This was part of the celebration that Thor was not looking forward to. He wanted to consummate the marriage that night, but Zeus was firm that they would follow the ancient ways or there would be no wedding; Thor agreed. So the couple left the dining hall and went upstairs to their respective suites. They stopped in front of Alina's room and Thor kissed his bride goodnight. She kissed him back and Thor went to his suite. The good thing was that the celebration began early, and only lasted until the afternoon.
Thor closed the door to his suite, went to the bathroom, and got ready for bed. He came out and looked at his bed and sighed. It would have been wonderful to have Alina in his bed, but Thor knew that no matter how much he wanted his wife in his bed, he knew that Alina would never disobey her father.
Thor sighed again and climbed into his empty bed. The only thing Thor could do was imagine his honeymoon night and relieve himself with his hand. Jerking off helped ease his tension but Thor was still looking forward to having his bride under him. Thor finally fell asleep with his last thought being about his upcoming honeymoon.
The next morning, Alina woke up early and changed for the day. Once she was ready, there was a knock on her down; when she answered it, she found Thor on the other side with a wide smile on his face, "Are you ready, my love?"
Alina smiled at her husband and took his offered hand. The newlyweds intertwined their fingers and went downstairs to have breakfast with their family and guests. They arrived shortly after everyone was seated. They sat down on the large dais between Alina's father and her Uncle Poseidon.
Once everyone was settled, Zeus clapped his hands, and breakfast was served. The wedding party and their guest were served a hardy breakfast of a wide variety of bread, pastries, and Greek yogurt. These foods are high in nutritional value and a great source of energy; as the couple would need them for the day's celebration.
After breakfast was served and eaten, the gifts were presented to the newlyweds. They ranched from household items for their new home to jewels from Alina's family. When Aphrodite presented her gift to Alina, she whispered that it should be opened in private, knowing how shy her sister was, and it probably would enrage Zeus. As it was, Zeus still struggled with the knowledge his little princess was married.
Once the gift-giving was completed, the dancing began. It was all traditional Greek music and some ancient tunes. Zeus took his daughter's hand, taking her to the dancefloor, they had their father-daughter dance. As they danced, Zeus looked at his daughter, "Are you happy, my child?"
Alina beamed at her father, "Oh, yes, Papa. Thor makes me happier than I have ever been."
Zeus kissed the top of Alina's head and leaned his cheek on her head, "Good, though I must warn you, if the Asgardian causes you a moment of pain or sadness, he will have to deal with my wrath and that of your uncles."
"I know, Papa, and you have nothing to worry about."
"Of course, I worry, you are my most cherished daughter and your happiness means more to me than anything."
Alina looked up at her blonde father as he smiled down at her, "I love you, Papa."
"And I love you, my sweet girl," Zeus answered.
They danced for a while long until Thor asked if he could dance with his bride. Zeus reluctantly passed his daughter to Thor and stepped away. Athena took Alina's place to dance with her father. She knew it was hard on him so she tried to ease his pain.
Thor took Alina lovingly into his arms and twirled her around, making the young bride giggle. He set her down and continued to dance with her. They talked for a while until Aphrodite announced that it was time for everyone to join the dancing.
The exuberant dancing continued until noon when everyone gladly took their seats to have lunch. After lunch, the wedding couple danced more, this time switching between partners. Alina laughed as she was spun from one man's arms into another. She danced with her uncles and brothers, Logan, Tony, Bruce, and the other Avengers, and finally back to Thor.
Thor did the same, dancing with many of the goddesses and other female guests. He was having a good time until Jane was spun into his arms. She beamed at him and he frowned, "I thought you left after the ceremony yesterday?" Thor commented.
Jane looked up at Thor with hopeful eyes. Thor wanted to roll his eyes at Jane's desperate attempt to get his attention, but he could not be rude. Jane leaned her head against Thor's chest; he stiffened at the affection Jane was trying to express to him. She reached up and tried to kiss him but he turned away, "Jane, what are you doing? I am a married man and I love my wife."
"I know you still love me. You only married Alina so that you could have a queen and not be lonely. But I'm here now and we can build a life together. You still have time to annul your marriage and I'm willing to tolerate becoming your queen."
Thor frowned at Jane and took her hand, leading her off the dancefloor. This action did not go unnoticed by Alina's eldest brother, Ares, who was dancing with his sister. His eyes narrowed and he let go of Alina to find out what was going on. Alina frowned at her brother, "Why did you stop dancing, Brother?"
"I saw Thor lead that pathetic human woman out of the hall. I will not have you shamed by him or anyone else." Ares commented with burning hatred in his eyes.
Alina followed Ares's gaze, she was startled at first and felt a little betrayed until she noticed the stern look on Thor's face and how he pulled Jane along, none too gently. She sighed in relief, "Do not worry, Brother, Thor is angry and I'm sure he plans to put that Foster woman in her place."
Ares looked down at his sister, who had a confident look on her face. He sighed, "Fine, but if anything improper happens between them, Sister will tell me and I will 'talk' to him," Ares said with a feral grin. "Better me than Father."
Alina couldn't have agreed more, though she was not worried. She knew Thor loved her. Ares wasn't the only one who noticed Thor leave with Jane, Logan, and Natasha noticed as well while they danced. They looked at each other and silently communicated. They stopped dancing and discreetly followed Thor and Jane.
They found Thor in a small corridor with Jane. He held her at arm's length and studied the desperate woman in front of him. Thor shook his head and began talking to Jane, but they talked in hushed tones that Natasha couldn't hear so Logan told her what was happening.
Jane cupped Thor's face but he lowered her hand, "Thor, I miss you and I want you back. I realized the mistake I made and I want to correct it."
Thor shook his head, "There is nothing to correct, Jane. You and I were never meant to be together. You are not the right person for me. Our relationship was doomed from the start. I know I had a large part in making you believe I loved you, and I'm sorry. But that's over with and I am with the woman I was always meant to be with and you need to understand that. There is nothing you can say or do that will change my mind. Goodbye, Jane."
Jane, desperate to keep Thor with her, blurted out the first thing that came to her, "I'M PREGNANT!" she yelled.
Thor stopped in his tracks, he turned at stared at her, "Then I wish you the best of luck, for I know that child is not mine. I was gone for a year and have not lain with you since I came back. Do not try to trap me with your lies," Thor huffed, "Have some dignity, and leave this celebration," Thor said then he saw Logan and Natasha step into the hallway.
"This conversation is over. If you do not leave, I know two people that will gladly escort you out."
Thor stepped aside and Jane's eyes widened when she saw The Wolverine and Black Widow standing at the end of the hall with evil smirks on their faces. Jane tried to hide behind Thor. She grabbed his arm at the last minute, "You wouldn't let them hurt me, would you?"
Thor yanked his arm out of Jane's grip, "If that's what it takes, then yes, I will. For the last time, goodbye, Jane." With that Thor walked away and left a terrified Jane to face The Wolverine and Black Widow alone.
Thor never looked back, anxious to return to the celebration and his bride. They had one last dance then Tony announced that his wedding present to the couple was a trip to Greece for as long as they wanted. Everyone cheered and Thor thanked him from the bottom of his heart. Thor couldn't wait to see Greece. Alina talked endlessly about her home away from home and he was intrigued.
Once Tony made the announcement, Bruce brought the suitcases down and had them stored in the trunk of the car. After that, the couple said their goodbyes and left for their honeymoon in Tony's private Jet. Thor was so excited to reach their destination. He could not have this marriage consummated, but he also kept in mind that it would be Alina's first time and he planned to make it memorable for her.
