Disclaimers:
AN: Date: 29/02/2020, This is my first story ever on any kind of platform, so errors will be made, either in flow of story, grammar or format, thus I request you to please remain patient. Due to the same reason this story will not be too long (I would be pleasantly surprised if it reaches 100K words). I've almost completed my plot and will start writing up with gusto soon. This first chapter was written almost a year ago and I published it without editing it first (sorry to those who saw that catastrophic piece). It's edited now and I might add content to it before next chapter. See you guys soon.
Update 19/04/2020: This story is now also posted on ao3. For the time being the content is the same. Later on that might change depending on how much the FF allows me to post here.
This story is now being Beta-ed by Fanfic user 1saaa.
Beta's note - April 5th, 2021 - I'm editing the earlier chapters of this story. It will be a slow process so if you notice any errors it's probably because I haven't reached the chapter yet. Enjoy!
This story will contain Lemons, scenes of torture and gore, non-con etc etc. If that's not your cup of tea, I suggest you don't go any further.
Students start Hogwarts aged 13 instead of 11.
I don't own HP and its world.
Helen lilian potter
It was Halloween night and children were running around going from door to door trick-or-treating. They ran across the cobbled road, naively innocent of the lone dark clad figure standing in the middle of the street. . Even a single glance under the cloak would be enough to put most of these children off Halloween forever, afterall, it was said that monsters roamed on this night. It had a serpentine face with thin slits for a nose, glowing red eyes and pale white skin. This was the face that had inspired a deep set fear in the people of the wizarding world, so great that they would not dare to utter his name. This was Lord Voldemort.
Lord Voldemort was feeling exhilarated as he looked towards a cottage hidden from the rest of the world. The cottage was hidden by the ultimate secrecy charm, the fidelius. Only the secret keeper could reveal the secret hidden by fidelius and his quarry had chosen his hidden 'rat' to be their secret-keeper. He had laughed maniacally when he had learned that bit of news from his precious little rat.
Through the front window a happy family could be seen inside consisting of a couple and a child. The man was of average height and had wild dark hair and round glasses and was sitting on a couch making faces at the child in the woman's arms. The woman was taller than average at about the same height as that of the man and had a slim figure. She had long red hair and brilliant green eyes which he could see even from distance. She was a beautiful specimen, no wonder one of his followers wanted her. The child was a one year old girl with dark hair and same eyes as her mother's and was laughing at her father's antics. It was this girl that he was here to see. It was this girl that was mentioned in a prophecy about him, about his downfall. Something that would now never happen.
Voldemort decided that it was time to go in and pay the happy family a visit. He entered the front yard and approached the door. Quick as a whip he pulled his pale wand out, he pointed the instrument of destruction at the door and blasted it inwards. The man, James Potter, reacted quickly, jumping up from the couch and pushed his wife towards the stairs. He took a look at their unexpected guest and shouted, "It's him Lily! Take Helen and go! I'll hold him!"
James Potter's pathetic attempts at stalling amused the dark lord. So much so, that he took some time out to taunt the fool and his pathetic attempts at stopping Lord Voldemort. However, this didn't last long, he had a job to do. A single jet of green light and it was all over.
He moved towards the staircase and climbed upstairs. On finding the nursery door blocked he again pointed his wand and blasted it, hearing a shriek as he entered the room, it was nice to be recognised. Inside, he found the child standing in a crib with the woman, Lily Potter, standing protectively in front of her.
He ordered, "Step aside girl."
Lily frantically replied, "Not Helen! Not my baby!"
"Step aside girl, I'll not ask again" Voldemort said irritatedly.
"Not Helen! Take me instead!" The woman continued hysterically.
Amused at her defiance, Voldemort killed her with the same curse that claimed her husband and approached the child, who was strangely still quiet, staring at him. He absently noted that her eyes were the same color as the curse she was about to meet. After looking at her for a few moments the dark lord aimed his wand and shot out a jet of deadly light. How foolish of him, the two words he spoke sealed his own fate and that of the world.

When the dark lord cast the killing curse on Helen, the curse rebounded due to her mother's sacrifice and hit him before he could react. The fallout of this left a fragment of his soul in the innocent child.
When she was brought into the magically rich environment of Hogwarts by Hagrid, the sentience of Hogwarts recognized her weakened state both in body and magic and supplied her with magic intending to heal her. Her body started absorbing the magic and detected the soul fragment. Her magic tried to reject it from the body but couldn't as the soul fragment had already latched onto the girl, so instead it did the next best thing and integrated the fragment into the girl. Since the fragment itself was very weak and was using all its efforts to hold on, it could do nothing to fight her magic and capitulated, leading to a complete absorption.
This moment, unknown to all, was the true birth of the darkest and quite possibly the greatest witch in history. The fragment of soul planted within her would change the girl forever, giving her the past memories and knowledge of lord Voldemort. It took her already great magical strength and amplified it. Finally, it gave her something that Voldemort desperately needed, a perspective on the world Her magic and her soul, both realized that the knowledge and experiences were too much for her current baby body and mind, and thus locked them up until her mind had gained a self consciousness.

'Five years is old enough' thought Petunia, as she decided to use her unwanted niece to relieve her of her own workload. She eyed the girl, who was playing outside in her garden, chasing butterflies.
Nodding to herself she called out, "Girl! Get in here."
The girl in question was enjoying her 5th birthday, after being let out of the house for the first time in a while. She was pale and thin and she obviously hadn't been fed enough. She was looking around in wonder at all the colorful flowers and butterflies, things she hadn't seen before and was trying to catch one of the colorfully winged insects. As soon as she heard her aunt though, she quickly gave up the chase and hurried back in as she didn't want to anger her aunt. That would lead to no food for dinner and she had already missed last night's meal because Dudley was extra hungry yesterday.
