Anyways, onto the reviews.
skylorbaker14 chapter 23 . 21h ago
Really been enjoying this story, i have been wondering a few things. The first was wondering if she'll get as strong as steven in phisical strength? Steven gets rediculously physically strong over the show. The secound was wondering is she will ever fuse with another gem, human, magical, or any other type of being you add to the story. Third was wondering why Lilly hadn't tried reporting her husband to the right authorities for child abuse anytime he got physical. My forth and final question was if you'd do any fun or just funny crossover with this story and one of your others.
Ps sorry if my spelling is still terrible as I still can't see what I'm typing
Pps can you give her a puppy, puppies are adorable and everyone who can take care of one should get one
Me: Yes, she'll get pretty strong. Maybe one day she'll fuse with someone, but for now she's okay just being herself. Keep in mind, the wizarding world is set in the older times where if woman were ordered to do something, they were expected to do it. I also suspect that there was magic involved to keep her from telling people. No, I don't think I'll do any crossovers of my stories.
Your spelling is fine, honestly, you should have seen mine years ago. I was awful. Also, sorry but probably no to the puppies. One, they're not on the approved list of pets and two, Ember seems more like a cat person.
Onto the story
Finally, after a week of waiting it was finally time to go home. Ember wasn't taking the train home though, it said in the rules that if a child's parent or guardian came and picked them up then they did not have to ride the train back to London.
She made sure to tell Professor Flitwick ahead of time, this way she could not get in trouble. She alerted her head of house to her leaving with her Guardian, the only thing the rules said she had to do. She only had to alert her head of house, the rules said nothing about notifying the Deputy Headmistress or the Headmaster, and that was something the student's Head of house was in charge of.
Turning to her two friends she smiled at them. She never thought that she would ever have friends like this before. Ember knew that one day she would be going to Hogwarts and being around students her own age but she never really expected to make close friends. She expected to be friendly with people but keep them at arm's length, she was surprised when she became friends with Daphne and Tracy right away.
She told her friends goodbye before going to Professor Flitwick's office, she knocked before walking in when told to.
The tiny professor was looking at her curiously. "Miss. Ravenclaw may I have a moment?"
Ember didn't have anything important she had to do today so she sat down in one of the chairs in front of her Professor's desk. "Yes sir? Have I done something wrong?"
Professor Flitwick shook his head, "Not at all Miss. Ravenclaw, I just wanted to ask you something before you leave, that's all."
Well, Ember could understand curiosity. After all, if it wasn't for her curiosity to see if that recipe for creating Gem people worked, she never would have made Pearl and then later on Jasper. She might have made them later on, but she was glad she made them when she did. It kept her from getting too lonely and gave her a family other than her house elves.
Nodding she gestured for the Professor to ask what he wanted.
"I was curious, why did you wish to take the floo instead of the train?"
She should have expected this question, it honestly makes sense to ask something like this. "Well, sir, There's no place to hide on the train."
Here the tiny Professor looked confused, "Hide? Why would you need to hide?"
"Sir, Damien Potter, and Ronald Weasley keep trying to corner me and convince me to date Ronald. I'm scared of what they might do if they do manage to corner me." Ember spoke honestly.
"I had no idea they were trying to force you to date, Mr. Weasley," Flitwick said, shocked before his face turned stern. "I will have a word with Minerva about her lions, you can use my floo to leave now."
Ember stood up and walked to the floo, "Thank you, sir." She smiled at him before using the floo to leave.
As soon as she stepped out of the Floo she was picked up and spun around by Jasper making Ember laugh. "Jasper, put me down I'm going to be dizzy!"
After a few more seconds of spinning, Jasper carefully set the disorientated Diamond down on the couch.
Pearl walked up and gently slapped Jasper's arm, "You need to be more careful Jasper."
Jasper started rubbing the back of her head sheepishly, "Sorry, My diamond, I was excited to have you home."
Ember, by this point, was no longer feeling dizzy and smiled at Jasper. "It's fine Jasper, I'm excited to be home too."
"So, tell us about your friends, Daphne and Tracy right? How have they been treating you?" Pearl spoke as she sat next to Ember.
