To all readers-I'm reposting this again because I'm ready. I want everyone (especially one reader in particular) to that I don't like being rushed when I'm writing. I like to write at my own pace and have each chapter up to my standards. If you dont like the way I write any of my fanfiction, then you dont have to read it. "Kari, don't! You don't know what you're doing!" shouted Matt as Phantomon had Kari in a bubble. "You're giving yourself up to Myotismon! He'll destroy you and gain control of both worlds!"
"Kari! Come back!" screamed Keiko, reaching out for her sister as Renamon held her back. "You can't do this!"
"Kari, no!" screamed Matt.
After losing Kari to Phantomon, Matt, Keiko, Renamon and Sora went inside while the other digimon watched from outside. Matt growled in anger as he slammed his fists on the side of the warehouse door, scaring Keiko. "It's not your fault." said Sora.
"Yes it is. I blew it." said Matt. "Tai asked me to protect her and I couldn't! I let everyone down."
"You didn't let me down, Matt." said Keiko. "I let Tai down too, not just you."
"But I was in charge." said Matt.
"Matt." said Sora.
"We'll get her back, Matt." said Renamon.
"She's right, Matt. It seems to me there are two things you could do about this. Number 1: you can stand there and beat yourself up about the whole thing. Or number 2: we can find a way to rescue Kari." said Sora. "What's it going to be?"
"I vote for rescuing Kari." said Keiko.
"Me too!" said Renamon.
"You three are right." said Matt, turning around to face them. "Let's get her."
"All right!" shouted Keiko and Renamon as they both joined Matt on Garurumon's back while Sora was picked up by Garudamon.
Meanwhile, Tai and Agumon continued to make their way towards the convention center to rescue his parents. "Hurry, Agumon. The convention center's up ahead." said Tai. "That's where my parents are being held prisoner. And keep an eye out for Myotismon."
Just then, DemiDevimon flies overhead towards the convention center. "Huh? Whats that?" asked Tai as he and Agumon looked up. Inside the convention center, Gatomon was going through the kids the Bakemon had captured.
"Well, Gatomon? Is this the 9th child?" asked Myotismon as Gatomon shakes her head.
"Myotismon!" said DemiDevimon as he flew inside the convention center.
"What is it?" Myotismon asked.
"You're going to love this boss. I've found the 9th digidestined." said DemiDevimon, shocking Myotismon and Gatomon with his news.
"You did?" asked Myotismon.
"What? How did he do it?" Mimi asked.
"Oh no! Not Kari!" thought Gatomon, hanging her head in sadness.
"You hear that? It's over." said Myotismon as Gatomon growls at him. "Well, I have no use for these little brats anymore."
"Right. What should I do with them, O' evil one?" asked DemiDevimon.
"Make them go to sleep. I'll find a way to deal with them later." said Myotismon, laughing.
DemiDevimon then created a mist inside the convention center, putting all the kids, including Mimi, to sleep. Myotismon grabs Gatomon by her collar and follows DemiDevimon out of the convention center to the location of the 9th child, unknowns to him, he doesn't see Tai and Agumon down below. "Myotismon." said Tai.
"Where could he be going?" asked Agumon. Back inside, Mimi was asleep on the floor with the other kids when suddenly her crest of Sincerity glows, causing her to wake up. Tai and Agumon ran through the halls of the convention center, but are cut off by a bunch of Bakemon.
"Agumon digivolve to….Greymon!" shouted Greymon as he stands in front of Tai, ready to fight the Bakemon. "Nova Blast!"
"They didn't stand a ghost of a chance." said Tai as Greymon sends a fire ball at the Bakemon, blasting them into data.
"Tai, you made it inside." said Mimi, running over to him.
"Mimi, where are the others?" asked Tai.
"They're all fast asleep." said Mimi. "Myotismon put them under some kind of spell since he found the 9th child."
"Oh, no! Then that must mean he's got Kari." said Tai.
"Huh? Kari?" asked Mimi.
"Let's go." said Tai. Meanwhile at the TV Station, Izzy, Tentomon and Hiroaki were in an office room.