She stood in front of her aunt and softly said "Yes aunt Petunia" in her sweet melodious voice.
"You are old enough now to share the workload and earn your keep here girl. Today onwards you will be given various tasks and you'll get your meals only after you have completed them. Am I understood? "
"Yes, Aunt Petunia "
"Good, now let's start easy. Go and gather all the dirty laundry from around the house and then you'll be washing and cleaning them up!"
After collecting all the dirty laundry, Dudley's was especially stinky, Helen washed and cleaned up all the clothes under the watchful eyes of her aunt. The activity left her 5 years old weak body extremely drained. Still, however, her aunt took her to the kitchen and started instructing in the basics of cooking. Here she cut herself up many times and burned a couple of fingers while frying bacon for her uncle. She got smacked on the head hard when she burnt up one batch. Afterwards she was left to take care of her injuries herself and was given a few slices of beard and the burnt bacon to eat.
Soon it became routine for her, to be woken up early by her aunt to cook breakfast, wash laundry and clean the house finally, having a meager breakfast before school. At school she was thankfully left alone by her cousin and his gang of bullies. Later back at her aunt's house, she would tend the garden, clean the house again to satisfy her aunt's constant desire for her to be worked to the bone, cook dinner for the ravenous family, eat another meager meal for dinner and then finally pass out of exhaustion in her cupboard. Most of the days would be accompanied by beating and furious tongue lashing whenever her weak and exhausted body could not complete the tasks, followed by being thrown in her cupboard without food.
A month after her birthday, it was a particularly bad day for her. She didn't get food last night and broke some chinaware in the morning, so missed breakfast too. Her school day was bad too because of the pain from punishment lashes on her back. During lunch, some foolish kids playing tag in the canteen spilled her lunch. In the evening due to her semi-conscious state she accidentally uprooted her aunt's favorite dahlias. She thankfully passed out during the following beating and was later unceremoniously thrown in her cupboard.
With her body close to giving up, her magic, which had been lying dormant till now, finally came to her aid and started healing her. This led to the binding to be finally broken and her magic was finally free, releasing all characteristics and hidden potential within her. All the memories and knowledge of Lord Voldemort's soul fragment started to flow into her mind. Within moments her personality changed and her thought process shifted from that of an innocent girl to a cunning, ambitious and pragmatic woman. She would be ruthless in her pursuit of absolute power, dominant in her nature and extremely charismatic to all those around her. Her magic affected her body too, causing a mini growth sprout, filling her up to a healthy level, healing her damaged skin and returning it to its previous state, her hair morphed from lifeless lump into long shiny reddish black locks and her still closed eyes, drained of all life, gained color and were lit up with unholy power. The girl would soon realise that she had gained some height as well.
Slowly her eyes flickered open after she gained consciousness for the first time after her transformation. First she assessed her body with her magic and found all the changes which brought a slight smile to her lips. After finding everything to her liking she started observing her surroundings and her smile fell. 'This wouldn't do' she thought to herself and directed her magic to the cupboard door which shattered instantly. She walked out and went into the drawing room where she used her magic to form a makeshift throne of sorts. It may have been a bit overkill, but as Helen was quickly realising, the new her had a flair for the dramatics. Then the girl waited for her delightful aunt and uncle to discover her, they should have been honoured, after all they would be the first to serve her..
Vernon and Petunia were expecting a normal morning. Wake up the girl, kick back and prepare for the day. They were not expecting the girl to be regally lounging upon what looked like a throne hungrily staring down at them.
"Aunt, Uncle take a seat." Helen commanded gesturing to two chairs that had slid into place for the Durleys to sit in. Helen's lips curled into an ugly smirk as the pair of Muggles tried to figure out how exactly to react to their five year old nephew giving them orders.
Vernon looked like he was about to oppose her orders but a single glance into her eyes and his resolve crumbled.
"This is how things shall be from now on." The girl instructed, her eyes promising retribution for any opposition. "You will move me to Dudley's room and furnish it with the finest materials, I want no expense spared."
"We don't have the money for that." Vernon spluttered.
"Behave and you'll find yourself landing a much better job, uncle." Helen said. "Or you could oppose me and find yourself on the street."
"That won't be an issue Helen. Is there anything else you require?" Petunia cut in with a shaky voice, preventing her husband from angering Helen. The girl turned to observe her Aunt, taking in every detail of her face. One emotion dominated it above all else: fear. Her Aunt was terrified, terrified of the magic Helen possessed, terrified of what Helen could do to her. Having power over a muggle like Petunia wasn't impressive but it certainly felt good.
"Not at this moment Auntie, though if you could cook some breakfast I wouldn't mind." Helen said, it was phrased as a question but both adults knew exactly what it was, an order. "And, we'll be venturing into the magical world every now and then. That won't be an issue, will it?" Helen asked, observing her relatives shock at her knowledge of the magical world. "Yes I know about magic. Now, will that be an issue?" She asked, a harsher tone rushing into her voice.
"No Helen." Petunia said, bowing her head.
"My lady." Helen corrected.
"Forgive me, My lady." Petunia muttered bowing again.
"Good girl. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to wake up my cousin." Helen said, joy creeping into her voice. The little girl slipped down from her makeshift throne and skipped out of the room with a smile on her face that a naive person would say was endearing.
Petunia sank back in her chair and closed her eyes. Vernon had warned her that keeping her sisters freak would end badly, but neither of them could have ever predicted this. At this point she and her husband had only one choice, adapt and hope this demon was a merciful mistress. This was obviously going to be her reality now, she'd better get used to it.