Ember lit up and spent the next few hours telling her family everything that's happened to her during the school year. Sure, she told them all of this in letters, but it was amazing to tell them in person. Not to mention, she could add more details here and there when she saw they didn't understand something.
There were also a few details she hadn't shared in her letters. Like the fact that Ronald and Damien kept trying to corner her, or the fact she found a three-headed dog in the school. She wanted to tell those to her two Gems in person. This way, she could keep them from running off and killing someone.
"Those punks keep trying to corner you? Why didn't you say anything in your letters?" Jasper spoke up, she looked furious that anyone would dare try and hurt or control her Diamond. Diamonds were meant to be the rulers, not the ones being ruled in her mind.
"Because I knew that if I told you in a letter you would do something rash, telling you in person was the logical thing to do." Ember shrugged and then looked at Pearl who was looking worried.
"Pearl are you alright?"
Hearing her Diamond's voice snapped her out of her thoughts, "Oh yes, I'm fine my Diamond, just concerned. You said there was a three-headed-dog in your school?"
Ember nodded, she knew that Pearl would find that bit concerning. "I didn't go near it other than I found it, I'm planning to talk to Madam Bones about it during vacation."
"Good, I can't understand what that Headmaster of yours was thinking." Pearl shook her head in disbelief, how was this man in charge of children when he let dangerous animals in the school? First, the troll, now a three-headed dog, what was next, a dragon?
"I think he's gone barmy, to be honest," Jasper spoke as she left the room.
"Jasper!" Pearl jumped up and ran after her, leaving Ember giggling at their antics.
It was good to be home.
~~Time Skip~~
The next day Pearl took Ember to speak to Madam Bones. She explained what was going on and gave Madam Bones her memories of the events that happened.
Madam Bones promised she would take care of it and told Ember to contact her if Damien and Ronald kept trying to stalk her. When asked what she would do, Madam Bones replied that she could get a magical restraining order.
Ember explained that she did have a few classes with them, to which Madam Bones replied that the restraining order could allow the classes to happen, as long as they were still kept several feet away.
Ember liked that idea so agreed to send a letter to her if they kept it up after school started back up.
After that meeting she had Pearl take her to Gringotts, she asked if the Goblins could send a letter to Lily Potter asking if she could come to the bank today.
She also asked if they had any truth potions available, luckily they did. The Goblin nation normally used them when they caught someone trying to steal from them, they found out what the thief was trying to steal.
It only took half an hour for Lily Potter to be escorted to Grinlast's office, the way her eyes widened when seeing her daughter was amusing to them.
"Ember? What's going on?" Lily asked her daughter, heart pounding in her chest.
"I have an option for you Mrs. Potter, you can take this veritaserum and answer a few questions I have or you can turn around right now and leave, destroying the only chance you will ever have to explain yourself to the daughter you neglected." Ember spoke in a cold voice, the sight of those dull hazel eyes lighting up in hope made Ember feel a bit of hope as well.
"I'll take the potion." Lily said as she quickly sat down in a chair. She allowed one of the Goblins to put three drops of potion on her tongue and willingly swallowed it.
It took a minute but soon her eyes glazed over and her body relaxed, both were telltale signs that the potion was working.
"Okay, it seems to be working, I'll ask a few questions first." Ember turned to Lily.
"What is your full name?"
"Lily Marie Potter" Her voice was monotone, exactly as it should be when under the potion.
"When were you born?"
"January thirtieth, Nineteen sixty"
"What house were you in when at Hogwarts?"
"Gryffindor."
Ember looked at Grinlast, "It seems to be working, I'll ask the questions I need answers to now."
Turning back to Lily, Ember spoke a question that had been burning inside her for most of her life.
"Do you love me?" She held her breath, waiting for the answer.
"Yes."
Just that one word made Ember tear up, and she quickly wiped them away. She should cry later, right now there are more questions to ask.
"Why did you neglect me?"
"To protect you."
Ember was confused, "Why would you neglect me to protect me?"
Lily spoke again with the monotone voice but everyone could see from the way her fingers twitched that this was something that bothered her.