"Hey look, there's Matt, Sora and Keiko." said Izzy, looking out the window.
"What? Matt?" asked Hiroaki in shock. "Whats he doing here?"
Just then, Garurumon and Garudamon were coming towards the TV Station. "Ah, monsters!" Hiroaki shouted in fear.
"Actually, sir, the technical name is Digimon. You see, they're not like the pretend monsters you've seen in those old movies destroying old Japanese cities." Izzy explained. "Hey, well, maybe that's a bad example but anyway, the digimon Matt is riding are definitely on our side."
"What do you mean our side?" Hiroaki asked.
"Well you see, there are good digimon and bad digimon. The good digimon are our friends. Just like Tentomon here." said Izzy.
"I'm more than good, I'm exceptional." said Tentomon.
"I wouldn't dare doubt you." said Hiroaki. Meanwhile, Joe and T.K. were still making their way through the fog towards the others. "But Joe, why does Wizardmon have a tag and a crest?" asked T.K.
"He said it belong to the 9th digidestined child; do you think it could be true?" asked Joe.
Just then, both boys started hearing Wizardmon come around. "Are you awake?" asked T.K.
"Who are you?" asked Wizardmon soon as he sees Joe and T.K. in front of him.
"I'm T.K., nice to meet you." said T.K.
"Kari." said Wizardmon.
"Huh?" asked Joe and T.K.
"Kari! Where's Kari?" asked Wizardmon.
"Kari?" asked T.K.
"Who's Kari?" asked Joe.
"You've gotta give this crest to Kari." said Wizardmon, holding out the crest of Light to them.
"You mean you want us to give that to Tai's other little sister and Keiko's twin, Kari?" asked Joe.
"Huh?" asked T.K. and Patamon.
"But if we have to deliver the crest to Tai's other little sister and Keiko's twin, Kari, then that must mean….she's the 9th digidestined child we've been looking for all along!" shouted Joe.
"Gee, I'm always the last one to find out." said T.K., shocked as he hears this.
"We have no time to waste." said Wizardmon. "Kari and Gatomon need this crest."
"Gatomon?" asked Joe.
"But she's one of the bad Digimon that works for Myotismon." said T.K.
"Are you saying that Gatomon is one of the good guys?" asked Joe.
"Exactly." said Wizardmon, causing Joe and T.K. to look at each other in shock. Outside of the TV Station.
"Matt! Sora! Keiko!" said Izzy. "Hey you guys! Hey!"
"Izzy, what are you doing here?" asked Sora.
"Matt!" Hiroaki said in anger as Matt walked up to his dad.
"Dad?" asked Matt.
"I told you to stay out of sight." he said to his oldest son.
"I'm sorry, dad." said Matt and Garurumon walks up behind him, shocking Hiroaki.
"Hello, Matt's dad. Good to see you again." said Garurumon.
"What do you mean, again? Who are you? Have we met?" asked Hiroaki.
"You know me. I digivolved from Gabumon." said Garurumon.
"Gabumon? That's you?" asked Hiroaki.
"Hey!" someone called out, causing everyone to turn around to see Joe and T.K. running up with Wizardmon.
"Joe! T.K.!" said Sora.
"Hey, Matt!" T.K. called out happily, then sees who his brother was standing next to. "Daddy!"
"T.K.!" said Matt.
"All right, you guys made it." said Keiko and Renamon.
"T.K.?" Hiroaki asked softly as T.K. hugs his father around the waist and starts crying.
"Dad!" cried T.K.
"What are you doing here?" Hiroaki asked his youngest son.
"When I saw all that stuff on television, I couldn't stay home anymore. Mom wanted to come too, but we couldn't bring her." said T.K.
"It's okay, son." said Hiroaki.
"I've missed you, daddy." said T.K. The other digidestined watched as Wizardmon walked over to Lillymon.
"It's Wizardmon." said Izzy.
"What are you doing here?" asked Matt.
"Hmm. She was attacked by Myotismon, wasn't she?" Wizardmon asked.
