What if Cardassians weren't so humanoid? This is a series of shorts where Garak is a less human, more reptilian Cardassian, based on spica-tea's redesign. When Garak receives a holosuite program of Cardassia Prime, Dr Bashir accompanies him to try it. After an accident which leaves Julian in critical condition, they discover they are trapped within the program and cannot contact the station. Odo goes off with Laas during 'Chimera'. Watching the Federation fall to the Dominion is bad enough. Then the effects of Section 31's virus catch up with them...

Deals with the aftermath of the shuttle that was transporting Sarina to science station being blown up by suspected Maquis. Devastated, Bashir withdraws, but with a little nudging from a 'Plain and Simple Tailor' he and Kira stumbled on a plot that threatens the very foundations of Starfleet. NO SLASH. Could be moved up to M in later chapters for violence.

When Garak is sent on a dangerous mission behind enemy lines to Cardassia, Dr Julian Bashir worries about him. It is very possible Garak will never return. If or when he does, Julian will be waiting for him.