"James would hurt you whenever I was kind, whether it was by screaming or actually beating you. I had to ignore and neglect you to keep you safe from his wrath."
Ember was shocked, why didn't she remember this? Did her mind lock away those memories? Sure, she remembered being hurt by James once or twice, but not that often. Was her mind trying to protect her?
"Why would he do that?" Ember needed to know.
"Because he believed that you were using magic to make me be kind to you."
That was so stupid but Ember could focus on her birth father's stupidity at a later date.
"Why did you give me a power suppression potion?" Ember needed to know this answer if she were to ever let her mother back in her life.
"Before Halloween, you used to do a lot of accidental magic, Damien, not so much. After Halloween, James and Dumbledore started discussing transferring all your magic to your brother. They believed it would make him even stronger."
"To prevent this I used the potion on you and said that the attack must have damaged your magic, maybe made it unstable, and that it would be risky to transfer it to Damien."
Ember was shocked. She couldn't believe what she had just heard, the potion had been to protect her?
"How could I still do magic with the potion then?"
"The potion was made to stop accidental magic, willful magic was still allowed."
That actually made sense. She never had accidental magic but she had used magic several times. She remembered the day she turned into a Gem was the day she finally managed wandless magic.
"Why would you try so hard to protect me?"
"I'm your mother, I love you."
Ember was thoughtful, she went to ask another question when Pearl spoke up and asked one of her own.
"What else have you done to protect or care for your daughter?"
"I've managed to convince James to let her have her own clothes by saying if she didn't it could look bad on us. I distracted Damien and James when they went to bother her. I've kept the fact that Ember was the one to actually defeat Voldemort a secret to protect her from Dumbledore. I've also kept the fact that Ember is most likely Lady Peverell a secret as well."
Ember was shocked, her mom knew she was the one to defeat Voldemort? She knew that Ember was Lady Peverell? How?
"How do you know I was the one to beat Voldemort?" Ember asked, she needed to know.
"You're scar when you first got it had Dark Magic coming off it while Damiens had none. It was easy to figure it out."
Ember was slightly annoyed, why the hell did Dumbledore say it was Damien if it was so easy to tell who it actually was then?
She didn't realize she had spoken out loud until Lily answered him.
"He didn't bother to check for magical residue. He's also secretly sexist and believes that the boy would be the one Voldemort would go to kill first."
Well, that made a lot of sense. Two questions left to go.
"How did you know I was Lady Peverell?"
"Lady Peverell arrived right after you went missing, she is also never seen so no one knows her true age. Lady Peverell also disowned us, something I could easily see you doing for how we treated you."
Now for one of the most important questions.
"If you could divorce James Potter, would you?"
"Yes, as long as I got custody of Damien, or at least half custody."
Ember nodded at the Goblins to give Lily the antidote before jumping on her mother with a sob.
For the first time since that Halloween, she was being hugged by her mother. Her mom was comforting her, wiping her tears away and smoothing her hair down.
It made her cry even more at the fact that this was real, she had her mom back.
It took a few minutes but soon enough she stopped crying and reluctantly let her mom go.
"I just have a few things left to say." Lily looked curious, wiping away her own tears.
"I, Lady Ember Viola Potter Peverell Ravenclaw Emrys, do hereby welcome back Lily Marie Potter, [nee evans] into the Ravenclaw family."
Lily gasped before she started transforming back into what she looked like before she was disowned. Her dull stringy orange hair turned back into its healthy vibrant fiery red hair.
Her dull hazel eyes turned back into their stunning emerald eyes, once again sharing the eye color with her daughter. Her skin took on a healthier complexion and she gained back some height and her curvy figure again.
Ember smiled when seeing her mom's shock, well she was about to be even more shocked.
"I, Lady Ember Viola Potter Peverell Ravenclaw Emrys, do hereby disband the marriage of Lily Marie Potter and James Charlus Potter, Lily Marie Potter is hereby known as Lily Marie Ravenclaw. From now on she and James Potter shall share custody of their son split fifty/fifty."
There was another flash of light and Lily's wedding band vanished from her finger. Lily wished she could be a fly on the wall when James and Dumbledore found out about this.