"So what if she was?" asked Sora, defensively. Wizardmon started moving his hands in different motions, then held his palms towards the fairy. A soft green light covers her and returns her color back to normal as she wakes up.
"Cool." said Keiko and Renamon.
"Oh. Lillymon." gasped Sora.
"Whats this? Wizardmon?" asked Lillymon as she flew up to her feet, ready to fight when Keiko and T.K. ran over to Wizardmon, with their arms out, protecting him.
"Stop, don't attack him!" said T.K. "Wizardmon's a good Digimon. He's got the tag and crest."
"Wizardmon!" said Keiko as she hugged him.
"Wizardmon, are you okay?" asked Renamon.
"You're not hurt, are you?" asked Keiko.
"I'm fine. Thank you for asking." said Wizardmon, smiling at the two of them.
"Felicity, you know him?" asked Sora.
"Yeah. He knows about Kari and her digimon partner." said Keiko.
"T.K., he could be lying and could've hurt the two of you, Keiko." said Izzy.
"No, Izzy, it's all true. Just look." said Joe as Wizardmon reveals the crest of Light to the others.
"So this is the real crest of Light?" asked Izzy.
"Yes. This tag and crest belongs to Kari. We've got to help Gatomon." said Wizardmon. "She was captured by Myotismon."
"Gatomon?" asked Sora.
"Yeah. Wizardmon said that Gatomon belongs with Kari." said T.K. and Keiko nodded.
"It's true. Gatomon is Kari's digimon partner." said Keiko. "Gennai told me."
"What?" asked the older kids.
"Now, where is Kari?" Wizardmon asked and Matt clenched his fists. "Well?"
"He's got her." said Matt.
"I'm worried about her, Wizardmon." said Keiko. "What will he do to her and Gatomon?"
"Gennai sent me an email a little while ago. If I recall correctly, he said the TV Station is the center of Myotismon's fog barrier." said Izzy. Suddenly, the sound of bats was heard above them and a swarm of bats had shown with DemiDevimon leading them as Myotismon carried Gatomon in his hand and a smug look on his face.
"Hey, look!" said Izzy.
"It's Myotismon." said Matt.
"We need to get Kari and fast too." said Renamon.
"If he does something to her and Gatomon, I don't know what I'll do." said Keiko.
"He's got Gatomon….but not for long." said Wizardmon as Myotismon smirks at him.
"Come on, lets head for the viewing platform." said Matt.
"Right, I'll show you the way." said Hiroaki but before they could move, Snimon and Tuskmon appeared. Snimon tries to attack Sora with his sickle like blade but she manages to dodge it within seconds.
Matt was then surrounded by blue light as his digivice turns blue and his crest shoots out of the tag. "Garurumon digivolve to….WereGarurumon!" shouted WereGarurumon as he attacks both green Digimon.
"Leave this battle to us." said Garudamon.
"We handle these Digi-clowns." said Zudomon.
"We'll get Kari. Come on, everyone. Let's go." said Matt as they all ran inside, leaving the three Ultimate level digimon outside to deal with Snimon and Tuskmon.
Wizardmon groaned as he fell to his knees, making some of the digidestined stop. "Hey, Wizardmon, are you all right?" asked T.K.
"You don't look so good." said Keiko, concerned about the sorcerer digimon.
"Hey, let me give you a hand. Here." said Hiroaki, helping him up.
"I'll help you." said Renamon, getting on the other side of Wizardmon.
Meanwhile on the viewing platform of the TV Station, a bunch of bats formed a black portal that Myotismon, Gatomon and DemiDevimon steps through. Gatomon looked up sadly at Kari as she stood behind Phantomon. "I've got you my pretty and your little cat, too." said Myotismon, still holding Gatomon in his hand.
Outside, Greymon, Tai and Mimi had just arrived at the TV Station to see the three Ultimate digimon fighting against Myotismon's goons. "Whats that?" asked Mimi.
"Greymon, hurry. They need your help." said Tai.
"You got it." said Greymon.
Back inside the TV Station, in the view platform. "Little girl, why have you chosen to show yourself to me?" Myotismon asked Kari. "Do you have any idea what's about to happen to you?"
