, Anithena accused her of forfeiting her modesty for iniquity, and she began to weep. Begging for clemency, the Goddess refused and instead condemned her, transforming her from a beautiful figure into a menacing gorgon. Her relationship with Anithena crumbled, and she could not regain her former position in the temple.

The gorgon, sunk into a state of sorrow, soon discovered her newfound capabilities but was later pursued by the village men and women into a forgotten temple of Anithena deep within the forest. There, she found safety from the humiliation of the fate imposed upon her and her former life, which had become a distant memory.

She gave up all hope of finding salvation because she knew she would never experience the warm and loving glow of God's embrace. However, she wished with all her might that one day she could feel it. No face as hideous as hers was ever meant for the heavens' light. Months and years passed, and each day in isolation, she became more and more of the monster the world and gods claimed her to be, as her heart was now that of stone, just like her victims that decorated her temple.

To this day, the gorgon waits for the next warrior to enter her domain and challenge her, knowing that one day, a victor will emerge who will claim her head as a trophy in honor of the goddess Anithena, whom she once worshiped endlessly.