"I've got a guess." replied Kari.
"Then why?" he asked.
"Because you were hurting all those people." said Kari.
"Huh?" asked Myotismon and Gatomon.
"Someone had to stop you from hurting innocent people." Kari tell him.
"My, what a thoughtful little girl you are." said Myotismon, smugly before turning to Gatomon. "Gatomon, why won't you look at the 9th child's face?"
"Because she's not the 9th child. Who is she? I've never seen her before in my life." said Gatomon, trying to protect Kari.
"Huh?" said Kari, unsure what Gatomon was doing.
"Is that right?" asked Myotismon and snaps his fingers. A second later, Gatomon hears Kari cry out in pain.
"Kari!" shouted Gatomon, looking up to see DemiDevimon pull Kari's hair.
"Oww! My hair! Oww!" cried Kari as DemiDevimon pulled hard with his feet.
"Kari? Interesting that you know her name since you've never met her before." said Myotismon as Gatomon hung her head in defeat.
Meanwhile the rest of the digidestined, minus Tai and Mimi, were still making their way to the viewing platform. "Hurry, it's up there." said Hiroaki as they stood in front of a staircase.
"Got it, Dad. Wait here." said Matt as they ran up the stairs.
"Thanks for the help." said Wizardmon.
"Are you sure you're all right?" Hiroaki asked the digimon.
"Yeah. Digimon heal fast." said Wizardmon, running after the kids. Myotismon releases Gatomon from his grip and she runs over to Kari.
"Kari." said Gatomon, standing protectively in front of her.
"Together again, too bad it'll be short lived. Grizzly Wing!" shouted Myotismon.
"Tentomon digivolve to….Kabuterimon!"
Hearing the digivolution, Myotismon halts his attack and looks over to see the six digidestined along with Lillymon and Wizardmon. "Electro Shocker! Flower Cannon!" shouted Kabuterimon and Lillymon as they send their attacks at Myotismon, who just blew the attacks upwards at the ceiling.
"It's getting a little noisy in here. Let's find some place quieter." said Myotismon as he levitates himself, Gatomon and Kari up to the roof with Phantomon and DemiDevimon close behind.
"No!" screamed Keiko.
"Not so fast. WereGarurumon!" Matt shouted through the shattered windows to his digimon. WereGarurumon climbed up the side of the building to get to the roof, then jumped in front of the vampire, making him laugh.
"I'm really getting sick of that laugh." said Sora.
"His laugh is too much for someone like me." said Keiko.
"Let's get moving." said Garudamon as she carries Zudomon. Izzy then becomes surrounded by purple light as his digivice becomes solid purple and the crest of Knowledge shoots out of his tag.
"Kabuterimon digivolve to…..MegaKabuterimon!"
"We need you! Get Kari! MegaKabuterimon! Go!" shouted Izzy.
"Horn Buster!" shouted MegaKabuterimon as he charges at Myotismon, who then moves his hand, causing him to ram into WereGarurumon, knocking him off the roof and holds onto the side.
"Crimson Lightning!" shouted Myotismon as he uses his attack on WereGarurumon's hands, making him fall from the building screaming.
"WereGarurumon!" shouted Matt.
"Oh, that's got to hurt." said Myotismon. He then gasps out in pain and stumbles forward from a surprised attack. "What?"
"Kari, here! Catch!" shouted Wizardmon as he tosses the tag and crest and she catches it.
"It's Wizardmon!" said Gatomon, smiling.
"So, you're still alive?" asked Myotismon, standing up.
"That's right. It'll take more than the likes of you to destroy me." said Wizardmon.
"We will see." said Myotismon, sending out an orb at Wizardmon, sending him back.
"No, Wizardmon!" cried Gatomon as Kari, Keiko and Renamon gasped.
"Now give that to me, little brat!" ordered Myotismon, stepping up to Kari.
"No!" said Kari, holding her crest tightly as she steps back with a determined look on her face.
"That wasn't a request." said Myotismon.
"Wait!" someone cried out behind him.
"Huh?" said Myotismon. Kari smiles as she and Keiko looked over at the side of the building to see Tai and Mimi riding Greymon.
"Mimi!" shouted Lillymon as Mimi appears with the others.
"Lillymon, can you get me to Kari?" Keiko asked as she nodded, picking her and Renamon up.
"You just picked on the wrong guy's little sister, Mr. Fang face." said Tai.
"Don't forget, she has me too, Myotismon!" shouted Keiko as Lillymon drops her in front of her twin.
"What is this? Some kind of trick?" asked Myotismon.
"No, you just didn't realized that she and I are identical twins!" said Keiko, glaring at Myotismon.
"Kari, here! Catch!" shouted Tai, through Kari her digivice. Kari ran over, catches it the digivice, smiling as she had it in her hands, but then DemiDevimon swoops down and takes it from her.
"Hey!" shouted Kari and Keiko.
"I got the digivice! You can thank me later after you take over the world, boss." said DemiDevimon.
"That's nice work. Go get them, Phantomon." ordered Myotismon. Tai was then surrounded by orange light and the crest of Courage shoots out of his tag.
"Greymon digivolve to….MetalGreymon!"
"Time out!" said Phantomon, backing away from him.
"Go get him, MetalGreymon!" shouted Tai.
"Giga Blaster!" bellowed MetalGreymon, firing off his attack at Myotismon, who then held up his hands and stops the rockets, turning them into data particles.
"But how?" asked Tai, shocked by this.
"Horn Buster! Vulcan's Hammer! Wing Blade! Flower Cannon!" shouted the four ultimate level Digimon, firing off their attacks and yet again, Myotismon stops the attacks from touching him.
"He's strong. Too strong." said Matt. T.K., Patamon, Keiko and Renamon nodded at each other, knowing what they needed to do.
"Are you done? I'm bored. It's time to finish you off." said Myotismon as he turns to Kari and Gatomon as they stood their ground. "Nightmare….."
"Patamon digivolve to….Angemon!"
"Renamon digivolve to….Kyubimon!"
"Now what?" asked Myotismon as he sees a bewitching beast and an angel making him cringe.
"Hand of Fate! Fox Tail Inferno!" shouted Angemon and Kyubimon, firing their attacks at Myotismon, making him fall to his knees and shudder as Phantomon bursts into data. "Have you had enough or do you want some more?"
"We preferred that you surrender immediately and go back to the Digital world, Myotismon." said Kyubimon.
"Actually, I was about to ask you the same questions." said Myotismon. "Grizzly Wing!"
He then sends his bats towards Kari and Gatomon, making everyone gasp in horror.
"Kari!" shouted Tai and Keiko when suddenly Wizardmon steps in front of the young girl and her Digimon, taking the attack upon himself.
Time seemed to slow down for everyone as Wizardmon falls down to the ground, gasping in pain. "Next time, don't get in my way." said Myotismon.
"Oh, no!" said Gatomon as she, Kari, Keiko and Kyubimon went over to him.
"Wizardmon. You're gonna be alright." said Kari.
"Please be alright." said Keiko.
"Don't leave us." said Kyubimon.
"Please don't leave. Wizardmon." said Kari.
"Are you alright, Gatomon?" Wizardmon weakly asked, seeing Gatomon at his side.
"You saved me. I'm sorry." Gatomon cried.
"About what?" asked Wizardmon.
"Sorry I got you involved in this." she tells him.
"Don't be sorry. I don't have any regrets." said Wizardmon. "If I hadn't met you, my life would have no meaning. I'm glad that you and I were friends."
"Best forever." said Gatomon.
"Thank you for everything, Gatomon." said Wizardmon, then looks over at Kyubimon. "Protect her at all costs."
"I promise." said Kyubimon, tears running down her face as Wizardmon passes out.
"Wizardmon, are you okay? Please answer." begged Kari. Just then, Kari's digivice starts glowing in DemiDevimon's clawed foot, making him cry out in pain. "Look, its Kari's digivice." said Tai.
"I can't hold on." said DemiDevimon as he lets go of the Digivice and falls back. Tai jumps up and catches the digivice, then turns towards his twin sisters.
"Kari, here!" shouted Tai, throwing it at her. Kari catches the digivice with a stern expression.
"No, not her!" gasped Myotismon. Kari was then surrounded in pink light, causing her digivice to turn pink and the crest of Light shoots out of her crest.
"Gatomon digivolve to…" shouted Gatomon as she was surrounded by light and grew to Angemon's height. She loses her tail and grows long blonde hair. Her paws then turned into human hands and feet. A helmet covered her eyes and eight large wings appeared from her back. "Angewomon!"
"Gatomon is an….angel?" asked Kari, stunned as she looks up.
"See, Kari? I've always told you that you have someone looking out for you." said Keiko, smiling at her twin who returned the smile.
"You're right, Keiko! You've always said there's a guardian angel watching over me." said Kari.
"Myotismon, you tried to destroy the digidestined in an attempt to conquer earth." said Angewomon. "In doing so, you have ruined the lives of Digimon and humans alike. How can you justify yourself?"
"I don't have to explain myself to you." said Myotismon.
"Is that all you have to say for yourself?" asked Kyubimon.
"No. It is my destiny to plunge this world into darkness and become the King of the digital world. And no angel or digimon alike has the power to stop me." said Myotismon.
"Myotismon, do you have any regrets for the things you have done?" asked Angemon as the two angels stood in the air while the bewitching beast stood her ground.
"Nightmare….." said Myotismon, getting ready to attack, but Angewomon started hers first.
"Heaven's Charm!" shouted Angewomon, raising her hands over her head, as a golden halo appeared over her and a rainbow light fell over all of the good digimon, freezing Myotismon in shock.
"My power, its…..it's growing." said MetalGreymon as WereGarurumon climbed back up the side of the building, growling.
"Now!" shouted WereGarurumon.
"Everyone, give your power to Angewomon." said Garudamon.
"Horn Buster! Flower Cannon! Vulcan's Hammer! Wolf Claw! Wing Blade! Giga Blaster! Hand of Fate! Fox Tail Inferno!" shouted the digimon, aiming their attacks towards the halo above Angewomon. The halo then turns into what seemed to be a large green orb, cackling with power.
"Celestial Arrow!" shouted Angewomon, extending her winged gloved hand, the wings extending into a bow.
The orb flows down into her right hand, turning into an arrow. Angewomon aims the arrow at Myotismon, who then cries out not to hit him. She releases the arrow from the bow, striking Myotismon in the heart. He was then shadowed in darkness as sparks crackled around him in black and white, destroying him, only leaving the mask in his wake.
"Myotismon is gone." gasped Kari and Keiko.
"All right, Kari." said Tai as he and the others cheered. Just then, the building shook around them, causing all nine kids to stumble. "Let's get out of here before we're crushed." said Sora.
They were then picked up by their partners, and jumped off the building before it fell so they wouldn't get hurt. The ball shaped part of the building fell off, causing the building surrounding it came crashing down. "You guys are the bomb." said Tai as they held their digimon. "I can't believe we finally destroyed Myotismon."
T.K, Kari and Keiko were off to the side as they looked up at the sky, all three of them getting a bad feeling from the darkening clouds. Patamon, Renamon and Gatomon were looking up in the air as well.
"That wasn't so tough after all. Great." said Joe as he held Bukamon.
"Yeah." said Mimi as she held Tanemon.
"Hopefully now the real world will return to normal." said Matt with Gabumon by his side.
"Hey, you three. Whats wrong?" Sora asked the three younger ones as she held Yokomon.
"Look up there." said T.K. as Keiko points to the sky.
"What is it?" asked Matt.
"The fog. It's getting thicker." said Kari and Keiko.
"Impossible." said Tai as everyone looked up to see where they were.
"But Myotismon is gone." said Kari.
"Yeah." said Keiko.
"Maybe not. Maybe he's still out there somewhere." said Joe. "What if we just made him stronger?"
"How?" asked Keiko as Joe shrugged his shoulders.
